"I’m so excited to go back out on tour again in 2011! The 'Fearless Tour' was so much fun and even more unforgettable than I ever imagined, and I can't wait to get back out and play my new music from Speak Now! The fans have been so amazing and I'm thrilled to play in new cities around the world and meet even more of my fans in 2011!" [3]

While promoting her current album, Swift mentioned her excitement for her upcoming tour. She stated the tour was going to be "big" and "extensive". [4] On November 23, 2010, various media outlets—including Billboard Magazine announced the second tour by Swift. [5] It follows her successful Fearless Tour which played for over 100 dates in over five countries. The tour marked the singer's first tour to perform in stadiums. Before the tour commenced, Swift performed "The Allure of Taylor Swift" aboard the MS Allure of the Seas at the Allure of the Seas Aquatheater, as apart Royal Caribbean Cruises in January 2011. [6]

Taylor Swift ‘s Eras Tour set list features a surprise song (or two), so far performed during a mini acoustic set, on each date of the the superstar’s trek, which kicked off in March 2023.

Guitar in hand and making her way to the end of the stage’s catwalk at March 17’s Eras kickoff in Glendale, Ariz., Swift revealed her intentions for the acoustic portion of her long-awaited live show. She’ll perform a surprise song that will not be played again on this tour — probably.

“The plan, the goal, would be to play different songs every single night and never repeat one. Right? So that when you heard one on this tour, you would know it’s the only time that I was going to play it in the acoustic set, unless — caveat — unless I mess it up so badly,” she said with a small laugh, “that I have to do it over again in some other city. Send your best wishes towards me that I don’t do that.”

Here Are All the Celebrities Who Have Attended Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour

The Eras Tour is her first real tour in five years, and the first time the prolific songwriter is getting to perform selections from Lover , Folklore , Evermore and Midnights to sold-out stadium crowds.

Eras Tour night one introduced a career-spanning, whopping 44-song setlist with a runtime of more than three hours, with Swift playing anywhere from one to eight tracks from all 10 of her full-length studio albums. The show’s nightly surprise is sure to keep her fans on their tallest tiptoes, waiting to hear what gem will be unveiled at their concert.

"Mirrorball"

Performed at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona (March 17, 2023)

“I was thinking about the first one I would play for you,” Swift said at the very first Eras Tour concert, to a crowd of fans who were still gloriously spoiler-free about what was in store for the rest of the show. “I was thinking about what song to play first, and I was thinking about how one of the songs that I wrote with you in mind during the pandemic was one of the first songs I wrote for Folklore , and it was me writing about how badly I craved the connection that I feel from the care that you have directed in my way. I’m trying to tell you I love you, and I’m babbling,” she noted. Swift tried again: “I was trying to think of sort of an eloquent way to say that I love you and I need your attention all the time, and I came up with ‘I’m a mirrorball.'” After the wordy intro, Swift begins singing “Mirrorball” at the 2:17 timestamp in the video above.

"Tim McGraw"

“I was thinking about tonight and how special this is,” Swift explained on the opening night of The Eras Tour, and then added, “So I thought it might be kind of fun to play the very first song I ever put out.” The crowd gladly sang along to her pretty piano rendition of her debut single, nearly 17 years after it was first released. “Tim McGraw” was the only track from her first album to make the Eras setlist in Arizona.

"This Is Me Trying"

“I keep forgetting what key it’s in — one second. It’s lost all concept to me,” Swift joked before launching into the emotional Folklore track as the first of two surprise songs, at the second show of The Eras Tour.

"State of Grace"

Swift brought the Red album opener down to its roots as a piano ballad in Glendale. Her delicate vocals were echoed by a stadium of thousands joining in, making for a chilling moment of connection between a singer-songwriter and her fans.

“I do get ideas from places. I actually saw an interview that Beabadoobee did — who is our amazing, brilliant opening act tonight — and they were saying, ‘Oh, you’re going on The Eras Tour. What song might you want to hear?’ And she was like, ‘I grew up listening to songs on her first album.’ And she named a specific song. So I figured, you know what, for her first show with us, I’ll play the specific song that she said she would want to hear. So this is a song I wrote for my ninth-grade talent show. It’s called ‘Our Song.’”

"Snow on the Beach"

“Lana Del Rey put out a new album. It’s called Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd. Guys, it’s so good. You probably already know that, but it’s just extraordinary. I just think she’s the best that we have. I think we need to make it a priority as a group to stream, buy, support this album and this artist. She knows I’m obsessed with her, and she was kind enough to make a song with me on Midnights called ‘Snow on the Beach’ because she’s a generous king. She did that for me, and I’ll never forget how nice she’s been to me. It’s so cool when you have favorite artists and they turn out to be so nice to you. I wanted to just do some promo for her, and also, in honor of this brilliant album that she just put out, I wanted to play ‘Snow on the Beach.’”

"Cowboy Like Me" (with Marcus Mumford)

“Sad Beautiful Tragic”

Performed at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas (March 31, 2023)

Swift worked in “Sad Beautiful Tragic” from Red to the setlist during her acoustic portion of the Arlington show. Strumming it on just an acoustic guitar, she introduced the song saying, “I love this one. When I love a song, I don’t care what anyone says.”

A pretty long speech came before the first-ever solo (and first-ever at all) live performance of the heart-wrenching Evermore highlight, originally a duet with with Matt Berninger.

“Any time I’m gonna talk about or even reference another artist, I feel inclined to tell you that if they’re not here, they’re not here,” she warned the crowd. “No one else is here. You are stuck with me. It’s only me. But I am gonna talk about another artist. I just feel like, you know, stadiums are huge and it’s important to really communicate, so that’s what I’m doing. I’m gonna talk about another artist who has an album that just came out that is so incredible. The National just had an album come out. "The Best Day"

Tears had to have been aplenty throughout the stadium on Mother’s Day as Swift told the story of “The Best Day” and performed it on piano.

“I secretly recorded a song on Fearless ,” she told the crowd, recalling being 16 or 17 at the time and explaining that it was very tricky to get this project done without her mother knowing. “It was very sneaky and fun,” she said.

“I wrote this song just compiling these sort of core childhood memories I had of not just her as a mother but her as a friend,” Swift said. After playing the sweet song for her mom for the first time, while showing her the video of personal family footage set to the track that she edited together herself, she asked her mom, “Did you like the song?” “It’s such a beautiful song. Where did you find it? It sounds exactly like the things we went through” Mom replied, not even comprehending that her own daughter would write a song about the two of them. “I wrote it and recorded it secretly,” Taylor told her. “It is our memories. That’s about us.” Needless to say, there were plenty of tears that day, too.

For the first time in Eras Tour history, Swift performed both surprise songs on guitar. That’s because her piano took on a life of its own after getting damaged by rain during the show the night prior, causing Swift to last-minute switch over to guitar for “Red.”

“Literally, it was like a water park under the stage,” she recalled to fans at the May 21 show. “This has clearly broken my keyboard. It was literally underwater — I don’t know how any of the instruments were working last night.”

Midnights is the most recent album to drop before Taylor’s Eras Tour, so it’s no surprise that it takes up a good portion of the setlist. Swift prefaced her “Dear John” performance by encouraging fans to show “kindness and gentleness” on the internet ahead of her  Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)  album release on July 7.

“I’m 33 years old. I don’t care about anything that happened to me when I was 19,” she said when introducing the 2010 ballad, about a toxic relationship with an older man, widely assumed to be the singer’s ex-boyfriend  John Mayer .

“I’m not putting this album out so that you can go and should feel the need to defend me on the internet against someone you think I might have written a song about 14 billion years ago.”

“Dear John” appears on Swift’s third album,  Speak Now . The track peaked at No. 54 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 2010.

“I am gonna do a thing that I really, really, really wanna do right now” Swift told the crowd, and revealed that for the first time on The Eras Tour, she’d be playing three songs during her acoustic set.

Swift teamed up with her frequent collaborator  Aaron Dessner  for the first live performance of “Right Where You Left Me” in Santa Clara, Calif., on July 28. Prior to the performance, Swift warned concert-goers that it was one of her more challenging songs to play live.

“Because it’s one of our favorites, there’s more pressure on it,” Swift  told  the crowd. “Also, this is one of the wordiest songs. I have been rehearsing this for weeks, OK? And I’ve never, ever gotten it 100% right. Not even one time. If this is the time that I get it right, you have no idea what kind of celebration I’m going to be exhibiting after that. And also, this goes for you. If you can get all the words right to this song, you get to pat yourself on the back. You win an imaginary prize. It’s yours. We love this song and I hope that I somewhat do it justice.”

As expected, the songstress goofed up the lyrics before laughing it off and starting again where they left off. “It was too good to be true!” she said. “I knew that I would f— that up! We really can’t let that be it, so now we’ve got to go back.”

When Swift played the opening chords of “Exile” from 2020’s  Folklore  for the second surprise song, the crowd cheered wildly and started searching the stage for her duet partner  Bon Iver . After all, the only other time Swift has performed the song live is alongside Justin Vernon when she  popped up during a Bon Iver concert in London  last year. But the singer/songwriter ended up performing the duet solo instead on Monday night – which made for an incredible communal experience when the crowd filled in for Vernon on the bridge, creating a powerful call-and-response between Swift and her ever-prepared fans.

Taylor Swift is nearly done with the U.S. leg of her Eras Tour , but there’s a new set list that has a slight update from the previous shows!

The 33-year-old singer was already performing 45 songs a night during her 3+ hour show, but she has added an extra challenge by putting another song on the setlist.

Taylor dropped the re-recorded album Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) on July 7 and she added a song from that album to the set that evening. She’s now performed it at every show since, cementing the fact that it will likely remain on the setlist until the end of the tour.

Fans are so excited because it’s a song that Taylor has previously dedicated to her most devoted followers.

Your Complete Guide to the Eras Tour Set List — Including the Changes For the Movie

The first leg of Taylor Swift's Eras Tour ended this August, but fans get to relive the magic of the show thanks to the Eras Tour film . In the movie, released Oct. 13 in theaters worldwide, fans can experience Swift's live show on the big screen (and tickets are a lot cheaper).

During the tour, which started back in March, Swift has sampled songs from throughout her career. While fans always knew her set list was never going to be able to include the entirety of her vast catalog, the musician did her best to give fans a song from almost every one of her eras (only her debut album, "Taylor Swift," didn't get its own official section of the set list). And before wrapping up her first set of US dates, Swift revealed the imminent arrival of "1989 (Taylor's Version)," which will be released Oct. 27.

And if the Swifties in your life seem a little intense about deciphering clues in the set list and Swift's tour outfits, you can't blame them. The Grammy winner has a proven record of dropping clues for her fans to find. For example, on Aug. 9 she debuted new blue versions of her Eras Tour costumes to celebrate the "1989 (Taylor's Version)" reveal at the end of the show. And earlier in the tour, Swift removed "Invisible String" — which is believed to be about boyfriend Joe Alwyn — from her set list days before news broke that the pair had split .

As you head to the Eras Tour film (or look forward to tour dates to come in late 2023 and 2024), we've rounded up every track she's performed during the Eras Tour so far, organized by album. That includes surprise songs and special guests like Phoebe Bridgers , Ice Spice, HAIM, and Maren Morris. Taylor Swift Eras Tour Debut Album Set List

Swift hasn't been playing any songs from her self-titled debut consistently, but she brought out "Tim McGraw" on March 17 in Glendale and "Our Song" on March 24 in Las Vegas as acoustic surprises. On April 22, she surprised Houston fans by playing "A Place in This World," and the following night she performed "Cold as You." She also played "Teardrops on My Guitar" in Nashville on May 5.

On May 19, Swift played "Should've Said No" from her debut album in Foxborough, MA. The following night, she performed another song from her debut, "Invisible." On June 30 in Cincinnati, she performed "I'm Only Me When I'm With You." On July 14 in Denver, she sang "Picture to Burn." During the July 24 show in Seattle, she performed "Tied Together With a Smile." On Aug. 4, she once again played "Our Song."

Taylor Swift Eras Tour "Fearless" Set List

Swift's set list includes three songs from her "Fearless" era: "You Belong With Me," "Love Story," and "Fearless."

She also surprised fans with "Jump Then Fall" at her April 2 show in Arlington, TX, and "You're Not Sorry" at her April 21 performance in Houston. On April 28, she wowed fans in Atlanta with a rendition of "The Other Side of the Door," and on May 5 she graced Nashville fans with "Fifteen."

Swift took a special request from her friend Lena on May 13 and played "Forever & Always" for her Philadelphia fans. Also in Philadelphia, on May 14, the Grammy winner performed "Hey Stephen" for the crowd, before honoring her mom for Mother's Day by breaking out "The Best Day."

On June 3, she brought special guest Maren Morris on stage to perform "You All Over Me." On June 10, she performed "Breathe." Vault track "Mr. Perfectly Fine" made its live debut on June 16, and Swift sang "If This Was a Movie" on June 23. On Aug. 25, she performed "Tell Me Why."

Taylor Swift Eras Tour "Speak Now" Set List

Swift has consistently played one song from "Speak Now" at all of her shows — "Enchanted."

She also added the song "Ours" at her March 31 tour stop in Arlington, TX, and performed the titular song from the album during her April 13 performance in Tampa, FL. She went on to play "Mean" on April 15, also in Tampa. She also played "Sparks Fly" and "Mine" at her May 5 and May 7 shows in Nashville. She then sang "Haunted" on June 9, "The Story of Us" on June 17, and "Dear John" on June 24.

On July 7 and 8 in Kansas City, Swift celebrated the release of "Speak Now (Taylor's Version)" by adding "Long Live" to the "Speak Now" portion of the set list, and it seems to be a permanent addition to the concert. For the surprise songs on July 7, Swift sang "Never Grow Up" and "When Emma Falls in Love." Then on July 8, she performed "Last Kiss."

On July 14 in Denver, Swift performed the vault track "Timeless," and the next night she performed "Back to December." On July 28, she sang the vault song "Castles Crumbling," and on Aug. 3, she performed another song from the vault, "I Can See You."

Taylor Swift Eras Tour "Red" Set List

Swift has played "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," "22," and "All Too Well (10 Minute Version)" from "Red" at each of her shows so far. She also brought out Phoebe Bridgers to play "Nothing New" from "Red (Taylor's Version)" in Nashville on May 5 and 6, and she and Bridgers performed the show every night that Bridgers opened in May.

Swift also surprised fans with "State of Grace" on March 18 in Glendale, AZ; "Sad Beautiful Tragic" on March 31 in Arlington, TX; "The Lucky One" on April 2, also in Arlington; and "Treacherous" on April 13 in Tampa, FL. She then brought out "Begin Again" in Houston on April 23 and played "I Bet You Think About Me" in Atlanta on April 30.

On May 12, she took a special request from her guest performer Bridgers and performed "Come Back... Be Here" during her Philadelphia show. Then on May 19, in Foxborough, MA, she pulled a song from the vault and performed "Better Man" from "Red (Taylor's Version)."

After her piano was damaged due to rain exposure, Swift performed "Red" on her guitar during the May 21 show in Foxborough. A few days later, on May 26 in East Rutherford, NJ, she surprised the crowd with "Holy Ground."

In June, Swift performed quite a few "Red" songs during the surprise portion of the show. On June 4, she did "The Moment I Knew." On June 9, she performed "I Almost Do," and on June 16, she sang "The Last Time." The next surprise song on "Red" came July 15 when she sang "Starlight." On July 22, she sang "Everything Has Changed" (without collaborator Ed Sheeran ), and on July 23 she sang "Message in a Bottle." On July 29, she sang "Stay Stay Stay."

Taylor Swift Eras Tour "1989" Set List

Swift has been playing "1989"'s "Blank Space," "Style," "Shake It Off," "Bad Blood," and "Wildest Dreams" at all of her shows.

She also played "Clean" on April 1 in Arlington, TX, and "Wonderland" on April 21 in Houston. She then surprised fans with "How You Get the Girl" in Atlanta on April 29 and performed "Out of the Woods" in Nashville on May 6. On May 13, she played "This Love" near the end of her Philadelphia show, and on May 28, she performed "Clean" and "Welcome to New York" in New Jersey.

The pop star then kicked off June in Chicago with a June 2 performance of "I Wish You Would." And on June 10, she performed "All You Had to Do Was Stay." On Aug. 4, Swift sang "You Are in Love," and on Aug. 8 she sang "I Know Places." Then on Aug. 9, she performed "New Romantics" as the surprise song, making "1989" the first album to have all its songs performed on the Eras Tour.

Swift's "Reputation" picks include "...Ready For It?," "Don't Blame Me," "Delicate," and "Look What You Made Me Do."

She also surprised fans with "Gorgeous" on April 29 in Atlanta. Later, on May 26, she brought surprise guest Jack Antonoff on stage during her May 26 concert in East Rutherford, NJ, to perform "Getaway Car." On July 1 in Cincinnati, Swift sang "Call It What You Want." On July 22, she sang an acoustic version of "This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things." On Aug. 7, she sang "Dress," and on Aug. 8 she performed "King of My Heart." The next day, she performed "New Year's Day" as the surprise song.

Taylor Swift Eras Tour "Lover" Set List

Swift has played the "Lover" tracks "Cruel Summer," "Lover," "The Man," "The Archer," "Miss Americana & the Heartbreak Prince," and "You Need to Calm Down" at all of her shows.

She also played "Death by a Thousand Cuts" on April 1 in Arlington, TX. Then, on May 21, she treated Foxborough, MA, fans to a performance of "I Think He Knows." She dipped back into her "Lover" album on May 27 when she performed "False God" in East Rutherford, NJ. And Swift performed two "Lover" tracks during her time in Minneapolis. On June 23, she sang "Paper Rings," and on June 24, she sang "Daylight." On July 29, she sang the bonus track "All of the Girls You Loved Before." On Aug. 5, she once again performed "Death by a Thousand Cuts."

In Mexico City, Swift played three "Lover" tracks for the first time on the tour. On Aug. 24, she sang "I Forgot That You Existed." Two nights later on Aug. 26, she performed fan-favorite "Cornelia Street." And during the final Mexico City date on Aug. 27, she performed "Afterglow."

Taylor Swift Eras Tour "Folklore" Set List

From "Folklore," Swift has performed "Cardigan," "The Last Great American Dynasty," "My Tears Ricochet," "August," "Illicit Affairs," and "Betty" at all of her shows. She played "Invisible String" at her first three shows and switched to playing "The 1" on March 31 in Arlington, TX.

She also surprised fans with "Mirrorball" in Glendale, AZ, on March 17 and "This Is Me Trying" on March 18. On April 15, she played "Mad Woman" for fans in Tampa, FL. After taking a break from surprising fans with "Folklore" songs, Swift performed "The Lakes" in Chicago on June 2 and "Seven" on June 17. On Aug. 7 she sang "Exile," turning the duet into a solo.

Taylor Swift Eras Tour "Evermore" Set List

From "Evermore," Swift has been playing "Willow," "Champagne Problems," "'Tis the Damn Season," "Tolerate It," and "Marjorie." During the July 23 and 24 shows, Swift got rid of "'Tis the Damn Season" and replaced it with "No Body, No Crime," which she performed with the opener, Haim. It seems that change will remain in place during shows opened by the band.

She also played "Cowboy Like Me" on March 25 in Las Vegas, and on April 28, she performed "Coney Island" live for the first time in Atlanta. On May 12, she delighted fans in Philadelphia by playing "Gold Rush" in honor of the city's NFL team, the Eagles. In Cincinnati, she sang "Evermore" on June 30, and "Ivy" on July 1. Then on July 8, she sang "Dorothea." On July 28, she sang "Right Where You Left Me."

Swift's "Midnights" selections are "Lavender Haze," "Anti-Hero," "Midnight Rain," "Vigilante Sh*t," "Bejeweled," "Karma," and "Mastermind."

She also played "Snow on the Beach" on March 24 in Las Vegas, and on April 14, in Tampa, FL, she surprised fans with a performance of "The Great War" with The National's Aaron Dessner. The same night, she debuted "You're on Your Own, Kid." She then played "High Infidelity" on April 29 in Atlanta. On May 7, she treated Nashville fans to a rendition of "Would've, Could've, Should've."

During her May 20 stop in Foxborough, MA, Swift performed "Question...?" live for the first time. She then served up another live debut for New Jersey fans when she played "Maroon" during the May 26 show. On all three nights in New Jersey, she also brought out Ice Spice to perform "Karma (Remix)" together. The Eras Tour Movie Set List Changes

After the movie's world premiere on Oct. 11, early viewers reported that changes had been made to the set list for the film. According to The New York Times , performances of "The Archer," "Cardigan," "Wildest Dreams," and "No Body No Crime" were cut from the film. Fans also reported online that "'Tis the Damn Season" also didn't make the cut. "Long Live" takes place not during the "Speak Now" set, but during the credits of the film. The two surprise songs in the movie are "You're on You're Own, Kid" and "Our Song." Swift's Eras Tour film was filmed during some of the shows in Los Angeles in August.

S ince she announced her tour last year, Swifties have had endless theories about Taylor Swift's Eras Tour set list and which of her 100-plus songs she'll perform (and cut) on her tour. So what is Taylor Swift's Eras Tour set list? After months of guesses and anticipation, we have our answer.

The Eras Tour is Swift's sixth headlining concert tour following the Fearless Tour in 2009 and 2010; the Speak Now World Tour in 2011 and 2012; The Red Tour in 2013 and 2014; The 1989 World Tour in 2015; and the Reputation Stadium Tour in 2018. Swift was set to perform on her sixth concert tour, Lover Fest, in 2020, however the tour was postponed and eventually cancelled in February 2021 due to the current health crisis.

Although refunds have been available since we first postponed the Lover Fest shows, many of you hung onto your tickets and I too hung onto the idea that we could reschedule," she wrote on her social media at the time. "This is an unprecedented pandemic that has changed everyone's plans and no one knows what the touring landscape is going to look like in the near future. I'm so disappointed that I won't be able to see you in person as soon as I wanted to. I miss you terribly and can't wait til we can all safely be at shows together again."

Taylor Swift's Eras Tour set list also includes one mystery song from her discography that changes during each concert, which she performs acoustic between "Bad Blood" and "Tim McGraw." Swift explained in an Instagram post announcing The Eras Tour in November 2022 that the tour will be a "journey through the musical eras" of her past 10 albums: 2006's Taylor Swift ; 2008's Fearless ; 2010's Speak Now ; 2012's Red ; 2014's 1989 ; 2017's Reputation ; 2019's Lover ; 2020's Folklore and Evermore ; and 2022's Midnights . "I'm enchanted to announce my next tour: Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour, a journey through the musical eras of my career (past and present!) The first leg of the tour will be in stadiums across the US, with international dates to be announced as soon as we can! Feeling like the luckiest person alive because I get to take these brilliant artists out on tour with me: @paramore, @radvxz, @phoebebridgers, @girlinred, @whereismuna, @haimtheband, @gracieabrams, @gayle and @owennmusic. I can't WAIT to see your gorgeous faces out there. It's been a long time coming 🥰

In a TikTok comment in November 2022, Swift confirmed that "Delicate," her third single from Reputation , will be on the set list for The Eras Tour. The confirmation came after a TikTok user named Alex posted a video of her singing along to 2018 clip of Swift performing "Delicate" on her Reputation Tour. "Petition to bring this back for eras tour," the user wrote on the video. Swift responded in the comments with "Done."

Given that Swift hasn't had a tour to promote her most recent four albums- Lover , Folklore , Evermore and Midnights -fans expect The Eras Tour to lean more on these records, especially Midnights, which was released less than two weeks before Swift announced The Eras Tour. In an Instagram post in October 2022, Swift explained that Midnights consisted of 13 songs written in the "middle of the night." "We lie awake in love and in fear, in turmoil and in tears. We stare at walls and drink until they speak back. We twist in our self-made cages and pray that we aren't-right this minute-about to make some fateful life-altering mistake," she wrote. "This is a collection of music written in the middle of the night, a journey through terrors and sweet dreams. The floors we pace and the demons we face. For all of us who have tossed and turned and decided to keep the lanterns lit and go searching-hoping that just maybe, when the clock strikes twelve…we'll meet ourselves." She continued in a tweet at the time, " Midnights is a collage of intensity, highs and lows and ebbs and flows. Life can be dark, starry, cloudy, terrifying, electrifying, hot, cold, romantic or lonely. Just like Midnights."

At 3 a.m. ET on October 21, 2022, three hours after the release of Midnights , Swift announced that she released seven more songs as part of a deluxe version of the album  titled Midnights (3am Edition). " Surprise! I think of Midnights as a complete concept album, with those 13 songs forming a full picture of the intensities of that mystifying, mad hour. However! There were other songs we wrote on our journey to find that magic 13," she tweeted at the time. She accompanied the tweet with a post that explained that the time 3 a.m. means to her. "What keeps you up at night? It's a momentary glimmer of distraction," she wrote. "The tiniest notion of reminiscent thought that wanders off into wondering, the spark that lights a tinderbox of fixation. And now it is irreversible. The flame has caught. You're wide awake."
