Bad Bunny Announces World's Hottest Tour For Summer 2022

With special guests Alesso and Diplo.

It’s shaping up to be a major year for Bad Bunny. After selling out his first headlining tour since 2020, El Último Tour Del Mundo, in record time — the Puerto Rican superstar is now extending his trek around the world by announcing a new 29-date stadium tour set to take place during the summer of 2022 in the U.S. and Latin America.

World’s Hottest Tour, Bad Bunny’s first-ever stadium-sized tour, will kick off just four months after he wraps up El Último Tour Del Mundo, which is set to begin at the beginning of Feb.

Come Aug. 5, Bad Bunny will embark on the U.S. leg of World’s Hottest Tour with performances set at major arenas across the U.S., including Atlanta’s Truist Park, Boston’s Fenway Park, Chicago’s Soldier Field, New York City’s Yankee Stadium, and Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium. And there’s more: Bad Bunny is also inviting DJs Alesso and Diplo to open select dates on the road.

The Latin America leg of the tour will commence shortly after in October, with shows in Dominican Republic, Chile, Argentina, Ecuador, Colombia, and more, before ending with two shows in Mexico.

Announcing the new shows via Instagram Reels , Bad Bunny also revealed that a new album is on the way: “While I work on my new album, you can buy tickets for my next tour,” he said. The album will be his first major release since 2020’s El Último Tour Del Mundo .

Tickets On Sale Friday, January 28 12pm Local Time On Worldshottesttour.com

Proclaimed the most listened-to artist in the world for a second consecutive year by Spotify, Bad Bunny has distinguished himself for his revolutionary moves that constantly impact the music industry. Today, the multi-award-winning artist adds a new milestone to his career, announcing his first stadium tour “Bad Bunny: World’s Hottest Tour” across the United States and Latin America. Promoted by Live Nation and CMN in the U.S., the tour kicks off on August 5th at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, FL, making stops in Miami, Chicago, New York and many more before wrapping at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on September 30th, then heading out to Latin America in October. Tickets for this stadium tour will go on pre-sale beginning Wednesday, January 26 at 12pm local time. Subsequently, they will go on sale to the general public beginning Friday, January 28 at 12pm local time on worldshottesttour.com .

Joining Bad Bunny as special guests on select dates in the U.S. will be GRAMMY® nominated DJ and Record Producer, Alesso and ten-time GRAMMY® nominated artist, Diplo . With his music and visuals, Alesso creates experiences that have made him one of the most celebrated live performers. Diplo is one of the most dynamic forces in music today with billions of streams on some of the world’s best dance recordings.

This announcement is a clear representation of Bad Bunny’s extraordinary  growth as a global superstar. Just after announcing his tour “El Último Tour Del Mundo 2022” in April 2021, which will begin February 9th and will tour 35 indoor arenas across North America, the artist broke the record at Ticketmaster for the most ticket sales for a tour on its first day of sales since 2018. Bad Bunny quickly sold out all 35 shows, moving more than 500,000 tickets. In addition, the artist performed his first stadium concerts in December 2021, breaking audience records with two performances at the Hiram Bithorn Stadium in Puerto Rico. There is no doubt that after such success, “Bad Bunny: World’s Hottest Tour” in stadiums with an all new production will continue to elevate the artist’s career to new transcendental levels.

Over the past year, Bad Bunny has released top hits that have earned him the title of #1 Latin Artist in the US by Billboard for a third consecutive year and was also named one of the top 10 most popular global superstars. As if that were not enough, he is also the highest-ranking Latin act on Billboard’s general all genre chart “Top Artists,” ranking at #10, and is the artist with the most hits to reach the Top 10 of the “Hot Latin Songs” chart since the charts inception.

Adding to his great accomplishments in 2021, the artist closed the year by surprising his fans with the premiere of the music video for “Te Deseo Lo Mejor,” which he made in collaboration with The Simpsons . The series is known for bringing some of the most popular celebrities in the world to life in cartoon form and this time Bad Bunny caused a great impact with his participation, reaffirming his leading spot in the music industry.

  • Matt Levy | NJ Advance Media for NJ.com

For some artists, a single tour in a year is more than enough.

That wasn’t enough for Bad Bunny , though.

Spotify’s most streamed artist of 2020 and 2021 is launching his “World’s Hottest Tour” starting this August. Ironically, it will follow his massive “El Último Tour Del Mundo,” which translates to “The Last Tour of the World.”

What separates the newly announced international tour from the former is that Bad Bunny will only be playing stadium concerts during this one.

And that includes Yankee Stadium on Aug. 27 .

Prior to that, on Bad Bunny’s original 2022 tour, the Grammy Award-winning artist will be at Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center on March 16 and Newark’s Prudential Center on March 18 .

If you’re hoping to see Bad Bunny on either one of his massive tours, here’s everything you need to know.

Where can I buy tickets to see Bad Bunny?

Tickets for Bad Bunny’s new “World’s Hottest Tour” go on sale at Ticketmaster to the general public Friday, Jan. 28 at 12 p.m. local time for all shows.

If you don’t want to wait until the tickets go on sale to the general public, you can find seats right now on sites like Vivid Seats , StubHub or MegaSeats . It’s common for speculative tickets to show up on the secondary market first, but be aware that prices may be more expensive than when they go on sale to the general public

Tickets for “El Último Tour Del Mundo” are available on all major ticketing platforms such as StubHub , Vivid Seats , Ticketmaster , SeatGeek and MegaSeats .

Where is Bad Bunny going on his tours?

Bad Bunny currently has a whopping 50 shows lined up as part of his two 2022 tours .

A complete calendar with all international dates can be found here .

Latin-pop superstar Bad Bunny has announced an expansive North American tour – El Último Tour del Mundo 2022 –  named for his 2020 album of the same name.

The tour kicks off in Denver on February 9 and wraps up on April 1 in Miami, with tickets going on sale on April 16 at 12 p.m. EST. The Puerto Rican star also released a video accompanying the announcement.

The announcement video features WWE star Triple H, who offered some very kind words after Bad Bunny’s performance in the ring at WrestleMania 37 last night.

Bad Bunny earned widespread praise for his in-ring skills at WrestleMania, where he hit a Canadian Destroyer (which he called the Bunny Destroyer). That now-signature move is available to watch here.

El Último Tour del Mundo topped off a wildly successful three-album run Bad Bunny offered last year. It followed YHLQMDLG and Las Que No Iban a Salir . El Último Tour del Mundo was the first Spanish-language No.1 record in the chart’s history. On top of that, Bad Bunny won the Grammy Award for Best Latin Pop or Urban Album this year for YHLQMDLG .

Bad Bunny Announces 2022 US Stadium Tour

"Bad Bunny: World's Hottest Tour" includes show at some of the country's biggest venues

Bad Bunny Announces 2022 US Stadium Tour

Bad Bunny has announced a massive US stadium tour that’ll take place in Summer 2022.

The “Bad Bunny: World’s Hottest Tour” includes shows at some of the biggest venues in the US, including Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium, Chicago’s Soldier Field, New York’s Yankee Stadium, Dallas’ AT&T Stadium, and Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium. Joining him on tour will be Alesso and Diplo, who’ll take turns serving as support on select dates.

Update – January 31st: Due to “overwhelming demand” for tickets, the Puerto Rican rapper and singer has announced additional stadium shows in six cities : Miami, New York, Houston, San Diego, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles.

A ticket pre-sale for the tour begins Wednesday, January 26th at 12:00 p.m. local time, with a public on-sale following on January 28th at 12:00 p.m. local time via Ticketmaster . Update: A pre-sale for the six new stadium shows in Miami, New York, Houston, San Diego, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles will be available starting Wednesday, February 2nd at 12:00 p.m. local time via Ticketmaster . A public on-sale will follow on Friday, February 4th at 12:00 p.m.

Bad Bunny’s “World Hottest Tour” also includes a leg of South American dates taking place between October and December.

The “World Hottest Tour” follows Bad Bunny’s previously announced “El Último Tour Del Mundo,” which kicks off in the US starting in mid-February. While two expansive tours taking place in such close proximity would seem like a fool’s errand for many artists, the demand is certainly there for Bad Bunny. The Puerto Rican rapper and singer recently claimed the title as Spotify’s most streamed artists for the second year running after amassing more than nine billion streams globally.

Bad Bunny Has It All—And That’s the Problem

The Puerto Rican superstar is known for his anthems of community. His latest tour is about his own isolation.

A black-and-white photo of Bad Bunny standing alone onstage in a suit and backward cap

Near the end of Bad Bunny’s 2022 World’s Hottest Tour in Las Vegas, all the lights went out. The Puerto Rican singer and rapper filled the darkness before the song “ El Apagón ” with a six-minute speech in Spanish about what makes his home island bien cabrón —“really fucking awesome.” He highlighted not only Puerto Rico’s beauty but also its resilience in the face of immense challenges: corrupt governance, poor electricity and water access, a hurricane only five years after the devastation of Hurricane María . Although “it is always becoming harder for Puerto Ricans to live on the island,” he said, their strong sense of kinship saves them: “The leaders are the people, who always help one another.”

His speech soon turned into a lament twinged with guilt. “Sometimes I see comments that are like, ‘Where is Bad Bunny?’” he told the stadium. “I’m here, in Las Vegas. This is my job.” The price of fame, he went on to suggest, was a type of exile—work that he cherished but that kept him from the island and people he loved.

Community has long been central to Bad Bunny’s work. The Latin-trap superstar, who has set Spotify streaming records and repeatedly topped the Billboard 200 chart, seldom introduces himself without mentioning where he comes from (accepting the 2022 Video Music Awards Artist of the Year trophy, he declared, “I’m Benito Antonio Martínez, from Puerto Rico to the world!”). He famously resists singing or giving interviews in English. Many of his songs contribute to a long Caribbean musical tradition of rebellion against colonialism . Meanwhile, others form an archive of place; the mountains, rivers, and beaches of Puerto Rico seep into numerous perreo anthems. “This is my beach / This is my sun / This is my land / This is me,” ends the house track “El Apagón,” signaling an understanding of Caribbean people as inextricable from the islands themselves. Bad Bunny’s latest tour and album, however, mark a spiritual departure for the artist, finding him retreating inward to wrestle with cynicism and isolation at the top of the world.

Read: SNL didn’t need subtitles

The ongoing Most Wanted Tour, which began in late February, is less of a communal celebration and more of a solo rodeo. I don’t mean this only metaphorically: Midway through the Barclays Center concert I attended this month in Brooklyn, Bad Bunny appeared onstage atop a real, live horse. In the lead-up to this entrance, the stadium darkened as a three-minute video played on-screen, revealing a desert landscape of desolate sepia tones. “They tell me Jesus was in the desert for 40 days and 40 nights,” the singer growled in Spanish. “I’ve lost count of the years I’ve spent between sand and cactus.” In the video, a masked Bad Bunny, encased in a buckskin jacket, rode a slow-trotting horse into an apocalyptic sunset. “I remain like this,” Bad Bunny said. “Alone.” (At this point, my friend’s 78-year-old Puerto Rican grandmother, whom I attended the concert with, cried out in concern: “We’re here for you, baby!”)

This new lonely-cowboy persona is in line with the artist’s most recent album, Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana , the 22-song trap opera behind this tour. In it, Bad Bunny explores what it means to be the caballo ganadór , or winning horse—at least that’s what he calls himself in the opening track, “Nadie Sabe,” an orchestral rap that samples trampling hooves. In 2022, he was, by several measures, the top artist in the world. Yet he doesn’t seem convinced that the hype is worth the stress. “Everyone wants to be No. 1,” he raps. “If you want it I’ll give it to you, motherfucker.” What fun is being No. 1 when no one can share it with you?

From the get-go, the new tour has approached listeners from a more standoffish posture. “If you’re not a real fan, don’t come,” read the official ads . Instead of energetic house warming up the audience as happened in 2022, this year’s show opened with the longing strings of a classical orchestra. (My friend’s grandmother: “They’re putting me to sleep!”) The ensemble’s rendition of Charles Aznavour’s French ballad “Hier Encore”—which Bad Bunny’s “Monaco” samples—set an early tone for the evening of nostalgia, as if happier days existed largely in the past.

Visually, the Most Wanted Tour was also decidedly placeless, leaning into minimalism and abstraction. At the World’s Hottest Tour show I attended in Las Vegas, the vibe was “beach party”: Bad Bunny appeared in an array of joyful pastels. Dancers in bikinis and denim shorts freestyled under string lights. Visuals showed cartoon dolphins swimming toward island oases. I remember feeling shocked when I left the stadium and stepped into the Mojave Desert’s hot and twisting air. The concert had felt like a portal home to the Dominican Republic, ready to rival JetBlue. I could almost feel the cool shine of the sea melting over my feet.

Yet this time around, tropical maximalism was replaced by nondescript, arid visuals and monochrome Yeezy-style fashions. The dancers, dressed in all-black hoodies or chaps, appeared sparingly. Most often, Bad Bunny was onstage by himself, hopping from one end to another while performing trap bops in burgundy cowboy gear.

For much of the performance, he also sported a Spider-Man-style mask or a studded nun’s habit (à la the Virgin Mary )—a tongue-in-cheek choice for a singer frequently criticized for his lewd lyrics. His hidden face added a layer of distance between him and the audience, seemingly signaling how much access to him we should really get to have. Bad Bunny has rebuked the parasocial aspects of fame, including people’s entitlement to his personal space. Throughout the Nadie Sabe album, he makes several references to a much-reported instance in which, during a vacation in the Dominican Republic, he threw a fan’s phone into some bushes after she photographed him without his consent.

Yet despite the lingering specter of celebrity’s dark side, the show’s final act still managed to conjure a wider sense of connection within the audience. Bad Bunny ended with a slew of his reggaeton hits, old and new, and segued into his song “Tití Me Preguntó” with a roll call of places— asking where, among other groups, his Ecuadorians, Mexicans, Dominicans, and Puerto Ricans were at. With each mention, the stadium erupted into ecstatic screams of recognition. Flags rippled; decibels flared. The rare roar of a crowd of Dominicans, all in one place in the U.S., immediately brought tears to my eyes. Once the song started, we screamed back his lyrics about bringing a roster of girlfriends to his VIP table. We in the audience were there, together. Meanwhile, Bad Bunny looped the stage, alone again.

Review: Bad Bunny the bandido lights up the Wells Fargo Center on his ‘Most Wanted Tour’

The Puerto Rican superstar's first Philadelphia show since he headlined Made in America in 2022 was a celebration of Latino pride.

Bad Bunny performs during his Most Wanted Tour stop at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia on Friday.

Bad Bunny came to South Philly on Friday night for a sold-out show at the Wells Fargo Center.

It was the first time in Philadelphia for the Puerto Rican rapper, singer and influential cultural force — who was born Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio — since he headlined the Made in America festival in 2022.

The stop on his Most Wanted Tour was in support of his 2023 album Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana — which translates from Spanish to English as Nobody Knows What Is Going to Happen Tomorrow — and a thumping, infectious celebration of Latino pride.

The Inquirer’s Rosa Cartagena and Dan DeLuca went to the show. Here’s their review.

Dan DeLuca: Good morning after Bad Bunny, Rosa. We saw Bad Bunny take the stage following an overture by the Philharmonic Orchestra Project (led by Grammy-winning conductor Carlitos Lopez), ride a horse, and entertain fans while looking down on them from a floating skybridge. How’d you like it? What were the highlights for you?

Rosa Cartagena: I am still so pumped. Sore, but energized. Bad Bunny is one of the artists who has defined my 20s. He’s delivered so much incredible music that has catapulted reggaeton, Latin trap, and Spanish-language music overall to a completely new level — all while simultaneously shining a spotlight on Puerto Rico’s political problems and resilience. My family and I love Bad Bunny and we have so much fun listening to him together, so what I was really excited to see was how the crowd reflected that, too: There were so many intergenerational families (including at least one abuela!) and it warmed my heart.

Inside the arena, the biggest highlight for me was his Latin trap section. Nadie Sabe was a great album, but I desperately wanted to hear such tracks as “Tú No Metes Cabra,” “Chambea,” and “Soy Peor.” I wish he performed more than snippets but I’ll take what I can get. He was his flirty, funny self — blowing kisses, waving, and winking at the crowd. The floating stage brought him closer to the fans at all seating levels and he had me tearing up at one moment when the lights went on and showed so many Puerto Rican flags, and he simply, quietly, soaked it all in from his perch.

Despite being a fan since the mix-tape days, I hadn’t seen him live before, but you’ve seen him a few times in Philly, right? How did this show compare?

D.D.: I’ve only seen him once before, actually. When he headlined Made in America in 2022, in the closing night show that, if the festival, which is canceled again this year, never comes back will go down as the last-ever MIA performance.

I enjoyed this more. What was cool about that MIA show was how he transformed the grounds into a Latinx dance party, making Jay-Z’s festival over in his own image and language. This was a really smartly staged arena show with top-shelf production — though the relationship between Bad Bunny and the audience is still what makes it special.

He did a lot of standing there and soaking in the adulation — it was a bit Evita -ish when he was on the floating stage, looking down on his people from the balcony. But who can blame him? The passion and appreciation for the ways he’s represented Latino culture and refused to compromise or cross over by rapping or singing in English is real. His audience loves him for it, as well they should.

Yeah, the Latin trap section was impressive. I could feel the bass coming up through the soles of my shoes.

Let’s talk about the staging. The orchestral introduction was classy, and created an Ennio Morricone Spaghetti Western vibe, fitting with the outlaw imagery of Nadie Sabe . A friend of mine on Facebook who’s also a non-Spanish speaker compared it to watching an Italian opera. You can be swept up by the emotion of the music, and the contours of the story reveal themselves.

R.C.: The orchestra definitely brought a level of class to the crowd ready for perreo — and that kind of genre-mashing surprise is part of why people love his sound. I see the bandido theme here almost in between Beyoncé's Cowboy Carter (which came out five months after Nadie Sabe ) and Taylor Swift ’s brand-new The Tortured Poets Department , because it’s both bad boy and sad boy. (And unlike Beyoncé's country, he leans hard into Tex-Mex vaquero culture with a bolo tie and his mariachi-inspired outfit.)

But the resonance isn’t just contemporary. He also spotlights Puerto Rican folkloric music, like bringing plena performers to last year’s Grammys. Before he arrived onstage, the orchestra played an instrumental rendition of the iconic bolero by La Lupe, “Qué Te Pedi,” a beloved song that cuts across generations, proving what I heard from so many fans last night: He hasn’t forgotten his roots. It was also refreshing to hear his intimate, pared-down acoustic section, when he sat on the piano and crooned while holding a horse plushie.

D.D.: The piano section was sweet. Sitting on it, sort of like Michelle Pfeiffer in The Fabulous Baker Boys . It was impressive that he could pull off a cocktail lounge vibe in a massive arena. And before “Qué Te Pedi,” the intro music was Billie Holiday’s “I’ll Look Around.” Mood music of the highest order.

The filmed interlude of a masked man riding across the desert was like Clint Eastwood in a Sergeo Leone movie crossed with Max von Sydow in The Seventh Seal . But when Bad Bunny actually rode in on a horse it was anticlimactic, a brief video screen talking point. And I was glad it was short, though: I was worried the poor horse was going to freak out in a room with 20,000 people!

The setup with two stages, plus the floating sky bridge — that worked really well. And the lights were spectacular. It seemed almost everybody was wearing the light-up Bad Bunny boot necklaces synced to turn the room green or red, in rhythm with the music. The only show I’ve seen that used that trick so well was the Weeknd at the Linc a couple of summers ago.

R.C.: Breathtaking, for sure. The orb lights were versatile and dynamic, at one point making a bridge (like our own Benjamin Franklin). He threw down. The only thing Philly fans might have missed was “Acho PR,” the track where he shouts out Bryce Harper and the Phillies .

Live Music Logs Record-Setting 2022 as Bad Bunny and Elton John Lead With Booming Stadium Tours

The sector grossed $6.28 billion this year, per Pollstar.

Elton John Concert Dodger Stadium - Disney Plus

As the year draws to a close, the live music industry can take comfort in having achieved record-setting revenues for 2022, thanks largely to the post-pandemic boost of new festivals, global stadium tours and astronomical box office receipts, correlating to sky-high ticket prices.

Popular on Variety

Among the artists touring stadiums in 2022: the Weeknd, Coldplay, Daddy Yankee, Billy Joel, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Def Leppard & Mötley Crüe, Dua Lipa, Zac Brown, Eagles, Daddy Yankee, Iron Maiden, Blackpink, Morgan Wallen, the Lumineers, Dead & Co., Garth Brooks, Lady Gaga and countless others.

John’s 65-date “ Farewell Yellow Brick Road ” sits at No. 2 after first hitting the road more than four years ago and will continue raking in the gold as it finally wraps next summer. Because of its length and popularity, its likely the John tour will pit the English icon against another U.K. favorite — Ed Sheeran , who currently claims the highest gross ever for a single tour with his “Divide” trek that reached $776 million when it closed in 2019.

Sheeran once again hit the road this year in support of his previous records on the “Mathematics” tour, a European stadium trek, that earned $251 million gross this year and enters Pollstar’s chart at No. 3. Sheeran is also the only concert performer to hit the 3 million mark in sold tickets with 3,047,694 sold over 63 shows in 28 venues throughout the year for a massive average of 48,376 tickets sold per show.

Harry Styles’ “ Love on Tour ” sits at No. 4 in the Top 100 based on its box office glory that kicked off in September of last year with a string of North American arena dates. Stadiums followed in 2022 with the singer’s rescheduled 23-show European run that kicked off in June. He performed in 15 countries through the end of July, selling more than 638,000 tickets.

And who could forget the singer’s mini residencies — most notably, the historic string of 15 nights at New York’s Madison Square Garden. That run logged a total of 276,852 tickets sold and rang in a $63 million gross – the highest gross of the year for a single venue worldwide, according to Pollstar. Styles had another 12-night run at Los Angeles’ Kia Forum where he left with $38 million in sales from over 200,000 tickets sold.

The historic feats continue as this becomes the first year that each tour in the top 10 grossed over $100 million and the top five each took in more than $200 million — with inflation playing a factor. Rise in ticket prices placed the Top 100 Worldwide ticket sales in 2022 at 59.2 million, surpassing 2019’s total of 57.7 million tickets. On Pollstar’s North American Top 200 chart, ticket prices increased 19% from $87.19 in 2019 to cross the three-figure barrier of $103.71 in 2022.

And as 2022 comes to a close, it’s clear 2023 will ring in another big year for the live music industry. Taylor Swift’s “Eras Tour” has already managed to break the internet with an unprecedented, and drama-filled, record turnout for presales on Ticketmaster, and hints of a possible stadium/arena trek from Beyoncé has fans ready to drop thousands for a ticket. Not to mention the several confirmed tours of stars who have already made 2022 a standout year like Ed Sheeran, Elton John, Harry Styles, Dead & Co. (the band’s final trek), the Weeknd, Def Leppard/Mötley Crüe, Billy Joel and Stevie Nicks, among others.

Bad Bunny arrived on horseback and went hard with a full orchestra in wild Phoenix concert

bad bunny tours 2022

In 2022, Bad Bunny drew an estimated crowd of more than 43,000 to a packed Chase Field with the promise of delivering the World’s Hottest Tour.

Not quite two years later, the Puerto Rican superstar returned to downtown Phoenix on Tuesday, Feb. 27, for a two-night stand at Footprint Center, treating fans to an epic, career-spanning set that Benito Martínez Ocasio, aka Bad Bunny, has said is aimed at longtime, hardcore fans.

Which certainly appeared to be the case in a set that took a journey from his early trap hits to the lion’s share of his new album, 2023’s acclaimed “Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana.”

At 29, the global superstar remains one of the most-streamed artists in the world on Spotify, where his previous album, 2022’s “Un Verano Sin Ti,” was last year’s most-streamed album.

The fourth date on a tour the King of Latin Trap has confidently titled the Most Wanted Tour began with an orchestral suite performed by the 24-member Philharmonic Orchestra Project led by Grammy-winning conductor Carlitos Lopez.

After 9 minutes of scene-setting music, Bad Bunny appeared on the video screens above the audience wearing a black suit, his features partly covered by a head scarf, to open with the song that sets the tone for “Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana,” a dramatic title track of sorts called “Nadie Sabe,” backed by the Orchestra Project.

As the song progressed, he made his entrance, rising from beneath the stage to the rapturous applause of his adoring fans, who emphatically chanted “Benito” at the song's conclusion.

"Nadie Sabe" gave way to the next four songs on his new album, including the huge hit single, “Monaco.” His crew of 20 dancers joined in on “Fina,” which also brought the night’s first fireworks.

Bad Bunny's Most Wanted Tour 2024 has 4 acts and an encore

It was a fast-paced concert that lasted just over two hours, divided into four acts, each with its own personality, performed on two crescent-shaped stages at opposite ends of the arena.

By the time the night was through, he’d made his way through nearly 40 songs , some performed in shortened versions just to fit more songs into the mix.

Bad Bunny commanded the room throughout with the charisma of a natural entertainer, speaking often and at length in Spanish.

Bad Bunny arrived on horseback for his 2nd act

The 10-song first act was devoted to the new release and ended with his dancers dressed in shrouds and skull masks overpowering Bad Bunny, who disappeared beneath the stage at the close of an ominous “Baticano.”

He made his entrance for the second act on horseback in a blue suede rhinestone cowboy suit with fringes after a narrated video showed him riding through the desert on a horse, returning to the new release for Teléfono Nuevo."

From there, he reached back to 2017 for “Tú No Metes Cabra” to kick off a medley of his early trap songs, from the brooding, emotional balladry of “Pa Ti,” “No Te Hagas” and the Daddy Yankee collab “Vuelve.”

Bad Bunny built that section to a climax with “Tú no vive así,” “Chambea” and a massive singalong to his Soundcloud breakthrough “Diles” before boarding a floating bridge to close the act with “25/8,” “Vuelve Candy B” and “Thunder Y Lightning” while suspended high above the crowd.

Act III was an acoustic mini-set that featured “Gracias Por Nada” and a gorgeous, understated reinvention of "Un x100to," a Grupo Frontero collab, performed to piano accompaniment.

Bad Bunny closed his Phoenix concert with a crowd-pleasing Mix Perreo

Act IV was a Mix Perreo reggaeton set that brought the show to a crowd-pleasing climax, from the throbbing beats of “Baby Nueva” and "Perro Negro" to “Un Preview” before treating the fans to one last song, the new album’s lead single, “Where She Goes.”

Surprisingly, he only did two songs from “Un Verano Sin Ti" — "Efecto" and "Me Porto Bonito," played back-to-back as the final act was building to a fevered pitch.

Bad Bunny Makes History as Top Touring Act for 2022: The Year in Charts

The combination of El Ultimo Tour Del Mundo & World's Hottest Tour puts the Puerto Rican multi-hyphenate at the top of Billboard's annual Boxscore recaps.

This story is part of  Billboard ‘s The Year in Touring package — read more stories about the top acts, tours and venues of 2022  here .

Things, for a while, have been unprecedented. Following an 18-month quiet period for concert venues worldwide, doors slowly opened, first in the U.S. and increasingly so around the globe. This made for an  excepted review  of touring in 2021, but the full return of live music presents a much fuller picture this year. With the 2022 year-end Boxscore recap, precedents continue to fade as Bad Bunny finishes as the year’s top touring act (No. 1 on Top Tours ) with total gross of $373.5 million from 1.8 million tickets across 65 shows.

Madonna Thanks 'Incredibly Talented' Kids for Joining Her on Celebration Tour

Bad Bunny is the first Latin act, and first act who doesn’t perform in English, to finish atop  Billboard ’s year-end Top Tours chart. Beyond the historic nature of his win for genre and language, he is the only artist to mount separate $100-million tours in the same year.

Further, while Boxscore charts often favor older acts with deeper histories on the road, like 2020 and 2021 champs Elton John and The Rolling Stones, Bad Bunny’s win this year is a testament to the growing power of contemporary stadium acts. In fact, the 28-year-old is just the third artist to simultaneously crown the year-end Top Tours and overall Top Artists charts, following Taylor Swift in 2015 and One Direction in 2014.

Bad Bunny’s year in touring breaks down into several parts. First, he played two hometown stadium shows at San Juan’s Hiram Bithorn Stadium, earning $6.5 million on Dec. 10-11, 2021. That was followed by El Ultimo Tour Del Mundo, an arena run named after his 2020 album that broke ground as the first all-Spanish-language set to top the weekly Billboard 200 chart. On that trek, he earned $116.8 million from 35 shows, enough to set a record for the highest-grossing Latin tour in Boxscore history.

Billboard’s Year-End Boxscore charts are based on figures reported to Billboard Boxscore for engagements that played between Nov. 1, 2021-Oct. 31, 2022.

That tour broke local records in Inglewood, Calif., Miami, Houston, Seattle, and more, setting the stage for an even bigger fall in 2022. After releasing  Un Verano Sin Ti  and spending most the summer at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, Bad Bunny played three Puerto Rico shows for a $4 million gross, and then properly embarked on World’s Hottest Tour, living up to its name at each stop.

The trek leveled Bad Bunny to stadiums and took in $232.5 million in North America, plus another $13.8 million from its first four Latin American shows. After setting arena records throughout the U.S. in the spring, he set revenue records in 12 of the 15 domestic markets he played in the fall. While Daddy Yankee’s La Ultima Vuelta World Tour quickly stole Bunny’s all-time Latin tour record from earlier this year, World’s Hottest Tour re-sets the pace as the first pan-American stadium tour of its size.

All of that combines to $373.5 million during the twelve-month tracking period, amounting to a record-setting, historic No. 1 finish, eclipsing Elton John and Ed Sheeran at Nos. 2-3, each of whom was a previous year-end victor.

These men lead the most eye-popping Top Tours chart ever. Five acts grossed more than $200 million, beating the previous high of four in 2018, and 16 acts generated more than $100 million in ticket sales, nearly doubling the previous high of nine in 2017 and 2018.

Bad Bunny Owns The Stage On His 'Most Wanted Tour' Stop In Louisville

On his tour,  Bad Bunny  owned the stage during a performance at the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky.

The Latin music star sported a baseball cap, a suit and string tie and a piece of black cloth in his hands.

Bad Bunny has been very busy lately. He is currently on his  Most Wanted Tour , which started in Utah on February 21 and ends in Miami in May .

The musician recently broke up with his model girlfriend ,  Kendall Jenner,  in December 2023. Last August, he was spotted making up with Jenner at a  Drake  concert.

Bad Bunny chooses to keep his life private. In a pointed statement to  Vanity Fair , he said, “I’m not really interested in clarifying anything because I have no commitment to clarify anything to anyone. I am clear and, my friend  Jomar  is clear, and my mother is clear. They are the only ones to whom I have to clarify anything.”

Bad Bunny’s Go-To Accessory Is Right on Trend

Bad Bunny is currently on the road: The Puerto Rican rapper has embarked on his North American “Most Wanted” Tour. Last night, the star made his latest pitstop in Louisville, Kentucky—just two weeks before he will serve as a co-host at this year’s Met Gala in New York City, no less. As usual, Benito couldn’t resist bringing a strong fashion look to the stage. His cool take on suiting up included a fresh accessory that is right on trend.

What is this standout accessory, you may ask? A western-style bolo tie. Styled with a cropped double-breasted blazer and dress pants, Bad Bunny’s tailored look was punctuated by a gold and black bolo tie slipped underneath his white collared shirt. The choice is extremely current—partly because fashion is embracing the western look , and stars like Lana Del Rey and Beyoncé are going country. (Beyoncé has been wearing the jewelry style almost nonstop since she released Cowboy Carter , which saw the superstar step into a new era.)

A sleek bolo tie, however, is nothing new for Bad Bunny. The piece is one of his go-tos; he's been spotted wearing them everywhere from the stage to courtside with ex-girlfriend Kendall Jenner. And we don’t blame him—worn with a crisp collar, a bolo is a cool, fresh alternative to a stuffy traditional tie. Now that two of the world’s biggest superstars—Bunny and Beyoncé— have given them a stamp of approval, something tells us it’s only a matter of time before they become a full-on global trend.
