Bernabeu Stadium Tour

Santiago Bernabeu Stadium is the home of Real Madrid, the most decorated football side in club football.

Stars such as Zidane, Beckham, Ronaldo, Sanchez, Ramos, Kaká, Cristiano, etc., have created some of this stadium’s most beautiful footballing memories.

More than one million tourists tour Santiago Bernabeu in Madrid every year, and the passion this place evokes can rival many pilgrimage destinations worldwide.

This article covers everything you must know before booking Bernabéu Stadium Tour tickets.

What to expect on the bernabeu tour, where to book tickets, how do online tickets work, self-guided bernabeu tour tickets, guided tour of bernabeu stadium, self-guided vs. guided bernabeu tour, bernabeu tour audio guide, how to get to santiago bernabeu stadium, santiago bernabeu tour entrance, bernabeu tour’s matchday timings, best time to visit bernabeu stadium, how long does the bernabeu tour take.

The Bernabeu Tour begins at the highest part of the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, with stunning panoramic field views from the second stand.

You get a sense of the massive Stadium that can seat more than 80,000 spectators.

You then continue the tour to the ‘Best Club Ever Room’ to see the collection of objects and trophies won by Real Madrid over the years.

After seeing the silverware, you will understand why Real Madrid is known as the ‘Best club of the 20th century’.

You learn about Real Madrid’s history at the Sensations Room through its past legends and titles won.

In this room, you can see the current first team’s skills and goals and see them interacting in an audiovisual presentation projected on an 11-meter (36-foot) screen.

After taking photographs and selfies with your idols, you move to the ‘Kings of Europe’ room to see the 13 European Cups won by Real Madrid.

Santiago Bernabeu Tour then takes you to the team benches, where you can try being in the Real Madrid coach’s difficult shoes.

You also get a privileged view of the play area near the benches, which usually only the players experience.

Next, it is time for the dressing room, which is the most important place for any soccer team, for it is here that they receive instructions from the coach and prepare for the match.

Finally, you head to the press room, where the team’s coach handles the media’s questions.

You leave the Tour del Bernabeu feeling like a Real Madrid player.

Once you purchase tickets, they get delivered to your email address.

There is no need to get printouts of the ticket.

Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in Madrid

Both tours follow the same route, and visitors can see the same places of interest within Stadium Santiago Bernabeu.

All visitors on a Santiago Bernabeu Tour get to see and experience the following –

  • Panoramic view of the Stadium
  • The ‘Best Club in History’ room
  • ‘Sensations’ room
  • Video and photo montages with players
  • Walk around the perimeter of the playing field.
  • Virtual reality area
  • The Presidential Box
  • First team dressing room
  • Players’ tunnel
  • The pressroom
  • Official souvenir shop

However, Real Madrid’s official guides make the visit far more memorable on a guided tour by sharing history, narrating anecdotes, etc.

They also ensure you don’t miss any important exhibits and experiences.

On a self-guided tour, the Bernabeu Tour audio guide, available in ten languages, helps you through.

Another difference is the timing of your visit – self-guided tickets are available all day, while guided tours are available only four times a day.

The Guided Bernabeu Tour starts at 10 am or 12 pm when it operates.

Real Madrid and Microsoft have joined to create the Bernabeu tour’s audio guide.

It incorporates the most advanced technological features to make your visit to the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium and the Real Madrid Museum a fun experience.

The interactive audio guide allows visitors to enjoy a personalized experience by choosing one of the three tours available based on their preference.

Santiago Bernabéu is located in central Madrid on the Paseo de la Castellana, one of Madrid’s principal avenues.

Address: Av. de Concha Espina 1, 28036 Madrid. Get Directions .

On weekdays, Madrid’s buses start at 6 am and continue till 11.30 pm with a frequency of 4 to 15 minutes (which depends on the line and the time of day).

On weekends and public holidays, buses start at 7 am and return to the shed at 11 pm.

The Lima-Santiago Bernabéu (Bus No: 14, 43, 120, 150) is just a minute away from the attraction.

Note: If you have booked a hop-on-hop-off Madrid tour bus , you can get off at Stop 7 (Santiago Bernabéu) of Route 2 (Modern Madrid).

The Santiago Bernabéu Station (Services: 10) is just a few steps from the Stadium.

Santiago Bernabeu Stadium to Tour Bernabeu

If you can’t directly board Line 10, you can first get to either Plaza de España or Tribunal Station , both of which fall on the Line 10 route.

If you get to the Real Madrid Stadium outside Madrid City, you can take a train to Nuevos Ministerios (Trains: C1, C2, C3, C4, C4a, C4b, C7, C10, REGIONAL).

Nuevos Ministerios train station is 800 meters (half a mile) from the Bernabeu Tour entrance, and you can walk the distance in about 10-12 minutes.

Nuevos Ministerios train station to Tour Bernabeu

For timings and tickets, check out Renfe , the company that manages trains in Spain.

All Real Madrid stadium tour participants must enter from the Tower B entrance on Concha Espina Avenue.

Tower B is where the Paseo de la Castellana meets Calle Concha Espina. Get Directions

Bernabeu tour entrance in Tower B

If you have booked your Santiago Bernabeu tickets online, you can show them on your mobile at the Tower B entrance and walk in.

If you don’t have a ticket, purchase one from Box Office 3, beside Gate 34 at Tower B.

However, we recommend booking in advance for two reasons:

  • You get to avoid long lines at the ticket counters
  • Online tickets are 3 Euros cheaper than at the venue

Bernabeu tour hours

From Monday to Saturday, the Bernabeu tour at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium starts at 9.30 am and closes at 7 pm.

On Sundays and holidays, the Tour of the World’s best soccer stadium and Museum opens at 10 am and goes on till 6.30 pm.

The last entry is 90 minutes before closure.

The Santiago Bernabeu tour is open throughout the year, except for 25 December and 1 January.

On the day of the match, you can join Tour del Bernabeu for up to 5 hours before the game starts.

The changing rooms are closed from the day before at 1 pm, so you can’t visit the team dressing room on match days.

First team's changing room at Bernabeu stadium

Once the changing room closes, you can only visit the ‘Best Club in History’ and the ‘Sensations’ rooms and enjoy the Stadium’s panoramic view.

When it is four hours to go for the match, all Bernabeu tour participants are requested to leave.

The best time to visit Bernabeu Stadium for the Real Madrid Stadium and Museum tour is as soon as they open at 9.30 am.

Large group tours start arriving around 11 am, crowding the experience.

Santiago Bernabeu also receives many visitors from schools around Spain and Europe, all of whom tend to arrive at the same time.

The dressing rooms are closed from 1 pm, the day before a matchday. When you start early, you see these rooms even if the next day were a match day.

Real Madrid fans are known to spend at least three to four hours on the Santiago Bernabeu tour.

That’s because fans spend a lot of time taking official pictures ‘with’ the players, sitting in the club seats on the field to soak in the experience, spending time in the shop looking at souvenirs, etc.

Tourists in a hurry are known to finish their Real Madrid stadium tour in 90 minutes or so.

The guided tour of Santiago Bernabeu Stadium , where an official Real Madrid CF guide takes you around, also lasts 90 minutes. However, guided tours are not highly rated.

La celebración privada del Real Madrid, dos horas de espera en el Bernabéu y muchas collejas

La plantilla y el cuerpo técnico vieron el Girona-Barça con familiares y amigos en el palco del estadio, donde celebraron el título durante unos minutos... Y a casa. El domingo que viene, Cibeles.

  • 27 comentarios

‘Anything’s possible’ with Bayern ready for semi-final second leg against Real Madrid

Created on 07-05-2024 at 21:00 PM

FC Bayern take on Real Madrid in Spain in the Champions League semi-final second leg on Wednesday with a place in the Wembley final on the line (kick-off at 9pm CEST, coverage on fcbayern.com and in the FC Bayern app with our live text commentary and free web radio). With the tie finely poised at 2-2 after the first leg eight days ago, there must be a winner in Madrid, even if it takes a penalty shootout. Here’s all you need to know ahead of the game in our preview.

Recap all the build-up to the second leg from Tuesday:

Champions League

Build-up to bayern’s semi-final second leg in madrid, state of play.

Bayern have long put their 3-1 defeat to VfB Stuttgar t at the weekend behind them after what Thomas Tuchel called a “sandwich game” between the two Real legs. The team’s full focus has been solely on the big goal of reaching the Champions League final in London. “It’s a gift and an obligation in one. We’re playing in the semi-final to reach the final. We’re playing to get to Wembley and nothing else,” said the 50-year-old at his press conference on Tuesday evening . Despite a less than pleasing domestic campaign, Bayern have proven this season that they can always switch it on for the Champions League, losing just one out of 11 games in Europe this term (with 10 men away at Lazio).

“I think it’ll be a very complex game, with different phases. In the phases where you have the momentum, you need luck to be on your side, precision and conviction. Then anything’s possible,” Tuchel added. That’s how Bayern want to enjoy their next magical night at the Bernabeu, like in May 2001 with their most recent win at the home of Real, or in April 2012 when they reached the Finale dahoam on penalties. “You need to turn the external factors into something positive. We’ll try to do that. If we perform, we’re definitely a candidate for the final,” said captain Manuel Neuer . Tuchel then underlined the facts: “The state of play is clear. The winner goes to Wembley, and we want to be the winner.”

We’ve taken a look back at some huge semi-final clashes between Bayern and Real Madrid at the Bernabeu:

Away at Real Madrid

Bayern’s special semi-final nights at the bernabeu, opponent: real madrid.

A 3-0 win against Cadiz at the weekend helped Real secure the LaLiga title, but they aren’t done yet in their quest for trophies. It was a second piece of domestic silverware for Los Blancos in 2023/24 after also lifting Spain’s Supercopa. They came up short in the Copa del Rey, however, with a 4-2 extra-time defeat to Atletico Madrid in the round of 16 at the start of the year. That remains only of only two losses for Carlo Ancelotti’s men in 49 competitive fixtures this season. The other also came against Atletico in the league meeting in September. At home, Real haven’t been beaten in any competition for over a year.

The Champions League record holders look in good shape in their quest for a 15th title after their most recent success in 2022, but Bayern will very much still have their say. “We saw in the first leg that we can compete and will get out chances if we play to our plan,” stated sporting director Christoph Freund before the flight to Madrid. “We’ll face a special atmosphere inside the Bernabeu, but we’re well prepared and feeling positive.”

Real Madrid were confirmed as champions in Spain at the weekend:

Victory over Cádiz

Real madrid seal spanish championship title.

Bayern remain without Kingsley Coman (adductor), Sacha Boey (hamstring), Bouna Sarr (ACL) and Tarek Buchmann (muscular), but now also Raphael Guerreiro after he suffered an ankle injury at the weekend in Stuttgart. Matthijs de Ligt and Jamal Musiala have travelled to Madrid, though.

David Alaba will again miss out against his former club as he continues to recover from a cruciate ligament injury. Dani Carvajal is available again after serving a suspension in the first leg.

Read up on the facts ahead of the game:

Encouragement & top scorers

The facts ahead of real madrid vs. bayern, what the coaches say.

Thomas Tuchel We’ll experience different phases of who provides the rhythm. We need great solidarity and belief, but also have to earn that through little things.
Carlo Ancelotti (Real Madrid) Real and Bayern are very similar. Bayern also have great tradition. They’ve experienced a lot in the past, including in Europe. We very much respect Bayern. They were better than us in the first leg. We need to give our best.

The 2024 UEFA Champions League semifinals continue as Real Madrid hosts Bayern Munich on Wednesday on Paramount+ . Both teams were on fire in the first leg of the competition and fought to a 2-2 in Germany last week. Champions League picks for Bayern vs. Real Madrid

Before you tune in to Wednesday's match, you need to see the UEFA Champions League picks from SportsLine soccer expert Martin Green . After working in the sports betting industry for several years, Green became a professional sports writer and handicapper and has covered the game worldwide. Since the World Cup, Green has been profitable in multiple areas on his soccer picks, including the Champions League (+4.78 units), the FA Cup (+3.07), the EFL Cup (+3.64), Euro 2024 qualifiers (+3.01) and the Europa League (+1.60).

For Real Madrid vs. Bayern, Green is picking both teams to score and Over 2.5 goals to be scored for a -120 payout. Los Blancos have been excellent at home in league play, scoring 43 goals and conceding only nine in a 17-game span where they have not lost. However, the expert notes they have been more vulnerable defensively in UCL play, settling for a 1-1 draw at home against RB Leipzig and a 3-3 draw against Manchester.

Meanwhile, Bayern have had their own defensive struggles as of late, which were noticeable in the first leg of this matchup. Green notes that Madrid are the favorite, but reminds that they have let goals into their net.

"Real Madrid is likely to concede once again on Wednesday, as Bayern Munich has a wealth of attacking talent within its ranks," Green told SportsLine. "Yet Vinícius, Rodrygo and Jude Bellingham should cause all sorts of problems for Bayern's struggling defense, so it is easy to see why Real Madrid is the favorite to win this game."  Stream the game here  and  check out full soccer coverage on CBS Sports Golazo Network .
