EXO announces plans for album release and world tour when Kai & Sehun return from military at their fan meeting 'One'

O n April 14, the K-pop group EXO revealed their plans for an album release and a world tour at their fan meeting titled 'One.' The album will be released following the discharge of members Kai and Sehun from their military service.

The fan meeting 'One', was held at Inspire Arena in Yeongjongdo, Incheon, twice at 2 pm and 7 pm, respectively. In the fan meeting, the leader of the group Suho stated while interacting with fans on the stage:

"This year, before winter passes, we'll bring new music and stages with the members. As soon as Kai and Sehun come back, we'll be sure to bring a new album and world tour."

EXO created a buzz on the internet following their plans for the new album release and a world tour

EXO held their exclusive fan meeting on April 14, 2024, to commemorate the 12th anniversary of their debut at the arena fully occupied by fans who kept cheering for the six members throughout the event. The six members, Suho, Xiumin, Chen, Chanyeol, Baekhyun , and D.O., attended the event, delivered memorable performances, and interacted with fans.

Meanwhile, Kai and Sehun were absent from the fan meeting due to their mandatory military service. While Kai enlisted for his duty on May 11, 2023, Sehun commenced his service on December 21, 2023.

The fandom was excited to see the six members gathered together after a long time amidst their hectic individual schedules. The group members stated at the fan meeting that they were glad to celebrate their 12th anniversary together and the silver waves that EXO-L created many times.

EXO stated that the synergy felt good when the members gathered together and revealed their upcoming plans at the meeting. They commented, as translated by X user @EXOnaverTrans:

"We are happy to be able to celebrate our 12th anniversary together, and we are happy to see the silver waves that EXO-L creates for the first time in a long time."

The members further continued,

"Although the members are doing well in their solo activities, EXO's synergy is really good when we come together like this. We are continuously planning our next plans, and we will come back with new music and performances, so please look forward to it. Let's love unlimitedly!"

The leader of the group Suho confirmed that they would proceed on a world tour following the discharge of Kai and Sehun from their mandatory military service on February 10, 2025, and September 20, 2025, respectively.

EXO also hinted that they would release music together in the winter of 2024, followed by some group activities for the promotional schedule of the upcoming album .

The fans took to social media as soon as the news broke out. They shared several snippets expressing their desire to attend the world tour soon and expected an EXO's winter album in 2024. The fandom is excited about their possible comeback and is determined to save up money for the world tour in 2025.

Meanwhile, the group's fan meeting 'ONE' was broadcast live through platforms, including Beyond, Weverse Live , and LAN Cable, in over 103 regions showcasing the worldwide influence of the group. The locations include Mexico, Japan, the United States, Thailand, Indonesia, Taiwan, the Phillippines, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and others.

The group performed a series of songs from their setlist, including Hear Me Out, XOXO, Universe, Peter Pan, First Snow, Obsession, Tempo, Ko Ko Bop, Monster, Gravity, Your Gesture, Forever, Gravity, Cream Soda, Butterfly Effect, Forever, 3.6.5 and others.

The fans at the meeting continued to cheer the group members with thoughtful gestures. They were dressed in light blue dress code, waved their lighsticks, and encouraged the members with cheers. The group also delivered an emotional encore performance on I Will Protect You to showcase their gratitude to fans.

In recent news, the group released their seventh album, Exist , on July 10, 2023, through SM Entertainment. It was the first album by the group to be promoted as a seven-member group as Kai had enlisted for his mandatory military service. However, the album consists of vocal performances from eight members, including him. It featured nine tracks such as Cream Soda, Regrets It, Hear Me Out, Private Party, Cinderella, No Makeup, Love Fool, Another Day, and Let Me In.

EXO-Ls are excited about the new album and the world tour and are eagerly awaiting the return of Kai and Sehun from their mandatory military service.

As WayV completes their WayV FANMEETING TOUR in Asia, they’re planning to tour overseas.

The company’s newest girl group aespa will also be holding their first world tour.

Non-World Tours

1. nct dream.

Rather than a full world tour, NCT DREAM has been touring in Asia and will move on to the US and Europe for THE DREAM SHOW2: In A DREAM .

2. Taeyeon (Girls’ Generation)

Taeyeon will be holding a solo tour in Asia.

Fan Meetings

EXO joins the growing number of K-pop acts making their way to the United States in upcoming months with the news of three North American concert stops in April.

The group will make bring their EXO PLANET #3 -The EXO’rdium concert series to cities on both the east and west coasts, as well as a previously announced stop in Mexico. EXO previously toured the U.S. last year, with stops in four cities around the country.

On Thursday, concert promoter MyMusicTaste announced concerts in New Jersey and California in response to demand from EXO’s fans. The North American leg of their tour will begin April 25 at the Prudential Center in Newark then take the boy band to a previously announced stop in Mexico City on April 27. The North American leg of The EXO’rdium tour will end at Los Angeles’ The Forum on April 28.

With a fervent fanbase, EXO is one of K-pop’s most popular boy bands thanks to their sleek dance pop songs and their multifaceted bandmembers, many of whom simultaneously pursue solo careers as singers, actors and variety show personalities. The group has moved an enormous amount of albums since their debut in 2012, and has seen more than 10 singles appear in the top five spots of the World Digital Songs Sales chart.

The band premiered EXO-CBX, a subunit featuring members Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin, in October with the release of their World Albums chart-topping Hey Mama! EP.

The obvious messages that are presented in the songs make them some of the most inspiring and creative pieces that have ever been produced. In conclusion, EXO's concerts aren't only dancing and singing, they are filled with strong messages aside from the absolute fun one experiences there.

It was a great show, but I wish I had gotten a seat instead of pit tickets, because people don't know how to behave and not push and be orderly. And standing for 5-6 hours was bad on my every thing.so my first concert ever was EXO and I'm excited to have experienced it with them. But I wish it had been a more happy memorable experience.

Ahead of EXO's much-awaited comeback in 2023, Kai will impress the music industry first with his upcoming solo release!

'World-Class Performer' EXO Kai To Drop New Solo Album in March 2023

EXO's main dancer Kai is making a comeback as a solo singer!

According to a report by SPOTV News  on February 14, Kai will release a new album as a soloist in mid-March.

It is the first time in a year and four months that Kai will make his return to the music scene since his second mini-album, "Peaches," released in November 2021.

With this, fans are already excited about the music he will show after cementing popularity with his hits "Mmmh" and "Peaches."

While Kai was already massively popular as an EXO member, he solidified his solo power with releases different from EXO's songs.

EXO is known for its knife-like dance choreos that require too much energy. Kai, meanwhile, introduced dreamy yet sensuous music with smooth and fluid choreographies.

With his multiple feats and achievements as a soloist in a short span, Kai has been named by multiple Korean media outlets as an "irreplaceable" idol and "world-class performer."

As soon as the news spread among K-pop fans, EXO-Ls and Erigoms (Kai fans) rejoiced on social media platforms. His name KAI and the phrase, "KAI_IS_COMING," quickly made it on top of Twitter trends.

Meanwhile, EXO Kai has recently been active in Japan, including his first solo live event, the "Kai Japan Special Live 2023." This was held in three cities, Nagoya, Osaka, and Yokohama, Japan, from January 28 to 31.

EXO Comeback 2023: Supergroup To Have Fan Meeting in April, Full Comeback in Spring

On the other hand, EXO is preparing for a full comeback with Baekhyun, who was recently discharged from the military.

On Feb. 8, SM Entertainment announced EXO's 11th-anniversary fan meeting, which will be held from April 8 to 9 at KSPO Dome.

The "2023 EXO FANMEETING "EXO' CLOCK" will be the first time that the group will gather as a whole once again since their military enlistment journey started in 2019.

In addition to this year's fan meeting, EXO will continue its active activities such as doing a group comeback and Baekhyun's solo concert.

Regarding EXO's return as a full OT8/OT9, there are no details yet but Hi Investment & Securities initially hinted that the release date is expected to be after spring, speculated to be particularly in June.

In the same month, various sources claimed that an "EXO World Tour 2023" will happen before Kai and Sehun's enlistment, and the timing will be during the promotion of their new album.

Insiders are claiming that the group will possibly have multiple tours in Asia, the U.S. Europe and a special tour leg in Japan.

The new dates for Asia are as follows: February 2nd, February 3rd, March 2nd, and March 9th in 2024. The venues for these shows have also been announced. Chanyeol’s previous shows had him perform in Taipei, Bangkok, and Hong Kong, and now there are additional dates for the Asian leg.

The newly announced Asian dates for The Eternity Tour of Chanyeol are scheduled to take place in venues in Macau, China on February 2nd and 3rd, 2024. Additionally, on March 2nd, 2024, Chanyeol will be performing in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

On March 9th, 2024, the EXO star will move on to perform in Jakarta, Indonesia. Meanwhile, fans are curious to know when and where they can grab their tickets for Chanyeol’s The Eternity Tour, as tickets remain in high demand.

Today (December 27), Wave to Earth announced that they will be performing a show at the Uptown Park Summarecon Mall Serpong, in Jakarta, Indonesia on February 29, 2024. It’ll be part of the band’s ongoing ‘The First Era’ tour.

Tickets for the newly added show will go on sale on January 9 at 1pm local time via the official Wave to Earth Indonesia website . They are available in three tiers: CAT 2 at IDR658,000; CAT1 at IDR858,000; VIP Package at IDR2,388,000.

Notably, the VIP package will include a CAT1 ticket with access to a special line for venue entrance, a meet and greet with Wave to Earth, a photograph with the band, a poster signing session and more.

In late-December 2023, the band added a second date to the Manila stop of their ‘The First Era’ tour due to “demand” after the first date sold out. Tickets for the new stop are on sale now.

Last month, Wave to Earth also announced a Singapore stop of their ‘The First Era’ tour . It’ll take place on 4 March, 2024 at the Capitol Theatre, with tickets on sale now.

In other touring news, South Korean singer-actor  Cha Eun-woo  has announced the dates and cities for his upcoming ‘Just One 10 Minute: Mystery Elevator’ solo tour of Asia in 2024 .

Elsewhere, EXO  member  Chanyeol has added new dates to his ‘The Eternity’ fancon tour in Asia , with shows in Macau, Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta in the first quarter of 2024.
