We toured from Dublin to the Ring of Kerry on 4/13/24 with Richard O’Brien. We thoroughly enjoyed the day! Richard was very informative, friendly, engaging, helpful and very professional. He even was able to “control” the weather that day and the rain stopped at each stop along the way!! We will highly recommend Richard and Paddywagontours to any and all friends and family who travel to Ireland.

In general trip was good

In general trip was good, Ireland is very beautiful country. The driver Paul was also good, polite and not loud. Calm music in the bus. For lunch I recommend a seafood dish, very tasty and filling. The only thing I didn’t like was the organizational aspect. 80 euros per person is quite a lot of money and everything was really good, but we didn’t get to the Titanic Museum, simply because we didn’t have time. And it's really frustrating because I pay for the tour, but it turns out that I won't get somewhere. This is weird.

Cliffs of Moher and Wild Atlantic Way

I booked the Cliffs of Moher and Wild Atlantic Way trip from Limerick through Viator. They didn't operate the itinerary advertised, skipping out what should have been the most interesting part. The driver claimed this was because authorities had issued new restrictions on where coaches could turn around. The driver extended the stop in Bunratty, but even with an extended stop it was too short to visit the castle. Arrived back in Limerick 1.5 hours earlier than scheduled due to the omitted parts of the tour. I contacted Paddywagon with feedback and they refused to accept any responsibility for failing to operate the tour as advertised. Gosha, who manages their Viator inbox, has absolutely no customer service skills whatsoever. He replied like he wanted to start an argument with me and even called me the wrong name.

A group of six of us recently travelled to Giant’s Causeway from Belfast. The scenery was beautiful and I’d recommend a trip to Giant’s Causeway to anyone. Our only problem was our driver. He was most unprofessional in dress and manner. He actually sat with his feet on the dashboard while we entered the coach. He advised strongly not to go into the visitor centre at Giant’s Causeway- that’s a complete waste of money! He made a stupid “joke” about a Japanese couple while we sat opposite a Japanese/Chinese couple! Overall I was embarrassed for the foreign tourists onboard ie is this what Irish people are really like! I would not recommend any tourist to travel with this company.

STRANDED ON A HIGHWAY

The driver left us stranded on a highway 80km from Dublin because he was in a rush to finish the tour early on Christmas Eve. Despite sending multiple emails, we received no response, and no refund was provided. Exercise caution when dealing with this company! If they eventually provide assistance, I may reconsider and update my review.

Didn't respect schedule. C'mon be honest

Booked a trip from Cork to Cliffs of Moher. It said "stop at Doolin village for lunch and visit" and instead without announcing it earlier we stopped at a regular place for lunch. We also missed another stop because they told us it was not accessible (again, NOT advertised before). We chose the tour because of this particular program and they didn't even bother to change it on their stupid site! When I asked they told me "oh yeah this was before, now they changed it". So why fooling people like this?!

Date of experience : November 05, 2023

Never recommend

The staff is definitely rude and improfessional. I feel very uncomfortable in the coach because of the terrible driving. We also had to stay in the highway for more than one hour while the driver didn't even try to explain. Will never reommend to anyone.

Glendalough and Wicklow Mountains

Went on a half day morning tour to Glendalough and Wicklow Mountains. Great trip, had er very nice guide/chauffeur called Alex who shared interesting stories about Ireland. Very beautiful mountains as well.

Our first Ireland Trip.

We recently returned from Ireland, where we went on a few tours with your company (from Dublin). We would like to point out one driver especially Gerry (though all have great knowledge). His wit, driving skills and historical knowledge made our all day tours very enjoyable.

Date of experience : April 14, 2023

Irish wit and breathtaking scenery

This is so much more than just a sightseeing tour. Last week our group had the pleasure of being guided by Gerry. Not only is he an excellent busdriver, he is also a remarkable tourguide, historian and in fact a comedian. He took great care of everyone, went out of his way to make it an interesting and unique experience. Us four Dutchies had the BEST time, saw so many wonderful things and we learned so much. I usually get nauseous quite quickly during bus rides but I was completely comfortable the entire trip. I'm so glad we booked with Paddywagon. Do yourself a favor, book the Giant's Causeway tour from Dublin and -if you weren't already- prepare to fall deeply in love with the Emerald Isle!

Cruise ship unable to dock in Dublin

Our cruise ship could not dock due to high seas so we missed the Dublin port. Contacted Paddywagon several times to ask for a refund. Paddywagon already had my money, so they did not even bother responding to my email! Poor customer service!!!!

This Tour Overdelivered!

This tour easily under promised and over delivered! We saw more sites than expected, a surprise dinner, a bus-on-ferry crossing of the Shannon River, and good accommodations. Our driver/guide, Cash, kept us well-informed, in good spirits, with great recommendations for food, drink, and shopping. Optional additions included a boat trip to view the Cliffs of Moher and a horse & carriage ride in Killarney. When the chef didn't turn up to cook breakfast the morning after Daylight Saving Time kicked in, our B&B host and Cash jumped in to cook all of us a full Irish, and it was delicious...and they kept us on schedule, bravo! I would do another tour!

AVOID! HORRIBLE! NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! NOT TO BE TRUSTED! Wife and friends booked 2 day trip (Dublin-Cork-Dublin). 2nd day they were left at The Cliffs of Moher. Driver told them trip had changed without any explanation. Had to make it back to Dublin by other means. Driver (Kevin) offered no help. Head office asked them to send an email with their issues. Ireland is wonderful, but do yourself a favour and avoid this company as they will ruin the experience! AVOID!

My GF and I took a day tour on 10/24/22. Bryan was our tour bus driver. For the most part the tour was presented nicely however towards the end of the tour Bryan decided to start talking about his opinion about Irish politics. We sure didn't ask for his opinion to be broadcast on the Bus speaker system nor did anyone else on the bus. So instead of having a enjoyable trip we wound up having to listen to Bryan ramble on, VERY unprofessional.

The Paddywaggon tour from Dublin to The Giants Causeway and Belfast was excellent. Beautiful sites were seen. The coach driver/tour guide, John, made the experience one to remember, he was hilarious, friendly, very knowledgeable and a fantastic singer. We would gladly sit on his coach for another 13 hours one day in the future.

Best day in Ireland

We had a day earlier and we were on Richard O’Brien’s Paddywagon Bus. He was so incredibly skilled driving and being our tour guide. We were on his chills of Moher Trip. We laughed and we met so many people from other countries. It was a long trip, but honestly wish it had been longer. Thank you Paddywagon for hiring Richard, I wish I could give him a 10 review but gave him 5 stars. Thank you paddywagon Richard for a wonderful fun filled day. Regards to all

Disgraceful customer services

Bus was oversold so I had to sit in the guides seat at the steps. 20 minutes into the journey a passenger vomited all over me, when I notified the office of this they offered me a freely available 10% discount code to use on my next booking.....

MOST disappointing Galaway tour!

MOST disappointing Galaway tour!! Waited 45 min and left Dublin at 9am, reaching Galaway at 3pm.That left 90 minutes to see Galway. Six hours on the bus w 2 short stops. We did not go to the silver mine or see the sheep dog farm, instead took us to a little town for a short stop. Driver left the radio on and did limited talking during bus ride. He was rude to some passengers. Dropped us off in Galway w little directions. Told us to take all our belongings because a different driver would meet us in Galway. We preferred to take the train back to Dublin rather than endure another 4 hour unpleasant bus ride. When we rerurned, we canceled a Paddywagon tour we had booked for later in the week. Suggest...take the train to see Galaway from Dublin...easier, faster and cheaper!

Unsatisfactory

Without going into too much detail, went on 2 day trip to north of Ireland. First day was good, hotel tiny and v noisy. Late pick up yesterday 28th august, could not get through to office on phone. Day was rushed, no time for scheduled lunch, stopped in Belfast on way home. Bus arrived in Dublin at 8.45 instead of 8.00 despite informing driver I had bus to catch to Galway. Missed my 8.45 bus, next bus at 9.45 full, got one at 10 which took 3.5 hours to get home but my main issue was my terrifying experience waiting along the quays on my own at bus stop and being approached all the time by people stoned and begging for money.

Date of experience : August 28, 2023

Do not book this company!

Do not book this company!! Terrible customer service! On our booking email there was no details about arriving at the bus stop 5-10 minutes early for our full day Belfast day tour. So we arrived on time (8:15am) and the bus left right in-front of us! Absolutely terrible when people have paid good money to visit Dublin & for the tour. Our day was wasted and we were so disappointed to miss this experience We have called the head office hundreds of times with no response. It’s just terrible. The students who take free walking tours around the city care provide better customer service! More care should be taken.

Best driver ever...

Had the best time.. views where amazing and so beautiful. We got rain on most of the day but that didn't ruin anything if anything it only made it even more beautiful. We also has the pleasure of having Richard O'Brian as our tour bus driver. He made this day trip not seam so long by keeping everyone laughing with his many jokes and stories, he also talk about Ireland history during the drive. I lear so much I didn't know about Ireland. He took good care of us by making sure we had great meal and a great time . But the best part and the thing I was most empress was with his driving. Ive never felt more safe in a huge bus till now..he makes it look easy.

Started right at 8am - don’t be late! They do run on somewhat of a strict schedule to make sure we get to all of the destinations on time. Rock of Cashel, Cork, and Blarney were all great. If you’re apprehensive of taking an all day bus tour it really doesn’t feel like it. There are plenty of breaks for restroom, snacks/lunch, and the route is pretty much a straightaway with not a lot of turns (if you’re subject to car sickness). I honestly was a little nervous being on a bus the whole day but it surprised me for sure and I had no issues. The bus itself was really comfortable with wifi on board, trash bags, an upper area for your bags, and usb ports in between the seats. The highlight of everything besides the beautiful sights was Richard, our guide. He was able to strike a wonderful balance of educating on the history of Ireland and humor. He made the whole experience entertaining which also helped pass the time even more. You can tell he really enjoys people and showing them around Ireland. He made the trip for us! Overall, great experience, try to leave any apprehension at the door & book it. As soon as you know it it’s the end of the tour and you’re on the way home. Would 10/10 recommend this tour to anyone wanting to visit these landmarks. Thanks Richard!

The tour and information was excellent. The bus driver even pushed me in the wheelchair as the golf carts were not running due to the weather. I was extremely grateful for his assistance. The only problem was our drop-off which was not at the same place as the pick-up. We are foreigners, it was late at night and pouring with rain. We got so lost that we had to take a taxi at great expense. Nobody in the area could help us find your offices. The 2 chaps in the shop cannot speak or understand English which is a problem especially as they are working with tourists whose common method of communication is English. However, Eduardo was a great driver and information provided made our stay in Dublin a more informed one. Thumbs up.

An absolutely beautiful area to enjoy. An awe inspiring experience allowing one to reflect and rejuvenate. The only negative was a whiny ill behaved child on the bus. Our guide handled the situation well.

This tour was nothing short of amazing. We’ve never seen all of Ireland (my first time here), and this was the perfect way to feel like you’re experiencing each highlight of the island, from Giants Causeway to Cliffs of Moher to the Ring of Kerry. The tour was well balanced and each spot was appropriately timed out. If you’re looking for a way to experience different areas of Ireland/understand its history and culture, this is a really good way to do it. We were very satisfied and really loved our group. And I can’t say enough good things about our driver/tour guide Danny. He was passionate, funny, knowledgeable, and an amazing storyteller. He was also incredibly considerate, ensuring that my pregnant wife didn’t carry a bag and that she was comfortable on the bus and in our room. He was really great. Some people told us he sings too, though you’ll have to ask him about that. Thanks to Danny and PW!

To be completely honest, this was the worst experience I have ever had on an organized tour and it doesn't even deserve one-star. My family in Ireland had recommended Paddywagon to us so that we could be with other energetic travelers and they are now regretting this after hearing each day what was happening. We spent a lot of money for this 8-day tour (July 22-29, 2023) and it was beyond disappointing all-around and my family (there in Dublin and Waterford Counties) are just utterly shocked at how this tour went for my sister and I as Paddywagon has been around for years and they thought we would have a good experience. I will include commentary from my sister, but I want to point out that I did email Paddywagon during the tour (twice) and I never got a response back yet they were quick to respond to me prior to me booking the 8-day tour. Lowlights: Itinerary was changed and we got very few stops as the driver determined they were not worth going to and/or there was no time to stop for them and we spent 6-8 hours just sitting on a bus; absolutely no commentary on the history/sites from a very sick Driver who was coughing and sneezing and for which I had to provide him with cough drops and purchase more for him until he finally went into a pharmacy to get medication; had to endure and cater to a sick child on the tour bus for which we had to make a detour to a pharmacy for and almost had to take another detour to take her to a hospital - why, would Paddywagon allow a sick driver and a sick passenger to continue on the tour putting other passengers at risk; the WiFi only worked sporadically for the first 3 days of the tour and then after that never worked again; a couple of the accommodations were beyond horrible - dirty/filthy and I have photos to show the state of the bedding; the driver allowed a couple of the 6-day tour passengers to stay on the tour and even took a side-trip to pick up one of the 6-day passengers friends and allow them to tour around with the 8-day tour passengers. Just a complete disappointment all around and my family in Ireland and I will never recommend a Paddywagon tour to anyone ever again after this experience and unprofessionalism by the Driver. From my sister who had never been to Ireland: "This was my first trip to Ireland. I was so excited to take the 8-day tour. The itinerary covered all of the key places I had heard of. I was greatly looking forward to seeing all of the beautiful landscapes and towns, learning of the history along the way. However, the tour did not go as planned nor did it cover all of the sites it claimed it would. I did see lots of beautiful countryside, and some of the listed stops. However first we were rerouted across southern Ireland. This caused much more driving time and less time at the stops we were meant to have. Many of the places we were supposed to see we were not able to. Our tour guide, John... though a nice man, did not have knowledge of most of the places we went. All he talked about were places to eat. I had to tell him multiple times that we didn't come to Ireland for the food, we came to see the country. He was just a driver with a horrible cold, and not what you assume you're getting when taking a tour. So many of our assigned stops were not made, yet he did add on a couple other stops, which were nice, however, that was additional money we had to pay to view what he took us to. For example, he decided to take us to Bunratty Castle right before it was getting ready to close up for the nightly dinner show and we had to pay the entrance fee ourselves (not included in the tour) and then be told we had to hurry up as we only had 10 minutes before the castle would close for the nightly dinner. Most towns and sites we visited we were given an hour or one hour and a half at the most; which meant we were hurried along and barely enough time to even see anything (this included trying to get something to eat for lunch). So many of our scheduled stops he didn't make claiming we would not see anything anyways because of the rain. We missed the entire area of the Rings of Kerry, Molly Gap, Ladies View, Leprechaun Crossing, Killarney National Park and the lakes of Killarney, and Strandhill. We were taken only to Torc Waterfall. After visiting the Cliffs of Moher he was going to bypass the Burren completely. First, he claimed due to the rain he would not stop at the Burren as there wasn't anything to see. I finally pointed out that it's Ireland, it rains and why was it listed on our tour if this was an area not worth seeing. So he then relented as I was so upset and threw a fit on the bus, so he pulled over to the side of the road next to the Burren and allowed my sister and I to go out for a very short walk on the lunar landscape. Though we were not permitted enough time to see the underground rivers and waterfalls of the Burren as he refused to stop again. He wanted to quickly get up to Galway is what he kept saying over and over, I assumed ...

Covid times. Look I get it everyone has had a rough time , especially the travel industry; however, the promise of my refund has come and gone, even the charge back to the credit card. Multiple requests submitted, at this point I'm just wasting my time dealing with them. Nice to see them back up and running looking at their Facebook page, but would be nice if they actually followed through on their refund policy.

We took the bus tour to cliffs of moher from Dublin. The driver was entertaining and The cliffs were beautiful. The bus ride was terrible!!! Extremely small cramped seats (and I am only 5'1")!!! I would recommend something more comfortable since it's a 3 hour trip each way.

My husband and I booked the 6 day tour of Southern Ireland. The sights were awesome but we spent way too much time on the bus. Our driver was very good but not a tour guide. He did not follow the itinerary that was on the Paddy Wagon website and seemed to have his own agenda. Would have liked to have more time at most locations. Overall disappointed.

T Terrible they overbooked the tour then made it impossible to get a refund that day. Horrible experience, staff unable to do the right thing!

Four of us booked a September 2019 day tour to the Blarney Castle and Garden and Cashel Rock from Dublin, Ireland. The cost for the tour was 59 euros ($64). This was a good price considering admission to both attractions costs 20 euros and the price of transportation could have easily exceeded 40 euros. Our bus was set to leave at 8 am on the dot, and we woke up at 7 am, due to a hard drinking night and an unheard alarm clock. Needless to say, we were dressed, teeth unbrushed and hair uncombed and inside an Uber in 10 minutes. Luckily the bus left about 5 minutes late and we barely climbed through the door before it closed. Our tour guide had us laughing the entire trip. He had worked as a bar bouncer/tender and told some interesting stories. The two stops we made allowed for enough time to view the sites and take photos, although I wish we had had more time at Cashel Rock to finish our tour with the site history guide. She was only half done with her tour when we left to meet the bus. If you visit, September is a great time, because we only waited 10 minutes to kiss the Blarney Stone. There were signs parallel to the sidewalk marking waits of sixty and ninety minutes, apparently on busier days. I will have to wait and see if kissing the stone improved my oratory skills. We stopped for lunch in Cork. Our tour guide raved about Son of a Bun burger joint and I'm glad we listened to him. Top five burger I've ever had! See my review. I highly recommend Paddywagon tours, a great time was had by all.

Our tour guide was just great Richard O'Brien was the best funny, knowledgeable and made the day. Now the bus we had was another story it leaked rain. Defroster on the front windows were not working good and had no side mirror for the driver was not that safe. Not sure why 35 people were on that bus with all these problems. I am sure most people will never have this kind of bus other tours we took were great.

This is a must. Tour guides are supper funny. Describe where they are going and all you do is sit back and enjoy the view. Well worth the money.

Paddy wagon Tours + our guide, Cash, made our trip exceptional! The whole group truly enjoyed our experience, from Cashs great sense of humor and patience with a large group, to throwing in amazing surprise stops and making sure we received the best bang for our buck ! We were in fantastic hands. 10/10 would book with them again!

We just finished a private tour around Ireland. Our driver Cash went over and above. His knowledge of Ireland, friendliness, quick wit and humorous blarney made our week so much better than anticipated. He kept us moving and on schedule so we were able to see it all. It was like herding cats for him at times, bless him. He was also able to tweak our planned itinerary so we could add more stops and sites than we had ever thought possible. He was good at reading our tour group and suggested some things that he thought we may enjoy. Who better than someone local to ask for tips on what to see. I would highly recommend taking a Paddy wagon tour and ask for Cash 10 stars
