BAD BUNNY Announces “World’s Hottest Tour” Dates For U.S. and Latin America

Proclaimed the most listened-to artist in the world for a second consecutive year by Spotify, Bad Bunny  has distinguished himself for his revolutionary moves that constantly impact the music industry. Today, the multi-award-winning artist adds a new milestone to his career, announcing his first stadium tour “Bad Bunny: World’s Hottest Tour” across the United States and Latin America. Promoted by Live Nation and CMN in the U.S., the tour kicks off on August 5th at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, FL, making stops in Miami, Chicago, New York and many more before wrapping at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on September 30th, then heading out to Latin America in October. Tickets for this stadium tour will go on pre-sale beginning Wednesday, January 26 at 12pm local time. Subsequently, they will go on sale to the general public beginning Friday, January 28 at 12pm local time on worldshottesttour.com .

Joining Bad Bunny as special guests on select dates in the U.S. will be GRAMMY® nominated DJ and Record Producer, Alesso and ten-time GRAMMY® nominated artist, Diplo . With his music and visuals, Alesso creates experiences that have made him one of the most celebrated live performers. Diplo is one of the most dynamic forces in music today with billions of streams on some of the world’s best dance recordings.

This announcement is a clear representation of Bad Bunny’s extraordinary  growth as a global superstar. Just after announcing his tour “El Último Tour Del Mundo 2022” in April 2021, which will begin February 9th and will tour 35 indoor arenas across North America, the artist broke the record at Ticketmaster for the most ticket sales for a tour on its first day of sales since 2018. Bad Bunny quickly sold out all 35 shows, moving more than 500,000 tickets. In addition, the artist performed his first stadium concerts in December 2021, breaking audience records with two performances at the Hiram Bithorn Stadium in Puerto Rico. There is no doubt that after such success, “Bad Bunny: World’s Hottest Tour” in stadiums with an all new production will continue to elevate the artist’s career to new transcendental levels.

Over the past year, Bad Bunny has released top hits that have earned him the title of #1 Latin Artist in the US by Billboard for a third consecutive year and was also named one of the top 10 most popular global superstars. As if that were not enough, he is also the highest-ranking Latin act on Billboard’s general all genre chart “Top Artists,” ranking at #10, and is the artist with the most hits to reach the Top 10 of the “Hot Latin Songs” chart since the charts inception.

Adding to his great accomplishments in 2021, the artist closed the year by surprising his fans with the premiere of the music video for “Te Deseo Lo Mejor,” which he made in collaboration with The Simpsons . The series is known for bringing some of the most popular celebrities in the world to life in cartoon form and this time Bad Bunny caused a great impact with his participation, reaffirming his leading spot in the music industry.

Bad Bunny 'World's Hottest Tour': Dates, venues, tickets and all you need to know

2022 is gearing up to be a very busy year for Bad Bunny. The Puerto Rican reggaeton singer will be on tour between March and April under his ' El Último Tour del Mundo ' album, and it appears he won't be done with that. In late January 2022, he also announced a second tour, to kick off in August 2022 named 'Bad Bunny: World’s Hottest Tour'.

Back in 2020, the singer made waves after becoming Playboy's second male cover star . It came just before he ended up scooping the Top Latin Artist award at the 2020 Billboard Music Awards. It finished off a pretty good year for the singer, even though there were r umors he would be retiring after 'El ultimo Tour del Mundo.' It was far from the case. He spent 2021 also scooping up several awards and performing live numerous times.

Billboard Music Awards 2021: Bad Bunny gives acceptance speech in Spanish, fans call singer 'hot and iconic'

It seems like fans could be in store for more in 2022. While the announcement wasn't as grand as it was for 'El Ultimo Tour Del Mundo', it's been met with the same excitement and thrill as fans can't wait to watch him live. Here's everything you need to know about the tour, and where to get tickets.

Announcement

The singer announced the tour via Instagram, in a video featuring girlfriend Gabriela Berlingeri and Spanish actor Mario Casas. "I was wondering … what if I announce my next tour?" he says after getting up from a tropical dinner setting with Berlingeri. The video has already racked up over 5 million likes since it was first uploaded.

Tour dates and venues

The 29-date tour will kick off on August 5 at Orlando, Florida, followed by stops at Atlanta, Miami, Boston, Chicago, Washington DC, and New York City. Texas will have three shows in Houston, San Antonio, and Dallas, followed by stops at Oakland and San Diego. The American leg wraps up with shows in Las Vegas, Pheonix, and then Los Angeles (September 30).

Bad Bunny will then perform all over Latin America including in the Dominican Republic, Chile, Argentina, Ecuador, Columbia, Honduras, and Costa Rica to name a few. The LatAm leg kicks off on October 10 at Santo Domingo and ends on December 9 in Mexico City. So no matter where in the region you are, chances are you'll get to see Bad Bunny live.

Tickets have not yet gone on sale but will be available from Friday, 28 January 2022. They are expected to sell out fast though, so you might want to bookmark the tour website and log in as soon as they go live. Not all shows will be available though, with some like those in Santo Domingo, Santiago (Chile), Quito (Ecuador), and Panama City all listed as "on sale soon". There's no word on prices either, so keep an eye on the website.

Livestreaming

So far, there's no word on whether you'll be able to stream the concerts live, as some musicians have done post Covid-19. Given that the pandemic is still rampaging across the world, it seems like Bad Bunny may at least provide a link, but we'll have to wait and see about that.

Mexico to Level Massive Fine Against Ticketmaster After Bad Bunny Ticket Disaster

By Nikki McCann Ramirez

Nikki McCann Ramirez

The beating heart of Mexico ’s entertainment industry lies at the Estadio Azteca, the largest stadium in Latin America. Hundreds of thousands of fans throughout its history have cheered on the giants of sports, music, and culture from its grandstands. Over the weekend, what should have been the triumphant end to Bad Bunny ’s World’s Hottest Tour was drowned out by the complaints of hundreds of distraught ticket holders who were left stranded outside its gates. In response Mexico’s PROFECO, the government body charged with consumer protection, has announced it will be fining Ticketmaster as much as 10 percent of Ticketmaster Mexico’s 2021 revenue.

PROFECO isn’t buying it. The organization put out a call for fans to report instances of wrongfully denied entry, announcing over the weekend that it had identified at least 1,600 instances of duplicated tickets and would be fining the company for “over selling” entries to the concert. Riccardo Sheffield, head of the agency, indicated in an interview with Mexico’s Radio Formula that the fine and penalties could amount to millions of pesos.

The 250 greatest guitarists of all time, the 500 greatest albums of all time, the 50 worst decisions in movie history, every awful thing trump has promised to do in a second term.

“Ticketmaster does not tolerate or participate in ticket reselling, which it has historically denounced by our company to the authorities and encouraged actions against it,” the company continued, adding that ticket resale is prohibited by law in Mexico. “Consequently, it repudiates the sale of tickets out of our official channels, where counterfeit tickets are frequently offered; and once again, we encourage fans to avoid buying through resale, given the obvious risks of being defrauded.”

The company added it was collaborating with the investigation by the Consumer Protection Federal Agency, and said that it took “necessary technological and logistical measures” for the concert on Saturday night. “This technical work was what guaranteed the efficient filling of the venue, and the functionality of the access control system,” it stated, and reiterated its apology and encouraged fans with legitimate tickets who were unable to enter the Dec. 9 show to request a full refund by emailing [email protected].

Live Nation and Ticketmaster Could Soon Face Federal Antitrust Lawsuit

Peso pluma celebrates mexican heritage music on coachella main stage, bad bunny's 'most wanted tour': here's where fans can still find last-minute tickets online.

The debacle revived long standing issues fans have had with the company, most of them stemming from its 2009 merger with LiveNation, which has given the companies a dominant share of the entertainment market within the United States and abroad. A decade and a half later, lawmakers can no longer look past the discontent of fans.

Responding to complaints from frustrated Swifties, Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tweeted a call for the company to be broken up. “Ticketmaster is a monopoly,” she wrote, “its merger with Live Nation should never have been approved, and they need to be reigned in.”

Ocasio-Cortez later told Rolling Stone that she and other lawmakers “already had concerns about Ticketmaster and monopoly power prior to 2010. But now you’ve got the nation’s largest ticket vendor with the nation’s largest promoter,” Ocasio-Cortez said. “Our concerns here can affect everyone. It could affect the artists from being able to conduct the shows the way they want, from promotions to the way that tickets are sold and structured. And it affects fans because they are being absolutely fleeced.”
