The ceo was very well organised and efficient making the tour run smoothly despite the very intense itinerary. Majority of the group getting stomach bug/ food poisoning was very unfortunate, but not the CEO’s fault, however avoiding that would’ve made the experience even better.

Overall trip was interesting. Our guide Sita very pleasant and helpfull. I would recommend changing La Dolce Vita for better hotel. Its dirty. After arrival i unfortunetly took bath instead of shower and had major issues. Mold everywhere causing breathing problems. No possibility to take shower before trip either. Please choose guides who speak better english or send existing onces for classes. We could not understand them. The gentelman from Cambodia touring Killing fields and prison was very good.

Amazing landscape, busy cities, delicious food, rich culture, warm people, amazing and interesting activities (one of my favorite - kayaking and swimming in Ha Long Bai, also squid fishing, early morning Tai Chi session, hot air ballooning and many more). Special thanks to Jenny for very good organizing skills and being available to reach anytime. Also special credits go to our guide in Renea Cruse Mr. Cong, who was very kind and charming and made the trip even more exiting :) I would definitely recommend this package of tour for everyone! Spirits Of Vietnam - Cambodia - Thailand In 16 Days

It was a trip of 14 days Vietnam, 3 days Kambodscha, 2 days Bangkok. I booked over Secret Escaoes wirh Realistic Asia as guide. In Vietnam I had a great sightseeing experience in Jan 2024. The hotels were solid 3••• Hotels partly needed renovation. Mostly organized tours, were no tour planned for 3 days Hoi An and 3 days Hoi Chi Minh. But ok for relaxing or self organised tours (extra costs). The transfers were always reliabe. The guides very competent and friendly. The trip was not without some trouble because of partly really bad room quality. Rosie from RA gave outstanding support on each issue, responded within 10 minutes or so and fixed it. Big thank you to her and her team. The price wirh 4.200 Euros. One star less only for the hotel quality (Sapa, Ho Chi Minh, Phuket, Bangkok inclusive not very good breakfast)

Just finished our tour and I am very impressed at the whole tour. It was adventurous, we saw so many beautiful sights , cultures and , natural beauty. . It was a very well thought out itinerary. We started in exciting Vietnam, marveled and trekked through Ankor Wat Cambodia , hung out with majestic elephants in Thailand, and hiked to a waterfall in Laos amongst so many things. A trip of a lifetime !!!!

Xin chao! Welcome to Hanoi, Vietnam’s vibrant capital city. You’ll be met on arrival at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Your adventure begins with a welcome meeting at 6pm where you’ll meet your tour leader and fellow travellers. If you arrive early, Hanoi offers plenty of enticing experiences. Today’s total travel time is approximately 3.5 hours. Your main luggage can be left in the hotel in Hanoi.

Surprise Cave is accessed via staircases but the pathways inside can be a little uneven and slippery, so good walking shoes or sandals will be useful. Swimming in the bay from the boats is banned by the local authority.

Your junk-style boat has twin-share cabins with en suite facilities and air-conditioning. Due to the limited cabins on board, the single supplement is excluded, and accommodation will be on a twin-share basis.

Local authorities permit a limited number of boats to stay overnight in Halong Bay. To ensure all travellers can be accommodated on board available boats, on rare occasions you will stay on a larger boat (with up to 12 cabins) and share your boat with another group. Or your group may be split across different vessels, in which case a group leader will be present on each boat. The route taken and inclusions on board will be the same.

Start your day with a peaceful breakfast and perhaps take part in some Tai Chi on board the boat before returning to Hanoi. This afternoon you’ll take part in a once-in-a-lifetime experience and sit down to a soul-stirring traditional Hat Xam performance. Hat Xam is an art form of Northern Vietnam dating back to the Tran Dynasty. Originally, this was performed by blind performers, and was enjoyed by local working-class audiences, right up until the late 1950s, when a wave of communism deemed all art forms to be corrupting influences. Today these performances are rare, but you and your group will be taken to a private club house and treated to an exclusive performance in one of the few places where artists still sing acoustically. The performance takes around 60 minutes, and includes possible interaction with guests, so be ready to get involved!

This morning you’ll get to know Hanoi’s charms on a half-day tour with your leader. You'll also visit the infamous Hoa Lo Prison, known as the "Hanoi Hilton" which held American POWs. This afternoon you’ll say goodbye to Hanoi and fly south to Danang. Drive on to Hoi An and take in views of lush scenery along the way. Hoi An was once a great trading port for pottery, and centuries-old pottery villages still exist to this day. No trip to Vietnam is complete without trying its famed coffee. Your leader will take you to a local coffee shop, where you can savor a delicious coffee of your choice as you watch the hustle and bustle of Hoi An pass you by. Perhaps try a traditional egg coffee - the addition of condensed milk and egg white make this caffeinated beverage into a frothy treat, or a refreshing coconut coffee. Your afternoon is free for your own explorations.

Your leader will have great recommendations for places to eat and drink. In the afternoon, transfer back to Danang and fly to Ho Chi Minh City. Today’s flight is approximately 1 hour and transfer to the airport is approximately 1 hour. Rooms at the Ramada Encore, and in Ho Chi Minh City in general, are compact given the building style and central location.

Head out of the city to the nearby Cu Chi Tunnels, an extensive underground network dug by the Viet Minh and later expanded by the Viet Cong. Enter a widened section of the tunnels with your leader who will help you imagine what life underground must have been like and explain how the tunnels contained hospitals, accommodation and schools, and were used for refuge, storage and as a military base for the Viet Cong. Return to Ho Chi Minh City for a tour of the dynamic city where daily life plays out on the streets. Your leader will take you to the Reunification Palace, formally the Presidential Palace and the site of South Vietnam’s surrender in 1975, before visiting the War Remnants Museum. In the evening, perhaps spend some time with your fellow travellers and enjoy a final dinner at a local restaurant. Your leader will know of some wonderful options.

There is an optional visit to Wat Phnom, the temple that gave rise to the city’s foundation in the 15th century. After breakfast this morning, you’ll go on a journey of discovery from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap in a comfortable private vehicle. Discover traditional Cambodian life at Skun Village and learn about the town’s deep-fried tarantulas and other insects, which the locals consume daily. You’ll also visit Santuk Silk Farm to learn about silk production and its work as a social enterprise, employing local women as artisan weavers. Share a simple, rustic local lunch prepared by the weavers before you continue to Siem Reap, stopping to see historic bridges along the way before arriving at your hotel at approximately 5 pm. This tropical oasis boasts three pools and an excellent restaurant with a focus on wellness. Bright and spacious rooms are in harmony with the lush grounds and feature a veranda, private garden and rain showers. If you choose, you can embrace a very early start today and experience a sunrise visit to the Angkor complex (optional). After, you'll spend the day discovering the fantastic temples of Angkor. For the first half of the day, you’ll be accompanied by a private Angkor Wat archaeological guide, who will provide expert knowledge and insight along the way. Begin at Angkor Wat – the largest and most complete structure and the only one of Angkor's temples with an entrance facing west. For lunch, visit the Sala Bai Hotel School, where underprivileged local youths learn skills to find gainful employment in the hospitality industry. Enjoy a meal prepared by students at the school, then visit Angkor Thom – the 'Great Royal City' – a temple famous for its series of colossal human faces carved in stone. From here, you’ll head out of town to an ancient working monastery to gain a special insight into the life of a monk and Theravada Buddhism. Meet the monks, enjoy a sacred water blessing for good luck and prosperity and have a red band tied around your wrist to keep you safe in your travels. The rest of the evening can be spent exploring the bars of Siem Reap or relaxing in laidback luxury at your resort.

Day 1 Home Hanoi

Chao mung! Or welcome to Vietnam. 

Please make your own way to your 4-star boutique hotel located in the heart of Hanoi where the rest of the day is at leisure.

Please note: that standard check in is 3pm. Should you be arriving earlier in the day, the hotel can hold your luggage until your room is ready.

Day 2 Hanoi

Start the day with breakfast at the hotel, before your tour of Hanoi begins. Start your visit at the Temple of Literature, the first university in Vietnam. It was built in 1070. Move on to the Ethnographic Museum of Vietnam where you can see numerous exhibitions relevant to national folklore. Continue to Tran Quoc Pagoda - one of the oldest pagodas in Vietnam. 

This afternoon enjoy a walk through the Old Quarter of Hanoi, also called 36 streets. This vibrant area houses thousands of boutiques and small shops and is a great way to cap off  an interesting day.

At approximately 6pm this evening, you will embark on your Hanoi Street Food tour which will include delicacies from Northern Vietnam such as; stuffed pancakes, banh mi, stuffed sticky rice balls, unique egg coffee and many more (this food tour will be considered as your included dinner).  

Day 3 Hanoi Halong Bay

Today, you will travel by coach through the rich farmland of the Red River Delta to arrive at Halong Bay.

Designated a World Heritage site in 1994, Halong Bay’s spectacular scatter of islands, dotted with wind- and wave-eroded grottoes, is a vision of ethereal beauty.

Upon arrival you will board your ship to visit the thousands of limestone islands filled with caves of all shapes and sizes. The sails of junks and sampans gliding along the clear and emerald waters of the bay form a magnificent scene that blends into the sky. You will also have the opportunity to visit some of the hidden grottoes beneath the towering cliffs.

Day 4 Halong Bay Hanoi Ho Chi Minh City

Awake early and participate in Tai Chi on the deck or simply relax and enjoy the sunrise over the bay’s towering islands, a sight not to be missed! Enjoy a morning cup of coffee or tea, before setting out to explore nearby islands by rowboat. Return to the junk for breakfast then take advantage of the sundeck and admire the amazing rock formations of Halong Bay. 

Enjoy a light lunch before heading back to shore. Your driver will then meet you at the Halong jetty for your drive back to Hanoi airport.

Upon arrival at Tan Son Nhat Airport you will be transferred to your 4-star hotel in Ho Chi Minh City located beside the famous Ben Thanh Market.

Day 5 Ho Chi Minh City

After breakfast, embark on a tour of Ho Chi Minh City (formerly known as Saigon). Visit highlights such as the historic Post Office, War Remnant Museum, photograph the Notre Dame Cathedral and soak up the atmosphere at Ben Thanh market, one of Ho Chi Minh’s liveliest areas.

The rest of the afternoon is your own leisure time to explore or join in an optional tour.

Cu Chi is a network of more than 120 km under the ground and were built by sweat and blood of Vietnamese guerrillas to hide and fight against the rival forces. You will be introduced to many kinds of booby traps used during Vietnam war. We will take time to explain the methods of creating, maintaining and living in these tunnels as well as the special technique of hiding smoke invented by the guerrillas.

Day 6 Ho Chi Minh City

Today is a free day for individual activities, optional tours or shopping. The central streets are full of shops and boutiques. Traditional objects, war memorabilia, Vietnamese drinks, unconventional food, handicrafts, fruits and vegetables can be found in Ben Thanh Market.

Escape the hustle and bustle of the city and embark on a captivating tour of the Mekong Delta, where you'll get a glimpse of life beyond the urban center of the South. A mere 2.5 hours away lies My Tho, a former naval base that has evolved into a thriving port city in the heart of the Mekong Delta. This area marks the final destination of the mighty Mekong River, which traverses through Tibet, China, Burma, Laos, Cambodia, and finally into Vietnam. Known for its incredibly fertile land, the Mekong Delta is a powerhouse of food production, responsible for generating almost half of Vietnam's agricultural output. For the locals residing in this region, their lives revolve around the intricate network of rivers and canals that constitute the delta. In fact, water transport is more commonplace than road transport.

Once we arrive in My Tho, we'll embark on a private boat and cruise along the Mekong River. Our first stop will be a fish farm, where we'll gain insight into one of the cottage industries that drives the region. We'll then visit an island that's home to lush tropical gardens, where we'll get to savor some delicious tropical fruits. Our Mekong tour continues onto another island, where we'll learn more about coconut candy, another cottage industry prevalent in the region. Our local guide will take us to a factory, where we'll discover the process of making this sweet treat. As we journey down the Mekong, we'll have the opportunity to visit local villages and gain a deeper understanding of the traditional lifestyles, culture, and customs of the people who call this Delta their home.

Our Mekong discovery continues as we travel via Xe Loi (motorized cart) to a bee farm. Here, we'll transfer to a smaller rowing boat, which will allow us to explore the smaller canals of the Delta. We'll then head to Mien Tay riverside restaurant, where we'll indulge in a set-menu lunch. Your local guide will provide you with valuable insights into the finer points of local cuisine and assist with ordering some of the most delectable delicacies. After lunch, we'll stop at Vinh Trang pagoda before heading back to Ho Chi Minh City, where we'll drop you off at your hotel.

Day 7 Ho Chi Minh Siem Reap

This morning, you will be transferred to Ho Chi Minh City airport and board your flight to Siem Reap. Upon arrival at the airport, meet your local guide and transfer to your hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore this vibrant city.

Day 8 Angkor Temples

Spend a full day discovering the mystical Angkor temples. 

Your day starts with a visit to Angkor Thom (the Great City) beginning by the south gate and the famous Bayon of the 12th and 13th centuries. Then, journey to the Elephant Terrace and the raised Leper King Terrace, built in the 12th century features many beautifully sculptured Apsaras. Our last stop in the morning will be the ancient Ta Prohm Monastery.

In the afternoon, visit Angkor Wat, highlighted by the longest continuous bas-relief in the world, carved on the walls that tell the stories of Hindu legends. This architectural masterpiece was constructed in the 12th  century and covers an area of about 210 hectares. Stroll around this massive edifice, seeing the many galleries with columns,  pavilions, courtyards and ponds full of water reflecting the towering temple. 

We begin with a pre-dawn departure (4.30 to 4.40 am depending on the time of year) from your hotel for sunrise outside Angkor Wat. Our local guide will take you to the best photo spots before retreating again from the crowds. Enjoy a peaceful moment of reflection at this breathtaking World Heritage Site. Enjoy a scenic walk along the temple (we will not go inside yet) in the soft morning light and cool temperatures. Return to the hotel for your delicious breakfast. 

Day 9 Siem Reap

Today enjoy a boat tour of Tonle Sap Lake, a fascinating destination still unknown to most travellers. Locals have built their houses on stilts, offering an exceptional natural environment with breathtaking views of floodplains, rice fields and water vistas as far as the eye can see. You have a chance to take a look at crocodiles raised by a family and see how people live on this large lake. We then return to the hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Enjoy a day of leisure to explore Siem Reap at your own pace.

Day 11 Siem Reap Home

Our adventure ends this morning after breakfast. Please make your own way to the airport.

Fitness Requirements While the tour itinerary should give you some guidance and overview to the expected requirements, to determine if this tour is right for you we categorise each of our tours in terms of their intensity. As a general rule, porterage is not included, therefore at all times you are expected to handle your own luggage where help may not be available.

Moderate Tour : A good level of fitness and mobility is required, as this tour includes a moderate level of physical activity and is considered a medium-fast paced tour. You should be able to walk up and down stairs, get on and off the coach and able to walk reasonable distances of approximately 2 kilometres per day or more with ease. Any physical ailments you may have must be disclosed at the time of booking to determine your suitability. If you have any form of walking aids, other than a walking stick or hiking poles, then this tour is not suitable.

Tipping A friendly reminder that tipping is not included in your package. While tipping is not customary, it's of great significance to the people who will take care of you during your travels, inspires excellent service, and is an entrenched feature of the tourism industry across many destinations.

Tour Length The total length of the tour in days includes time spent in flight and is subject to change depending on the flight schedule, please refer to the day by day itinerary for the time spent on land.

Flight Information

This package includes international airfares or has the option of adding international airfares to your booking when selecting your departure city.

If international airfares are included this will be stated in the ‘Inclusions’ section

Alternatively, if international airfares can be added to your booking you will be able to select your departure city after clicking ‘Book Now’ and a cost will be stated next to your selected departure city. This cost will then be added to your booking and flights will be added to your booking. Conditions of flights for this package bookable by Inspiring Vacations:

• Flights will be booked with the best available airline/s with luggage included. Low-cost carriers may be booked in conjunction with a full-service airline. • Any airline schedule changes or cancellations are outside of our control. It is important that you, as the customer, stay up-to-date with the latest airline schedule information prior to your departure. If a schedule change results in extended transits or an earlier/later departure from your destination, any additional accommodation or alternative arrangements will be at the traveler's expense.
• After booking, the price payable may be subject to change as a result of factors beyond the control of Inspiring Vacations. Inspiring Vacations reserves the right to increase the price payable and this will be reflected on the customer's invoice. Increases may be in relation to, but not limited to, currency fluctuations, airline taxes, airfare increases and fuel surcharges.
• Internal airfares (where applicable and included in the itinerary) will be using a local carrier and may include low-cost carriers without meals or entertainment. Checked baggage will still be included for each passenger. Any additional baggage required is payable at time of check-in. 
• If you are travelling with another party on a separate booking, we cannot guarantee that the same flights will be booked for all parties, as this strictly depends on availability. 
• You will be responsible for handling your luggage at all times as the services of porters are not included. If travelling over the recommended amount, you will be liable for any excess baggage fees enforced by the airline, payable directly.
• In the event of that you no-show on your scheduled flight, please be aware the airline will require you to pay a no show fee, Airline reissue fee plus any additional airfare and taxes. Inspiring Vacations will also charge a $250 admin fee to assist re accommodating you on the next available flight. Please note that depending on the airline's policy, purchasing a new ticket may be required.

We understand customers may wish to request changes to their included airfares. If you wish to fly with a certain airline, land at a certain time or change your flight in other ways we will gladly provide you with a personalised quote tailored to your specific requirements. To make a flight request, please click ‘Book Now’ and select Would you like us to contact you around our flight service?  By selecting this option you will be sent a request form after completing your purchase to make your request.

We would be more than happy to provide you with a quote for the following requests:

• Airline Preferences - You may wish to fly with a particular airline
• Cabin Preferences - These include upgrading to premium economy or business class
• Extensions (start and end cities must remain the same) - You may request to extend your stay pre or post tour.
• Meal Requests - You may request a specific meal for dietary requirements.
• Seat Requests - If you would like to request particular seating. However please note, not all airlines allow the selection of pre-purchased seat arrangements.

We are currently unable to provide a quote for the following requests:

• Stopovers - Is where you might want to stop in transit for a certain amount of days prior to your tour or after your tour.
• One way flights
• Different start or end city to the tour - you may not amend the arrival or departure city of your itinerary. 
• Around the world tickets  - Is when a ticket includes multiple stops in different continents.
• Return home to a different city from the one you departed.
• Frequent Flyer point redemption - Is when an airline allows you to redeem points to pay for your flights or upgrade your ticket.  

If we can’t fulfill your request and you still wish to proceed with the booking, please select Land Only (excluding UK customers). This will allow you to travel on the land portion of the package without the included airfares. You will then be able to arrange your own flights separately.

Online check-in 

Some airlines may not permit online check-in where flights have been booked by a travel company. Where unavailable to do so online, you will be required to check-in at the airport. Inspiring Vacations cannot check-in online on behalf of our customers.
