Kotokuin Temple

Contrasts of Japan end Tokyo

Enjoyed the tour, good organisation. Had to change guides but that was no issue. Also the group kept changing so that was a bit uncomfortable. I would like to have had more time at each destination and more time in the mornings. Also, including a JR pass to use the speed trains would increase the quality. Driving around in a bus is time wasted especially between Tokyo and Kyoto.

A good intro to Japan. Short daily orientation and tours leaving most afternoons and evenings (if one so desired) to one’s own devices. Good hotels most nights, w some authentic or western (mixed options) lodgings w onsen. Most transport needs were accommodated in trains (the best), and some city buses where more effective. I added extra days, both front and back for extra exploration. Japan is surprisingly clean, safe, orderly, polite (to a fault) and relatively cheap (I found). Our guide did very well, and her English good and improved as we went along.

Epic 13-Day Japan Budget Tour: Odyssey Across the Land of the Rising Sun

I'm really glad I did this tour. The itinerary is excelent. It covers a lot and it was very well planned. It might feel that we need to rush sometimes but we always had some free time to explore most places we visited or free time in the end of the the day. Our tourguide, Ricardo, was very nice and funny. He would always provide several recommentations of things to see or were to eat in the places we visited and was always available to answer questions or te help. It was a big group (17 in total) but we got along pretty well. People were nice and very respectful. Most of them solo travelers. I would recommend this tour. Be prepared to carry your luggage between places so it's better to travel light (but some had big suitcases or more than one bag). We stayed in dorms in most lodgings (females separated from males), but people can choose to have private rooms (al least in most places). I loved the sushi class, using an onsen, sleeping in a ryokan and the meditation session in a temple. There's also some optional activities.

All Inclusive Japan Classics- 9 days

I toured with my sons, aged 18 and 21. The whole tour was perfectly paced. Comfortable accommodations in great locations including a couple nights in traditional rooms. Outstanding food every meal. Visited temples, shrines and castles everyone needs to see. Even touristy-experiences (rickshaw ride, silk dyeing, dressing in kimono in Iyashi No Sato, which we were reluctant to remove!) were entertaining. We were not prepared for the incredible awe of the Itchiku Kubota museum. We took advantage of onsens whenever we could. We watched the sun rise on Mt Fuji and visited Kiyomizu Temple in perfect light, before the crowds arrived. I took private time to visit the Hoshun-in bonsai garden at Daitoku-ji Temple in Kyoto and had the entire garden to myself for an hour. Our guide Eriko was extremely well-versed, adaptable and gracious. We learned so much about the Sengoku and Edo periods, as well as the Meiji restoration and even 20th/21st century Japan. For a first introduction to this fascinating and ancient part of the world this tour far exceeded my expectations. Supera found all the right touches and class without any wasted effort. I couldn’t recommend this tour higher - extremely well done from start to finish.

• Coach / Bus

Central Japan End Kyoto

The choice of sites to visit and timings (crucial on a tour) was excellent, the travel arrangements worked very well and most hotels were very good. The variety of restaurants stopped at was very varied and interesting, and restroom breaks were well judged. At Kawaguchiko we were a bit too old for the traditional Japanese futon beds and booked in nextdoor instead, but the hotel chosen was charming, nice rooms and amazing views of Mount Fuji and the lake. The Japanese dinner there was good fun. What could be better: the admin before the tour, with slow responses and some points missed (e.g. how many rooms we had booked); the first evening walk about in downtown Shinjuku was rather seedy, and also hard work for a first night after flights; several of us did not like the food at the traditional dinner; we would have liked more interesting extension options, in the end we planned our own, which was hard work but went well; the complexity of the Welcome to Japan forms should have been indicated to all on the tour well in advance; the guide was interesting but for some hard to hear except in the front part of the coach as the only speaker was at the front, he could be too chatty at times, and some felt his views on equality issues could be enhanced; quite a lot of walking is involved, which some of our party found a bit too much. Maybe the info could be clear about the distances typically walked each day Overall though it was a great introduction to Japan and we very much recommend it to all. Fabulous memories!

Premium Japan

We had an amazing holiday. Japan was all we had hoped for. The group worked so well, we all got on and became good friends. Shingo, our guide was totally great. He was so pleasant and helpful. His English not brilliant but he did a great job. We felt maybe a little more information on places and sights might have been good. He was constantly helping us all and looking after us. He made great suggestions for meals and always checked up on us all, even when we split into smaller groups for the evening. He went way beyond what he could have done and made everyone feel safe and well looked after. He even helped booking all our onward travel and ensured we were all ok on the day. Wonderful man!! The hotels were nice, if a little small with almost no storage in most of them! Breakfasts were generally very good. We saw and did so much. In fact, we felt sometimes it was a little too much to fit into each day, and either missed some things out or were too rushed, missing stopping and looking at leisure at things and shops etc. Shingo was so patient, even when we caused him to run a little late! Due to distances covered we spent a lot of time travelling which was an interesting experience. Just meant time at destinations was a little short. As Most of us were older we all felt very tired at the end of each day and struggled especially when we had to carry back packs whilst waiting to be reunited with luggage. Dont know what the answer is, if extra days added, then expense goes up. If itinerary cut back, then Interesting sights missed out! Overall, a truly great trip. We enjoyed it all!

The guide was the best

The tour was really only 6/7 days. I If you didn't do any of the optional tours on offer you only had a guide for 4 days! Having said that the options to Hiroshima and the day tour around Tokyo were very good. The accommodation was very good although the rooms were small. Our guide, Yusuke, was excellent. He spoke very good English and had a very broad knowledge of Japanese history and culture. We loved Japan. ?

Japan was so fun! A looooooot of free time so do you researches about what to do and visit in every city. Would have love more ''organised'' activities (like a dinner every night with the group,...). Compared to other G Adventures tour I did in the past, I felt that this group was less stick together since there was only a few group activities.

Important information, maximum group size.

The maximum number of participants will not exceed 26 people during your Japan tour. Your group may be joined with other tour groups during the tour. Please note that your bus and tour guide may be changed if other groups join the tour.

Single Supplement

Single travelers are required to pay a single supplement in order to guarantee single room accommodation.

We request one suitcase, one carry-on bag, and an overnight bag per person. The tote bag we provide can be used to hold any small merchandise/souvenirs purchased during your tour. When you check out, bring your luggage to the lobby and the bus driver will assist in loading it onto the bus. When you arrive at the next hotel, the bus driver will unload your luggage for you to bring to your room. Please note: The maximum weight of a checked in bag is typically 20 Kilograms or 44 Pounds. You will be traveling with your luggage except during the bullet train ride (if applicable).

Accommodation

All hotel rooms come with a full bathroom and room amenities free of charge unless stated otherwise.

Transportation

All motor coaches come equipped with air-conditioning, plenty of space, comfortable seats, and Wi-Fi.

International Flights

All of our tours begin in either Tokyo or Osaka/Kyoto. When beginning or ending a tour in Tokyo, please book flights to or from Narita International Airport or Haneda International Airport. For tours beginning or ending in Osaka/Kyoto, please book flights to or from Kansai International Airport or Itami Airport. We recommend you do not book your flights until the tour status changes from Book Now to Guaranteed Departure . You can also contact us if you would like for Japan Deluxe Tour's to arrange your flights.

Fitness & Shoes

Traveling and visiting sights in Japan includes a good amount of walking. To fully enjoy the tour, please be prepared to keep up with the pace of the group, climb stairs with no difficulty, and wear comfortable shoes for all day use.

Guests with tattoos may not be able to use the hot-springs or onsens while in Japan. We apologize if you are unable to enjoy this experience during your stay.

Meals & Dietary Requirements

One of the best resorts we’ve stayed in so far. We took 3d2n package with breakfast, lunch & din provided. Food given large quantity, esp seafood & service was fine. Stayed in Garden Villa chalet. Very clean & comfortable. Housekeeping crew came to clean, very prompt & quick. Clean & nice beach, about 20 paces away from room, as well as clean pool, about 10 paces from room. Surrounding well kept. Resort is, of course, not new but it’s more than adequate to unwind & relax. Came during off-peak season & feels like you have whole resort to yourself! Thank you to staff for memorable holiday.

Booking deposit* (non-refundable) of the full payment should be paid after your booking has been verified by Al Masyhur International Travel & Tours. Al Masyhur International Travel & Tours reserves the right to cancel your booking if you fail to make a full-payment 45 days before travelling dates.

• Upon registration and confirmation of airline ticket request, Traveller must remit full payment for airline ticket according to the dateline as advised by the person-in-charge in AMI Travel.
• For ground and other payments, traveler must remit booking deposit (a 100 % non-refundable) of 30% from the package price (excluding airline ticket) within three (3) days after registration or according to the dateline advised by person- in- charge in AMI. Balance payment must be made thirty (45) days prior to departure date or according to the dateline as advised by the person-in-charge in AMI.
• No changes can be made within 48 days before departure
• If participant wants to come back later or earlier than the expected date of arrival in Malaysia, participant must send an e-mail or letter 45 days before the travelling dates and it is subject to the discretion of Al Masyhur International Travel & Tours. Cancellation

• Booking cancellation from the participant should be done through email or letter and must be sent to Al Masyhur International Travel & Tours for avoiding any misunderstanding

• Al Masyhur International Travel & Tours reserves the right to amend the itinerary without prior notice.
• Malaysian traveller, travel insurance is compulsory for international packages. Travel insurance click here.
• There will be no tour leader from Al Masyhur International Travel & Tours that will join this tour.
• Refund will not be paid immediately and will take more than 2 months.
• All hotel and flight details are for reference only and subject to change till you get the verification from Al Masyhur International Travel & Tours.
• Not all hotels provide electric kettle and ironing facilities. It is advisable to bring your own.
• Not all hotels have triple room. So that, triple sharing room is based on twin sharing room with extra bed. Each room must be at least 2 adults paying full fare then only follow by child fare.
