Borderlands 3, Typhon Log Locations

Borderlands 3: Meridian Metroplex Typhon Log Locations

Image of Keenan McCall

There are a number of Crew Missions to complete for bonuses in Borderlands 3 , but none offer better rewards than the Typhon Log missions. That’s why we’re here to walk you through where all of the Meridian Metroplex Typhon Log locations are.

All Meridian Metroplex Typhon Log Locations in Borderlands 3

Like with Borderlands 3’s other Typhon Logs, those found in the Meridian Metroplex are scattered throughout the map in the corners of certain areas. Each gives you some back story on the area your in, and finding all three will reveal the location of a weapons cache somewhere in the city.

To get all three though, it’s best to have progressed through the main story to the point where Rhys has invited you to Atlus HQ. This will ensure you don’t have any trouble accessing portions of the area where the logs are located, and will even drop one right into your lap.

Where to Find the First Meridian Metroplex Typhon Log in Borderlands 3

borderlands 3 can't fast travel to meridian metroplex

For the first log, head through the Atlus command outpost where Lorelei is located and take a vehicle north along the city streets until you come to a fork in the road.

Turn right at the fork, and then go down and to the right toward a dead end beneath an overpass. You should discover a new Catch-a-Ride station in the dead-end.

Where you’ll want to go, though, is the overpass above the dead end. To reach it, look for a small, divergent path to the right of the one leading to the dead end. hop out of your car, and then follow it forward toward the overpass. The Typhon log will appear on your map once you make the turn to go above the Catch-a-Ride station.

Where to Find the Second Typhon Log

borderlands 3 can't fast travel to meridian metroplex

The next Typhon Log can be found in the Mercantile section of the Metroplex. This area is accessible once you’ve met up with Zero through Borderlands 3’s main mission, so hold off on trying to go after it until this occurs.

From the Atlus command center, head north along the road and then left at the fork. This will take you to another fork, and you’ll want to turn left down into an underpass.

Continue along the underpass path until you come to a Catch-a-Ride station directly ahead of you. Turn right at the station, and then continue along the path until you come to another Catch-a-Ride station as well as a point where you have to exit your vehicle.

Exit your vehicle and make your way through the area toward the top left corner of the section of the map. This will bring you to a court yard, and the Typhon Log can be found in the far corner of the yard. It can be easy to miss due to the marker’s trigger being finicky, so keep your eyes peeled and don’t be afraid to make a second pass if necessary.

Where to Find the Third Meridian Metroplex Typhon Log in Borderlands 3

borderlands 3 can't fast travel to meridian metroplex

The final Typhon Log is found along the path to Atlus HQ, and if you wait until Rhys invites you to his office as part of Borderlands 3’s main quest, you should be taken right to it.

From the last Typhon log, return to your vehicle and continue north along the road until you come to a cluster of Maliwan shipping containers with a small truck parked next to them.

Exit your vehicle, and then look for a space between the truck and shipping containers you can hop over. The Typhon log will be directly ahead of you on a patch of grass.

Where to Find Meridian Metroplex Dead Drop Cache

borderlands 3 can't fast travel to meridian metroplex

After you’ve found all three of Typhon logs, the location of Typhon’s Meridian Metroplex weapon stash will be revealed. However, reaching it will require some platforming.

To reach it, go to the Meridian Metroplex command center fast travel station. Take a vehicle from the Catch-a-Ride station up the road leading north and stop just before the fork. There will be an area you can enter at the split in the road sans your vehicle.

Head forward until you enter a wide-open courtyard area with an entrance to the Lectra City section of the planet. Go to the bottom right corner of the courtyard and look for some crates you can grapple your way up onto.

Grapple your way up the crates, then look for a walkway along the wall you can jump onto. Jump onto the walkway and continue down it until you come to a red crate. Jump over the crate, and then crouch down under a pipe hanging over the walkway. The cache will be directly ahead of you.

That’s every Meridian Metroplex Typhon Log location in Borderlands 3. For more on the game, check out our other guides on the game like how to get the Cloud Kill and Conference Call .

Contrary to what the map says, there are actually 4 Side Missions in the Meridian Metroplex :

  • Rise and Grind
  • Kill Killavolt
  • Dynasty Diner
  • Technical NOGout
  • Healers and Dealers

You can start this Side Mission by talking to Lorelei after you talk to Rhys (via hologram) in the newly taken base.

  • Taking a Vehicle, head out to the Coffee Shop at your Quest Marker .
  • When you get there, press the button to summon the Barista Bot.
  • Talk to the Barista Bot.
  • You'll get a new Quest Marker . However, before heading over, if you explore the two square areas just southeast of your Quest Marker (Check your map. Allow it to orient itself for the southeast direction to work, by changing tabs to your Log or Inventory, and then flipping back to the Map), you'll find a new Vehicle . You'll need to follow the yellow power cord, and shoot three targets above you to open the door.
  • Head out to your Quest Marker , and you'll find the Side Mission ' Kill Killavolt ' waiting nearby. Don't forget to snag it!
  • Make sure you've activated the respawn checkpoint between the stairs. When you're ready, head up, and fight off the enemies.
  • Once you've killed Core Daddy , claim the Core from his corpse.
  • Take it back to the Coffee Shop, and place it into the wall next to Barista Bot (follow your Quest Marker ).
  • With it in place, talk to Barista Bot again.
  • You'll get a new Quest Marker , very close by. You could actually walk over, if you wanted!
  • Heading inside, clear out the enemies. Eventually, one of them will drop the To-Go Cup .
  • Grab the To-Go Cup and head back to the Coffee Shop.
  • When you get there, you'll be ambushed by several enemies. Feel free to use your Vehicle as you fight them off!
  • With everyone dead, place the To-Go Cup in front of the Barista Bot.
  • He'll fill it up (slowly). Take it back, and take it to Lorelei.
  • Back inside the base, give the To-Go Cup to Lorelei. Once you do, you'll be attacked from behind, at the entrance of the base.
  • Head outside, and fight the waves of enemies off. You'll have some help from Lorelei and her soldiers!
  • Once everyone has finally been killed, head back inside and talk to Lorelei again to officially end the Side Mission. Once you do, she'll immediately have another Side Mission ready for you to take.

2. Kill Killavolt

You'll find this Side Mission near where you fight Core Daddy in the Side Mission above, ' Rise and Grind '.

  • Starting up this Side Mission, you'll see that you need to leave Meridian Metroplex , and head into Lectro City .
  • Once there, press the button on the wall to your left.
  • Climb the staircase, and meet Killavolt (not a fight).
  • You'll need to collect three Tokens and three Batteries . Let's start with the closest, Jenny's Token , which is in the middle of the map. Head out to your Quest Marker , and feel free to do the Side Missions ' Porta Prison ' and 'Proof of Wife ' along the way.
  • Near Jenny's Token , you can search for your first Battery . A bit south of your Quest Marker (for the Battery ), you'll find a ladder. Climb it.
  • Climb the next ladder, and cross the rooftops to your Quest Marker .
  • When you reach it, claim the first Battery .
  • Hop back down, and go to the Quest Marker for Jenny's Token .
  • Kill Jenny and her bandits. When you're done, claim Jenny's Token for yourself.
  • Next, let's head over to Lena's Token .
  • When you're almost there, you'll be able to claim the second Battery . Getting to this one involves climbing the staircase, and jumping onto a rooftop (follow the yellow paint), and then jumping across rooftops onto two sets of ladders.
  • When you reach the final rooftop, simply take the second Battery .
  • Next, hop down and get ready to fight Lena and her crew. It's easiest to fight them from the rooftops, especially the one with the Typhon Log . Don't forget to grab that before leaving the area.
  • When they've all been killed, claim Lena's Token for yourself, and set out for the final Quest Markers at Trudy's Token .
  • When you get there, you'll be able to reach the third Battery easily. Just cross the floating platforms in the water, and you'll have it.
  • Next, it's time to fight Trudy and her crew. They're pretty heavy-hitters, and you'll probably kill Trudy long before you finish off her crew.
  • When she's finally dead, claim Trudy's Token . Don't forget to grab the Typhon Log here before you go!
  • Moxxi will tell you to meet her. Head out to her Quest Marker .
  • When you reach Moxxi, give her the Batteries .
  • Moxxi will give you Moxxi's Booby-Trapped Token . Take it.
  • At this point, feel free to Fast-Travel to the Vending Machines , to sell off your junk. You're about to get a lot more loot, and you'll want to carry it.
  • Next, head out to your Quest Marker . When you reach the door, it'll open, allowing you to enter.
  • Head inside, and to your next Quest Marker . You'll find the familiar drop-down of a boss fight. Are you ready?
  • Drop down, and give Killavolt the four Tokens .
  • The boss fight will begin, and you'll start fighting. It's going to be hard, since Killavolt loves to use electricity. Killavolt is one of the hardest bosses in the game, so consider waiting until you've leveled up more, have better equipment, or have a friend to play in co-op. If you're up for the challenge, it's there. Basically you just need to stay out of his way, staying off of the electrified floor tiles. Carefully navigate as you keep moving around the room. Eventually you'll get him!
  • Once you've killed Killavolt, collect his Charge Pack as you loot the area.
  • Return to Moxxi.
  • Talk to Moxxi. The mission will complete, and you'll receive your rewards. Congrats! This was a tough one.

3. Dynasty Diner

You'll unlock this Side Mission upon completion of the Side Mission above, ' Rise and Grind '.

  • Head out to your Quest Marker . You won't find anybody to interact with, since Beau has barricaded himself inside his apartment. Just being in the vicinity is enough.
  • You'll receive a new Quest Marker nearby. Run over, and you'll find several enemies. Clear them out, and you'll be able to enter the Diner in peace.
  • Feel free to climb up the nearby building to sabotage the broadcast for Moxxi. You'll get some extra experience for it, so you may as well do it while you're in the area.
  • When you're ready, run down the stairs into the main Diner area.
  • Beau will have you interact with a button. Press it, and see what happens.
  • You'll receive a new Quest Marker . Head over, hopping down into the area below. You'll find several Ratches and Ratch Larvae. Kill them, and the 'boss' Ratch will emerge.
  • Slay the boss Ratch, and then claim the Ratch Meat from it's corpse.
  • Climb the ladder back up to the Diner, and return to place the Ratch Meat on the Digiscanner marked by your Quest Marker .
  • Press the button again.
  • Next, you'll need to follow the Delivery Bot as it sets out to deliver burgers to an enemy leader, Captain Rowe . The Delivery Bot will wait for you if you lag behind, so don't worry about losing it! Just chase after it.
  • Along the way, you'll have to defeat two waves of enemies.
  • When you reach your destination, a third wave of enemies will appear, including the boss, Captain Rowe. Kill them all.
  • When you're done, you'll need to pick up the Dynasty Burger , and deliver it to Lorelei yourself.
  • Take it back to base, and hand it to her. You'll complete the Side Mission and receive your rewards.

4. Technical NOGout

You can find this Side Mission when you return to Promethea in Chapter 8, near the Map Transition leading to Lectra City .

  • Starting the mission, you'll be asked to find a scientist in the Meridian Outskirts . Head out there.
  • Head to your Quest Marker . Be prepared for a fight when you enter.
  • Inside, you'll find Quinn, who has locked himself in a closet. Knock.
  • Quinn will come out, and ask you to go claim a nearby Vehicle. Head out to find it.
  • Climb aboard the NOG Catcher , and set out to collect the three NOGs marked on your map.
  • When you reach a NOG, simply launch the barrel weapon at it to catch it. Simple as that.
  • Return to Quinn, and talk to him.
  • Quinn will ask you to press a button. Go press it, and stay near it.
  • Quinn will ask you to press the button again.
  • When prompted, press the button a third time.
  • Next, you'll need to fend off two waves of enemies.
  • When you're done, Quinn will give you your reward, and you'll complete the mission.

Fight with Maya

Maya goes along with you for the greater part of this mission, aiding you by fighting and supporting. She can paralyze enemies, holding them in place for you to attack. She can also revive, though it is best to still rely on Second Wind instead as she'll leave you if she's under attack.

14~15 Use Shock Weapons

Take down the vault guards with ease.

Prior to entering the vault, you'll encounter its ancient guards, the Wraiths. Wraiths do not have HP but do have shields instead. Easily take them down by bringing in Shock weapons.

Shield and Armor Wraith

You'll also encounter Possessed Wraiths and a Summoner before entering the vault. These enemies are armored and shielded, making them capable of taking more damage than the average Wraith. First bring their armor down with a Corrosive weapon, then deal the finishing blow with a Shock weapon.

Rampager Intro

The Rampager Fight Has Three Stages

Ravager Three Stages

The fight with The Rampager can take a lot of time as it becomes stronger and changes its fighting style every time it loses 1/3 of its health.

Wraiths Spawn When You're Down

Wraith Spawns

4 Wraiths that are easy to kill spawn when you go down to help you in getting a Second Wind. They also drop ammo.

Don't Rely On Maya For Revives

When you're down, it's best not to rely on Maya for a revive. She'll take her time to dispatch enemies that are attacking her before she can come to lend you a hand.

Do Not Shoot When It Transforms

Immune The Rampager

The Ravager is invulnerable during its transformations. Do not waste ammo by firing at it.

Bring LOTS Of Ammo

The Rampager can take in a lot of damage before it goes down. Upgrade your ammo capacity by buying SDUs and try to bring in as much ammo as you can before this fight.

After defeating the enemies, talk to Zer0 to break the force field. Enter the Neon Arterial and talk to Maya who is near the fast travel station. Use the Catch-a-Ride terminal to spawn the Project DD and drive to Apollyon Station.

Along the way, there will be several roadblocks. For each roadblock you need to destroy all enemy vehicles. Get to the blast door and Maya will blow the door open. After destroying two blast door, you’ll come to a point where you have to go on foot.

Make your way through the tunnel to get to the station while killing enemies along the way. Eventually, you’ll find the Apollyon Station and wait for Maya to clear a path for you.

Enter the Apollyon Station and fight your way towards the Vault through the tunnel. You’ll reach The Forgotten Basilica and make sure you are stocked as a boss fight is about to begin.

Place the key in the stand and a cutscene will play. The Vault will open and you are introduced to The Rampager

Defeat The Rampager Like all the boss fights in BL3, keep moving around the area and take advantage of your surroundings. Keep an eye on the Rampager when it climbs to platforms above the room.

This is when you need to shoot at it with everything you have as The Rampager deals little to no damage during this move. As for the weapons, try to use the ones that have high incendiary damage. Follow these tips and eventually, The Rampager will be defeated.

Once the Rampager is defeated, take the Eridian Resonator and melee the Eridium Deposit to break it open. Use the Access Lodestar and return to Maya.

As you reach Maya, a cutscene will play and Maya will be attacked by Troy and Tyreen. Maya will be killed and you need to talk to Ava and after that, return to Sanctuary.

Talk to Lilith on the bridge and you can also talk to Ava in her room but that’s optional. Talk to Ava and return to Lilith and a cutscene will play where Troy and Tyreen appear again and this concludes the mission.

That is all for our Borderlands 3 Beneath The Meridian Walkthrough guide with tips on how to defeat The Rampager.

Borderland 3: Meridian Metroplex Crew Challenges Guide

by enricofairme · Published September 14, 2019 11:32 AM · Updated September 22, 2019 1:00 PM

After you travel through the Meridian Outskirts you will arrive in Meridian Metroplex. In this large area there are six Crew Challenges for players to complete. To help you complete these challenges, use our Meridian Metroplex Crew Challenges guide below.

Meridian Metroplex Crew Challenges Locations Map

After the Meridian Outskirts you will arrive in the Meridian Metroplex. As the name suggests this is a large city area which is in relative ruins. In this area there are a number of Crew Challenges to complete. Use the map above to help you complete these.

Dead Claptrap: Stair-Climbing Update

The Dead Claptrap can be found in a stairwell at the location marked on the map above. Unfortunately its Stair-Climbing Update could not help it.

Crimson Radio: Building Beside Overpass

West of where you found the Dead Claptrap you will find a radio tower. Climb up the building to the east of it then jump over and climb up to reach the computer.

Target of Opportunity: Barron Noggin

Target of Opportunity Crew Challenges come directly from Zero. These challenges involve defeating certain enemies at a specific location. The first Target of Opportunity is Barron Noggin who resides a lower level area to the northwest of the Meridian Metroplex Fast Travel Station.

Typhon Log #1: Meridian Mercantile

On the balcony where you meet up with Zero you will find this Typhon Log.

Typhon Log #2: Halcyon Suborbital Support

You will find this Typhon Log on the way to Halcyon Suborbital Support above the Catch-A-Ride.

Hijack Target: Sonic Cyclone

In the west area of the Meridian Metroplex you will find the Sonic Cyclone behind a locked gate. To open this gate you need to open the water valves above the splits in the power cord running from the power box. Do this on the three gaps and you will open the gate. Take the Sonic Cyclone to the nearest Catch-A-Ride to complete the challenge.

Typhon Log #3: Titan’s Gate

Just before you enter Atlas HQ, you will reach an area called Titan’s Gate. Sitting in a planter in this area is the Typhon Log.

Typhon Dead Drop: On Overpass

Note : If you go to the here without gathering the logs, the chest is locked.

After you’ve gathered all three of the Typhon Logs you will unlock a Typhon Dead Drop. This Dead Drop appears on an overpass. To reach the overpass jump on top of the shipping containers located to the southeast of the Catch-A-Ride.

Meridian Metroplex Red Chest 3

BL3 Promethea MetroplexTyphonDropLoc.png

The last Red Chest for the Meridian Metroplex is located in a tricky to reach area near the center of the zone. It is also the location of a Typhon Dead Drop.

You can find it by heading to the center of the zone that leads to the Lectra City area, and is heavily defended by Maliwan troops. From the Catch-a-Ride station, go up the stairs and stick to the right side, as you'll want to use the shipping containers to climb up the far right and double back along a small platform that crosses the road below. Climb over the container blocking the way and duck under a low ceiling to reach the other side of the street where both a Red Chest and the Typhon Log have been stashed.
