The tour operator Northeast arranged our tour in a very phased manner taking care of itinerary, the Chauffeur was always on time with very clean vehicles. The Hotel Alpine Retreat was very good with excellent food and staff. Would thank the operator was this lovely arrangement, it's worth the service rendered.

Sikkim and West Bengal trip for 15 days

When my husband worked out such a long trip, I was wondering if it would be worthwhile. I need not have worried. Mr Vikash and Mr Mantosh, worked out a wonderful itinerary with good hotels, drivers and best of all , gave perfect advice for food and sight seeing. The drivers too were well informed and helpful. 7 Day Tour of Darjeeling & Gangtok

We, family of 9, went on a 7 day’s tour to Darjeeling & Gangtok. This tour was arranged by North East Tours represented by Mr. Kamesh. 1. Kamesh ji have us a very nice itenary covering all the key places. The itenary was nicely spaced out always dropping us back in the hotel by 4:30 pm which gave us time to relax. Kamesh ji was always available for us through out the trip on both phone and wats app which was very helpful. 2. Hotels: The hotel provided in Darjeeling “Udaan Himalayan Suites” was the best we have ever stayed in. Rooms, food with live quality music were too good. We were surprised that such a big hotel was purely vegetarian. Hotel staff were too cordial and ever smiling. The hotel provided at Gangtok was above average. 3.Drivers: we had around 5-6 drivers. All of them were well behaved and soft spoken which was not the case with our previous trips. They were well aware of all the routes. 4. Other agents: All the other agents were always in touch with us and ensured that that was no delays or minimal delays which extremely good. 5. I will definitely recommend North East Tours to all my friends.

We booked our holidays thru northeast tours and its one mr.kameshwar. Once we made the payment , our point of contact was no more kameshwar but some nishant and mantosh. we were facing issues of badly maintained cars / drivers coming late , unprofessional and fatigued drivers etc but request to resolve was met with absolute denial by kameshwar and we where pointed out of the fine print language in the offer. Wonder if this agency is into service sector or legal service. Absolutely unprofessional and definitely non reliable ...

Every guest is precious for us. That is why we have Sales team like Kameshwar, Salim, Vicky, Sandeep etc n dedicated service team like Mantosh, Nashant, Sonam etc. This is why your point of contact after arriving here was Mr. Mantosh. We understand that this region has some unique rules other than any other hill station of India. Likely or unlikely we should respect every state / local rules. After a long pandemic period, we have seen such a huge rush of tourist at all destinations that every car n hotels are sold out. Even in such a rush time, we manage to satisfy almost our every guest. But there are some things which are beyond our / human control like traffic, mechanical issue , weather etc. However I would like to request to every review reader, Please once read the notes mentioned in our quotation. It will help you to understand the difference between this region and other hill stations of India. And our every person from our team will help you to understand every sentence mentioned in the itinerary also. This will help to build a good relation between us and make your tour more smoother. Lastly I would like to clear that please do not threat us to damage our image in social or public platform because no one get benefits of this and then we will work more professionally and according to itinerary only. But yes we do extra only for the person who is nice and respect others. Respected sir you know that 01 lady from your group abused our driver so badly that he left the service n return to Gangtok from Pelling at late night. Some how we manage another car by late night as next day you have to drop at airport. We will not accept this and condemned it strongly.

We are kind of travel freaks and we always prefer to book everything by ourselves. But this time we were only 2 people and had managed to get last minute train tickets to njp. So we thought of North Sikkim trip(Gangtok,lachen, gurudongmer, lachung,Gangtok) and to make everything easy at the last minute we opted for this travel agency based on their reviews. They provided very good deal, good hotels with food packages at great locations, provided good cab service, very good driver and all other things were neat and hassle free. Mr. Kameswar was always very helpful and responsive. Both me and my husband are really happy with their service and will want to book our next trip with them going forward. The only thing which I felt could have been better, was to let us know in advance, regarding the room heater policy in lachen and lachung from his end. Actually due to Sikkim govt's rule, no hotels are permitted to provide room heater, electric kettle in lachen, lachung. But we did not know this in advance. Knowing the same, we could have made some alternative arrangements on our own. Other than that everything was perfect. Hope to book further trips with them.

Good vacation

We had a package for 2 people in Darjeeling and Gangtok. The overall experience is good as our coordinator Kameshwar was quite responsive and helping. The only issue we faced was with the first hotel which is Udaan Himalayan Suites in Darjeeling. Since it was relatively new, the staff seemed to be pretty untrained and the lift wasn't working for almost most of our stay. Rest northeast tour provided a good service and we can definitely choose them for an amazing experience in the northeast

Our agent Kameshwar Ray arranged everything exactly as mentioned in the itinerary for a group of four. Throughout the trip (8nights-9days Sikkim+Darjeeling), the agent was in contact and responded immediately whenever we needed assistance. Except for the hotel "Blue Pine" Lachen(try avoiding his hotel), we had well-maintained rooms with hot water and tasty food everywhere. Especially for vegetarians, I suggest pre-booking breakfast and dinner.

I am more or less satisfied with the trip arranged by Northeast Tour. I would like to elaborate my experience. We visited Darjeeling(Anutri Hill Resort-- Awesome hotel,location is too good,entire kanchangangha range could be seen from the hotel room,happy with their hospitality,staffs are polite and helpful, food qualitu could be better-- specially the bengali cuisine is not upto the mark where as we tried their starters-- chicken pakora and Chilly baby corn both are tasty co),Sittong(Bisesh homestay-- sumptuous food,nice staffs,enjoyed bon fire,ambiance, awsome view, one of the best homestays I have even stayed at),Lamahatta(worth remembering because of their hospitality.Awsome food,hotel,ambiance,the place is inside the jungle,enjoyed a lot) and Charkhole(i am not at all satisfied with the hotel, staffs,food nothing is as per my expectations..Filthy washroom, dirty dinner area. Room is also another disappointment for us). Our tour manager Mr. Kameshwar has arranged and made our tour memorable. He has always been reachable whenever there is any urgency and humble). Last one thing, our driver was a good guy with appropriate driving skill although he was not familiar with the hotels we visited and the routs. We faced a lot of challenges because of that.As per my understanding, it is always advisable to appoint a local driver. Otherwise all were as per our expectations.

All drivers right from Mr. Tashi who picked us from Bagdogra airport to Darjeeling to Mr. Aakash from Gangtok who dropped us at Airport very timely (except one driver who came for Darjeeling city tour) are very good. Good vehicles. Hotels are also good. They provided pure veg food accordingly to our need. Of course, Gangtok being a capital city of Sikkim is much more good than Darjeeling.

I booked a family trip to Darjeeling-Gangtok for 4N/5D. The initial feel of the travel seemed impressive. we got cars on time and average hotels. The drivers were okay however we did not have enough sight seeing throughout the entire package. The drivers did not have iterinary so they showed us whatever they wanted (skipped a few things as per his wish). Later the blame was on us that we did not inform the co-ordinators. The places are very beautiful and worth a visit once. But I feel instead of taking a package from agents if we book the tickets and hotels online and take any local taxi which costs 1.5-2k for entire day sight seeing its more worth the money and you will be satisfied at the end of the trip. We spend so much and only once so make the most of it. wanted to give 2.8 stars but 3 stars only for the memories we had !

Dear ma'am day before your travelling our tour coordinator (Mantosh Ji) from our office requested you to show the Itinerary to the driver to avoid any miscommunication. We have cross checked and found that last day you had half day Gangtok city tour you call driver earlier before sightseeing place opening time . Due to early start 01-02 places was not opened. Ma'am you have suggested others that they will get Local taxis for 1.5-2 k for entire day this is totally wrong.This will misguide the people travelling to this region. If you have any confusion you can call to Sikkim Tourism for clarification regarding taxis fare.There are permission formalities which you have not mentioned.This is the major part of your travelling.For certain places you need to make permission which is not possible for all traveler to be done within their travelling time. Regarding Hotels ma'am you took the budget package beside this Deluxe rooms were provided to you all places. Once again thank you for giving your valuable time for rating us .

Organized a family package tour through Northeast tours (Mr Kameshwar) to Gangtok for 4 nights. The itinerary suggested by them was good. Hotel was neat and clean. Adhered to the schedule and also accommodated some additional request later on.Vehicles were comfortable. Overall, the trip was very enjoyable and the Service was professional and good.

I have taken tour package for 5-6 days for Shillong and Gauhati. Stay at Hotel in Shillong was very good. (Hotel Saad). The service provided by this hotel was very good specially breakfast and behaviour of hotel staff. However it was horrible at Gauhati (Hotel Spectrum Residency ). They were not able to provide breakfast though I have paid for that. Their overall service was poor. They were not curtious with the customers. Location of the hotel was also not good. Driver and Sedan car provided exclusively for me and they were both good. The rate provided by this tour operator is too costly and it can be easily managed with lesser expense if arrange by own.

Once they take the money they will not give any response,and on calling the them they say that there office is closed.they will not arrange any taxis. They give disgusting hotels and you will get all kinds of deseases staying in them. The reviews written on the page are all fake and a very irresponsible travel agency. Sain Resort Hotel - I will never consider again !!!

We took a package to visit Darjeeling with Northeast tour. Everything was superb except for the Sain Resort Hotel. Our agent from Northeast tour (Kameshwa Prasad) was excellent in all aspects and the car & the driver was good but when it comes to the accommodation it was a disaster!! We stayed there for 4 night and 5 days and paid top money for it, it was supposed to be a good one! We prepaid for dinner and breakfast. For breakfast, every morning is the same and very limited choices with no fresh juice. For dinner, there were the only two choices 1) fish and 2) chicken every day. Quality of the food was very poor and they did not have basic items like Coca Cola, lemon etc. Gym: in the brochure, they advertised gym and spa facilities but in reality none of them was ready and I was told that they will be ready in few weeks time! I was very disappointed about that. We had to change the room because the water pressure was very low and we were unable to take shower. They did not have any ironing board and iron was dirty, I spoiled one of my shirts while ironing. When I asked for a replacement iron, I was told that they have only one iron available in the hotel. Internet connection was very unstable and almost unusable. Apart from that, the view was superb, the bed was comfortable and the room was very good size. My suggestion to the travellers: Please ask your agent if they know about the current condition of the hotel in detail before they recommend or book it for you.

Yester November, 2017 We visited Guwahati, Kamakhya temple, Shillong, Cherrapunji, Gangtok, Nathula Pass, Darjeeling & Tiger Hill from Rafiganj (Aurangabad, Bihar) with 5 family members. We planned the tour & got scrutinised by the Northeast Tour agency.I personally asked lots of queries about the tour to ease my travel & these things had continued for over 6 months. My travel agent Mr. Vikash cooperated me & answered all the questionnaires, erased all the doubts without getting bored. We chat on WhatsApp too. My journey was ever best tour by a travel agency within India. We got comfortable cabs, friendly drivers, awesome hotels and above all, alluring & mouthwatering foods for vegetarians & nonvegeterians both types of family members. I again consulted him to arrange my this year's proposed tour for Himachal Pradesh but sorry to say that they are arranging only Northeastern India & Bhutan. I request them heartly to expand their agency to become a Pan Indian Travel Agency so We could ask them for anywhere in India. End of May 2017 we had 7N/8D Darjeeling and sikkim family holidays with North East tours. The NE people were very co-ordeal and supportive. The overall Travel arrangements were good. The driving was safe and punctual. Hotels at Pelling, Lachung and Gangtok were fine. Darjeeling and one hotel at Gangtok was located in conjusted area and the food, rooms was not so good. The quote given by the Northeast tour was reasonable compared to the Bangalore tour operators. Have booked 5 nights and 6 days with Northeast tour, against the wishes of my family . They all said, am taking a risk. We four landed in Bagdogra on 12th March, were will received by Northeast person and our tour began. Northeast tour people were very efficient in arranging right hotels, tours and transport. Vikas Gupta was very good at planning the tour and reverts in no time. Manthosh is too good in coordinating with guest on daily basis, and taking care of the guests. Both these people are assets to the organization. My family enjoyed the tour, will remember this tour forever. Will not hesitate to recommend Northeast tour for my friends and people.

Our trip was really good. The only thing that went wrong were the hotels. We had asked the agent to book suite room in 3star hotel but he provided us deluxe hotels with just 4 beds. When we spoke to the agent he was arguing that we selected the hotels.He was not ready to listen to us and he was blaming us for the hotels. Before booking the tour he had given us 2 quotations with different hotels and we chose the one with the highest price.He said that the hotels were very nice. Despite of paying so much we were not satisfied with the hotels. As we didnt like the hotels we wanted to change it , but when we asked the tour agent to cancel the hotels he was like that wont be possible and u need to pay for the extra cancellation fee. We had lachen in our itinerary but due to snowfall it was closed and we couldnt go. The agent had informed us b4 abt this but he didnt reduce any amount. The cars were ok. Remaining part of the tour was well organised. The drivers were good and used to come on time. No isuues with that. Main problem was hotel. Overall we had a grt time with family and enjoyed our tour. Just one request to the agent, try to listen to the customer and solve their problem instead of blaming them for everything. And its better to go there and do spot booking instead of prebooking..

I used your services for booking a taxi for one night & 2 days trip from Silliguri to Kalimpong and back with Northeast Tour. I am sorry to say that I had a very disappointing and scary experience. The driver reached our pick up point 1 hour late in the morning. Throughout the trip, the driver was very rude to us. We complained about driver's behavior to Northeast Tour. After knowing about the complaint, the driver intentionally tried to irritate us more. In the afternoon we asked the driver to drop us in the market for lunch. We asked him to pick us back after 1 hour but after 1 hour, he was nowhere to be found. When we tried calling him, he disconnected our calls. We then called him from an unknown number and not to our surprise, he picked up the call. We asked him to come & pick us up, he told us that he will pick us up after half an hour. So we decided to take a small walk in that area. We had just walked some distance and to our surprise, we saw the driver driving the car and some unknown person was sitting in it. We tried to call the driver again, but again he disconnected our phone. I started running after his car and finally caught hold of him. As soon as the car stopped, the unknown person ran away from the car. Overall, I have never felt so unsafe in any of my previous journeys. I think it was a big mistake to take your services and book taxi with Northeast Tour. They also demanded 100% payment even before starting the trip. Dissatisfied customer Manju Jindal

It was pleasant stay at darjeeling and gangtok but very poor at namchi. there was no electricity for more than 30 hrs other tourists shifted their rooms within 2-3 Hrs but no support was provided us from NorthEast tours that was pathetic. rest all was fine.

Beautiful trip - In sikkim our itenary covered lachen, lachung, tsongolake, nathula pass, pelling and gangtok day tour. We were only girls travelling and were had to book with a good tour operator. We scannned through many itenaries, tour agents, reviews and finally chose northeast tours. We got a very good deal. Vikash patiently answered all the doubts we had at all hours before the trip. He was very friendly and always ready to help. He personally came to receive us at the airport and give us our hotel vouchers with some snacks and water in the car. Our entire trip was very well planned, very well cordinated. All the drivers were very friendly and pros at driving. Now coming to the hotels. All the hotels were good except the one at Gangtok. The gangtok hotel was highly ok. We had to actually complain to get the staff working but once we did, the services were much better and so were the rooms. The hotel (snow view) at pelling was the best with the best food. We enjoyed every meal we ate. Highly recommended. The hotel at lachen was hotel view point - the staff was very friendly- food was good and view was breath taking-i would recommend this too. The hotel at lachung was fortuna-they greated us with very tasty bhajias- friendly staff and heaters to save us from the cold. All the hotels were very good. Gangtok hotel was ok. Overall northeast tours gave us a very good quote with good hotels. We used to get a call from northeast tours everyday to ask how our day was and to brief the next day which was very kind. We could not cover nathula pass due to weather conditions and once we were back without any follow up we were redunded the money back. Overall services of northeast tour is excellent. Guest booked 8 Nights & 9 Days package (2 Nights Darjeeling, 3 Nights Gangtok, 2 Night Pelling & 1 Night in Siliguri). Everyday he got only one service either transfer or sightseeing. In this region this is best comfortable package. Guest had chosen the hotels by own choice. However we are surprised with this review because guest didn't raise any point throughout his journey.

I liked their services but the hotel they have booked are not up to mark except Mya Inn in Gangtok. The tour operator should visit atleast once before offering the hotels in their panel. The rooms provided in Smart Residency having not even an opening in the bathroom. The behaviour of manager of Snoe View in Peeling was untolerable and the meals they provided cant not eatable by a normal men.

They booked an absolutely horrible hotel in Darjeeling(there was fungus on hotel walls). Rest of the bookings were ok, one plus point was driver(which was pure luck). Better service should be provided by them.

Famously known as the Queen of Hills, Darjeeling is the gorgeous hill city located in the lap of incredible Kanchan Junga Himalayas. Apart from being the home of the one-horned rhino, it is also the natural habitat of wild buffaloes, wild boars, elephants, Barasinghas (swamp and hog deer), leopards, tigers, hoolock gibbons, capped langur, rock python, monitor lizards, various species of eagles, partridge, bar-headed geese, whistling teals, florican storks, herons, pelicans and water fowls. Large areas of the park comprise of marshland interspersed with large pools fringed with reeds, patches of elephant grass, scattered trees, and thickets. In November 1999, the Kaziranga National Park was selected for the millennium award by the World Wildlife Fund-Tiger Conservation Programme (WWF-TCP) for being one of the best-managed parks in the country. The Park earned this award for the second time in succession.

There are a number of places of tourist interest in Kalimpong. Kalimpong has three important gompas or monasteries: the Tharpa Choeling Gompa, the Tongsa Gompa and Zong Dog Palri Fo-Brang Gompa. The Tharpa Choeling Gompa was established in 1922 and belongs to the Yellow Hat (Gelukpa) sect of Tibetan Buddhism. His Highness the Dalai Lama also belongs to this sect, which was founded in the 14th century in Tibet. The Tongsa Gompa is located near the Tharpa Choeling Gompa. It is the oldest monastery in Kalimpong and was founded in 1692. The present building is constructed over the ruins of the original monastery, which was raised by the Gurkhas, in the pre-British era. The Zong Dog Palri Fo-Brang Gompa was built in the mid-1970s on Durpin Hill and is located 5 km south from the town center. It was consecrated by His Highness the Dalai Lama. This monastery is famous for its traditional Tibetan wall paintings.

S.MAATHU MCA 11 months ago I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the services provided by Mr. Vikas, one of your travel agents. My recent experience with Mr. Vikas was nothing short of a nightmare, and I feel compelled to share my feedback. We have travelled with a total of 17 members. Firstly, Mr. Vikas demonstrated a complete lack of professionalism. He was unresponsive and took an excessive amount of time to reply to my inquiries, often leaving me waiting for days without any update. His attitude was dismissive, and he showed little interest in addressing my concerns or providing adequate solutions. Furthermore, Mr. Vikas made multiple mistakes in my travel arrangements. He failed to secure the accommodations we had requested. His lack of attention to detail and incompetence in handling my travel plans caused me significant inconvenience and frustration.He is not worried about customer satisfaction.His main intention is getting money from customer. In addition, Mr. Vikas was unwilling to provide support or find alternative solutions when issues arose, leaving me to resolve problems on my own. His lack of accountability and customer service skills were truly disappointing. Overall, my experience with Mr. Vikas was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. His incompetence,wrong commitments, and unhelpful attitude marred my travel experience and left me feeling dissatisfied and frustrated. As a loyal customer of your travel agency, I had expected a much higher level of service from Mr. Vikas. However, his subpar performance has left me with a negative impression of your agency. I request that appropriate measures be taken to address the issues I have raised and to ensure that other customers do not have to face similar challenges with Mr. Vikas or any other travel agent in your agency. Finally, I conclude that you should not waste your energy, time, and money with this travel agency. I have rated it with a single star because I did not have the option to select a negative star.

Construction projects to cause campus-area travel delays this summer

Several new construction projects will begin immediately after commencement, joining multiple projects-in-progress on and near the UW–Madison campus. The projects will cause roadway, sidewalk, and bicycle facility closures, as well as Madison Metro detours.

This article highlights the areas of campus where travel is most likely to be significantly affected by construction projects, as well as provides suggested alternate routes to avoid construction zones. Lane reductions on University Avenue and North Lake Street to squeeze east campus traffic

The City of Madison is building a new parking ramp on N. Lake Street to replace the old ramp located near the University Bookstore. A City of Madison water utility project will also affect N. Lake Street just south of University Avenue (near Fresh Market), and the Fluno Center is undergoing a repair project.

Traffic impacts

Currently, the block of N. Lake Street just north of University Avenue is southbound-only due to a northbound lane closure.

In late June, the northbound lane closure on N. Lake Street closure will extend all the way to Johnson Street. Motorists wanting to travel southbound through east campus may detour along N. Park Street.

Also in June, two traffic lanes on University Avenue will close from Frances Street to N. Lake Street. The projects affecting this area of University Avenue will go through multiple phases, and motorists may encounter different traffic configurations throughout the summer.

University Avenue and N. Lake Street just south of University Avenue is expected to reopen in July, while the portion of N. Lake Street just north of University Avenue will reopen later in August.

Transit impacts

Campus bus route 80 will detour from N. Lake Street for the duration of the closure. Go to the Madison Metro website for details.

Bicycle impacts

Starting May 15, the water utility project work zone will block the contraflow bicycle lane at the University Avenue / N. Lake Street intersection. To continue east along University Avenue, cyclists must go around the work zone by crossing to the north side of University Avenue, crossing Lake Street, and doubling back across University to return to the contraflow lane (see map detail).

To avoid biking on N. Lake Street, cyclists may consider detouring along Frances St.

Pedestrian impacts

The southern crosswalk of the N. Lake Street and University Avenue intersection will close. The southern sidewalk of University Avenue in front of the Fluno Center will close between N. Lake Street and Frances Street. There will be a temporary protected walkway available in front of the Fluno Center. Otherwise, sidewalks and crosswalks along N. Lake Street and University Avenue will be maintained.

Observatory Drive hairpin turn closure to affect motorists and buses

Vehicle impacts

A masonry project will cause the hairpin turn on Observatory Drive to fully close between parking lots 9 and 10, near Helen C. White Hall.

The hairpin turn will fully close from May 13 to 31. On June 1, the area will reopen to eastbound traffic only during peak travel periods, and will otherwise remain fully closed during off-peak travel times. Motorists should use University Avenue to travel westbound across campus, W. Johnson Street to travel eastbound, or W. Dayton Street to travel in either direction.

Parking lot 9 (near Science Hall) will remain open for accessible parking only. Permit holders will be relocated.

Parking lot 10 (near the Education Building) will remain open to permit holders.

Cyclists should use Lakeshore Path to avoid this project.

Sidewalks will be maintained for the duration of the project.

Irving and Dorothy Levy Hall construction to affect cyclists and pedestrians

Vehicle traffic impacts

Ongoing construction of Levy Hall near the corner of N. Park Street and W. Johnson Street will continue through 2025. The project has caused the far-right lane of W. Johnson Street to close from Brooks Street to N. Park Street, while the remaining lanes are open to eastbound vehicle traffic.

A section of the southbound bicycle lane on N. Park Street is closed from W. Johnson Street to Clymer Place. Cyclists should use caution while merging with southbound vehicle traffic on this section of Park Street. Alternatively, cyclists may stop and walk their bikes along the protected pedestrian walkway or consider an alternate route, such as Mills Street.

Sidewalks on the south side of W. Johnson Street and the west side of N. Park Street are closed. A protected temporary walkway is available around the work site.

Morgridge Hall and BRT construction likely to cause bottlenecks around Union South and University Ave

The construction of Morgridge Hall and BRT facilities will affect travel on W. Johnson Street between Randall Avenue and Orchard Street near Union South. BRT facility construction will also affect travel on University Avenue in front of the Medical Sciences Center, just west of Charter Street. These closures are expected to last between May 13 and August.

A section of W. Johnson Street between Randall Avenue and Charter Street will be reduced to one lane. Orchard Street will remain closed. The right turn lane from Randall Avenue to W. Johnson will be closed.

Motorists wanting to head eastbound from Randall Avenue should detour via Dayton Street. Motorists should also expect delays on Johnson Street due to the multiple-lane closure in front of Union South, especially during peak travel times.

The far-right traffic lane of University Avenue will be closed in front of the Medical Sciences Center for half a block beginning at Charter Street. This closure will join the existing closure of the far-left lane, meaning that University Avenue will be reduced to one lane in front of the Medical Sciences Center.

Motorists should expect delays on this section of University Avenue, especially during peak travel times.

The westbound bicycle lane on University Avenue will close in front of the Medical Sciences Center. Cyclists traveling westbound should avoid University Avenue and consider detouring along W. Dayton Street or Linden Drive. The eastbound contraflow bicycle lane on University Avenue will remain closed, but protected bicycle facilities will remain open to bicycles traveling east.

There will be multiple sidewalk and crosswalk closures on Johnson Street and University Avenue.

Both crosswalks at the University Avenue / Orchard Street intersection will close. Pedestrians may cross University Avenue at Charter Street or Randall Avenue. Marked pedestrian detours will be available in front of Union South. A temporary protected walkway is available on the north side of Johnson Street and south side of University Avenue around the Morgridge Hall work site.

BRT construction to cause eastbound Campus Drive lane closure

The far-right eastbound lane of Campus Drive will close starting at University Bay Drive and reopen where Campus Drive intersects (old) University Avenue, east of the Wisconsin Energy Institute.  Although the left lane of Campus Drive will remain open, motorists should expect the closures near Union South to cause backups as far west as Campus Drive, especially during peak travel times. This closure is expected to last through the end of August.
