United Airlines flight credits: Everything you need to know
Editor's Note
Update: Some offers mentioned below are no longer available. View the current offers here .
Like many other carriers United Airlines has eliminated change fees on many flights and has been issuing credits for canceled trips since the height of the pandemic.
Following COVID-related cancellations, travelers have had to learn to navigate the world of travel credits in a serious for the very first time. And, whether or not it's the airline's intention, the intricacies of these various carrier-specific certificates can add yet another layer to the already complex process of booking a flight.
In most cases, if United cancels your flight, you're eligible for a refund to your original form of payment. Meanwhile, if you are the one making the choice not to travel, you'll most likely end up with what the airline calls a "future flight credit," or an Electronic Travel Certificate (ETC), which are two different instruments.
Both types of credits can be used to book new travel, but there are some important nuances to note. For instance, future flight credits are valid for less time. They also can't be redeemed for someone else unless you purchased your ticket on or before Aug. 31, 2021.
After reading this guide, you'll walk away with a better understanding of United's various flight credits, and how you can redeem them when booking a flight.

Accruing electronic travel certificates
Of United's two flight credit offerings, electronic travel certificates are the most useful since they're valid for longer (two years from the issue date) than future flight credits. They can also be combined with other ETCs and can be redeemed for travel for someone other than the person whose original trip was changed. In short, they're basically like money that you just happen to have to spend on United.
United customers who have experienced various service lapses are likely already familiar with ETCs. You'll receive one whenever the airline issues any form of monetary compensation — an extra-long delay, broken in-flight entertainment system, involuntary denial of boarding and so on.
Until recently, customers taking advantage of United's free-change policy had been able to request an ETC when voluntarily canceling a flight. The airline has since made that process a bit more complicated , but you may still be eligible for a certificate instead of a future travel credit. You'll need to speak with a reservations agent at (800) 864-8331 to make the request.
Redeeming electronic travel certificates
United now lists travel credits on the "My account" page, which you can access right here when logged into your MileagePlus account. Unfortunately, the airline's website only seems to track a portion of a customer's available ETCs — I keep mine organized in a spreadsheet, and I recommend you do the same.
ETCs can be redeemed for travel operated by partners, as long as at least one segment in the itinerary is operated by United and United Express.
If you've selected an eligible flight, you'll see an option to redeem your ETCs on the payments page. Certificates can be used to cover the cost of seat assignments when selected during the purchase process, too, which adds another layer of usefulness.
Related: Here's what to do if you need to cancel your trip
ETCs can be used multiple times — if the flight costs less than the value of the certificate, the balance will remain on your account. If you're purchasing a higher-cost flight, you can combine ETCs with a credit card payment to cover the difference.
After you successfully enter an ETC, including the year issued, 10-digit PIN code and the recipient's last name, you'll see the amount deducted from your flight total.
United recently added the ability to combine up to 10 ETCs on the airline's website. Alternatively, you can call the reservations line at (800) 864-8331 to have your certificates combined over the phone. Just note that when combining certificates over the phone, the expiration date may be updated to 24 months from the date the oldest ETC was issued, not 24 months from the date your ETCs are combined, so that's something to keep in mind.
Future flight credit
Unlike ETCs, future flight credits can be used to cover the cost of partner flights, even those without a United flight on the same itinerary, as long as those flights are available to book via United, either on United's own website or by calling reservations at (800) 864-8331.
These credits can normally only be used by the traveler whose name was on the original reservation. However, United is allowing credits issued for tickets purchased on or before Aug. 31, 2021, to be used to book travel for others.
To view your current future flight credits, log in to United's website then head to the "My trips" page right here . From there, click the "Future flight credit" tab and select the "Book with credit" option to book a new trip.
Unfortunately, I haven't had success redeeming future travel credits for revenue tickets online — you can always give reservations a call at (800) 864-8331 to rebook if you receive an error, such as the one I've repeatedly encountered below.
For a while, if you moved to a lower-cost flight, you lost any residual value. Luckily, United backtracked on this strict restriction in April 2021. You'll now get a new future flight credit when rebooking to a less expensive flight.
The same applies when using the future flight credit tool to rebook canceled award tickets. If your new flight requires fewer miles or a lower cash co-pay, you'll receive a refund for the balance once you reissue the ticket.
Your first instinct may be to cancel and redeposit the award, for added flexibility, but if you had been able to lock in a lower-rate award with your original booking, it may be advantageous to call in and request an agent's help in making the change.
If United canceled your original flight and the airline still offers service between the same cities on your new travel date, a reservations agent may be able to reissue your award in the originally ticketed cabin at the original rate.
Related: Guide to the United MileagePlus program
For example, since United was responsible for the cancellation, in my case, an agent may be able to honor my original 60,000-mile award rate between Newark (EWR) and Dublin (DUB), even if a similar award is priced higher on United's website today. There's never any guarantee, but it's certainly worth making the request.
Meanwhile, if you're looking to book a cash fare, you may be able to call United reservations at (800) 864-8331 to have your future flight credit canceled, with the balance issued in the form of an ETC, instead. That's certainly your best bet if you're looking to move to a lower-cost flight, or prefer to use your credit to book travel for someone else.
United TravelBank
United offers a third type of travel credit, via the airline's TravelBank . Customers purchase these credits directly — they're not issued following a customer service complaint or flight cancellation. It's also possible to boost your balance with the since-discontinued United TravelBank Card.
The information for the United TravelBank Card has been collected independently by The Points Guy. The card details on this page have not been reviewed or provided by the card issuer.
Generally, it doesn't make sense to tie up funds without some sort of additional return, but United does occasionally offer incentives for customers to add funds to their TravelBank, in the form of a percentage bonus or fixed mileage earnings, such as 5 miles for every dollar spent .
TravelBank funds can be redeemed for flights operated by United and United Express. Unfortunately, they cannot be combined with ETCs or future flight credits, and, since they offer the longest validity, I'd use up any other credits before tapping your TravelBank.

Expiration policy
While United miles no longer expire , all of the carrier's travel credits are subject to expiration as follows:
- Electronic Travel Certificates: 24 months from issue date*
- Future flight credit: 12 months from original ticket issue date**
- TravelBank: 5 years after last activity
*All electronic certificates due to expire prior to Dec. 31, 2022, will be extended until Dec. 31, 2022. **Future flight credits issued on or before Dec. 31, 2021, will be valid until Dec. 31, 2022
So keep these policies in mind if you have a few different types of credit since you'll want to use the ones expiring soonest first.
Bottom line
Navigating United's various travel credits and policies can seem daunting, and perhaps needlessly complex. Still, armed with this guide, you should have a much better idea of how to identify which credits you have at your disposal, and how to make the most of them when booking your next trip.

United to Allow Friends and Family to Share and Pool Miles to Book Flights
The airline will allow groups of up to five MileagePlus members to share and redeem their miles through one linked account.
Courtesy of United Airlines
United Airlines is now allowing travelers to pool their airline miles to purchase flights.
The new feature, United told Travel + Leisure , will allow groups of up to five MileagePlus members to share and redeem their miles through one linked account. Contributing miles to a shared account won’t impact an individual member’s status with the airline.
“We’re always looking for new ways to provide the most value to all of our loyalty members and are proud to be the first major U.S. airline to allow our members to pool their miles with their loved ones and friends,” Luc Bondar, the chief operating officer of MileagePlus, said in a statement shared with T+L. “MileagePlus miles pooling further reinforces United’s position as the leader in family and group travel and gives our members more flexibility to use their miles while making it easier to connect to the destinations and moments that matter most, with the people that matter most.”
To share miles, the initiating traveler or "pool leader" can create a pool for free and invite up to four other friends and family to join. Travelers can then add as many of their personal miles to the pool as they want, which can then be redeemed for award flights.
The pool leader must be at least 18 years old, but members of the pool can be any age.
United’s MileagePlus program allows travelers to earn Premier Qualifying Points (PQPs) by flying, using co-branded credit cards, or online shopping. Miles can be used to purchase flights, request upgrades, book hotels, pay for inflight Wi-Fi, and more.
United also allows travelers to swap unwanted gift cards for airline miles . Although the airline touted itself as the "first" major airline to pool miles, it's worth noting that JetBlue has been doing so since 2013.
Southwest offers a similar feature, allowing passengers to transfer eligible unused flight credits to friends or family. The airline has been doing so since 2022 with the introduction of its Wanna Get Away Plus fares .

United Airlines now allows travelers to pool their air miles with others

Customers who have racked up travel miles with United Airlines can now share those points with up to four other passengers under a new program the airlines announced Thursday.
Anyone 18 or older with a MileagePlus membership can link their online account and combine their miles with those accumulated by family or friends from previous flights, United said. As with other airline points programs, United passengers can use the miles they've gathered to help pay for future travel.
United said there's no limit to how many miles a group can pool together. The Chicago-based airline said it launched the program in anticipation of families seeking to fly more often as the summer draws near.
Allowing customers to pool miles "gives our members more flexibility to use their miles while making it easier to connect to the destinations and moments that matter most," Luc Bondar, chief operating officer of United's points program, said in a statement.
United isn't the first airline to allow passengers to pool miles. In 2018, New York-based JetBlue extended its existing points-pooling program to include friends and extended family.
Access to more air miles may come in handy for travelers as the price of flights have soared since the pandemic Additionally, most major airlines have increased their baggage fees this year. United in particular raised its fees $5, the company said last month .
Meanwhile, prices for air tickets sold in February were up about 6%, according to the Airline Reporting Corporation. Higher fuel costs and production delays at airplane manufacturer Boeing are partly to blame for higher fares, but airlines still expect high demand for travel in the coming months.
The miles pooling program comes at a time when United is facing questions about its safety record. One United jet landed with pieces of aluminum skin missing from its fuselage, and in another case, a jet lost a wheel during takeoff .
The incidents prompted CEO Scott Kirby this week to reassure passengers that flying United is safe. Aviation experts also said air travel is still one of the safest forms of public transportation .
"Unfortunately, in the past few weeks, our airline has experienced a number of incidents that are reminders of the importance of safety," Kirby said Monday. "While they are all unrelated, I want you to know that these incidents have our attention and have sharpened our focus."

8 Incidents in 2 Weeks: What’s Going on With United’s Planes?
While no one was injured, most of the mishaps required emergency landings or diversions. One safety expert said the incidents were not the result of “systemic problems.”
By Christine Chung
An engine fire sparked by plastic packaging wrap , a tire lost shortly after takeoff and a plane veering off the runway : These are among the eight incidents that have occurred over the past two weeks on flights operated by United Airlines. While no injuries — or worse — have been reported, the mishaps have generated headlines and stoked rising anxiety about aviation safety among federal officials and passengers alike.
All of the incidents happened on flights that took off from or were headed to airports in the United States, and five involved airplanes made by Boeing, a manufacturer already under intense scrutiny. In January, a door plug blew out of an Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 Max 9 jetliner in mid-flight, forcing the plane to make an emergency landing.
United, one of the world’s largest airlines, flies aircraft manufactured mainly by Boeing and Airbus. In an email United began sending to customers on Monday, the company’s chief executive, Scott Kirby, wrote that while the recent incidents were unrelated, they were “reminders of the importance of safety.”
“I want you to know that these incidents have our attention and have sharpened our focus,” he continued, adding that every case was being reviewed by the airline and would influence its safety training and procedures.
Here’s what travelers should know about the latest in airplane woes.
What exactly happened on or to the planes?
Most of the incidents reported in the last two weeks required emergency landings or diversions.
March 4: A Boeing 737-900 departing from George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston returned to the airport to make an emergency landing after one of the plane engines ingested and burned plastic wrap .
March 7: A Boeing 777 leaving San Francisco for Osaka, Japan, made an emergency landing at Los Angeles International Airport after the aircraft lost a tire .
March 8: A Boeing 737 Max 8 veered off the runway upon landing at George Bush Airport in Houston and tilted onto the grass .
Later that day, a flight leaving San Francisco for Mexico City was diverted to Los Angeles after the Airbus A320 experienced issues with its hydraulic system.
March 9: An Airbus A320 heading to Salt Lake City turned back to Chicago O’Hare International Airport after it reported maintenance issues .
March 11: A Boeing 777, flying from Sydney, Australia , to San Francisco, turned back after takeoff because the plane had a hydraulic leak.
March 14: An Airbus A320 that departed from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport had a hydraulic leak shortly before it landed in its scheduled destination, San Francisco.
Later that day, a Boeing 737-800 that took off from San Francisco landed at Rogue Valley International Medford Airport in Oregon missing an external panel .
Are the recent issues typical, or cause for concern?
The mishaps were not the result of “systemic problems,” said Robert Sumwalt, a former chairman of the National Transportation Safety Board who now heads a new aviation safety center at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
“Some of these issues are things that happen occasionally, but often don’t get reported in media,” Mr. Sumwalt said, though he emphasized that none were acceptable.
Kyra Dempsey, who writes about aviation accidents in a blog called Admiral Cloudberg, said that United’s recent issues were being “falsely conflated with Boeing’s troubles.”
“While it’s bad luck that United had so many incidents in such a short period, in general such incidents happen frequently around the world and they aren’t on the rise overall,” Ms. Dempsey said.
How has United responded?
Mr. Kirby’s 270-word message to United customers, including to members of the airline’s frequent flier program, started to be sent on Monday morning, said Josh Freed, a spokesman for United.
Starting in May, United pilots will have an extra day of in-person training, a change that was already planned before the incidents, Mr. Kirby wrote. The airline will also use a “centralized training curriculum for our new hire maintenance technicians” and will dedicate additional resources to the carrier’s supply chain.
What government agencies oversee these issues, and how are they responding?
The Federal Aviation Administration regulates the country’s aviation system and investigates safety incidents on U.S. airlines, while the N.T.S.B. investigates the causes of accidents, collisions and crashes involving planes flown by U.S. carriers, in addition to other accidents involving commercial and mass transit operators. Both agencies have discretion on what they investigate, Mr. Sumwalt said.
Currently, the N.T.S.B. is investigating the incident that occurred on March 8 in Houston, when the plane veered off the runway, an agency spokesperson said. The N.T.S.B. is also looking into a Feb. 10 Los Angeles-to-Newark flight , operated by United, that experienced severe turbulence, leading to injuries among more than a dozen passengers. (The Boeing 777 landed normally, but the flight was met by medical personnel.)
Safety experts said some issues don’t necessarily rise to the level of an investigation by either agency.
For example, partial loss of some of an airplane’s multiple hydraulics systems is common, said Michael McCormick, an assistant professor at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a former F.A.A. control tower operator. The F.A.A. may or may not get involved for this kind of issue, unless there’s a pattern, Mr. Sumwalt said.
The January episode involving the blown door plug aboard the Alaska Airlines jet is under investigation by the N.T.S.B. and the Justice Department.

Boeing: A Company in Turmoil
Boeing is weathering a particularly difficult period: two fatal crashes, a loose panel that blew out during a flight, quality concerns and production slowdowns..
‘Shortcuts Everywhere’: Quality issues have plagued Boeing even after two fatal crashes. Many employees blame the company’s focus on increasing production speed .
A Major Reshuffle : Boeing said that it was overhauling its leadership amid its most significant safety crisis in years, announcing sweeping changes that included the departure of its chief executive, Dave Calhoun , at the end of the year.
United’s Planes : An engine fire sparked by plastic packaging wrap, a tire lost shortly after takeoff and a plane veering off the runway: These are among several recent incidents that have occurred on Boeing flights operated by United Airlines.
Alaska Airlines Flight 1282: After a section of a plane blew out 10 minutes after it took off , there was increased scrutiny on the plane’s manufacturer: Boeing . The Justice Department has since launched a criminal investigation .
Quality Control Issues: An audit that was initiated by the Federal Aviation Administration after the Alaska Airlines incident found dozens of problems throughout Boeing’s manufacturing process and one of its key suppliers.
United Airlines makes a big change travelers have been asking for
O ver the last year, the issue of how airlines both accommodate and treat travelers with disabilities has been under the microscope.
Multiple travelers have been drawing attention to the fact that their wheelchairs have been broken or they have not been offered proper care when getting on and off the plane. In November 2023, a TikTok video of American Airlines ( AAL ) baggage handling staff tossing around a passenger's wheelchair as they unloaded the plane earned the ire of the internet and prompted a corporate response. In another incident, an Air Canada ( ACDVF ) passenger ended up without a means of transportation in a foreign country for days after airline workers broke his during travel.
Related: Disabled travelers keep asking airlines to stop breaking their wheelchairs
While many of the news to come out around this subject tends to be negative, United Airlines ( UAL ) just announced that it will take a step in a better direction with accessibility features that will make it easier for customers to search for flights best equipped to accommodate wheelchair users.
'More likely their experience will be a good one...'
Appearing as a dedicated filter on the airline's website and mobile app, the feature will allow users to search flights they plan to book based on both general accessibility options and whether the plane is large enough to accommodate their specific mobility device.
More Travel:
- A new travel term is taking over the internet (and reaching airlines and hotels)
- The 10 best airline stocks to buy now
- Airlines see a new kind of traveler at the front of the plane
The new feature also comes with a policy change that will allow customers who need to take a more expensive flight because the one they wanted to take couldn't accommodate their needs to request a refund of the difference.
"The more we know about a customer’s device, the more likely their experience will be a good one – from booking and check-in to the flight itself,” United's Executive Vice President and Chief Customer Officer Linda Jojo said in a statement. “These new tools and policies also set our employees up for success, especially those working on the ramp or at the gate."
'Ensure that all wheelchair users can book a flight'
According to United, it transports over 200,000 wheelchairs and other mobility devices per year. Representatives of organizations advocating for disability rights welcomed the move and said that it can help people who use wheelchairs plan ahead of their trips.
United’s initiative was developed with collaboration from the United Spinal Association advocating for the 5.5 million wheelchair users across the U.S. and mobility device maker Numotion. Both said that the people they represent or serve have repeatedly expressed that the biggest problems arise when accessibility options or the general airline experience are different from what is promised when they book the ticket or when they are unable to check what they can expect.
"United Spinal Association appreciates this strong first step toward improving the air travel experience for wheelchair users," UNS CEO and President Vincenzo Piscopo said in a statement. "We look forward to continuing our collaboration with United Airlines to ensure that all wheelchair users can book a flight to their next adventure, business meeting, or visit with family or friends on the flight they choose, trusting they will arrive safely with their equipment intact.”

Passengers injured after United Airlines flight from Israel diverted to NY over turbulence
A United Airlines flight from Israel made an emergency landing in New York on Friday after the plane experienced severe turbulence that required several passengers to seek medical attention.
The flight, that was over 10 hours from Tel Aviv to New Jersey, landed in New York Stewart International Airport after experiencing high winds that caused a disturbance on board, according to United Airlines.
“United Airlines Flight 85 landed safely at New York Stewart International Airport around 6:45 p.m. local time on Friday, March 29, after the crew reported a passenger medical emergency,” the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) told USA TODAY. “The Boeing 787 departed from Tel Aviv and was en route to Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey.”
United Airlines passengers: Can sort out flights for planes that accommodate their wheelchair
Several passengers impacted by severe turbulence
While there are several reports that between seven to 22 people were taken off the United Airlines flight because of injuries, the airline did not confirm the exact number of people that needed medical attention.
“One passenger deplaned due to a medical incident, and a few other customers were seen by medical personnel for possible motion sickness,” United Airlines told USA TODAY.
United Airlines Flight 85 was able to refuel and continue their journey to Newark Liberty International Airport .
The FAA has opened an investigation regarding the incident.
United Airlines Paris flight diverted to Denver over engine issue
Another United Airlines flight had to be diverted this week.
Flight 990, which was headed to Paris from San Francisco International Airport , was diverted to Denver on Thursday evening after the crew reported an issue with the engine, according to the statement United Airlines emailed to USA TODAY on Friday. After it landed safely, passengers deplaned normally, and the flight was canceled.
A representative from United said the airline was looking to provide flight options for the 273 passengers who were on board.

United flight returns to San Francisco gate over mechanical issues
The incident is just the latest maintenance problem for united flights, with at least eight cropping up in the past two weeks. no injuries have been reported..
A United flight headed from San Francisco to Japan had to return to the gate from the runway because of mechanical issues, delaying the fight by five hours and making it at least the eighth flight with maintenance issues for the airline in the past couple weeks.
As United flight 35 taxied to the runway on Monday afternoon, it received an indication of an engine start issue. The pilot announced they were experiencing engine problems and the plane returned to the gate, according to a statement sent to USA TODAY from United Airlines.
When USA TODAY asked what triggered the indication, United said it did not have any information to share past its statement.
The plane, a Boeing 777, departed for Osaka at 4:56 p.m., almost five hours past the time it was supposed to take off.
String of incidents "sharpen our focus."
The incident occurred the same day United CEO Scott Kirby sent customers a letter acknowledging recent issues the airline faced in the last few weeks.
"Our airline has experienced a number of incidents that are reminders of the importance of safety," wrote Kirby. "While they are all unrelated, I want you to know that these incidents have our attention and have sharpened our focus."
At least eight incidents have happened on flights operated by United in the past two weeks, all taking off from or headed to airports in the U.S. and five involving planes made by Boeing, according to the New York Times . The incidents have ranged from a tire being lost shortly after takeoff and a fire started by plastic wrap, though none have caused injuries.
Kirby's letter says that his team is reviewing details from each case to understand what is happening and using the information they find to "inform our safety training and procedures across all employee groups."
The letter states that it will be in addition to changes that were already planned, like...
- Adding an extra day of in-person training for all pilots starting in May
- Centralize training curriculum for newly hired maintenance technicians

Second drone in as many days shot down near Moscow as Russia and Ukraine exchange attacks on capitals
Russia and Ukraine sent drones targeting each other’s capital cities over the weekend in signs of renewed intensity for their aerial warfare .
Drones were shot down on both Saturday and Sunday in areas around Kyiv and Moscow . Air defence systems for both sides intercepted attacks and no casualties were reported.
Multiple drones that were heading for Moscow and Russia’s border areas on Sunday were downed by Russian air defence systems over the weekend, officials said.
Kyiv has promised to wage a major drone campaign against Russia this winter , as bad weather conditions make it difficult to conduct operations on the ground.
Russian air defence units in Moscow intercepted a drone targeting the Russian capital, mayor Sergei Sobhyanin said on Telegram.
He said defence units in the Elektrostal district in the capital’s east intercepted the drone. Falling debris resulting from the operation had caused no damage or casualties, the mayor said, citing preliminary information.
Russia’s defence ministry confirmed the drone strike on Sunday night, as is typical describing the Ukrainian military operation as a “terrorist attack”.
“On 19 November at 23.20 Moscow time, an attempt by the Kyiv regime to carry out a terrorist attack using an aircraft-type UAV [unmanned aerial vehicle] on targets in Moscow and the Moscow region was stopped,” it said on its official Telegram channel.
“Duty air defence systems intercepted an unmanned aerial vehicle over the territory of the Moscow region.”
A second drone targeting Moscow was also intercepted by Russia’s air defence systems at around 1am.
The UAV was destroyed over the territory of the Bogorodsky district in Moscow, it said.
This comes after Russian authorities on Saturday said they shot down a Ukrainian drone heading for the border region of Bryansk.
The defence ministry said on-duty air defence systems destroyed the drone over Bryansk. It did not mention any casualties or damage from the attack.
Russia has also begun targeting Kyiv again after a 52-day break in air raid sirens for the Ukrainian capital.
On Saturday, Ukrainian officials said all drones heading towards Kyiv were destroyed but some hit infrastructure facilities elsewhere in Ukraine.
A day later, a wave of Iranian-made Shahed drones from Russia targeted Kyiv overnight.
The drones targeted the Ukrainian capital and the Cherkasy and Poltava regions, according to a military statement. Ukrainian anti-aircraft systems shot down 15 of 20 drones targeting the areas.
Serhii Popko, the city’s military administration spokesperson, said the drones attacked Kyiv from different directions in waves that were “constantly changing vectors”.
Ukrainian officials had warned Russia would step up aerial assaults during the winter months.
Meanwhile, the British defence ministry said there were “few immediate prospects” for major change along the Ukrainian frontline as the war enters its second winter.
In a statement, it said intense fighting was concentrated near Kupiansk in the Kharkiv region, Avdiivka in Dontesk and on the left bank of the Dnipro river, where Ukrainian forces have established a bridgehead.

J.J. McCarthy second overall? + QB class red flags, Dak Prescott on the open market | Inside Coverage
Jason Fitz is joined by Senior NFL Reporters Charles Robinson and Jori Epstein to go behind the scenes on the latest rumors and news around the NFL. The trio start with takeaways from the NFL owner's meetings as Jori was on the ground in Orlando. The hosts discuss the fallout of the new kickoff rule (are rosters going to change because of it?), the two Christmas Day games and what the heck Jerry Jones was doodling in his notebook. Next, it's time to pull out the crystal ball as the hosts attempt to look into the future for some key quarterbacks, starting with Michigan QB J.J. McCarthy. McCarthy's draft stock has been skyrocketing lately as some rumors emerged that he could go as high as second overall. Charles gives his thoughts and what he's hearing from GMs around the league before moving onto Brock Purdy and whether San Francisco will be willing to pay him when the time comes. Charles dives deeper into the 2024 quarterback class and why every prospect has a massive red flag, and Jori gives us the latest on the Dak Prescott contract negotiations, which seem to be heading in the wrong direction. All signs are pointing towards Dak hitting free agency next offseason. Finally, Fitz wraps things up by asking about Deion Sanders' comments about choosing where his sons get drafted and whether or not player empowerment could be ascending to a new level with the emergence of NIL.
After Jayden Daniels and Drake Maye’s pro days, the Commanders may hold the keys to the NFL Draft
The No. 1 pick seems to be a foregone conclusion, which means all eyes are on the Commanders and their decision that likely boils down to two QBs.
