PGA Tour Grill

Ratings and reviews, location and contact.

I rated this as average only because the Greek salad dressing was horrible, only lemon and olive oil. The salad itself was was beautiful, crisp and fresh looking but was inedible because of the dressing. They give you homemade potato chips, with no salt what... so ever which didn’t make them as good as the could have been. The burger however was delicious! We also had a beer and a margarita, and those were great. The service was good and I would go there again. More

Pretty good breakfast except toast. It was not really toasted and more like bread. Service was fast and friendly. The potato wedges were really good. Full bar.

I know it's in an airport, so expectations can only be so high, but I had a fantastic teriyaki chicken sandwich while waiting for my long flight home. Can't say enough good things about it.

Our waitress was awesome. We split the steak frites. The steak was tender and very favorable. Served with the best sweet potato fries. Super crispy. All in all, a great meal in an airport restaurant.

Airport dining is always a gamble and usually overpriced. The gamble did not pay off for us on this occasion. The menu is very limited, which is OK with me if it means that few things are done well. Here it is few things done... very poorly. Moreover, the menu pricing is misleadingly presented. We ordered a burger which comes with fries. The menu also offers sweet potato fries as a “substitute” but we fell into the trap of not reading all the way to the end of long paragraph to spot that the “substitute” actually cost $3.50 extra. I could stomach the deceptive use of the word substitute except for the fact that fries were cold despite being burnt. The burger was also served cold, and although it looked quite good the meat was tasteless. Despite there being numerous servers milling about the service was chaotic, slow, and the manner surly bordering on aggressive. There was discernible tension among among the staff. The server kept snatching unfinished food and drinks away without the courtesy of checking whether we were finished. As for overpriced - AU$45 for one cold tasteless burger, cold burnt fries and two “sodas” which were more than half ice. More

Food wasn’t bad however I came home to find in addition to my $148 bill that there was an extra bill of $112... no way of contacting them to resolve this as I’m half way around the world in a different time zone. I would... be open to someone contacting me to resolve this but I doubt I’ll hear from anyone More

Worst Manager Ever! 603619197 Our waitress was great but the manager was the rudest woman I've ever met! We only ordered a drink but will never return because of the management.

I ordered the hummus and grilled pita bread as an entree, and it was so filling and delicious, I wanted to lick the plate (don't worry, I didn't). My traveling companion had the chicken skewers, and they were beautifully plated and by his report "delicious".... No need to hesitate, just sit down and order. Service is prompt and our server was delightful. More

This thirsty traveller is always seeking a refuge to have a nervous drink before flying, and I am usually condemned to grubby airport eateries and bars which are noisy, crowded and expensive...don't we all dread the airport experience! So what a great delight to discover... the PGA Grill at Honolulu Airport on the way to the International departure lounge...the welcome was wonderful, somewhat like discovering relatives that you actually really like! The witty and engaging staff, the excellent menu and the best Bloody Marys on the planet made the waiting time prior to a 9-hour flight a great entertaining experience. This little restaurant deserves to flourish and would be a huge success wherever is was located...just so amazing to discover such a place in an airport!!! And as is always the case, it was the truly remarkable wait staff who made this voyage of departure back to Australia such a pleasure. It is always tough to leave beautiful Hawaii, but these gals enabled me to take an armful of Aloha back with me on the flight. Mahalo to all at the PGA, you have blessed me with the sunshine of another warm memory of my time in the Hawaiian Islands. More

Decent food with relatively quick service. Quite a bit of drink options and food options. The food was pretty decent too. Would stop by again next time.

Would not have time to eat as we have a long night/day of travel back to Florida ahead of us. We stopped here on way to gate. Our waiter, Sean, was on top of it. He asked if we were in a hurry to catch... flight...which we were not...but food came out quick and was good. Husband had ahi tuna sandwich with chips and I had steak flatbread. Both very good. More

Pre flight bite to eat before heading back to the lower 48. Turkey Club and a beer, okay 2 beers, was 40$. Staff was talkative and very friendly. Plenty of TVs and wifi was spot on. Beats a slice of pizza any day!

Good Food while waiting for a flight at near by gate.Better than the fast food near bte.Service is quick and very friendly.

The flight to and from Hawaii is long, and if you are like me I eat more than one meal in a six hour stretch. So I often stop here to grab a quick healthy bite before flying back to the mainland. I really like... the Ahi Sandwich. The chunk of Ahi they give you for what seems a great price is HUGE! The wine selection is reasonable and the service is friendly and efficient. Skip the junk in the food court, and hit this spot before your next flight out of Honolulu. More

Had a little bite to eat here before the 9pm flight to LAX. Ordered sodas and a flat bread pizza. Service was good because we asked to waiter to ring us up right away so that we wouldn't miss our flight. The flat bread pizza... was so small, it should be chalked up as an appetizer. The quality was average, nothing to write home about. Oh well, what do you expect, it's the airport. More

I have celiac's disease. The one server was new and asked a more experienced, male server for assistance. The second server was extremely irritated by the questions I had. He rolled is eyes and acted put out by me making sure that the restaurant was safe for me to eat at. I left the restaurant and do not recommend eating here if you are a celiac.

— No gluten-free information on the menu

How much of the menu is available gluten-free?

— Not Much/None

Flat out denied serving me despite their menu saying gluten free. Waitress didn’t have a clue when I asked if the steak was marinated or seasoned, as it states “blackened” please try and bring food to the airport if you can. There are next to no options besides chips

How would you rate the taste and quality of the gluten-free food you tried?

— Poor

They aren’t even marking gluten free anymore. No extra help, do not eat here.

Plus: items marked on menu. Minus: No breakfast. 5 items to choose from - 2 apps, 2 salads and a chicken entree to choose from. It was breakfast and the items didn't look super appetizing, so I went to another restaurant in the airport.

Celiac's- I ordered the grilled chicken skewers noted as GF. Then asked if they were grilled on the same grill as gluten items. Strike that order. Didn't need to find.

User profile picture thumbnail

They have 5 gluten free items identified on the menu. we ordered 2 appetizers, chk skewers and ahi poke. the poke came with fried wonton wrappers - they appear to be flour based wontons. no one at the restaurant knows anything about gluten free. Our server told us that some guy in California designed the menu and no one here knows anything about gluten free. we did not eat them, but had unfortunately already started on the skewers. run, don't walk away from here.

Celiac friendly?

More

Eric Cole makes first career ace at Zurich Classic

Change Text Size

It was already a feel-good week for the team of Eric Cole and Russ Cochran. It got even better on Thursday afternoon.

Cole made an ace on the 207-yard par-3 14th during the first round of the Zurich Classic of New Orleans. It’s Cole’s first career ace on the PGA TOUR. Cole’s approach landed just short of the green before popping up, slowly meandering to the front-left hole location and falling into the cup. The hole-in-one moved team Cole/Cochran to 3-under through five holes.

The 35-year-old Cole hoped to spend the week celebrating 65-year-old Cochran, whom Cole invited to play so Cochran could hit his 600th career start. Cochran had been stuck on 599 career PGA TOUR starts for over a decade. His last PGA TOUR event was the 2013 Sony Open in Hawaii (T41).

Cole’s caddie is Reed Cochran, Russ’s son, and Cole plays with both father and son back in Tequesta, Florida, a suburb of Jupiter. Cole floated the idea to Russ, who was apprehensive at first. Eventually, Cole wore him down.

“I thought it would be pretty cool to get him his 600th,” said Cole. “Russ was kinda shaky about it, and then I stayed on him pretty hard and he eventually he came around. He’s been getting ready for it.”

Reed stayed on Cole’s bag while Russ’s other son, Ryan, is caddying for his dad.

“It’s a cool family week, and in New Orleans it will be a cool celebration of Russ,” Cole said.

Now, it’s a celebration of them both, with a special memory to share.

ADELAIDE, Australia (AP) — Three-time PGA Tour winner Brendan Steele shot an 8-under 64 Saturday to take a one-stroke lead after two rounds of the LIV Tour’s Adelaide tournament at The Grange Golf Club.

The 41-year-old Steele’s last PGA Tour victory came in 2017 when he won his second Safeway Open. He lost in a playoff to Australian Cameron Smith at the 2020 Sony Open in Hawaii.

Steele had a 36-hole total of 14-under 130. He had a streak of four birdies, a bogey and two birdies in the middle of his round.

Danny Lee was a stroke behind after a 67, followed by Carlos Ortiz (68) and Mito Pereira (67) in a tie for third.

First-round leader Jinichiro Kozuma shot 71 and was tied for ninth, four strokes behind Steele. The Japanese player had an eagle, three birdies and four bogeys.

Jon Rahm, who has yet to win since joining LIV in December, shot 69 and was tied for 15th, six strokes off the lead.

Steele predicted a 20-under total would be needed to win after Sunday’s final round.

“There’s good scores out there for sure,” he said. “If you’re in the fairway, then you can take on a lot of the pins.”

Smith shot 65 and was among those three behind in a four-way tie for fifth.

Enjoying the home crowd’s support, Smith said he was grateful for the lady his errant shot hit on the 17th hole. The shot rebounded kindly off the woman and Smith ended up with a birdie on the hole.

“I hit her in the back,” Smith said. “It probably wasn’t going to be in the trees, but it was going to be in the rough and a different lie, so it could have been a different outcome. But (I) made her proud and made a birdie there, and she helped me out — hopefully that eased the pain a little bit for her.”

A new friendship ensued.

“She was nice,” Smith said. “I went over there and I signed a ball, and she said ‘just give me a hug’, so I gave her a hug as well. She was sweet.”

There was also drama in another Australian’s round with Lucas Herbert’s caddie, Nick Pugh, hit in the head by a water bottle thrown from the crowd while replacing the flagstick at the 12th hole.

Herbert had just holed a birdie putt to finish his round in the shotgun format and was celebrating with fans at the par-3, known as the ‘watering hole’ with its loud music and boisterous fans, when Pugh was hit in the back of the head.

Pugh initially sunk to his knees but made his way back to the clubhouse and was reportedly uninjured and in good spirits.

The LIV tour remains in the Asia region next week for the May 3-5 Singapore event at the Sentosa Golf Club. Then there’s a month-long break before resuming in Houston from June 7-9.
