Log Book Rules for Drivers

The DOT and FMCSA set some rules regarding the driving of truck drivers on the road. Understanding the violation is essential for truckers. They should know how many hours they can drive daily, weekly, and monthly. Some rule violations may put the trucker out of service, which means they are no longer allowed to drive. • Truckers can drive 60/70 hours in 7 or 8 days of work.
• The 30-minute break rule of FMCSA and DOT states that drivers must take a 30-consecutive-minute break after 8 hours of driving.

The daily trip sheet is a document which is used to keep track of daily trips of a vehicle. This is useful when you want to know the total mileage of the vehicle as well as the condition of the vehicle. The cost incurred due to trips of the vehicle can also be tracked with the use of the daily trip sheet.

How to create a daily trip sheet?
