If you love Pura Vida bracelets, you probably worry about the care routine and longevity of these unique handcrafted bracelets. Showering with delicate pieces may be a concern, but the original line can face a shower without serious damage. 

Pura Vida bracelets are made from high-quality natural fibers like cotton and linen, and these fibers are water-resistant. While the bracelets may get soaked in the shower, they will easily air dry. The original collection is fully showerable, while the charm and platinum bracelets are best kept away from water. 

Pura Vida bracelets, rings, and necklaces are designed to encourage personal expression while you mix up your own style. Showering with the full collection you build may not be advisable to prevent the sterling silver and silver-plated charms from tarnishing.

Pura Vida rings may be waterproof, but they can still tarnish when exposed to harsh water. The silver rings are prone to developing a pitted appearance in a high pressure shower as silver is a soft material. You may also find that the rings can stain your fingers green if they are silver-plated.

Lauren Watkins, the dynamic force behind PuraVida Foods™ , has been revolutionizing the frozen food industry, capturing the hearts and taste buds of consumers nationwide. With a passion for nutritional food, Lauren has been recognized on Forbes’ esteemed 30 under 30 list.  

Born into a family of healthcare professionals, Lauren was raised with a deep understanding of the importance of nutrition and well-being. This upbringing, coupled with her experiences in finance, and sales in the food industry, laid the groundwork for her entrepreneurial journey.  

During her time in sales in the food industry, Lauren felt a sense of disconnect from her work. Despite her success in the field, she found herself yearning for something more meaningful. Lauren’s journey to success was not without its challenges. She was also horrified by the chemicals in these foods and the potential health risks they posed, and the idea of doing something about it was planted in her mind. After earning her master’s degree in human resources and industrial relations, she initially pursued a career in finance. However, she soon realized that her true passion lay in the food industry.  

The COVID-19 pandemic hit, and Lauren found herself faced with the challenge of sourcing convenient yet nutritious meals. Disappointed by the lack of options in the frozen food aisle, she saw an opportunity to fill a void in the market. Thus, PuraVida™ Foods was born. 

Despite her lack of experience in the food industry, Lauren was determined to make her mark. She began working for a food manufacturing company, where she quickly rose through the ranks. Her keen business acumen and passion for health soon caught the attention of her superiors, who entrusted her with greater responsibilities. 

“I believe that consumers deserve better - better ingredients, better options, better food,” Lauren remarks. “At PuraVida™, we’re committed to providing delicious, nutrient-rich meals that align with today’s health-conscious lifestyles.” With a focus on clean labeling and ethically sourced ingredients, PuraVida™ offers a diverse range of frozen products from Adobo Street Corn & Peppers to Mediterranean Orzo Bowls. “I was fortunate to have mentors who believed in me and supported my growth,” Lauren recalls. “Their guidance gave me the confidence to pursue my entrepreneurial ambitions and embark on this incredible journey with PuraVida™.” Despite the challenges of scaling up and navigating the complexities of the retail industry, Lauren remains undeterred in her mission. With a small, dedicated team by her side, she has successfully expanded PuraVida’s presence to over 1,000 stores across the United States, including major retailers like Costco and Sprouts Farmers Markets.
