We had a BLAST! My 7 year old,who knows pretty much all the words to all their songs, said "it was better than perfect"! This was our first opportunity to see The Lacs live, we'll definitely be back next year!

I could tell they are truly a good hearted, down to earth group. They dont pretend to be someone they're not and are kind a giving.

My son introduced me to them when their first album came out and I was immediately hooked.

I'vebeen to a log of concerts in my life, none compared to the concert we attended last night.

I only have one suggestion, please get someone to help the the sweet lady selling merchandise. Bless her heart, she remained very kind and polite while dealing with a cram packed area. She was even taking care of everyone in order as best she could. Kudos to her!

Way to "Keep it Country" and keepin it real!

We also enjoyed 3 AND TWENTY. A fabulous evening with 2 magnificent bands!

I've been listening to the Lacs for a little over a year now. Just saw them for the first time live at South Fork Dirt Riders in Taylorville, IL with the Moonshine Bandits and Charlie Farley. Hands down, One of the best shows I have ever seen and well worth the 7.5 hour drive from Waterford, MI. Looking forward to seeing them again.

This was the first show we have been to and I can't wait to see y'all again for us there is only one way to see the lacs and that is live if u ain't seen them live u need to great show love it keep it redneck till next time. Y'all need to come to Columbia.

I seen these guys in taylorville IL and they were absolutely awesome. And afterwards they are very polite. They are just plain awesome love them and would see them again in a heart beat no matter what the price of the tickets.

This was my first time seeing The Lacs and it was awesome. Great music and good atmosphere at Cotton Eyed Joes. I would definitely go see them again. Oh their opening band was really good to (Hard Target).

Buckcherry and The Lacs Announce Winter 2022 Co-Headline Tour Dates

After playing 100 shows in 2021, Buckcherry kicks off 2022 with a co-headlining run with country rap rock band The Lacs.

The 15-date tour starts January 7 in Kyle, Texas. Buckcherry will perform an additional eight shows headlining. Core will support on all shows. Tickets for all shows go on sale this Friday and VIP packages can be purchased at Buckcherry.com .

Buckcherry continues to support their ninth studio album Hellbound ,  which was released in June. The band is working on tour plans for the remainder of 2022 and these will be announced at a future date.

The Lacs have been on a headline tour since June of 2021 in support of their most recent album  Rise and Shine . New singles and more 2022 tour dates will be announced in the coming weeks.

2024 FOX 9 Town Ball Tour schedule

FOX 9 is back on the road for the seventh season of the Town Ball Tour this summer.

MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) - The lineup is set for the 2024 FOX 9 Town Ball Tour . 

FOX 9 is back on the road for the seventh season of the Town Ball Tour this summer. First up on June 5, FOX 9 travels south of the Twin Cities to visit the renovated Memorial Park in New Prague, home of the Orioles. 

Then it's up to the northwest to Eden Valley on June 12, where the Hawks dominated their division last season with a stunning 12-4 overall record. On June 12, check out FOX 9's first-ever doubleheader extravaganza near Mill Lacs Lake in Pierz. 

The tour continues on June 26 in southern Minnesota in Gibbon, where the Reds will be hunting for their first state tournament appearance since 2017. On July 3, 30 minutes south of the Twin Cities, FOX 9 rolls into Elko, where the Express have made 15 state tournament appearances. 

Then on July 10, FOX 9 is in LeSueur, just southwest of the Twin Cities metro, to see the Braves play at Bruce Frank Field with their brand-new scoreboard. 

The final stop this summer is July 17 at Riverside Park in Springfield, home of the Tigers. 

FOX 9 has visited 50 ballparks since the start of the annual tour in 2018.

Zendaya Praises ‘Iconic’ Venus and Serena Williams: My ‘Understanding of Tennis Was Them’ (Exclusive)

Of the Williams sisters, ‘Challengers’ star Zendaya says, “I admire both of them so much”

For Zendaya , two “iconic” women served as the biggest influences on her tennis movie Challengers : Venus and Serena Williams . 

“My only understanding of tennis as a kid growing up was them,” the actress-producer, 27, tells PEOPLE of the superstar sisters. 

“When I thought of tennis as a kid, they would be that for me,” she adds. “They are my entry point to understanding anything tennis.”

That came in handy on Challengers (in theaters now), from director Luca Guadagnino and screenwriter Justin Kuritzkes. In the sports drama, Zendaya plays Tashi Duncan, a teenaged tennis prodigy who becomes enmeshed in a complicated romantic three-way triangle that lasts years. Josh O’Connor plays her one-time boyfriend Patrick, while Mike Faist plays her eventual husband Art. 

In addition to training in tennis for months, Zendaya says she and her costars “did a lot more research” on Venus, 43, and Serena, 42.

“They are iconic, and I admire both of them so much, not just for what they've accomplished in the sport, but I think beyond: their impact and their significance for so many people, specifically Black women," she says.

The Williams sisters broke ground in the predominantly White and male sport throughout the 1990s and 2000s, becoming household names as they won Grand Slam titles and Olympic gold medals. As Zendaya points out, “It's hard not to be just inspired by them in general… just in life.” 

That goes for Venus and Serena’s legacies as fashionistas too, of course. Amid a succession of tennis-themed fashion during the Challengers press tour, Zendaya and longtime stylist Law Roach debuted a recreation of the sisters’ iconic Vogue photoshoot from 1998. 

In photos shared on Instagram by Roach on Thursday, April 18, the Dune star perches on a couch in a massive black and white striped gown and a beaded wig, echoing the Williams’ 1998 portrait in matching black-and-white Carolina Herrera gowns and beaded hair.

To embody Tashi, her fictional Challengers character, Zendaya says that she studied Venus and Serena’s skills on the tennis court. But, she says, “I don't want to compare myself in any way in this performance because I am nowhere near the greatness that they possess.”

On Friday, April 19, Zendaya revealed to ET that Serena has seen her performance as Tashi Duncan — and that she's a fan. "She was like, 'I know there definitely weren't real [tennis] balls," the actress told the outlet. "She knows… She did say that it was great considering that I had never, never touched a tennis ball before.”

Among the stars who attended the April 16 Los Angeles premiere of the movie were Tina Knowles , Cynthia Erivo , and Venus herself — but, recalls Zendaya, they didn’t meet in person despite a fun back-and-forth with the tennis legend on social media.

“I didn't get to see her,” she tells PEOPLE. But knowing that Venus was in the audience and “was going to watch us play tennis? That freaked me out. I was like, ‘Oh, I'm so embarrassed!’ "

Challengers is in theaters now.

51-year-old musician, Kev Crane, from Quorn in Leicestershire, begins his tour of the Midlands in May, fulfilling a long-held ambition. Dubbed the ‘singing plumber’, Kev’s extraordinary story has seen him land a record contract and sign a deal with a Hollywood film maker, after being discovered working on a plumbing job in the home of a music producer.  

Kev’s tour holds extra personal significance, as he will take the opportunity to celebrate his mother’s life, after she died in December 2023, and honour her wishes by raising funds for research into kidney disease.   

Kidney disease has affected my whole family

Kev’s grandad, uncle, aunt and mother all had polycystic kidney disease (PKD) before they sadly passed away. The disease has had a devastating impact.  

Kev says: “Mum found out she had polycystic kidney disease when she was 40 years old. She was fortunate she did not require dialysis because she received a transplant when she was 60, but it was such a long-drawn-out disease which she lived with until her passing at 77 years old.  

“She really looked after her transplanted kidney. She stopped drinking and would exercise regularly, but the over last couple of years she started to go downhill. Most of her time was spent in hospital or at the doctors.  

“My sister and I stayed with Mum in hospital for five days and never left her side before she passed away. She was nearly unable to speak by the end, but we had enough time to talk about everything we wanted to. One of her wishes was for me to support Kidney Research UK – as she did in life.  

“We had a very close relationship. She was our rock, and I was heartbroken when she passed away. It has been difficult, but having this tour to focus on has been helpful. I have to do this for her.”  

Using new-found fame for good  

Kev’s life has been a rollercoaster since he was employed for a plumbing job at the home of Paul Conneally, owner of New Reality Records, in 2021. After being overheard singing in the bathroom, the two chatted about their shared passion for music, listening to songs which Kev had self-produced during the coronavirus pandemic, after a 25-year hiatus from performing.  

When Paul released Kev’s music through his record label, Kev’s story was picked up by screenwriters in Hollywood who were fascinated by his journey – from giving up on a childhood dream to getting a second chance to fulfil becoming a musician.  

Kev flew to Los Angeles to meet screenwriter and producer, Billy Ray – famous for films including The Hunger Games and Captain Phillips – and sold the rights to his life story to Billy Ray and award-winning writer and director, Stacy Sherman. A script has now been written by British sitcom and film writers, Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais – famous for The Likely Lads, Porridge and Auf Weidersehen Pet.  

The story of Kev’s amazing rise to fame went viral and he has been featured by media across the UK and USA, including the BBC, ITV’s This Morning , the Washington Post and The Drew Barrymore Show.  

Kev says: “It’s bonkers really. You can’t quite believe that it’s happening to you. It feels surreal to be working with the creators of all these films and TV shows which I’ve watched over the years. To appear in so many publications and on so many high-profile shows has been bizarre.”  

The ‘Boom Boom Tour’

On Saturday 11 May, Kev begins his ‘Boom Boom Tour’ of the Midlands which will take place throughout the summer and into the autumn. It will feature original songs, as well as some 80s classics.  

Kev says: “I’m excited to get going now. The first performance will be in my hometown of Long Eaton. I picked a small venue which was where we had my mum’s wake and somewhere she watched me perform in the 90s. I should’ve booked a bigger venue because I’ve had so many people asking for tickets!”   

Kev is very kindly donating 20% of the profits from the tour to Kidney Research UK, as we strive to improve the lives of people living with kidney disease.
