The Final Four of the 2024 NCAA Tournament is set — and it's not one many saw coming, even if it's likely to produce a national championship game that basically anybody could've seen coming.

UConn is in the Final Four for the second straight year. NC State is in for the first time since 1983, and it's been since 1980 for Purdue. Alabama is in for the first time. 

It's an odd collection of schools.

On paper, at least, we have mismatches in the national semifinals. Matt Painter's Boilermakers are 9.5-point favorites over Kevin Keatts' Wolfpack in Saturday's first game. Dan Hurley's Huskies are 11.5-point favorites over Nate Oats' Crimson Tide in Saturday's second game. So it's possible, if not probable, that neither contest will be decided in the final minute.

As always, we'll see.

Either way, the idea that we really are just two more probable wins away from a championship game between Purdue and UConn is pretty awesome considering one of those two schools was ranked No. 1 in the Associated Press Top 25 poll in 12 of the 20 polls that published this season. This 68-team single-elimination event doesn't often finish with the best against the best — but it just might this year.

And then there were four.

It wasn't that long ago when 68 teams joined the dance, and now the 2024 men's NCAA Tournament is nearing its end. After Sunday night, just four teams remain in the fray, with UConn and Alabama punching their tickets to Arizona on Saturday. Purdue joined them on Sunday with NC State earning the last spot.

UConn has the opportunity to repeat, but the Huskies have to get two more wins to call themselves back-to-back champs.

The 11th-seeded NC State Wolfpack surged past No. 4 seed Duke in the second half to win 76-64 and set up a date with the Boilermakers, led by Zach Edey . With the win,  NC State advanced to its first Final Four since winning it all in 1983 .

When is the Final Four?

• Date: Saturday, April 6
• Start time: Games scheduled for 6:09 p.m. and 8:49 p.m. ET

The 2024 men's Final Four is scheduled Saturday, April 6, at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. No. 4 seed Alabama and No. 1 seed Connecticut are set to square off at 8:49 p.m. ET, with No. 1 Purdue will face No. 11 seed North Carolina State at 6:09 p.m. ET.

What TV channel is the Final Four on?

TBS is televising both the national semifinals, on Saturday, April 6, and the national championship, on Monday, April 8, this year.

Where is the Final Four?

• Location: Glendale, Arizona
• Venue: State Farm Stadium

The 2024 Final Four is set to be played at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. The stadium is home to the Arizona Cardinals in the NFL .

The national championship game will be played in the same stadium on Monday, April 8.

On Saturday, March 30, UConn defeated Illinois to punch its ticket to the Final Four. Alabama followed suit by downing Clemson to advance to the national semifinals.

On Sunday, March 31, Zach Edey and Purdue outlasted Tennessee to advance to the Final Four. North Carolina State continued on its remarkable March run by defeating ACC rival Duke in the Elite Eight. The Boilermakers take on the Wolfpack on Saturday, April 6.

Dota Pro Circuit 2023: DPC Summer Tour scores, standings, and points

With the Berlin Major in the books, it’s time for the final Dota Pro Circuit tour in 2023. During the Major, fans got to watch Gaimin Gladiators’ dominating run to the top, which eventually ended with another showdown against Team Liquid.

After an epic run at the Lima Major , GG became the fastest team to adapt to the new meta of patch 7.33, allowing them to take over the event with well-prepared strategies. While some teams are getting close to securing their invites to The International, the race is still on for the majority and a latecomer to the season can still snatch a spot with a solid regional performance, followed by a strong showing in the Bali Major.

The road to Bali started on May 14, and like previous seasons this year, division one will take place before division two which will kick off on June 7.

Dota Pro Circuit 2023: Full DPC Summer Tour points, scores, and standings

The Summer tours of the DPC will be played on Dota patch 7.33. At the time of writing, 7.33c is the exact patch but the letter at the end of the patch may change as Valve continues to balance the game with minor changes.

PGA TOUR University to offer benefits for five more players, D-II Player of the Year

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – Five more Division-I collegiate golfers and the top player in Division-II collegiate golf will be eligible to earn PGA TOUR Americas membership through PGA TOUR University starting in 2024. These enhanced performance benefits further strengthen the path to the PGA TOUR for top collegiate players as they make the transition from amateur to professional golf.

Additionally, starting in 2024, a junior or senior who wins the D-II Jack Nicklaus Award (National Player of the Year) will earn the same benefits as players who finish 11th-25th in the PGA TOUR University Ranking. This player may accept his performance benefits upon the conclusion of his collegiate career, meaning a junior who wins the D-II Jack Nicklaus Award may accept his performance benefits after his senior season.

“As PGA TOUR University continues to grow, the pipeline from collegiate golf to the PGA TOUR gets stronger,” said Executive Director of PGA TOUR University Brendan von Doehren. “The best collegiate players have shown they are ready to compete against the best in the world, and these enhancements to PGA TOUR University ensure that at least five more deserving players will start their careers as members of PGA TOUR Americas each year.”

PGA TOUR University has steadily expanded its performance benefits since its first season in 2020-21, when 15 Division-I collegiate golfers earned benefits and the No. 1 player earned Korn Ferry Tour membership. Now in its fourth season, PGA TOUR University recognizes 25 players annually, the No. 1 player earns PGA TOUR membership, underclassmen can earn PGA TOUR membership through PGA TOUR University Accelerated, and the Division-II Jack Nicklaus Award winner has the opportunity to earn performance benefits.

Stanford’s Michael Thorbjornsen is currently No. 1 in PGA TOUR University, with Georgia Tech’s Christo Lamprecht close behind at No. 2. The top-25 in this season’s PGA TOUR University Ranking will be finalized on May 27, 2024, after the final round of stroke play at the NCAA D-I National Championship. The 2022 Perfect World Tour 2 is also a part of the (Dota Pro Circuit) tournament organized by PW; This tournament will also serve as a qualifying tournament in preparation for the biggest DOTA2 event, The International.

The tournament will feature both notable and the best teams from Europe, China, Southeast Asia, North America, and South America, with a prize pool for each region amounting to $205,000 for Upper Division and $75,000 for the Lower Division.

The points acquired from this tournament will determine their qualification for the Major Event and eventually The International 2022.

Group Stage will be played in a round-robin best-of-three series.

The team that will win first place will qualify for Major playoffs and the second place will advance to the Major group stage, while the third and fourth team will be seeded to the Major wild card and all teams from first to sixth place will remain the first division for the following tour; bottom teams will be relegated to Division 2 for the next tour.

DPC NA Tour 1 Division I: Schedule, results, format, teams, where to watch

Valve’s new competitive 2022 Dota 2 season continues with the DPC NA Tour 1 Division I featuring the top eight teams from the North American (NA) region.

Following Valve’s new DPC format, DPC NA Tour 1 Division I is the first Tour of the 2021-2022 Dota 2 season. 

The road to The International 11 (TI11) for the North American (NA) region begins on November 30, 2021, with stacked teams battling one another with their updated rosters.

What is DPC NA Tour 1 Division I?

DPC NA Tour 1 Division I is the first Regional League of the 2021-2022 Dota 2 season hosted by ESL, known for hosting the ESL One series and other various online events.

The top two teams from the tournament will qualify to the first Major of the 2021-2022 Dota 2 season, while the bottom two teams will be relegated to Division II in the following Tour.

The Regional League begins from November 30, 2021, until January 22, 2022. The North American (NA) region’s matches are scheduled to take place from Tuesday to Friday.

Format of DPC NA Tour 1 Division I

All eight teams participating in the Regional League will play best-of-three matches following a single round robin format, similar to last year’s Upper Division and Lower Division competitions.

Following the cancellation of the Winter Major , Valve announced that the top four teams of each region will participate in Regional Finals for a US$100,000 prize pool. The first team will get 250 DPC points, and the second team will get 130 DPC points.

Returning to the DPC are the three NA teams that attended TI10, Evil Geniuses, Quincy Crew and Team Undying. They are joined by the region’s top teams 4Zoomers, Simply TOOBASED, and Black N Yellow, who are all from the Upper Division of the previous 2021 DPC season.

D2 Hustlers and Arkosh Gaming were the top two performing teams from the Lower Division of the last 2021 DPC season who got promoted to Division I.
