DAY 2  : HALF DAY CITY TOUR (SHARING)                                                   

After breakfast, get ready for your city tour of Bali.

After breakfast proceed for Kintamani tours which will guide you around some of the most desirable and beautiful areas located in the northeast of Bali including incredible views of the Mount Batur volcano and the lakes of the area. As with most tours the eight hour tour at your personal hotel where air conditioned transport to the first locations that are traditional markets where cheap and beautiful gold and silver where can be purchased and examined as well as carving of grand size and smaller examples that may make practical gifts or souvenirs. Continued with Tegenungan Waterfall, it is one for nature lovers who happen to be staying in Bali Tegenungan considered the closest natural attraction of its kind. Getting to the falls is a pleasant drive down paved village roads lined with stretches of green rice fields on both sides. The falls are only several minutes’ walk down the trail beyond the shops, where you’ll enjoy the impressively green valley panorama with cascading water as a centerpiece.

Day 1: Denpasar – Ubud

Arrive in Denpasar and transfer to your hotel in Ubud.

Day 2-3: Ubud

Visit Elephant Cave (Goa Gajah), Ubud Royal Palace and Ubud market on an Ubud tour. The next day, spend some time at leisure. You can opt for a cycling tour, white water rafting or visit the age-old village of Tenganan.

Day 4-5: Ubud – Candidasa

After breakfast, drive to Candidasa visiting a local dance school en route. Continue your journey towards the east coast of Bali, with a stop at Tihingan village, where you can see the production of gongs and gamelan instruments. Enjoy the following day at leisure or relax at the beach.

Day 6: Candidasa – Lovina

Continue along the east coast stopping at the biggest temple of Bali – Besakih, on the way to the highland town of Kintamani with its panoramic views of Mount Batur. Explore the mythic temple Pura Beji before proceeding to Lovina.

Day 7: Lovina

Walk along the terraced rice fields, visit local villages and have a cup of home-grown coffee in a farmhouse and take in the Secret Gardens of Sambangan with cascading waterfalls on a guided hiking programme.

Day 8: Lovina – Denpasar

Kuta & Legian

Kuta and Legian are at the epicentre of mass tourism in Bali, partly because of the close proximity to the airport and capital Denpasar , and partly because of the alluring beach, cheap accommodation and raucous nightlife. Kuta is still very much considered the island’s party spot, popular with backpackers and budget travellers wanting to surf, eat fast food and drink ‘til dawn. It is still possible to find some genuine Balinese culture in the surrounding streets, but head to Legian if you still want the nightlife, but on a slightly calmer, more grown up scale.

Immediately north of Kuta, Seminyak couldn’t be more different, a place where high-class restaurants, good bars, beach clubs, boutiques and galleries lure well-heeled visitors through their doors. Numerous luxury spas and hotels line the wide, west-facing stretches of Indian Ocean shoreline with its turquoise waters and excellent surfing conditions, perfect for travellers more partial to riding waves than relaxing.

Another popular spot on the southern Bukit Peninsula , it is home to Bali’s most sacred sea temple. Dramatically perched on a clifftop above the Indian Ocean, Uluwatu temple is a magical spot. It is also home to one of the best surfing beaches on the island; pro-surfers flock here to ride the fast, powerful waves.

Visitors have long been drawn to the charms of Ubud, with its lively arts and cultural scene, excellent food, out-of-this-world spa offerings and charismatic, laid-back atmosphere.

Whether you choose to watch traditional “legong” dances at the old palace, take a trip to the Monkey Forest Sanctuary or prefer to relax in one of the luxury hotels that have sprung up in recent years – Four Seasons , Ritz Carlton , Uma by COMO and Viceroy all have hotels here – Ubud never fails to disappoint. Some refer to this part of the island as the ‘Wild West’ due to the fact that it is the least visited part of the island and holds a mysterious allure, even for some of the locals. Here you’ll find stretches of deserted black volcanic beaches, created from the lava of Bali’s active Mount Batur and Mount Agung , vast swathes of jungle and rolling paddy fields. Pura Taman Ayun is a beautifully ornate royal water temple and was the main temple of the Mengwi kingdom, which survived until 1891. West Bali National Park covers most of the western end of the island and remains virtually unexplored. Many in-the-know surfers head here: Balian beach is a good spot, as is Medewi Beach , a popular destination where people come to surf and experience a relaxed way of life in the tiny Balinese fishing village. Uninhabited Menjangan Island is renowned for its diving, snorkeling and marine conservation, as is Pemuteran .

Fresh fish, coconut, aromatic spices, fresh vegetables, tropical fruit and rice are some of the main staples of Balinese cuisine. Taking influences from Chinese and Indian dishes, the island is famous for its Balinese Babi Guling (roasted suckling pig), Sate Babi (grilled satay pork) and Gado Gado, a well-known dish of boiled vegetables, hard boiled eggs, fried tofu and tempeh, rice and peanut sauce.

The earliest written records of Bali are stone inscriptions dating back to the 9th century. The Majapahit Empire ruled from 1343 and was responsible for the influx of Javanese culture into Bali, particularly dance, theatre, literature and architecture. Europeans arrived in the 16th century, which saw a long, difficult colonial period under Dutch rule. Indonesian leader Soekarno proclaimed the nation’s independence in 1945, just after the end of WWII, but then the Indonesian War of Independence ensued, a conflict between Indonesia and the Dutch Empire that would last for four years before the nation was completely free from Dutch rule.

Mount Batur

According to Hindu beliefs, Mount Batur is a sacred mountain, located on the north east of the island, close to Mount Agung . It is an active volcano that last erupted in 2000 and is also home to Lake Batur , the largest lake on Bali. Sitting 1,717m above sea level, the summit can be reached in around two hours. It is a popular attraction for walkers and hikers, who come to enjoy the spectacular scenery and may even experience their guide cooking eggs in the volcano’s hot crater. The Gili Isles

Tirta Empul Temple

This temple is considered to be one of the most holy in Bali, built around a sacred spring in the village of Manukaya . The spring feeds various purification baths, pools and fishponds, which all flow to the Tukad Pakerisan River . Balinese locals have been worshipping here for over 1,000 years, attracted by the healing, restorative qualities of the waters. There are three courtyards in the temple complex, but the main attraction is a long rectangular carved stone pool, filled with koi and fed by the sacred spring via 12 fountains. Balinese worshippers make their offerings at the temple, then climb into the main pool to pray.

10 Days The Best of Bali, Gilis and Nusa Penida Island Experience

Yustas is a credit to your company. He looked after me like I was his own mother. The tour was reduced from 6 to 2 people at the last minute which meant we had a guide and a driver for just the two of us which made it all the more special. I would only change a couple of things like the dinner the first night would have been better if we could have chosen our meal up to a certain value. Also staying at Ubud would have been preferably even if we had to pay extra because of the long travelling time each morning and night. Apart from that I wouldn't have changed a thing. Peppin was also excellent to deal with and an excellent driver. Gilli was fantastic and also Nusa Penida. Overall an excellent holiday. I will definitely be recommending this tour to friends.

I cannot express how well put together this tour is! From the minute I arrived in Bali, someone was waiting for me to help me through immigration which avoided all queues, then my driver Made was waiting for me, he was so lovely! On arriving at the first hotel, (which was amazing), I was greeted with a welcome drink and the lovely hotel staff. I travelled on my own, and this was my first solo tour, so I was anxious, but as soon as I arrived all of that went because I felt so looked after by everyone. I met the rest of the group the next day, as well as our tour guide Andy. Andy is the nicest, kindest man and couldn't do enough for us. He always went the extra mile for us, he was great fun! He really was the best guide! and really looked after us all. We all loved him! All of the hotels we stayed out were out of this world, and the staff, cleanliness, security was 100% up there! All of the drivers that took us to and from places/excursions were lovely, and all cars had air con which was so nice! The surfing was brilliant and the instructors always made sure we were good and safe in the water, they were a good laugh too! When we climbed Mount Batur we had a guide called Augus who was beyond lovely, and so attentive! he really looked after us. The whole tour was so well organised, and managed. The people/staff made it extra special, and it was so nice meeting so many different people along the way, they went from strangers to friends quickly. Which is the why I did a group tour, because I knew I'd meet new people. The owner of Bali Bucket List always made sure we were all good too, he has such a fantastic company! We honestly could not of asked for anything more! I would recommend this tour to anyone and wish I could do it all over again. Thank you to everyone at Bali Bucket List, We all had the best time of my lives!! I wish you did tours in other places!

Nice tour to get an overview of Bali. Good mix between planned activities and free time.

The tour in bali with Wonderlands was a great experience. We saw so many different parts of Bali and got to know the culture of Indonesian people. My favourite day of the tour was definitely the day trip to Nusa Penida because it started with snorkeling and we also saw many popular places of the Island. Another highlight was the surfing lesson because it was very fun to learn something new. One reason why the tour was perfect is that our group leader Stacia always informed us about what‘s going on on the next day. She was always in a good mood and it felt like she is part of the group as a friend. All in all I would definitely recommend the tour and I would wish to do another one with Wonderlands too.

Initially a little sceptical about a tour as it was my first one abroad. However!!!! I‘m in love with Bali and its people. Stacia was the best guide. Very knowledgeable and always there to answer our questions. Sad that my trip is ending. 10/10 reccommend♥️

Day 01: arrive bali- uluwatu temple tour.

Welcome-Arrive at NGURAH RAI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT and proceed to immigration to get a stamp passport. Collecting luggage and meet our guide at the arrival zone meeting point. Get Flower Garland from our Balinese Costumed Girl before proceed to the bus. Depart from Airport transfer to visit ULUWATU TEMPLE TOUR. Visit to ancient Hindu temple located on top of the cliff jutting out to the ocean over 100 meters above the sea level. is a spectacular view from the splash of the wave all the times under the natural rocky cliff combining with the stunning Sunset. Many holy monkeys around the temple courtyard which is believed as guardian of the temple. Check in hotel, rest and shower. Overnight stay at Hotel in Bali.

DAY 02: FULLDAY KINTAMANI-UBUD TOUR

Breakfast at hotel. Morning transfer from hotel to BATUBULAN VILLAGE to visit BATIK FACTORY to see the making of BATIK CLOTH painted. Next proceed to Celuk Village which is famous for its silvers works followed by visiting MAS VILLAGE which is famous for its painters and wood carvings. Continue the tour direct to KINTAMANI VILLAGE and have stop at PENELOKAN VIEW POINT to enjoy the beautiful and magnificent view of Mount and Lake BATUR. Afternoon: Indonesian Buffet Lunch at GRAND PUNCAK SARI RESTAURANT overlooking to the mountain. After lunch, proceed to Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary (Monkey Forest Ubud), known as the Balinese long tailed monkey (macaque – in English). There are about 600 monkeys living in that very wide forest and divided into 5 groups with different territory. Then back to hotel. Over night stay at hotel.

DAY 3. FULLDAY TAMAN AYUN + BEDUGUL & TANAH LOT TEMPLE

Breakfast at hotel. Morning depart to Mengwi Village to visit the famous TAMAN AYUN Royal family temple. A temple complex boasts magnificent traditional architectural features throughout its courtyards and enclosures as well as expansive garden landscapes comprised of lotus and fish ponds. Afterwards, heading to Bedugul highland area, directly to visit ULUN DANU TEMPLE. The Ulun Danu Beratan Temple is both a famous picturesque landmark and a significant temple complex located on the western side of the Beratan Lake in Bedugul, central Bali. The smooth reflective surface of the lake surrounding most of the temple’s base creates a unique floating impression, while the mountain range of the Bedugul region encircling the lake provides the temple with a scenic backdrop. Noon: Enjoy Indonesian Buffet lunch at MENTARI RESTAURANT. After lunch, continue to visit the most famous Bali island landmark of TANAH LOT TEMPLE. Tanah Lot Temple is one of Bali’s most important landmarks, famed for its unique offshore setting and sunset backdrops. An ancient Hindu shrine perched on top of an outcrop amidst constantly crashing waves; Tanah Lot Temple is simply among Bali’s not-to-be-missed icons. Then back to hotel. Overnight stay at hotel
