Fresh sea air, innovative local cuisine, spectacular coastal views, more than 50 boutique cellar doors and world class golf courses; Mornington Peninsula is the perfect place to soak up the relaxed alfresco lifestyle.  Discover it on one of our Mornington Peninsula golf packages.

The Mornington Peninsula has 15 golf clubs with 20 outstanding courses, 3 of them in Australia’s Top 10 plus another 6 in the Top 100.  There’s a fantastic variety of courses to play for beginners to experts.  It’s no wonder this extraordinary region has been likened by many leading golf writers and top players to California’s Monterey, Scotland’s Fife and the Hamptons near New York. When you’re not playing golf, explore the galleries, spas and cafes in breezy seaside villages, cool off with an afternoon on the beach, or escape to the hinterland for gourmet delights at boutique wineries.  The Mornington Peninsula vineyards are famous – but there are now new and exciting tastes to enjoy at craft breweries, cider makers and distilleries.

SUGGESTED GOLF CLUBS

The National Golf Club is a private members golf club at Cape Schanck on the Mornington Peninsula.  The Old Course, the most scenic of the 3 courses at The National, is one of the true tests of golf.  Built on a hillside 80 metres above sea level, it is a dramatically beautiful course crafted through the rugged coastal tea-tree with unsurpassed views of the coastline.

The Dunes Golf Links is set on 300 acres of gently rolling sand dunes, and maintains the highest standards of course maintenance and customer services.  The Dunes achieves the very difficult objective of being a challenge to the low marker without being a monster for the higher handicapped golfer. Accolades include being ranked among the Top 20 courses in Australia for the past 15 years. The Dunes also consistently ranks as Victoria’s #1 public access course and among the Top 3 public access courses Australia wide.

St Andrews Beach Golf Club ,  metres from the thundering surf of Gunnamatta Beach originally opened as an exclusive members course and debuted as the 9th best course in Australia in 2006. It is built on a stunning piece of land that lends itself perfectly to the tradition of the famous links courses of Britain and Ireland and can be compared favourably with the courses in Melbourne’s famous sandbelt region. Internationally renowned golf course architect, Tom Doak is the designer of this classic 18 hole links style course and his aim was to create one of the best golf courses in the world.

Moonah Links Golf Club – the Legends Course is a loop of 18 holes that generally follow the valleys through a variety of landscapes ranging from ancient Moonah woodlands to open links land. The fairways are generous and the putting surfaces gentle, but the bunkering style is bold and wild in appearance.  The Legends Course boasts panoramic views from raised tees and is a friendly golfing experience for players of all ages and abilities!

Recent Client Testimonials

Just a note to thank you for setting up the trip to the Mornington Peninsula. It was a great experience, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Sorry about the change in plans on the last week, but my wife found the Moonah Links Open course just too tough for her, and liked the Legends course. As it was unavailable to play, we opted for the Eagle Ridge course which we found to be great. Hope that didn’t cause you too much paperwork.

Thanks again for your help in organizing everything.

Simon, thanks, these are great. My compliments for pulling together a great trip. It all went off like clockwork and the venues were fantastic.

Bob Kearney, North Attleboro, MA 02760 USA

Just a quick note to thank you for your efforts in setting up our golf trip to the Mornington Peninsula. Everything ran smoothly as usual and there were no hiccups at all. Every one of our group of 14 had a ball and can’t wait for next year.

David Morgan

Just wanted to provide you with some feedback regarding the golf weekend away. We all had a sensational time, the accommodation was great and everything was organised exceptionally well.

Thanks again, we will definitely be re-booking another weekend away via yourself in the not to distant future…

Both courses have hosted national championships over the past two decades of its existence, and it is the best two-course golf resort on the Mornington Peninsula. The golf courses themselves were designed by legends in the sport, with Peter Thomson contributing to the Legends Course and Peter Thomson & Ross Perrett designing the famous Open Course which hosted the Australian Open in 2003 and 2005.

Accommodation at Moonah Links Resort are designed to complement the natural surroundings. The Open Rooms, where you’ll stay, offer a comfortable retreat after a day exploring the Peninsula’s historical landmarks or partaking in a round of golf. The architecture emphasizes the connection to the outdoors, with private balconies or patios offering tranquility overlooking the first fairway of the Open Course.

The Mornington Peninsula itself carries a storied past, from Indigenous communities to European settlement. Today, guests can explore nearby historical sites, vineyards, and coastal trails, gaining a deeper appreciation for the region’s cultural and environmental heritage. This Resort sits at the end of the Mornington Peninsula Freeway, and stands as a gateway to popular amenities including Alba Thermal Springs, the seaside town of Sorrento, breweries like St Andrews Beach Breweries, and endless coastlines along the Southern Peninsula.

Moonah Links Resort invites guests to not only enjoy world-class golf but also to immerse themselves in the unique history and natural beauty of the Mornington Peninsula.
