Robbie Williams is celebrating 25 years of hits at a bunch of Australian headline shows this month. The British pop star is playing stadium venues in Sydney and Melbourne and wineries in Mount Cotton, Geelong and Swan Valley.

Williams will be supported throughout the tour by Supergrass’ Gaz Coombes and his own electronic project, Lufthaus. The three acts are booked in for the final night of the VAILO Adelaide 500 after-race concert series .

The tour comes 25 years after the release of Williams’ debut solo record, Life Thru A Lens . He’s released a total of 12 studio albums a solo artist, the latest being 2019’s The Christmas Present . The retrospective compilation, XXV , came out in September 2022. You can find all of Williams’ Australian tour setlists below.

Robbie Williams XXV Tour

There aren’t many modern artists that transcend generations and even fewer that have sold over 80 million albums globally. Robbie Williams is one of them. With a quarter of a century of stage time under his belt, the singer-songwriter’s live productions are synonymous with showmanship and technical creativity. This time around, Williams has set out his new manifesto. Gags make way for a stripped-back, 32-year musical journey featuring some of his greatest hits – reworked by Jules Buckley, Guy Chambers and Steve Sidwell, and re-recorded with the Netherlands’ Metropole Orkest – interspersed with anecdotes and brand-new tracks from his latest record, XXV .

Filtering past the hoards of Robbie Williams faithful camped outside Manchester’s AO Arena up to five hours before doors are due to open on a three-night residency – a testament to the artist’s enduring popularity – TPi was escorted to the production office by Head of Security, Cary Nightingale.  

Parachuted straight into the camp following Foo Fighters’ touching Taylor Hawkins tribute shows, Production Manager, John Lafferty adopted an ‘if it isn’t broken, don’t fix it’ approach. “This is a relaxed camp,” he said. “Everybody works as a team. There are no dividing lines between departments and things flow a lot smoother that way.” As such, the tour’s suppliers remain largely the same, with Paul Normandale’s Lite Alternative Design handling production design, while Lite Alternative providing lighting and automation equipment in addition to existing vendors: Britannia Row Productions, Universal Pixels, The Shop, All Access Staging, Actus Industries, Surfhire, ER Productions, Popcorn Catering, Stagetruck, Beat The Street, Equinox Travel, Freight Minds, The Event Safety Shop, ISA-CAM, and Blink of an Eye.

Robbie Williams To Bring ’25 Years Of Hits’ Tour To Australia In 2023

One week shy of the silver anniversary of his debut solo album,  Life Thru A Lens , Robbie Williams has announced he’ll be bringing his ’25 Years Of Hits’ tour to Australia next year. The shows will constitute Williams’ first large-scale tour of the country since 2018 .

Beginning his run of shows in New Zealand on 11th November, Williams will visit Australia the following week, with headline dates scheduled for Sydney’s Allianz Stadium and Melbourne’s AAMI Park. He will also perform at A Day On The Green events in Mount Cotton, QLD, Geelong, VIC, and Swan Valley, WA.

Robbie Williams – ‘Angels (XXV)’

Launching his career as a member of Take That in 1990, Williams went solo in 1995, releasing his debut solo album two years later. He’s gone on to become one of the world’s best-selling male artists, with over 85 million albums sold throughout his career.

Earlier this month, Williams marked the quarter-century milestone with the release of  XXV , a compilation album featuring Williams’ biggest hits re-orchestrated and recorded with Metropole Orkest. Williams was in the country earlier this year, making two appearances at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena while in the country filming the biopic  Better Man .

“Australasia is one of my favourite places in the world to tour; I feel so at home there and hugely appreciate the warm, loving welcome I always receive,” Williams said in a statement alongside the tour announcement. “I can’t wait to do these shows in 2023 and spend some time with my fans.”

Robbie Williams Announces 'XXV' Australian Tour for 2023

Robbie Williams  has announced an Australian for 2023. The global pop phenomenon, who is currently in the country to perform at the AFL Grand Final,  will return to Australia in November for a run of dates throughout metro and regional areas. 

The Robbie Williams XXV  tour will see Robbie play a set full of his greatest hits and audience favourites at a series of a day on the green  shows as well as perform two enormous stadium shows in Sydney and Melbourne. 

The stadium shows will take place in Sydney at the newly renovated Allianz Stadium on Thursday 16 November and in Melbourne at AAMI Park on Thursday 23 November. 

Robbie will also play a day on the green  events at Sirromet Wines  in Mount Cotton, Queensland on November 18, and Mt Duneed Estate i n Geelong in regional Victoria on November 25, before traversing the country to make his Swan Valley, WA   debut at  Nikola Estate  on   December 1.

The tour will kick off with one show in New Zealand at Mission Estate Winery Concert in HawkersBay on November 11.

Tickets for the Sydney and Melbourne stadium shows go on sale to the general public on Friday 30 September from 1 pm local time. There are multiple pre-sales for these events. Both the Robbie Williams fan and Telstra pre-sales will take place from Tuesday 27 September, while a Frontier Members pre-sale  will take place on Thursday 29 September.

Tickets for all a day on the green dates, go on sale on Friday 30 September from 1 pm local time from Ticketmaster a day on the green and AAMI members ’ pre-sales beginning Thursday 29 September.

Nine shows are set for next year

Due to high demand, Robbie Williams has added second and final shows to the Australian leg of his 2023 XXV Tour . The pop star will now play back-to-back shows in Hawke’s Bay, NZ; Mount Cotton, QLD and Melbourne, Australia for a total of nine shows across the Antipodean shores next year.

On the back of a truly iconic headline performance at the AFL Grand Final on Saturday – which saw the global pop phenomenon deliver a mind-blowing 20 minute set of hit after hit – Williams has well and truly reminded us that the hype is real, he is the ultimate showman and he’s here to entertain us all!

Robbie williams: mission estate winery concert.

Global phenomenon ROBBIE WILLIAMS’ appearance at New Zealand’s premiere entertainment event, the Mission Estate Winery Concert, has sold out in under an hour this afternoon. A second, and final, concert on Sunday, 12 November 2023, is now on sale and selling quickly.

Mission Concert producer James Erskine, Chairman of Sports and Entertainment Limited, says he’s delighted with the response from New Zealanders to attend the world’s biggest winery concert.

“We knew it was going to be big, but the speed of which people snapped up the 25,000 tickets was faster than we imagined,” he said.

“It’s a reflection of the calibre of this artist and a reflection of how much people love this event. We are delighted that Robbie has agreed to a second.”

The Mission Concert, which boasts a proud history of presenting the world’s biggest and best entertainers including Rod Stewart, Elton John, Sting, Phil Collins and many more since 1993, marks three decades of amazing entertainment with Robbie’s performances on Saturday, 11 November and now, Sunday, 12 November.

Nestled against the quiet and picturesque foothills of Greenmeadows on the outskirts of Napier is New Zealand’s only nineteenth century winery – The Mission Vineyards.

Nestled against the quiet and picturesque foothills of Greenmeadows on the outskirts of Napier is New Zealand’s only nineteenth century winery – The Mission Vineyards. 

It is New Zealand’s oldest producer of wines still under the same management and its sizeable winery and vineyards, under the control of The Greenmeadows Mission Trust Board, help fund the work of The Society of Mary throughout New Zealand and the South Pacific.

Established in 1851 by French missionaries Father Lampila and two lay brothers Florentin and Basil on seven acres given to them by a friendly Maori chief, Puhara, they planted crops and wines.  This was the beginning of Mission Vineyards.

Disputes, however, broke out between rival tribes and the Mission moved to Meeanee and re-established its vineyards in 1858.

Overshadowing successes at Meeanee was the constant threat of flooding and so, in 1909, the seminary and vineyard moved to its present site.  Overlooked by the grand old seminary on Mount St Mary, the Mission Vineyards Estate is a familiar landmark to all who visit Hawkes Bay and the ideal venue for a Concert under the Stars.

First staged in 1993 the Mission Concert has featured Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, Ray Charles, Kenny Rogers, Dionne Warwick, Shirley Bassey, Julio Iglesias and the Beach Boys.

A new era of concert presentation commenced in 2003 with SEL taking up the producer’s role for future Mission Concerts. The first artist to appear under this new agreement was Sir Cliff Richard. The Mission Concert site was identified by Sir Cliff as a spectacular venue, not only an ideal location for the final performance of the Wanted World Tour but the perfect venue to record the performance for the Wanted World Tour DVD release. Since 2003 the Mission has hosted John Farnham, Belinda Carlisle, The B52’s, Rod Stewart, Chris de Burgh, Olivia Newton John, Eric Clapton, Motown, Sting, Carole King and Barry Gibb.

We are delighted to announce global pop phenomenon ROBBIE WILLIAMS will return to Australia in November 2023 to play headline dates across the country, including five very exciting a day on the green events. Robbie will entertain a day on the green audiences playing Queensland’s Sirromet Wines, Mount Cotton; Geelong’s Mt Duneed Estate on Victoria’s Surf Coast; and will then make his Swan Valley debut at WA’s Nikola Estate. Directed by Joe Pearlman ( Lewis Capaldi: How I’m Feeling Now ), the four-part series features never-before-seen archive footage spanning the singer’s 30-year career, from his origins as a member of  Take That  to his breakout success as a solo artist.

Reviewing the series , NME said: “ Robbie Williams is a tale of the last era of super-charged celebrity. It’s an unflinching depiction of tabloid fuckery, mass ignorance of mental health issues and a pre-social media age in which a handful of celebrities found themselves at the molten centre of the pop culture universe.”

It adds: “It’s a persuasive account of the gulf that can occur between wealth and happiness, a simple sentiment that can be difficult to really feel. Like Robbie himself, the show’s imperfect and a little insular, but its emotional pull is undeniable.”
