GRAMMY® Award winning duo Twenty One Pilots have announced that they will be bringing The Clancy World Tour to The O2 on Tuesday 13 and Wednesday 14 May 2025.

Having amassed over 33 billion streams worldwide and over 3 million tickets sold across global headline tours, the Columbus, OH based duo of Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun have established themselves as one of the most successful bands of the 21st century and redefined the sound of a generation.  Co-produced by Joseph and Paul Meany, Clancy marks the final chapter in an ambitious multi-album narrative first introduced in the band's 2015 multi-Platinum breakthrough, Blurryface. 

Twenty One Pilots extended the ambitious concept laid out in Blurryface with their 2018 Platinum-certified album TRENCH.  Featuring the multi-Platinum and Platinum singles “Chlorine,” “My Blood” and the GRAMMY® Award-nominated “Jumpsuit,” the album graced spots on “Best of” year-end lists by Billboard, KERRANG!, Alternative Press, and Rock Sound—who placed it at #1.

The duo’s 2021 RIAA Gold certified epic Scaled And Icy debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Top “Rock Albums” and “Alternative Albums” charts while landing at No. 3 on the “Billboard 200,” marking the biggest opening week for a rock album in 2021. The record is highlighted by the #1 Alternative Radio hits “The Outside,” “Saturday,” and “Shy Away,” the latter of which ascended to #1 at the format in just three weeks, placing the duo in an elite group of acts with multiple songs to rise to #1 at the format in three weeks or less including: U2, R.E.M., The Cure, Linkin Park, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Foo Fighters.

On October 26, 2015, the tour was first announced with dates starting in Cincinnati going through New York City. [2] On May 9, 2016, more tour dates were announced that includes Europe, more North America, and Oceania dates. [3]

On August 10 and 11, 2016, Twenty One Pilots finished the first leg of the tour by playing at the legendary Madison Square Garden.

Twenty One Pilots Share New Song & Official Music Video 'Backslide'

The duo will be embarking on a world tour, kicking off August 15 in Denver, CO.

GRAMMY® Award winning duo Twenty One Pilots have shared “Backslide,” the third new song to be released from their highly anticipated forthcoming album, Clancy, which will arrive May 24th via Fueled By Ramen.

Available today on  all streaming platforms , “Backslide” is joined by an official music video directed by the band’s own Josh Dun.

Twenty One Pilots will celebrate the release of Clancy with The Clancy World Tour, their biggest headline tour ever kicking off with a two-night stand on August 15th and 16th at Denver, CO’s Ball Arena. Twenty One Pilots Album ‘Clancy’ Delayed While They Film Videos for Every Single Song

The era-ending Twenty One Pilots album Clancy is dragging out its grand finale just a little bit longer, but lead singer Tyler Joseph promises it’s for a good reason. The album, a conclusion to the duo’s multi-album arc that started with Blurryface in 2015, was originally schedule to arrive on May 17. It has now been delayed for one week while he completes music videos for each song with drummer Josh Dun and videographer Mark Eshleman.

“When I first told Josh and Mark and everyone on our team that I wanted to do a music video for every song on the album, Clancy , that’s coming up, I told him it’s because I love the songs and I believe in them enough to pretend to sing in front of a camera to each one,” Joseph shared in a video message. “And that’s what we’re going to do because that’s how I want to present this album.”

Twenty One Pilots announced Clancy in February, launching straight into the new era with its lead single and opening track “Overcompensating.” The song arrived with a music video directed by Eshleman, which he co-directed with Joseph. Following the track list in chronological order, the duo released “Next Semester” as the second single. Joseph and Eshleman edited the accompanying Andrew Donoho-directed music video.

Later this week, Twenty One Pilots will reveal the third song on the album, “Backslide,” with a music video directed by Dun.

Twenty One Pilots drummer Josh Dun makes his directorial debut in the just-released clip for the Columbus duo’s latest preview of their Clancy album, “Backslide.” The visual for the mid-tempo tune debuted on Thursday morning (April 25) and it finds singer Tyler Joseph tooling around town on his red and black BMX bike in what appears to be a Groundhog Day -type scenario.

Twenty One Pilots Are Going on a Massive World Tour & Dropped a New Song to Celebrate

Not much else happens, other than a Stranger Things -style segment where Joseph appears to be transported to an alternate, dark universe where he rides his bike in a black void amid swirling leaves as well as a quick stop a child’s lemonade stand where the seemingly possessed grade schooler chants lyrics back to the singer.

The bike trip ends with Joseph pulling up to Dun’s house as the drummer flips burgers on a grill, only to realize he’s out of buns and has to return to FPE to get another bag as the visual swallows its own tail and goes back to the beginning.
