Neighbours farewell tour announces official details and venues

A little bit of Ramsay Street to the West End.

The Aussie soap's stars were supposed to make it to London's West End with the Neighbours: Live in Conversation show in 2020, but the date was postponed due to the pandemic.

Neighbours ' production company FremantleMedia and live events company Maple Tree Entertainment have announced that the original show has been rescheduled, adding a further seven dates throughout the UK for March 2023.

The tour dates include:

• Monday, March 6 - Manchester Bridgewater Hall
• Wednesday, March 8 - Edinburgh Festival Theatre
• Friday, March 10 - Glasgow Royal Concert Hall
• Sunday, March 12 - Cardiff St David’s Hall
• Tuesday, March 14 - London Palladium Theatre
• Thursday, March 16 - Birmingham Symphony Hall
• Saturday, March 17 - Brighton Centre
• Sunday, March 18 - Southampton Mayflower Theatre

Tickets will be going on general sale at all venues on June 17, with a pre-sale on June 15.

"When Neighbours: Live in Conversation sold out within 24 hours, we knew that the love for the show could see it tour the UK, and there is no better time to take to the road than to mark the end and to honour its rich and lengthy history," Dean Elliott, producer at Maple Tree Entertainment, said in a statement.

"We can't wait to put on a show that the fans will love and deserve."

There will be meet-and-greet opportunities and a Q&A section planned at each location.

In March, Neighbours was cancelled after Channel 5 dropped it from its schedule and the soap failed to secure new funding options.

Now a farewell tour, the theatre production will take place following the beloved soap's last-ever episode, set to air on August 1 this year.

Ahead of the one-hour finale, the soap is gearing up to tie up some loose ends and welcome back some well-known faces to Ramsay Street.

Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 6pm on Channel 5 and streams on My5. In Australia, the show airs Mondays to Thursdays at 6.30pm on 10 Peach and streams on 10 Play.

Neighbours UK tour: Dates, venues, tickets, and what to expect

The moment fans of  Australian soap opera  Neighbours have been dreading has arrived – as the last ever episode of the show airs after 37 years on screen.

The soap, which was officially axed in March 2022, is bowing out with a star-studded finale which sees former cast members including Kylie Minogue , Jason Donovan, Natalie Imbruglia and  Margot Robbie returning.

But it’s not quite goodbye – although Neighbours may be leaving our screens, fans will have one final chance to immerse themselves in all things Ramsay Street-related as the Neighbours Farewell tour reaches these shores next year.

The live show will be at venues all over the country – but when is it taking place, and can you still get tickets?

Here’s all you need to know…

When is the Neighbours Farewell Tour?

The tour will reach the UK in March 2023 – with the dates and venues as follows:

• Sunday March 5 o2 City Hall, Newcastle
• Monday March 6 The Bridgwater Hall, Manchester
• Wednesday March 8 Festival Theatre, Edinburgh
• Friday March 10 Royal Concert Hall, Glasgow
• Sunday March 12 St David’s Hall, Cardiff
• Tuesday March 14 London Palladium
• Thursday March 16 Symphony Hall, Birmingham
• Saturday March 18 Brighton Centre

Can you still get tickets for the Neighbours’ Farewell Tour?

Here’s the bad news – almost all of the dates on the tour are sold out.

According to SeeTickets, the only venue which has tickets remaining is the O2 City Hall in Newcastle, on the opening night of March 5.

However, you can still join the waiting list for tickets, to be notified when they become available.

What will happen on the Neighbours Farewell tour?

According to the official synopsis: ‘This celebration will give Neighbours fans a chance to reminisce on your favourite Erinsborough moments from across the last 37 years.

‘Join us as we look back at some of the footage from across the years, enjoy never before heard stories from the cast as they are interviewed live on the stage, plus surprises and a q&a session at the end.

It is described as ‘the perfect way to say ‘farewell’ to one of Britain’s most-loved soaps’.

So far the cast members who have been announced for the tour include Jackie Woodburne (Susan Kennedy), Alan Fletcher (Karl Kennedy), April Rose Pengilly (Chloe Brennan), and Ryan Moloney (Toadie Rebecchi).

More stars could well be confirmed in the run-up to the tour.

After 37 years, the beloved soap is finally coming to an end – but there's still time to tour the studio backlots

In its incredible 37 years run, Aussie soap  Neighbours  has well and truly made its way into the hearts of Australians (and a few million Brits). Sadly, the Aussie soap is finally coming to an end and the final episode will go live on August 1. If you'll be among those in mourning, then get one last taste of Ramsay Street by booking in for one of the final sessions of the Official Neighbours Tour. 

The tour takes you to suburban Melbourne, where you'll be taken on an exclusive behind the scenes tour of the exterior sets. Explore Lassiter's Complex (including Lassiter's Lake), Fitzgerald Motors, the Waterhole, Harold's Cafe and the famous houses. Your tour guide will provide you with plenty of gossip, insider information and tricks of the trade involved in filming the show. 

The tour is 3.5 hours in duration and will run every Saturday until July 30, with a final tour taking place on July 31, the day before the final episode airs. Tickets are $105 for children and $115 for adults aged 16 and older.

With the residents of Ramsay Street finally about to head off into the sunset after more than 30 years, fans of the long-running soap can say goodbye to the cast in style at a one-night event in Cardiff that's part of a special national tour.

Cameras finished rolling on the set of the much-loved Aussie soap Neighbours last week after 37 years.

But before British fans say goodbye to the residents of Ramsay Street, they've got one last chance to say 'g'day', with some of the cast of the long-running show coming on a nationwide tour of the UK.

Tickets go on sale on Friday, June 17 for the events , which are being held in theatres in cities including Cardiff, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Birmingham, London and Southampton.

The events, which are organised in conjunction with Freemantle, the production company behind the show, will include question and answer sessions and the opportunity for meet and greets with members of the cast, although exact details on who is coming aren't available yet.

A pre-sale for the shows sold out immediately, but tickets are available from 10am on June 17 from SeeTickets here .

Producer Dean Elliott said in a statement: "When Neighbours: Live in Conversation sold out within 24 hours, we knew that the love for the show could see it tour the UK, and there is no better time to take to the road than to mark the end and to honour its rich and lengthy history."

Brand new Neighbours tour sees the soap's best-loved stars coming to the UK

Filming on the Neighbours finishes tomorrow but the story isn’t over for fans of the iconic soap, as some of its best loved stars will be touring the UK in March 2023.

Following the sad news earlier this year that Neighbours was set to be axed , plans for a UK cast tour has now been confirmed for next spring.

A Neighbours: Live in Conversation night at London’s Adelphi Theatre had to be postponed in 2020 during the pandemic but it’s now been renamed as Neighbours: The Farewell Tour , with an additional seven dates around the country. 

The London performance will see the show move from the Adelphi to the London Palladium, where the Neighbours cast once appeared in front of the Queen Mother and Princess Margaret at the 1988 Royal Variety Performance.

The tour promises to treat fans to ‘Never-before-heard stories from Erinsborough’ with an opportunity for an audience Q&A and even a chance to meet the stars in person.

Dean Elliot, producer at Maple Tree Entertainment (who have collaborated with Freemantle Australia on the shows) commented:

“When Neighbours: Live in Conversation sold out within 24 hours, we knew that the love for the show could see it tour the UK, and there is no better time to take to the road than to mark the end and to honour its rich and lengthy history… We can’t wait to put on a show that the fans will love and deserve.”

A special hour-long episode to mark the last ever Neighbours will be aired on Monday 1 August.

Producers have revealed there will be a final month-long celebration of the show that will see some of Neighbours best-loved characters returning , including Ian Smith as Harold Bishop, Guy Pearce as Mike Young and Jason Donovan and Kyle Minogue as Scott and Charlene Robinson .

Neighbours ’ Executive Producer, Jason Herbison, has promised:

“Whether the eighties, nineties, naughties or teens is your favourite decade, we will be delivering something for everyone as Neighbours draws to a close.  Alongside the current cast we will be celebrating the most memorable characters from across many eras, with a few surprises up our sleeve.”

Tickets for Neighbours: The Farewell Tour go on general sale on Friday 17 June, with a pre-sale on Wednesday 15 June for dates at Manchester Bridgewater Hall, Edinburgh Festival Theatre, Glasgow Royal Concert hall, Cardiff St David’s hall, London Palladium Theatre, Birmingham Symphony Hall, Brighton Centre, and Southampton Mayflower Theatre.

I really enjoyed my Neighbours tour and our Guide Steve I think, was excellent, very informative and a great sense of humour and fun!

Had a fabulous trip to Ramsay street and the neighbours studio. Chris our guide was fab and so informative. Unfortunately didn't get a meet and greet but did get a hello from Toadie. Was just such an amazing experience being there and seeing the sets, photos etc. Highly recommend if you are a Neighbours fan.

Really good tour with guides that were both knowledgeable and friendly. We had a really great day and saw a few of the cast which was the highlight for my wife. Scott and Dean were brilliant and funny guides.

My daughter and I really enjoyed our tour of Ramsay Street. We had a really good tour guide called Kellie. She made it fun. The tour of the sets was amazing. I just wish we could have met some of the cast. Unfortunately they don’t work on weekends. Oh well, maybe next time we will take a tour during the week.

Good tour. The only thing I did not like was the on and off of the tour bus which I felt was unnecessary and a little frustrating.

Booked this trip 9months ago as we were doing an escorted tour of Australia and this was the only free day we had in Melbourne even though it was the day after we arrived at 10pm the night before. The pick up point was easy to find and the minibus arrived on time. The tour guide Cloe was excellent one all her Neighbours history and could answer any questions put to her. As it was a Saturday the actual studios were closed and there was no actor to meet, however this was more than offset by having unrestricted access to all of the outside sets including visits to Paul's back yard, the swimming pool in the boy's house, Sonya's nursery, Fitzgerald motors, the tram and Lassiter's complex. After the studio's we went to the actual Ramsay Street where we saw all of the houses form the outside. This is a fantastic tour and a must for any Neighbours fan. Whenever I watch it now all the memories come flooding back. Thank you again Cloe for such a memorable tour.

Picked up at allocated pick up on time, guide/ driver was excellent, gave lots of information about the trip and Melbourne. Studios are a 40 minute drive from Melbourne.
