Belphegor announce 2023 European Headline Tour With Kampfar and Hideous Divinity
Known as a tirelessly touring band, long-running diabolical death metal titans Belphegor are happy to announce The Devils European Aufmarsch 2023 in support of their newest, strongest and most successful chart-breaking album, “The Devils”. Produced at renowned Fascination Studios with Jens Bogren, “The Devils” sounds absolutely crushing and dynamic, sonically pushing the immense variety of the eight tracks to new heights. Watching the band perform this album live is an absolute must.
Having grown to become one of extreme music’s premier live outfits, Kampfar has been releasing key albums that have both dominated and contributed to form the modern black metal scene as we know it today. They join Belphegor on this run to present their newest record “Til Klovers Takt” – an album that stands on the shoulders of everything that came before it in Kampfar ‘s catalog. It draws inspiration from the first song written 28 years ago as much as it leans on any other period in the band’s past.
Italian-based technical death metal die hards Hideous Divinity will deliver their staggering conceptual EP “LV-426”, the concept of which is a sub-narrative of the second Alien movie directed by James Cameron.
Last but not least, Swiss melodic death metallers Devils Rage and Swedish thrash’n’roll act Leach will open the bill on selected dates.

Review by Phil Grundy Photographs by KKLive Photography
On arriving at the venue, it was obvious from the fans entering that this was going to be a night of brutal music. I had been pre-warned this band “ Conjured The Dead ” so there was a feeling of anticipation as people filled the venue in their best battle jackets and boots. One guy, I’d had a brief chat with outside was dressed in full corpse paint, complete with boots, and long Jacket. Now that’s dedication…
BELPHEGOR are a band who have been around a long time, but unfortunately I personally hadn’t heard of until recently. An Austrian extreme metal band from Salzburg. Originally formed in 1991 under the name ‘ Betrayer ‘, until changing their name to ‘ BELPHEGOR ‘ in 1993. In that time, they had released several studio albums, EP’s, Live albums and visuals. Their first album titled ‘ The Last Supper’ released by Lethal Records in January 1995. Moving on to 2021, BELPHEGOR have toured far and wide taking their Dark Demonic metal shows to Metal fans in there thousands everywhere. Their most recent album titled ‘ Totenritual’ was released in 2017. The bands 12th studio album is set for release in May 2022. When asked if I would attend and give an opinion on the band, I immediately hit BELPHEGOR into YouTube…. Being a bit of an old school Death Metal fan of bands such as Deicide , Sepultura , Mayhem and Bursem, I decided to say, yes I’d love to go, although I was apprehensive as to what I was letting myself in for.
Entering the Venue, merch stalls circled the inner entrance and bar area. I was greeted at the door, entrance being fast and friendly. We headed straight for the bar, where we were served and headed into the room out the back where we could hear people had already gathered.
I would definitely go and see this band again, Brutal Music, amazing stage show, presence and effects for the hardcore metal fan. Thanks for a great night guys you’ve a new fan.

Hit 80s band announces UK tour with a promise to play songs from all 11 albums
Share this with
The Cult has announced that they are set to embark on a new tour in celebration of their 40th anniversary.
The rock band announced The 8424 tour, a name which references the year they formed in 1984 and the year of this gig, 2024.
Much like Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour , the band is set to perform some of their best hits from across their 11 albums – including She Sells Sanctuary, Rain, and Fire Woman.
The tour will travel across the UK and Europe, kicking off in the UK in October for 10 dates spanning into November.
While this is an exciting anniversary for the band who are back performing together, it’s not been a plain sailing road to get to this anniversary as the band has actually broken up twice in the past four decades.
The band first broke up in 1995 after 12 years together after it was reported that there were tensions between the two longest-serving members and main songwriters for the group, Billy Duffy and Ian Astbury.
In 1999 the band regrouped and released a seventh album Beyond Good and Evil in 2001. This was reportedly somewhat of a commercial flop which is what perhaps led to their second breakup.
In 2002 the band broke up again and didn’t reunite until 2006. Since then the band has released four albums with the latest, Under the Midnight Sun, being released just two years ago in 2022.
Before settling on their current name, The Cult, the band also performed under the name Death Cult from 1983–1984.
In 2023, performing under the name Death Cult, guitarist Duffy and frontman Astbury, went on tour performing some of their best hits under the name Death Cult 8323.
Guitarist Billy Duffy referenced the tour last year, which included a series of sold out shows at the Brixton Electric, as inspiration for the whole band coming together for this new tour.
‘Following up from the great energy of Death Cult 8323 shows, I’m looking forward to bringing that sense of celebration of the band’s music, and the communion with our fans, to Cult 8424. CFFC. Let the ceremony commence!’
Fans who want to get their hands on tickets to see the band won’t have to wait too long as tickets go on general sale this Friday at 10am.

The band appears to be following a popular trend among 80s hit artists as many other beloved bands from this era have announced comeback tours for 2024.
In March, Fairground attraction announced their return and that their four original members are reuniting not just for a tour, but for a brand new album to boot!
Similarly, the New Kids on the Block announced their return with their first album in over a decade.
Singer-songwriter Sananda Maitreya is also set to perform this summer . Formerly known as Terence Trent D’Arby, the 80s artist will be giving a rare performance at the Love Supreme Jazz Festival.

The Cult announce 40th anniversary UK tour for winter 2024
The dates conclude with a stop at London’s Royal Albert Hall
The Cult have announced details of a UK tour, which will celebrate their 40th year as a band. Find upcoming dates and ticket details below.
Announced today (April 16), the shows are set for later this year and will see the iconic ‘80s rock group perform in 10 cities across the country. The dates come in celebration of a huge milestone for Ian Astbury and co., as this year marks four decades since the band formed as we recognise them today – swapping their name from the original title ‘Death Cult’ into ‘The Cult’.
“Following up from the great energy of Death Cult 8323 shows, I’m looking forward to bringing that sense of celebration of the band’s music, and the communion with our fans, to Cult 8424,” guitarist Billy Duffy said of the new announcement. “CFFC. Let the ceremony commence!”
The shows all take place this winter, and kick off on October 21 with an opening night at the De Montfort Hall in Leicester. This is followed the next night with a gig at Swansea Arena (22), followed by stops in Edinburgh (24), Manchester (25), Bristol (27), York (29) and Newcastle (30).
The final run of the new tour dates will take place in the first week of November; including a slot at Guildhall in Portsmouth on the 1st, and a show at Civic Hall in Wolverhampton the following night. The dates wrap up with a closing show at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall in London on November 4.
Tickets go on sale this Friday (April 19) at 10am BST. Visit here to get tickets and find a full list of tour dates below.

OCTOBER 21 – Leicester, De Montfort Hall 22– Swansea, Swansea Arena 24 – Edinburgh, Usher Hall 25 – Manchester, O2 Apollo 27 – Bristol, Beacon 29 – York, Barbican 30 – Newcastle, O2 City Hall
NOVEMBER: 1 – Portsmouth, Guildhall 2 – Wolverhampton, Civic Hall 4 – London, Royal Albert Hall
The dates for 2024 come following a tour the band embarked on last year, celebrating 40 years since their first formation under the name ‘Death Cult’ .
Taking place around the UK, Ireland and the US, the tour was called ‘Death Cult 8323’ and saw Duffy and Astbury return to play iconic venues they previously performed in at the start of their career.
The live shows focused on Death Cult and their eponymous EPs, and also boasted a setlist that spanned “the three phases of the band, from Southern Death Cult, to Death Cult, and The Cult’s first two albums: ‘Dreamtime’ (1984) and ‘Love’ (1985).”
More recently, Billy Duffy joined Johnny Marr on stage in Frome last summer to play tracks by The Smiths and Depeche Mode .
The on-stage appearance was the latest of the multiple times the two musicians have joined forces, as they both have a long history of playing music together – stemming back to their adolescent years.

Taylor Swift will soon launch the European, UK and Ireland legs of her record-breaking Eras tour.
Over the past year, the 34-year-old pop star has been performing her career-spanning shows at stadiums around the world, including North America, Tokyo, Melbourne, Sydney and Singapore.

In a five-star review of the very first show of Swift’s Eras tour , critic Kelsey Barnes wrote how the US star guided fans through more than a decade’s worth of “her best work”.
“Her ‘Eras Tour’ was designed as a journey through that staggering back catalogue of 10 albums, from her earlier country twang on her self-titled debut to the shift to synth-pop on 1989 , then to the subdued folk and alt-rock of Folklore and Evermore ,” she wrote.
“Throughout the opening night of the tour, it frequently feels as though the audience is being caught up with Swift’s past, present and future. In the 44-song setlist that spans three hours and 15 minutes, she shows why the “era” concept is so integral to who she is. Each chapter marks a specific shift in her artistry.”
The Tortured Poets Department, released on 19 April, is the pop titan’s 11th studio album. It appears to have been inspired, in part, by the five stages of grief. Ahead of the release, Swift shared five new playlists that arrange her songs into those stages: denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance.
“These songs represent making room for more good in your life,” she says in a brief audio message that accompanied the final playlist, acceptance. “Making that choice. Because a lot of time when we lose things, we gain things too.”

TikTok inked a partnership with ticketing provider AXS to let users of the popular video app discover and buy tickets to live events.
The feature is going live initially in the U.S., U.K., Sweden and Australia, with additional markets to follow at an undetermined date. Now, any certified artist on TikTok can use the in-app ticketing feature to promote their AXS live dates, according to the company.
TikTok has let users in the U.S. purchase live event tickets via a partnership with Ticketmaster since 2022, and last December expanded the Ticketmaster pact to encompass more than 20 new markets, including Canada, Mexico, the U.K., Ireland and Australia.

“TikTok’s partnership with AXS allows us to connect millions of users with legendary artists, venues and festivals, and allows artists to promote their live dates and reach their audience in a whole new way,” said Michael Kümmerle, global music partnership development lead at TikTok. “We are very excited to start this journey with AXS and look forward to supporting the further growth of ticketing on TikTok in the future.”
AXS chief strategy officer Marc Ruxin commented, “TikTok has become one of the most important global platforms for music content attracting an incredible community of artists and fans. 2024 Masters: Round 3 tee times

Change Text Size
AUGUSTA, Ga. – Third-round tee times have been released for the Masters. Max Homa and Bryson DeChambeau will play in Saturday’s final group at 2:45 p.m. ET.
Scottie Scheffler, who’s tied for the lead with Homa and DeChambeau, will tee off 10 minutes earlier alongside Nicolai Højgaard, the Dane who was the youngest player in last year’s Ryder Cup and closed 2023 by winning the DP World Tour Championship. Scheffler is seeking his second Masters win in the last three years. He recently won his second consecutive PLAYERS Championship.
Cameron Davis, a member of the 2022 International Presidents Cup Team, will tee off alongside Collin Morikawa in the third-to-last group. They’ll be preceded by Ludvig Åberg and Matthieu Pavon, the Frenchman who won this year’s Farmers Insurance Open.
Other notable groups include:
- Tiger Woods, Tyrrell Hatton (12:45 p.m. Eastern). The five-time Masters champion Woods has set the record with his 24th consecutive made cut at Augusta National, and he now seeks a climb up the leaderboard for a chance to match Jack Nicklaus' record six green jackets come Sunday. Woods trails the lead by seven strokes into Saturday.
- Patrick Cantlay, Neal Shipley (a) (12:15 p.m.) Ohio State's Shipley has secured low amateur honors as the only of five amateurs in the field to make the cut. He'll play alongside world No. 7 Cantlay, who is still seeking his first major title. Cantlay is eight off the lead, with Shipley nine back.
- Akshay Bhatia, Shane Lowry (12:05 p.m.) Fresh off a victory at last week's Valero Texas Open that secured his first Masters berth, Bhatia kept the good times rolling with rounds of 72-75 to make the cut with three strokes to spare. He'll play alongside a popular Irishman in Lowry, also nine off the lead into the weekend.
- Sahith Theegala, Phil Mickelson (11:25 a.m.). Perhaps two of golf's most creative shotmakers and California natives, both enter the weekend at 4-over 146, trailing the lead by 10 strokes. Theegala finished ninth last year in his Masters debut; Mickelson is a three-time Masters champion.
- Joaquin Niemann, Min Woo Lee (11:05 a.m.). The effervescent Lee has quickly become one of the game's more colorful characters, and he carded 74-74 to make the cut despite a broken finger that he suffered in a gym accident less than two weeks ago. Lee and Niemann both trail the lead by 10 into Saturday.
- Rory McIlroy, Camilo Villegas (10:55 a.m.). Many eyes will be on McIlroy early Saturday, which he'll begin 10 strokes back, as he seeks to make a heroic run toward his first green jacket, which would complete the career Grand Slam. He'll play alongside a popular Colombian in Villegas, who won last fall's Butterfield Bermuda Championship to earn his first Masters berth since 2015.
Here are the full tee times for Saturday's third round:
9:35 a.m. : Rickie Fowler, Hideki Matsuyama (Japan)

Taylor Swift Eras tour ticket scams could have conned UK fans out of more than £1m, bank warns
Fans of Coldplay, Beyonce and Harry Styles were also targeted by scams last summer, Lloyds has said. The bank has issued a warning to fans after analysing reports of customers who have been conned since tickets went on sale in 2023.
Wednesday 17 April 2024 00:54, UK
Taylor Swift fans in the UK could have already lost more than £1m to con artists pretending to sell concert tickets for her Eras tour, a major bank has estimated.
Lloyds Bank has issued a warning to fans based on an analysis of purchase scams reported by its customers, as well as those of Halifax and Bank of Scotland, where Swift and/or the Eras Tour were referenced as part of the claim.
More than 600 Lloyds Banking Group customers have reported being scammed since tickets went on sale in July 2023.
Each victim lost £332 on average, though in some cases the loss was more than £1,000, Lloyds said.
With the figures based solely on its own customer data, Lloyds estimates there are likely to have been at least 3,000 victims across the UK - with more than £1m lost to fraudsters - based on its current account market share and assuming similar trends across other UK banks.
Fans aged 25 to 34 trying to buy sold-out tickets are most likely to be targeted, with many scams originating on social media, Lloyds warned.
Fans of Coldplay , Beyonce and Harry Styles were also targeted by scams last summer, it added.
Purchase scams involve tricking someone into sending money via bank transfer to buy goods or services that are fake, shoddy, or do not exist.
Ticket scams often involve fake adverts, posts or listings on social media, offering tickets or access to events which have already sold out as fraudsters know they can cash in on eager fans willing to pay much more by falsely claiming to have tickets for sale.
Swift's record-breaking Eras tour is set to gross more than $1bn (£813m), according to reports, with tickets for shows selling out as soon as they went on sale.
By the time it ends in December, the star will have played more than 150 shows across five continents.

'If it looks too good to be true, it probably is'
Lisa Webb, consumer law expert at Which?, said people buying gig tickets should use a credit card for anything costing more than £100, or PayPal, as both these methods can provide protection.
"We've heard from disappointed Swifties who have bought tickets on social media, only to realise it's a scam when their promised tickets never materialise," she said. "Unfortunately, if it looks too good to be true, it probably is.
"Don't be tempted to buy tickets from anyone other than authorised sellers, as your rights can be significantly reduced if something goes wrong."

Anyone who thinks they have fallen victim to a ticket scam should contact their bank and report it to Action Fraud or Police Scotland, she added.
Liz Ziegler, Lloyds Bank fraud prevention director, said: "It's easy to let our emotions get the better of us when we find out our favourite artist is going to be performing live, but it's important not to let those feelings cloud our judgement when trying to get hold of tickets."
