Activity Schedule

We gather at our starting point. All drivers must have their license on them (category B). All participants are encouraged to have trainers, sunscreen, a bathing suit, water shoes and towel with them. We provide bandanas and protective eyewear for all. Before leaving we brief everyone on the safety measures that need to be taken during the tour. For the duration of the tour, we offer ice-cold water in order to avoid dehydration.

We set off at 9am with our guide in the leading buggy and the group in tow. Our off-road begins 20' into the trip when we reach Keri.

Our first stop is at Marathias, where we take panoramic photos of Marathonisi Island. We then continue through the dense forest of marathias to our next stop.

Our second stop is above the Mizithres Islands viewpoint for photos.

Nice countryside place with a legend about its name. The local legend says that Andronios was a dragon 300 meters tall that has made the 12 wells of Agalas village and has given them his name.

We stop at Korakonisi to relax and swim.

We leave Korakonisi and drive through Agios Leon, both on and off road until we reach Loucha, where we stop for lunch. A traditional Greek lunch is served at an old farmhouse under the cool shade of giant trees. It is completely private and solely for our group. Our food is vegan friendly. Unlimited soft drinks but no alcohol is provided.

After lunch we begin our final stretch of the tour with an off-road drive through the Loucha Valley, down Kiliomenos Village and back to Laganas. The entire tour covers approximately 80km in distance, most of which is off-road.

We have prepared a program of the TOP 10 not to be missed in Zakynthos. The island of Zakynthos can be easily visited far and wide by renting a car, scooter or quad. With the exception of the road to reach Dafni, all roads are asphalted.

The Top 10 by day

Port limnionas and port roxa.

These two rocky bays are located on the west coast a couple of kilometers from each other. The landscape to reach them is a mix of forests, villages and numerous curves cut into the rock that make driving by scooter or car or quad very pleasant. We recommend arriving before 11.00 in the morning.

Of the top 10 it is certainly the least touristy beach and the most difficult to reach due to the dirt road. Located in zone A of the Marine Park, which is the most protected area and not accessible to boats, this sandy beach full of turtle nests is certainly the wildest of Zakynthos.

Gerakas and Dafni are the only 2 beaches in zone A of the Marine Park accessible to the public. This strip of brown sand surrounded by clay walls is another mandatory stop for nature lovers and snorkelers. To reach it, you have to go through the numerous curves of Vasilikos paying the utmost attention to driving due to the quality of the asphalt.

Marathonisi Island

Bochali (or Boxali) is the viewpoint from which to observe the city of Zakynthos from above. To reach this village you have to go uphill for about 3 km and leave your vehicle at the parking lot located to the left of the entrance.

The sulphurous beach of Xigia is another particular beach of Zakynthos and the way to reach it is very pleasant both by scooter and by car. Passing Xigia and continuing along the road that runs along the sea, you arrive at Macri Gialos, a bay of white pebbles.

Korakonisi is a rocky fjord with transparent waters. To reach this splendid bay you have to go through numerous curves and in the last 200m the road is dirt. We recommend that you park at the beginning of the dirt road and walk the remaining meters. To reach the sea you have to take a small road carved into the rock, bring some sneakers with you.

Cameo Island

The island of Cameo is the symbol of Zakynthos and an instagram spot for thousands of tourists every day. Located near the port of Agios Sostis, this scenic island can be reached via a wooden pier. It hosts interesting aperitifs twice a week and is a must for couples at sunset.

What to visit in zakynthos in the evening.

In the evening all the nightlife moves to Zakynthos city, where you can have a drink or eat in one of the many clubs, stroll along the Corso or go shopping in one of the many souvenir shops. The Bochali area located on the hill behind the city and already recommended among the TOP 10 things to see by day in Zakynthos, offers a breathtaking view of the city below, especially on full moon nights.

Just 3 km from the city is the most popular nightclub on the island, the Barrage with the most famous events on Tuesdays and Fridays, frequented by tourists of all ages.

The alternative is the Laganas road (the street of nightlife for children, especially English, aged 18-21) but we strongly advise you not to park your car or scooter on the main street after sunset.

Car or scooter? What to rent in zante.

The island of Zakynthos can be explored easily either by scooter, car or quad. All roads are paved and the choice of whether to rent a scooter or a car or a quad bike depends solely on the skill of the driver.

We tend to advise against scooter rental for beginners, in the area of Vasilikos and Porto Limnionas there are many curves and those with no experience on 2 wheels could have uncomfortable falls. Parking is generally free throughout the island, there are private paid parking spaces but they are all located in Zakynthos town.

Thanks to the size of our boats (9 to 34 seater boats), you will have the opportunity to observe and take close-up photos of Loggerhead (Caretta Caretta) turtles peacefully swimming in the Zakynthos Marine Park and to enjoy a nice swim in crystal clear waters. Our excursions are designed for you to explore the beauty of the marine park and observe Loggerhead turtles as they swim in their natural environment, all in compliance with WWF regulations.

This excursion includes a swim stop at Marathonisi Island , where Loggerhead (Caretta Caretta) turtles lay their eggs and a swim stop at Keri caves . Furthermore, you will visit the Marathia caves, Oasis Beach, and many other scenic coves with crystal clear waters.

It is perfect for snorkelling and for those who love the adventure of swimming inside the caves. Due to its small size, this type of boats can get closer to the beach and to the coastline. Cost is €25 per person.

N.B. If you are part of a large group, you can reserve the entire boat and decide where you want to stop.

If you wish to explore the Marine Park on your own, you can rent a standard boat that doesn’t require a boating licence or a boat with skipper .
