waited 30 minutes in line only to find out that no staff were certified to complete my annual returns. then wanted to speak to a travel agent only to find out I needed to "book" an appointment. AMA service has declined over the years. why do I bother paying an annual fee, I now ask myself.

After being a member for 30 plus years I am completely embressed by the AMA's obstructionist customer service. After 8 months of messing around with the AMA to do a basic licence renewal, I went to another Registry and had it done in 11 minutes. There is no explainition for this complete level of piss poor service, refusing to provide information on the steps that allegedly needed to be completed, and resistance to do basic tasks allegedly provided by the AMA. I am so angry and disappointed, I literally do not know what to do. Shame on you. This is why businesses fail.

They wouldn't tow me out of a private yard where my car was parked and not turning on. I took my business elsewhere with better services, 30% cheaper and no bs. Do your research and ditch these guys

I came in to update my address friday for my liscence and registration, I was the last customer of the day and it was a little bit of a rushed interaction. No big deal. However Monday morning when I was going to go to parking authority to get a pass I realized I did not have a need registration like I asked. I assumed they just forgot to do that part since I was the last one of the day and had they just forgotten to give it to me they could have called me as they have my number. So I went to a registry by my house and did an update there and was given a new registration. This morning I have now been mailed the registration the AMA employee neglected to give me. And no one is allowing me to get a refund for one of the registrations despite it being their fault. Very disappointed, as a new AMA member I'm definitely not impressed.

In my experience, the wait times here are always fairly short and the people are always helpful. Best of all, when I called ahead to say I would be late for an appt to get Tenants Insurance, Will not only waited up for me, he even had a hot cup of coffee waiting for me when I arrived! I will definitely continue coming to this AMA branch in the future.

AMA! I have been thinking of getting this membership, but just didnt get a chance. Recently, our car was in a road accident and as per the AMA site which says that they help even if it's your friends car, they help, I requested a friend with membership to help me get the car to the collision centre. They did not do it! She had to gift me a membership to get this job done. I called AMA then with the new membership # to get the car towed, but they still did not as they said it was my membership and I was not driving the car and my husband was, he needs to have a membership! Well, I got him as joint member on the membership by paying $54.60! I was told at the time that I will have 5 towings on it for the year. The car was delivered to the collision centre and since their estimate was too high, I decided to move to another body shop using my 2nd tow with AMA. Guess what? They charged me another $122.2 saying that it was the same car that they just towed a week ago! Which means that I need to have 5 cars to use the 5 towings that I receive with the membership! My friend paid for my membership, I paid $54.6 for my husbands joint membership and the 2nd towing is costing me $122.5. The total between my friend and myself has so far been about $250 to get the car where it needs to be. Is it really worth my while to have this membership? I could have paid to any towing company that amount and got it done without a hassle! I will not give any starts to AMA roadside assistance as it has been only stress and money at every step of the way for me. I do not recommend this membership to anyone. By the way the AMA site home page still says that you can get a friends car towed, which is BIG LIE. They did not do it without having her pay for my membership. I had to rate 1 star to post this, but I do do not give it any star!

Terrible Service Why pay for a membership when you need them they are not available for 24 hours or more....This is not right, they know the kind of weather we have and when they are going to be busy - if they can't handle the calls...outsource or get help..Call in the summer, how many people need help in the warm weather, cold and snowy and lots of trouble out there...where is AMA, collecting my membership fees, alright but when you need them......GOOD LUCK!!! Asked for a tow today 24 hours or more....I pay my membership...guess what..called an independent company and got a tow in less than 2 hours and guess what....only $63.00..Why bother with AMA membership I ask????? Also when you get your registration done they charge you an extra $9.00 because they can. Go to a registry and guess what no extra $9.00 charge. Yes I will definitely be cancelling my membership and telling everyone I can about what a complete rip off this is. Been a member for years and need them once...good luck..Yes it is cold, Yes the roads are bad - we live in Calgary...what do you expect. Weather changes....get more people on the road to help service members. We all pay our membership dues....where are they going??? Apparently not to help members in need. They are aware of the calls they are going to receive so get HELP....OUT SOURCE IF NEED BE BUT KEEP YOU MEMBERS HAPPY!!!
