Fall Out Boy + Bring Me the Horizon Announce 2023 North American Tour

Fall Out Boy are hitting the road with Bring Me the Horizon  this year. The two just announced a set of 2023 North American tour dates together. Alkaline Trio will join them for three of the shows. The package includes several concerts at major stadiums.

Plus, additional bands New Found Glory, Four Year Strong, The Academy Is…, Royal & The Serpent, Games We Play, Daisy Grenade and Carr will provide further support on select dates on the trek.

See the tour dates near the bottom of this post.

Last week, Fall Out Boy  teased the tour with a video showing venues displaying the newly adopted Fall Out Boy proverb,  "If you build it, they will come."  They later  shared an image resembling BMTH's  That's the Spirit album artwork with the caption, "Things are looking overcast on the horizon. Check back tomorrow [Jan. 31] to see if weather conditions improve."

Last month, Fall Out Boy announced So Much (for) Stardust , their forthcoming eighth studio album. It features " Love From the Other Side " and " Heartbreak Feels So Good ," both released in January. Fall Out Boy heavily  teased the album earlier this year.

Two weeks ago, founding Fall Out Boy guitarist Joe Trohman revealed that he was taking a break from the band for mental health reasons. Fall Out Boy singer-guitarist Patrick Stump , bassist Pete Wentz and drummer Andy Hurley supported his decision.

"It pains me to make this decision, especially when we are releasing a new album that fills me with great pride," Trohman said  in a statement on Jan. 18.

Meanwhile, Bring Me the Horizon's latest full length,  POST HUMAN: SURVIVAL HORROR came out in 2020 and has been succeeded by a number of singles, the most recent being "STraNgeRs."

FALL OUT BOY Announces Summer 2023 U.S. Tour With BRING ME THE HORIZON

Grammy Award -nominated and multi-platinum selling rock band FALL OUT BOY is set to hit the road this summer with their 2023 headline tour "So Much For (Tour) Dust" . The 25-plus-date North American trek will kick off with a show of epic proportions at Chicago's famed Wrigley Field on June 21 before continuing through cities like St. Louis, Dallas, Phoenix, Atlanta, Toronto, and concluding in Camden, New Jersey on August 6.

In addition to Wrigley Field, "So Much For (Tour) Dust" includes three more stadium stops: BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, Forest Hills Stadium in New York and Fenway Park in Boston. Complete routing is available below.

FALL OUT BOY will be joined by BRING ME THE HORIZON on most dates, as well as ALKALINE TRIO , NEW FOUND GLORY , FOUR YEARS STRONG , THE ACADEMY IS… , ROYAL & THE SERPENT , GAMES WE PLAY , DAISY GRENADE and CARR on select shows throughout the tour's run.

Ticket presales for "So Much For (Tour) Dust" go on sale Thursday, February 2 beginning 10 a.m. local time. General tickets will be available for purchase beginning Friday, February 3 at 10 a.m. local time.

"So Much For (Tour) Dust" , presented by Live Nation , is in support of FALL OUT BOY 's forthcoming new album "So Much (For) Stardust" , which arrives March 24, 2023 on Fueled By Ramen / Elektra / DCD2 Records . The record was produced by Neal Avron .

Last Wednesday, FALL OUT BOY returned to their roots for a surprise homecoming show at Chicago's legendary 1,000-capacity Metro — announced only two days prior, the show immediately sold out. Just down the street from Wrigley Field, the band first played the venue in September 2002, a pivotal gig that FALL OUT BOY 's Patrick Stump jokingly called back to for the packed crowd two decades later: "Twenty years ago, I told my mom I was going to take a semester off [college] because we were headlining Metro and I wanted to see how that would work out." FALL OUT BOY 's Pete Wentz expressed the band's enduring relationship with the venue: "Walking up those stairs is the closest thing this band will have to church."

Variety hailed the night as a "triumphant hometown show," noting that "there are concerts, and there are events, and a hometown show in Chicago from [ FALL OUT BOY ] is definitely in the latter category." Over the course of the night, the band ripped through a mix of their biggest hits and deepest cuts, with Illinois Entertainer praising the set as "taking full advantage of both the intimate venue and the loyal hometown crowd to deliver a once-in-a-decade event."

The show also featured the live public debut of both "Love From The Other Side" and "Heartbreak Feels So Good" , two tracks from the new album and the latter of which was released the morning of the show. The Chicago Sun-Times lauded the two tracks, noting the new material "takes all they've learned and accomplished the past 20 years and combines it with their unflinching roots for an ultimate glow-up."

Prior to the show, the city was enveloped with teasing signage across city buildings and stations along the "L." Foreshadowing the impending tour announcement, the marquees at Metro and Wrigley both featured curiously complimentary nods to the 1989 film "Field Of Dreams" .

FALL OUT BOY first hit the stage in 2023 with a dynamic set at iHeartRadio ALTer EGO in Los Angeles, California on January 14, just days after officially revealing the release date for "Love From The Other Side" .

FALL OUT BOY most recently co-headlined "The Hella Mega Tour" in July 2021 alongside GREEN DAY and WEEZER , playing live in front of over one million fans on a sold-out global stadium tour. The U.S. leg included numerous sold-out stadium gigs — including renowned venues like Wrigley Field, Boston's Fenway Park and Los Angeles' Dodger Stadium. Critical and fan acclaim poured in, with USA Today hailing it "the most stacked line-up of any rock tour in 2021," Billboard noting that each night was "serving up a buffet of hits in front of one of the largest concert crowds," and Rolling Stone calling it "wildly entertaining." The tour was nominated for both "Major Tour Of The Year" and "Best Rock Tour" at the Pollstar Awards in 2021. The international leg of the tour took place throughout the summer of 2022.

"So Much (For) Stardust" is FALL OUT BOY 's eighth studio album and first since 2018's "Mania" , which garnered a Grammy nomination for "Best Rock Album" and marked their third consecutive and fourth overall No. 1 album.

Speaking to NME earlier this month about their forthcoming new album , ‘So Much (For) Stardust’ – Out March 24 – Fall Out Boy compared it to the spirit of their divisive 2009 album ‘Folie à Deux’, though said it’s “it’s not a throwback record”.

“I didn’t want to go back to a specific style, but I wanted to imagine what would it have sounded like if we had made a record right after ‘Folie à Deux’ [Fall Out Boy’s divisive 2009 album] instead of taking a break for a few years,” frontman Patrick Stump said. “It was like exploring the multiverse. It was an experiment in seeing what we would have done.”

Fall Out Boy, Bring Me The Horizon, Royal and The Serpent & Carr at Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater

Considered one of the best contemporary rock bands, Fall Out Boy is one of those bands that stood the test of time. From their humble beginnings in the early 2000s, the Patrick Stump-led band has produced songs that have become a part of American pop culture. Thanks to their catchy poprock tunes, the band was able to gain commercial success and cement its name in the music industry. Apart from winning awards and being nominated in several award-giving bodies, such as Alternative Press Music Awards, the Grammy's, and MTV Music Awards, the Illinois native rock band continued to cement its relevance over the years by continually reinventing their sound, giving fans a wide array of albums that showed their top-notch musicality, songwriting skills, and creativity as a band.

This 2023, Fall Out Boy has released singles that will be part of their upcoming album "So Much (for) Stardust." Fans were quick to notice that the songs "Love From The Other Side" and "Heartbreak Feels So Good" sound like old FOB songs from their earlier album, which is a pleasant surprise for most die-hard fans. The album will be released on March 24 this year.

In conjunction with the album release, the band also announced that they will be embarking on an extensive tour starting this summer. The band will start touring in June to promote their album. Alkaline Trio, Bring Me the Horizon, New Found Glory, the Academy Is…, Royal & the Serpent, Daisy Grenade, Carr, Games We Play, and Four Year Strong will be supporting Fall Out Boy on some dates.

On July 22, the band will be performing at the Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater. They will be joined by the rock band Bring Me The Horizon. Known for songs like "Can You Feel My Heart," "Diamonds Aren't Forever," "Drown," "Throne," and "It Never Ends," Bring Me The Horizon is an English rock band that has continued to rise to the pantheon of rock bands with their tasteful grinding death metal music. The show will be opened by singer-songwriter Royal and The Serpent and Carr.

If you are looking for the best rock concert experience this summer, this is the show for you. Click the "Get Tickets" link to order your tickets now.

Fall Out Boy

Fall Out Boy announced the dates for their So Much For ( Tour ) Dust North American tour on Tuesday morning (Jan. 31). The 29-city tour in support of their upcoming So Much (For) Stardust album (March 24) is slated to kick off in the band’s home town on June 21 with a gig at the iconic home of the Chicago Cubs: Wrigley Field.

FOB kicked off the Stardust era in style last week with a surprise homecoming show at Chicago’s 1,100-capacity Metro, just over 20 years after their very first gig at the legendary club, which is just around the corner from Wrigley Field. The Metro show featured the live debut of two Stardust singles, “Love From the Other Side” and “Heartbreak Feels So Good,” as well as the live debut of the band’s current configuration, which, for the first time since their founding, will not feature guitarist Joe Trohman, who recently announce that he was taking an  indefinite mental health hiatus .

In his stead, singer Patrick Stump is pulling double-duty on lead vocals and electric guitar alongside bassist Pete Wentz and drummer Andy Hurley. As was the case during a pair of previous promotional appearances, the group got some  assistance  from longtime guitar tech Ben Young, who played lead guitar from the side of the stage; at press time a spokesperson for the group had not responded to a request about whether Trohman will be back in the fold for the tour.

Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz jams out onstage.

Leading up to the announcement of Fall Out Boy’s “So Much For (Tour) Dust,” the band teased fans on Twitter.

“Things are looking overcast on the horizon,” the group tweeted on Jan. 30. “Check back tomorrow to see if weather conditions improve.”

Lo and behold, the very next day, the band shared “Rise and shine! Today’s forecast is sunny with a chance of a tour announcement.”

Now, that the tour has been announced some exciting details have come to light.

Most importantly, we now know when and where Patrick Stump, Pete Wentz and co. are headed this summer.

At the time of publication, the emo icons have announced 30 North American concert dates including shows at Forest Hills’ Forest Hills Stadium on Aug. 1, Darien Lake’s Darien Lake Performing Arts Center on Aug. 4, Holmdel’s PNC Bank Arts Center on Aug. 5 and Camden’s Freedom Mortgage Pavilion on Aug. 6.

It should also be noted the “Sugar, We’re Goin’ Down” group is bringing a number of exciting support acts along for the ride.

Joining the band at all shows are Bring Me The Horizon, Royal and the Serpent. Alkaline Trio, New Found Glory, Four Years Strong and The Academy Is will perform on select dates.

And while Fall Out Boy’s tour was just announced, tickets can be secured as early as today .

Although inventory isn’t available on Ticketmaster until Friday, Feb. 3, fans who want to ensure they have tickets ahead of time can purchase on sites like Vivid Seats  before seats are officially on sale.

Vivid Seats is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

They have a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and will be delivered before the event.

Fall Out Boy 2023 tour schedule

The Chicago natives are kicking off their tour in a big way.

On June 21, the quartet launch the “So Much For (Tour) Dust” at the Cubs’ home field aka Wrigley Field .

From there, the band will hit major venues in Phoenix (June 30), Los Angeles (July 2), Charlotte (July 21), Toronto (July 30) and Boston (Aug. 2).

Fall Out Boy closes their run of shows at Hartford, CT’s Xfinity Center on Oct. 15.

A complete calendar featuring all Fall Out Boy tour dates, venues, show start times and links to buy tickets can be found here .

Fall Out Boy new music

The band that brought the world “Dance, Dance” won’t just be trotting out the hits you know and love on tour.

In addition to announcing their upcoming tour, they also released two singles in preparation for their yet-to-hit-the-shelves, new album “So Much (For) Dust.”

Make sure to check out “Love From The Other Side” and “Heartbreak Feels So Good” before the tour so you can sing along when you hear them live.

Fall Out Boy opening acts

As we pointed out earlier, Fall Out Boy is bringing along a number of early-aughts mainstays on their 2023 tour.

In the off chance you’re not familiar with their work, here’s what you need to know about each of them.

Bring Me The Horizon pivoted early in their career from deathcore to metalcore with elements of pop, classical and electronica. This melodious turn can certainly be heard in their most popular song, the anthemic “Can You Feel My Heart.” Their most recent record “Post Human: Survival Horror” can be heard here .

Royal and the Serpent is led by New Jersey-born singer Ryan Santiago. Santiago, 28, saw her career take off after the success of the hypnotic single “Overwhelmed,” a tinkling, high-wire opus that switches tempos throughout taking listeners on a musical adventure through its two minute and 40 second runtime. Click here to check out her entire back catalog .

Alkaline Trio has been keeping punk alive for years. The trio led by Matt Skiba has been active since 1996 and has amassed major commercial hits like “Mercy Me,” “Radio” and “Stupid Kid” over their four decades in the biz. Although they haven’t released an album since 2018’s “Is This Thing Cursed?” you should certainly check that record out if you’re looking for an introduction to the group’s pop-punk.

New Found Glory won’t just be going on tour with Fall Out Boy in 2023. No, the punks are headliners in their own right and will play acoustic sets on tour in honor of their “Make The Most Of It”  album this year from Jan. 31 through March 22 . Also, we’d be absolutely remiss if we didn’t recommend checking out their smash hit “My Friends Over You” right now. Give it a listen.

Four Years Strong are hard to categorize. Their heavy sound could be dubbed pop punk, melodic hardcore or easy core. We prefer to just say that they rock. Listen to the pulsing, non-stop thrash of “We All Float Down Here” if you don’t believe us. Then, fire up their 2020 album “Brain Pain” to really get yours socks rocked.

The Academy Is also hails from Chicago just like Fall Out Boy. Although they identify as emo, their sound is fairly traditional pop-punk. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. Catchy singles like “About A Girl” go down like a spoonful of sugar. Amazingly, they haven’t dropped a new record since 2008’s “Fast Times At Barrington High” but that’s no problem — the album holds up.

Other early ’00s rockers on tour in 2023

Even though Panic! At The Disco just disbanded, many of the biggest groups from the ’90s and ’00s will hit major venues all over North America this year giving Millennials the perfect hit of nostalgia.

Here are just five of the biggest tours you need to keep an eye on in the next few months.

• Blink 182

•  Paramore

•  Arctic Monkeys

•  Muse

•  The Killers

FOB will be hitting the road with Horizon and Royal & The Serpent, plus at select shows they’ll also be joined by Alkaline Trio , New Found Glory , Four Year Strong , The Academy Is… , Games We Play, Daisy Grenade and CARR.

New album so much (for) stardust arrives march 24.

GRAMMY Award-nominated and multi-platinum selling rock band Fall Out Boy is set to hit the road this summer with their 2023 headline tour So Much For (Tour) Dust . The 25+ date North American trek will kick off with a show of epic proportions at Chicago’s famed Wrigley Field on June 21 before continuing through cities like St. Louis, Dallas, Phoenix, Atlanta, Toronto, and concluding in Camden, NJ on August 6.

In addition to Wrigley Field, So Much For (Tour) Dust includes three more stadium stops: BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, Forest Hills Stadium in New York and Fenway Park in Boston. Complete routing is available below.

Fall Out Boy will be joined by Bring Me The Horizon on most dates, as well as Alkaline Trio, New Found Glory, Four Years Strong, The Academy Is…, Royal & The Serpent, Games We Play, Daisy Grenade and Carr on select shows throughout the tour’s run.

Ticket pre-sales for So Much For (Tour) Dust go on sale Thursday, February 2 beginning 10am local time. General tickets will be available for purchase beginning Friday, February 3 at 10am local time. For all dates and details, please visit www.falloutboy.com/tour .

So Much For (Tour) Dust , presented by Live Nation, is in support of Fall Out Boy’s forthcoming new album So Much (For) Stardust , which arrives March 24, 2023 on Fueled By Ramen/Elektra/DCD2 Records. The record was produced by Neal Avron. Pre-order So Much (For) Stardust here .

Last Wednesday, the band returned to their roots for a surprise homecoming show at Chicago’s legendary 1,000-capacity Metro – announced only two days prior, the show immediately sold out. Just down the street from Wrigley Field, the band first played the venue in September 2002, a pivotal gig that FOB’s Patrick Stump jokingly called back to for the packed crowd two decades later: “Twenty years ago, I told my mom I was going to take a semester off [college] because we were headlining Metro and I wanted to see how that would work out.” FOB’s Pete Wentz expressed the band’s enduring relationship with the venue: “Walking up those stairs is the closest thing this band will have to church.”

Variety hailed the night as a “triumphant hometown show,” noting that “there are concerts, and there are events, and a hometown show in Chicago from [Fall Out Boy] is definitely in the latter category.” Over the course of the night, the band ripped through a mix of their biggest hits and deepest cuts, with Illinois Entertainer praising the set as “taking full advantage of both the intimate venue and the loyal hometown crowd to deliver a once-in-a-decade event.”

The show also featured the live public debut of both “Love From The Other Side” (listen here ) and “Heartbreak Feels So Good” (listen here ), two tracks from the new album and the latter of which was released the morning of the show. The Chicago Sun-Times lauded the two tracks, noting the new material “takes all they’ve learned and accomplished the past 20 years and combines it with their unflinching roots for an ultimate glow-up.”

Prior to the show, the city was enveloped with teasing signage across city buildings and stations along the ‘L.” Foreshadowing the impending tour announcement, the marquees at Metro and Wrigley both featured curiously complimentary nods to the 1989 film Field of Dreams .

Fall Out Boy first hit the stage in 2023 with a dynamic set at iHeartRadio ALTer EGO in Los Angeles, CA on January 14, just days after officially revealing the release date for “Love From The Other Side.”

Fall Out Boy most recently co-headlined THE HELLA MEGA TOUR in July 2021 alongside Green Day & Weezer, playing live in front of over 1 million fans on a sold-out global stadium tour. The U.S. leg included numerous sold-out stadium gigs – including renowned venues like Wrigley Field, Boston’s Fenway Park and Los Angeles’ Dodger Stadium. Critical and fan acclaim poured in, with USA Today hailing it “the most stacked line-up of any rock tour in 2021,” Billboard noting that each night was “serving up a buffet of hits in front of one of the largest concert crowds,” and Rolling Stone calling it “wildly entertaining.” The tour was nominated for both Major Tour of the Year and Best Rock Tour at the Pollstar Awards in 2021. The international leg of the tour took place throughout the summer of 2022.

So Much (For) Stardust is Fall Out Boy’s eighth studio album and first since 2018’s M A  N  I  A, which garnered a GRAMMY nomination for Best Rock Album and marked their third consecutive and fourth overall #1 album.

Really great gig. The O2 was overpriced as always and badly organised.

We missed the very first support band but against the current were pretty energetic and fun.

Fall Out Boy, burst onto the stage with a lot of energy and pyrotechnics.

I did however feel a little disengaged with them, but I think that is just what you get from stadium shows.

The crowd was unusual to me as there wasnt a whole lot of "rock" fans so not the normal hustle and bustle, moshing or jumping. Just a lot of people standing about and singing. It was disappointing to learn that Pete sings a lot less in person than I though he did. But generally a good gig, personally however I am glad that the ticket was a gift because if I had paid full price for that level of energy I would have been a bit annoyed.

It was the end of the tour so I understand that its tiring af, so not truly upset.

Really weird that for "champion" a song I had not yet heard that they had an entire montage about princess Dianna. Wrong generation there buddy. And to show "driving" and crash footage just seemed a little messed up. I dont know. And to follow that with a song with the words crash in it, again, seemed weird.

Overall, interesting show, I would see them again but perhaps only at a festival. Little lacking in energy but hey, they still came all this way to play.

When I heard that Fall Out Boy was going on tour, I knew I had to go see them no matter what! I absolutely love FOB, and have been dying to see them live!!!! <3

Getting tickets was such a suspense because they sold so fast, but I managed to nab one of the last GA Floor tickets which I was super stoked about. Then the question was how I was going to get to Hollywood FL all the way from the Tampa area since I don't have a car. (Merely a minor technicality lol ;) )

Ended up driving down with a friend so that was great. Met some awesome people while waiting in line to go in

Then the concert itself. Well it goes without saying that FOB were absolutely incredible!!! The show was amazing and Patrick, Pete, Joe and Andy are such talented and awesome people!!!! I was up on the barricade on Pete's side, and he was literally right there in front of me!!!!! Still can't believe that I was actually there and actually saw them! When they were coming out on stage, there was a picture of a mountain and then from the ceiling bubble bits of foam came floating down over the whole arena.FOB made it snow in Florida!!!! It was magical, the magic of FOB. All the lights and special effects were so good! Then for the cherry on top of the whole experience, I managed to get a guitar pick (after some shameless begging hahahaha). :D

Yep, great concert, great band, can't wait for the next time!!!

From left, Nile Rodgers, Chappell Roan and Diplo are among the more than 280 musicians who signed a letter to senators in support of concert ticketing reforms.

What do Billie Eilish, Dave Matthews and Diplo have in common?

As of Thursday, they are among the more than 280 popular musicians who have signed a letter urging lawmakers to help reform the concert ticketing system.

Other prominent signatories include Becky G, Duran Duran, Fall Out Boy, Finneas, Graham Nash, Green Day, Nile Rodgers, ODESZA, Chappell Roan, Cyndi Lauper, Indigo Girls, Jason Mraz, Sia, Sylvan Esso and Lorde.

"We are joining together to say that the current system is broken: predatory resellers and secondary platforms engage in deceptive ticketing practices to inflate ticket prices and deprive fans of the chance to see their favorite artists at a fair price," the letter reads.

Live Nation and Ticketmaster tell Biden they're going to show fees upfront

Live Nation and Ticketmaster tell Biden they're going to show fees upfront

It goes on to say that the use of illegal bots, speculative ticket listings and deceitful advertising causes "real harm," including severing the relationship between artists and fans — "which forms the backbone of the entire music industry" — and allowing resellers to profit more than the artists themselves.

The artists are asking the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation to help fix those problems by supporting the Fans First Act , which was introduced by a bipartisan group of senators last December. It was referred to and remains before the committee, which would need to approve it to bring it to a floor vote.

"We, as artists, as music lovers, and as concert attendees ourselves, urge you to support the Fans First Act to combat predatory resellers' deceptive ticketing practices and the secondary platforms, which also profit from these practices," the letter continues. "Predatory resellers should not be more profitable than the people dedicating their lives to their art."

Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., who along with Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, is a co-sponsor of the bill, said in a statement Thursday that she will "keep working to pass this legislation."

"Buying a ticket to see your favorite artist in concert is like going through a gauntlet for too many Americans," Klobuchar said. "This is hurting music fans and it's hurting artists. That's why our bipartisan legislation to improve the ticketing experience has growing support, including hundreds of major musicians."

The Fans First Act focuses on three priorities : ticket sales transparency, consumer protection and stopping bad actors.

It would require live event ticket sellers and resellers to disclose more information about ticket costs and seat location, refund customers the full ticket price when events are canceled and create a reporting website for fans to file complaints.

"Even better, it backs all these regulations up with clear penalties and enforcement," the letter says.

The letter was organized by Fix the Tix , a coalition of over two dozen live event industry organizations led by the National Independent Venue Association (NIVA).

Since its formation in the fall of 2023, it has called on Congress to enact legislation that would protect fans from price gouging, ban fake tickets and ticket-buying bots, end fraudulent resale practices and ensure price transparency, among other reforms.

So how did this letter come together, and why now?

NIVA Executive Director Stephen Parker told NPR over email that industry groups representing artists — such as the Recording Academy and Music Managers Forum - U.S. — are a "critical part" of Fix the Tix's efforts.

"Artists engaged in those organizations heard about our efforts and volunteered to lend their voice to getting comprehensive ticketing reform passed," he said. "The letter is being sent now because time is running out in this Congress for the Senate and House to meaningfully address the predatory resale platforms and ticket brokers that plague fans and artists."

Ticketmaster and its parent company, Live Nation Entertainment, have come under increased scrutiny from artists and fans in recent years who accuse the companies of maintaining a monopoly over the industry ever since their controversial 2010 merger. Live Nation has repeatedly denied the allegations.

The Senate's Ticketmaster hearing featured plenty of Taylor Swift puns and protesters

In particular, Ticketmaster's chaotic sale of Taylor Swift Eras Tour tickets in November 2022 left scores of fans empty-handed and outraged. Several state attorneys general launched investigations, a group of Swifties sued the companies for fraud and the Senate grilled Live Nation executives at a January 2023 hearing.

Lawmakers have since introduced several aptly-named bills to reform various aspects of the industry, like the TICKET Act and the BOSS and SWIFT Act .

For its part, Live Nation expressed support for the Fans First Act when it was first introduced in the Senate in December.

"We believe it's critical Congress acts to protect fans and artists from predatory resale practices, and have long supported a federal all-in pricing mandate, banning speculative ticketing and deceptive websites, as well as other measures," it said in a statement shared with NPR.

The Justice Department is said to be ramping up its antitrust probe into Live Nation, with unnamed sources telling the Wall Street Journal and Axios in recent weeks that the agency could file a lawsuit as soon as May.
