Coldplay ticket prices explored as band announces new 2023 tour dates

Just after finishing the London leg of their world tour, Coldplay have announced they will be returning to the UK next year.

The best-selling band are containing their Music of the Spheres tour and have added loads of new dates across England, Wales and Europe.

Coldplay will be performing in Barcelona, Amsterdam, Naples, Milan, Copenhagen, Manchester, Cardiff and loads more between May and July 2023.

If you didn’t manage to get tickets to any of the 2022 dates, this is your chance to wear a light-up wristband and sing your heart out to Fix You.

Coldplay ticket prices explored

As always, ticket prices for Coldplay vary depending on where you want to sit, with tickets getting more expensive the better the seats.

For the UK 2022 dates, Coldplay tickets were priced at £55, £70, £85 and £120 for seated tickets and £85 for standing.

There are also booking fees on top of this and more options for VIP and exclusive tickets, and we can expect the Manchester and Cardiff dates to have similar pricing.

The European dates have all been similarly priced at €52.40, €67.52, €78.32, €106.40 and €138.80 for seats and €95.60 for standing.

Tickets for Coimbra, Barcelona, Naples, Milan, Zurich, Copenhagen, Gothenburg and Amsterdam are all expected to follow this pricing.

How to get tickets

Tickets for all the new dates go on on sale at 10 am local time on Thursday, August 25 .

This means tickets will be available at 10 am in every location. For example, Manchester tickets will go on sale at 10 am GMT, whilst Barcelona tickets will go on sale at 10 am CEST.

There is no presale or priority option for the new dates, so 10 am on Thursday is the only chance you have to get them.

To get your hands on tickets, head to Coldplay’s official tour page and press ‘get tickets’ on the date you want to attend.

On the Music of the Sphere’s tour, Coldplay play all their biggest hits including A Sky Full Of Stars, My Universe, The Scientist, Viva la Vida and loads more.

It’s also a sustainable and low-carbon tour which aims to reduce consumption, recycle, cut CO2 emissions by 50% and use green and renewable technologies.

You’re also likely to see some special guests too, with the likes of Kylie Minogue, Alan Partridge, Craig David, Natalie Imbruglia and many more making an appearance so far.

Coldplay have extended their lengthy “Music of the Spheres World Tour” with a brief run of North American dates in Fall 2023. Multi-time Grammy winner H.E.R. and 070 Shake will serve as openers.

Kicking off in Seattle on September 20th, the West Coast leg will make subsequent stops in Vancouver, San Diego, and Los Angeles. See Coldplay’s full 2023 itinerary below.

Tickets to the new dates go on sale Friday, January 27th at 10:00 a.m. PT via Ticketmaster . Alternatively, you can grab your seats via Stubhub .

Ahead of the North American dates, Coldplay have a packed schedule beginning in March with a month-long run across Brazil, during which they’ll be accompanied by Consequence ’s 2021 Band of the Year CHVRCHES. They will continue with a lengthy trek across Europe and the UK. Tickets for those dates are available now here .

The band posted the news on social media and expressed "deep regret" over the cancellations and said they hope to reschedule in 2023.

Martin was placed under strict doctor's orders to rest for three weeks beginning in early October 2022.

Their delay will affect the shows that were set to take place in Brazil , and the band said ticketholders will still be able to use them for the rescheduled shows.

However, they said they would provide full reimbursement to anyone who wanted to cancel their ticket.

In the statement, they wrote: "To everyone affected, please accept our sincere apologies, and thank you as always for your love and support."

Their tour is expected to resume on October 25 for ten shows in Buenos Aires, Argentina .

GRAMMY Award-winning H.E.R will support Coldplay for the majority of the World of the Sphere's tour in 2022.

Announcing this year's dates, the band posted the World tour dates on Instagram, with a note saying: "Playing live and finding connection with people is ultimately why we exist as a band.

"We've been planning this tour for years, and we're super excited to play songs from across our whole time together."

The band had also announced they will be working to make the tour as sustainable as possible, and their stadiums will be powered by 100 percent renewable energy.

"At the same time, we're very conscious that the planet is facing a climate crisis," they said on Instagram.

"So we've spent the last two years consulting with environmental experts to make this tour as sustainable as possible, and, just as importantly, to harness the tour's potential to push things forward.

"We won't get everything right, but we're committed to doing everything we can and sharing what we learn.

"It's a work in progress and we're really grateful for the help we've had so far.

"If you'd like to come to a show and sing with us, we're so excited to see you."

After their nationwide ‘Music of the Spheres Tour’ in 2022, Chris Martin and co. are returning to North America for seven huge concerts with special guests H.E.R. and 070 Shake from Sept. 20 through Oct. 1.

This time around, they’ll be dropping into stadiums to perform four-part shows in Seattle, Vancouver, San Diego and Pasadena .

And if you want to snag last-minute tickets to hear smash hits like “Yellow,” “The Scientist,” “Viva La Vida,” “Paradise,” “Fix You” and so many more at their ambitious live shows, it isn’t too late.

In a recent interview with  Ryan Seacrest , Coldplay shared that they’re only going to release “three more albums.”

“…but lots more tours,” Martin told Seacrest. “Sometimes you can just feel when a story is going to end and that’s what I feel about our albums.”

One of those three may be coming soon though.

“We’re finishing an album called ‘Moon Music,’” Martin told  City News . “(It) is the second ‘Music Of The Spheres’ volume, but that won’t come out for a little bit.”

Martin added, “We might start playing some songs at some point this year.”

Scalpers and resellers back in force on social media for Coldplay in KL Nov 22 concert tickets

KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 10): Tickets for Coldplay’s upcoming Music of the Spheres World Tour (MOTSWT) live in Bukit Jalil National Stadium are in abundance online.

With the show happening just around the corner on November 22, prices range from below market price to exorbitant..

In May, the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) was been instructed to take action on Coldplay ticket resale advertisements on social media by Communications and Digital Minister Fahmi Fadzil.

Although the warning slowed down reselling activities for a brief period, a brief check by Malay Mail on multiple social media and online shopping platforms recently showed the re-emergence of ticket touts selling MOTSWT tickets in abundance.

The MOTSWT tickets were initially released with seven ticket price categories priced at RM228 (Cat7), RM398 (Cat6), RM498 (Cat5), RM598 (Cat4), RM658 (Cat3), RM758 (Cat2) and RM1,288 (Cat1).

On Facebook Marketplace, more than a few users can be seen reselling tickets for Cat2, Cat5, Cat6 and Cat7 with prices ranging from RM300 up to RM2,250 per ticket with some offering up to four tickets for sale.

The majority of the resellers began their activity earlier this week.

Meanwhile Carousell, resellers who started appearing earlier this week can be seen selling tickets from Cat2 until Cat7 with prices ranging from RM228 up to RM1,300 per ticket.

On X (formerly known as Twitter) resellers and have reemerged, reselling tickets for all categories with many kicking off their activities since yesterday.

The resellers on the platform can also be seen offering up to four tickets per user with tickets priced between RM250 up to RM1,600 while some offered ‘negotiable’ prices.

MOTSWT tickets can also be found on online shopping platform Shopee as well.

Malaysian Coldplay fans were left feeling upset after many tried but failed in securing MOTSWT tickets following high traffic on the official ticketing platform, with many venting on social media after countless offers emerging online almost immediately, many at exorbitantly marked-up prices.

Ticketing website GoLiveAsia had said that a total of 1.24 million fans were in the queue on their website during the presale and general sale and that all tickets sold out within two days.
