Crockett Doodles began as a breeder for Goldendoodles . The Crockett family had difficulty finding a reputable breeder, so they became the type of breeder they would want to purchase from.

In recent years, Crockett Doodles has grown to include partnerships with other breeders who believe in home-raised pups allowing them to offer other breeds, including Newfiedoodles .

These “Partner Homes”, or guardian homes , are located nationwide, meaning your new furry friend might be right around the corner.

How much is a puppy from Crockett Doodles?

The starting price for a Newfypoo from Crockett Doodles ranges from $1,400 – $2,100 . Puppies with a wavy/curly coat are an additional $200, while chocolate, parti-colored, or multi-colored Newfiepoos are an additional $300.

Mini puppies are an extra $700, and female puppies are an extra $100. There is also an additional “Christmas pup” fee of $200 for puppies purchased around Christmastime to encourage families to adopt earlier in the year.

Crockett Doodles does offer discounts, however. If you are a military personnel, a veteran, a firefighter, an EMT, a police officer, a pastor, a teacher, or a homeschool parent, you can receive $100 off .

Additionally, if you are referred by a home that adopted a puppy from Crockett Doodles, you can receive $100 off.

Crockett Doodles strives to accept only the best-qualified forever homes for each puppy. To do so, they have created a fair and thorough application process to take refundable deposits ahead of time.

Once your application is submitted, the Crockett Doodles team will evaluate your provided information and respond within the following days.

If your application is accepted, you can place a deposit that will be applied towards the final cost of your new fur baby.

The deposit is $300 for any Doodle breed from Crockett Doodles. Once the deposit is placed, you will receive litter announcements allowing you to choose which Doodle pup you want from a given litter.

Health Guarantee

The health guarantee offered by Crockett Doodles is said to be one of the “best in the business.” This health warranty extends up to three years when using their recommended food.

While it is up to the buyer to have their new puppy checked by a veterinarian within seven days of adoption, Crockett Doodles will do everything possible to ensure you receive the healthiest puppy likely.

Started by two good friends, Safari Doodles boasts a track record of consistently producing non-shedding, allergy-friendly Doodle mixes since 1999.

With a background in breeding winning show dogs, they have used their knowledge to breed dogs that will make the perfect pet or service animal. They state that they regularly donate puppies to service dog organizations as well.

This breeder raises their litters on a ranch just north of Dallas, Texas. This breeder gives great detail about the specifics of their week-to-week routine of raising the puppies on their website.

Puppies are accustomed to seeing different types of animals, spending time in a crate, and being groomed regularly.

They are also exposed to potty training and are great around children. All parent dogs are thoroughly health tested and certified with OFA, CERF, and DNA.

As the puppies grow, they are tested for temperament to ensure the perfect forever home placement.

How much is a puppy from Safari Doodles?

All puppies from Safari Doodles have a flat price of $3,500 , no matter the breed, color, gender, or other variables.

A non-refundable deposit of $500 must be placed to join their waiting list, with the remaining $3000 being due once your puppy is chosen. This is typically around the 8-week mark. 

First, you are asked to fill out their application. Once they review your information, typically within the same week, you are asked to place your deposit to join their waiting list.

Everyone on the list will be notified when a litter is born and asked to voice their interest in the litter within the following two weeks.

The puppies from Safari Doodles are regularly dewormed and on heartworm, flea, and tick prevention. They are also vet-checked and microchipped.

Puppies from this breeder come with 30 days of free health insurance from Embark. There is also a 2-year health guarantee on each pup.

The guarantee can be read in its entirety on their site. The main takeaways are the full refund if the puppy is found to have a congenital health defect within the first 72 hours of pick up and the spay/neuter agreement.

Pure Puppy Love

From the moment we picked Sadie up, I believe it was the first week of May 2022, we felt a loving family vibe between the Walkers and the puppies and then on to us when they knew we would be great parents. Awesome company to work with!

Our family decided super last minute to gift our daughters a new fur baby for Christmas, a Google search for nearby Goldendoodle Breeders landed me on SouthEast Doodles.com. We took a chance and called them on Christmas Eve morning. My husband called and spoke with Sean and within a few hours we had our new pup! Enrichment & Socialization

Our puppies are raised in home so they are always part of the family. They are exposed to loud noises, strange sights and many different people including children. We introduce them to being crated and to riding in the car. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Socialized with Children, Socialized with Adult Dogs, Sound Stimulation, Texture Stimulation.

We follow the world-renowned Dr. Jean Dodds' vaccine protocols. This vaccine protocol is more holistic and prevents over-vaccinating. We feed our babies high quality food and give them regular dewormings and probiotics. Our puppies are all microchipped and vet checked before they go home. We send a health certificate home with each puppy.

Explain a little bit more about yourself.

I am a stay at home mom of four kids. I am passionate about Doodles being healthy and having correct temperaments. I started Safari Doodles with my best friend Alicia in 2008. In 2012 we decided to split our breeding program and I became Regal Doodles. I started a Facebook group called Texas Doodle Education to inform the public about responsible breeding and to answer doodle related questions.

How did you get into breeding?

My grandfather was a bird breeder and I found every aspect of the business fascinating. I became involved showing Wire Fox Terriers in 2000 and then I was hooked with the idea of breeding my own litters and improving the breed. After I had my first child I knew that I needed to change my allegiance to a breed that was better suited to being a friendly family companion. Doodles were the ideal dog.

What makes your breeding program special?

Because I have four young children I keep my breeding program on the smaller side. This allows me to give every client the most personalized experience possible. I love my clients and enjoy the relationship that we build together. Once someone buys a puppy from me our dealings aren't over when the puppy goes home. I am there 24/7 to answer their questions and offer them help.

Hip Dysplasia

Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

Patellar Luxation

Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

Legg-Calve-Perthes (OFA)

A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

We are an in-home Goldendoodle breeder located right outside Boise, Idaho. Most of our breeding dogs are guardian dogs which means they stay with other Treasure Valley families during the year and come back to us only to breed. How does safari doodles raise puppies.

All our mother dogs give birth and raise their puppies inside the house. We believe to properly develop, each litter must live in the main part of the house and receive constant attention. To do this, we enlist Guardian Home raisers who keep the mother dog at their house until the puppies are weaned. Once weaned, the puppies come to the Safari Doodles ranch to get ready for their new homes. At the ranch we vaccinate/ deworm, the vet comes over to examine puppies, lots of play in the playroom, microchip, temperament test, groom, explore in the activity room, litter box potty train, get snuggles etc. We know that how your puppy is raised makes all the difference. How do I know if Safari Doodles is a reputable breeder?

Here at Safari Doodles we fully health test our parent dogs. In addition, the whole line of genetics prior to the parents are health tested as well. We certify every parent dog’s health with OFA . As a minimum we test and certify OFA Hips, OFA Elbows, OFA Heart, OFA Eyes, DNA Full panel of all relevant diseases. How much is a Safari Doodles puppy?

All puppies, regardless of size, variety, color or sex are $3500. A deposit of $500 of that is paid up front to be placed on our master list to wait your turn to be offered a litter based on the seniority of your deposit. $3000 remaining purchase price is due once your puppy is chosen at 8 weeks of age.
