GUY FIERI AND HIS FAMILY HIT THE ROAD FOR AN AWESOME ADVENTURE THROUGH APPALACHIA ON THE NEW SEASON OF

GUY’S ALL-AMERICAN ROAD TRIP

New Season Premieres on Friday, June 2 nd at 9pm ET/PT on Food Network

NEW YORK –April 26, 2023 – Guy Fieri , his wife Lori , and his sons Hunter and Ryder are packing up the RV for an epic road trip through Appalachia on the new season of Guy’s All-American Road Trip. The trip kicks off on Friday, June 2 nd at 9pm ET/PT on Food Network, as the Fieris, along with a caravan of campers full of their family and friends, hit the road for an unforgettable trip full of wild adventures, family competitions, and some of the best food in Tennessee and Kentucky. Each of the four hour-long episodes is packed with dynamite dishes, iconic destinations and attractions. From crispy, juicy fried chicken at Dollywood, to Tiki cocktails at Guy’s very own Downtown Flavortown, and to next level BBQ camp-side, the eats are unlike anything they have had before. With stops at the National Corvette Museum for an action-packed race around the track, Guntown Mountain for a lasso competition, and Iron Mountain Metal Craft for a lesson in blacksmithing with a hands-on forging experience, it’s all big-time fun on this monster road trip.

“There’s nothing my friends and family dig more than loadin’ up the RV’s and hittin’ the open road,” said Fieri. “This trip is filled with crazy adventures, family competitions, and some of the best food Appalachia has to offer. Buckle up, it’s going to be a wild ride!”

The Fieris and their closest family and friends embark on a trip of a lifetime with pit stops along the way to meet great people, eat incredible food, and make new memories. Before they hit the road, they must fuel up with a mouthwatering lunch in Nashville, Tennessee served by some of Guy’s favorite local Triple D spots. Once they get to the campground, the rain doesn’t stop this crew from having a real deal Mexican feast. Then, it’s off to a fun roadside attraction in Bowling Green, Kentucky that takes everyone on a trip back to the Old West. Next up, is Chaney’s Dairy Farm for an over-the-top, family against family, ice cream-making contest. They continue to milk Kentucky for an adrenaline pumping spin around the speedway at NCM Motorsports Park. After some hot laps, they head across the street for a tour of the National Corvette Museum. Plus, there is a real deal pizza showdown back at the campgrounds.

“Guy Fieri takes ‘road trip’ to the next level on Guy’s All-American Road Trip ,” said Betsy Ayala, Head of Content, Food, Warner Bros. Discovery. “Audiences won’t want to miss Guy at the wheel leading the way to the most mouthwatering meals and iconic locations across Appalachia. Every episode has all the ingredients for the perfect vacation- family, food and fun, with a side of action and adventure.”

On the next leg of the trip, the Fieris and friends are rolling out for the longest leg of the trip with some awesome surprises along the way. The first stop is in Petros, Tennessee for finger-licking BBQ at a penitentiary followed by a tour of the jail by a former inmate. Next, they make a detour at classic Triple D joint, Pizza Palace in Knoxville, Tennessee to check out the new dishes they have been serving up. Then, they head to a party on the river, where the families dive into some water sports from boating, wakeboarding, and tubing. After working up an appetite on the water, it’s a burger showdown between the families for dinner. The competition continues the next day at English Mountain Trout Farm as the kids must try to catch the golden trout. With all the fish they catch the families have a delicious trout cook-off at the campgrounds.

With 300 more miles of southern specialties and Appalachian experiences to cover, the caravan heads to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee for some next-level nachos, outrageous burgers, one-of-a-kind waffles and a tiki drink oasis at Guy’s very own Downtown Flavortown. The family competition get serious as they go head-to-head in a game of mini bowling. Then, they head down the street to discover how handmade knives are crafted. Next, they dig into homestyle fried chicken and cinnamon bread at Dollywood. To round out the day, the crew goes hog wild at a pit stop in Madisonville, Tennessee at a bacon legend Benton’s Smoky Mountain Country Hams.

In South Pittsburg, Tennessee, Guy gets a tour that most chefs only dream about at the Lodge Cast Iron Foundry, where he learns how cast-iron cookware is made from raw material to finished product. Then it’s over to Sewanee, Tennessee to check out Midway Mushrooms where they produce a wide variety of gourmet mushrooms. Next, the families load up on southern sweets at a bakery that has been around for 120 years, Dutch Maid Bakery. Then, things get a little wild in Chattanooga when the families battle it out in a mechanical bull competition. They also head to the Tennessee Aquarium in Chattanooga, where the Fieris make a recipe to feed to the lemurs. For the last day of the trip, they head back to Nashville to make custom cowboy hats and enjoy authentic Tennessee BBQ to close out the epic trip around Appalachia.

Guy's All-American Road Trip

Food Network superstar Guy Fieri will continue to travel and eat across America for another season of his series, “Guy’s All-American Road Trip.”

The road trip series has been renewed for a second season by Food Network, Variety has learned exclusively.

“Guy’s All-American Road Trip” is a travel and food series that follows Fieri with his family — his wife, Lori, and his sons, Hunter and Ryder — as they pack up their RV for an epic road trip together, along with a caravan of campers full of their family and friends.

Popular on Variety

“Guy Fieri takes ‘road trip’ to the next level on ‘Guy’s All-American Road Trip,’” comments Betsy Ayala, head of content for food at Warner Bros. Discovery. “Audiences won’t want to miss Guy at the wheel leading the way to the most mouthwatering meals and iconic locations across Appalachia. Every episode has all the ingredients for the perfect vacation- family, food and fun, with a side of action and adventure.”

Fieri is one of Food Network’s most lucrative, successful and certainly recognizable stars with a plethora of shows across the network. Fieri — who, back in 2006, won the second season of the competition series, “Food Network Star,” which catapulted him to A-list celebrity chef territory — has six shows at Food Network, which he hosts and produces, including “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” and “Tournament of Champions.” His programming portfolio extends beyond just food: with “Guy’s All-American Road Trip,” he delves into the travel genre, and with “Guy’s Ultimate Game Night,” he became a Hollywood game show host.

The Food Network unveiled its latest series featuring TV presenter and restaurateur Guy Fieri, Guy’s All-American Road Trip .

The new series will feature Fieri (pictured), along with his wife Lori and sons Hunter and Ryder, taking a trip up the U.S. West Coast from Northern California through Oregon and into Washington. The series will showcase camping meals, including fresh crab and cod right out of the water, as well as a whole-hog barbecue.

A competition aspect will also factor in, as five other families will join the trip and participate in family vs. family competitions at each stop up the coast. These stops include an organic, regenerative farm in Crescent City, California; a jet-boat excursion at Gold Beach, Oregon; a ride through the sand dunes at Honeyman State Park in Oregon; a Bavarian village in Leavenworth, Washington; and a visit to actor Jim Belushi’s family farm.

Citizen Pictures is producing the four-episode series, which will premiere on the Food Network on June 3.

Guy Fieri takes fans on an All-American Road Trip adventure

By cristine struble | may 9, 2022.

While he might be known for driving that iconic car to some of the best Diner’s, Drive-Ins, and Dives, this summer Guy Fieri is heading out on a different road adventure. In the new Food Network show, Guy’s All-American Road Trip, food fans might want to take notes for their next family travel outing.

To say that Guy Fieri has endeared himself to Food Network fans and legions of foodies across the globe is as big an understatement as his descriptive alleviations on Tournament of Champions . While there is a relatability to his persona, he knows how to captivate an audience both on and off screen.

In the newest Guy Fieri Food Network show, his family joins him on the road. While Hunter Fieri appears with his father on various programs, this adventure includes his wife and younger son Ryder. Although it might not be the “Vacation movie,” some people will be able to relate to this type of road trip.

According to Food Network, Guy’s All-American Road Trip gives viewers “an up-close-and-personal look at his incredible family vacation.” As Jane Latman, President, Home & Food Content and Streaming, Warner Bros. Discovery, said “audiences know they can expect a wild and fun ride filled with over-the-top camp side meals and some crazy competitions.”

Since Food Network viewers have come to expect the unexpected with Fieri, this new show continues that concept. In addition to exploring the Western coast, the other families joining the excursion will be involved with culinary competitions along the way. After all the family that plays together, stays together.

As Fieri said, “I’m stoked to hit the open road with my friends and family for an unforgettable trip where we’ll experience all the flavors, people, and places that make the West Coast so special. And of course, I’m throwin’ in a little bit of competition to keep them all on their toes!”

Although most people cannot exactly recreate the Fieri’s road trip experience, this new food television show can spark a conversation or plant a seed for a future family vacation. Sometimes the best family memories aren’t just about the destination, it is about the journey to get there.

Guy’s All-American Road Trip will air in four episodes. The premiere episode will air on Friday, June 3 at 9 p.m. on Food Network and will be available to stream on Discovery+.

Food Network star Guy Fieri, who has already won fans for such series as “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives,” has a new series that premieres Friday night. In “Guy’s All-American Road Trip,” the colorful culinary personality takes family and friends on a journey along the West Coast, from Northern California through Oregon, and into Washington.

• You can watch “Guy’s All-American Road Trip” when it premieres 9 p.m. Friday, June 3, on the Food Network. You can also live stream the show, and other Food Network series, such as “Diners, Drive-ins and Dives,” on fubo TV, which offers a free trial .

According to the series description, Fieri, along with his wife, Lori, and sons Hunter and Ryder, load up their RV to hit the road, accompanied by “a caravan of campers full of family and friends.”

Judging from the brief logline, tonight’s episode features the Fieris taking a tour of a cow and chicken farm, a jet boat excursion, and playing in the sand dunes. That sounds like what the press release promised: “From surfing sand dunes to an exhilarating jet-boat excursion down the Rogue River, and from camping feasts featuring fresh ceviche from crab and cod right out of the water and a whole-hog barbecue, this road trip is full of mouthwatering meals, iconic destinations, and lots of action-packed activities.”

"Guy's All-American Road Trip"

"Guy's All-American Road Trip" also brings Guy Fieri and his group to Sandland Adventures in Florence, Oregon, for a dune buggy ride. (Photo: Citizen Pictures)

And here’s more of what’s on the menu: “Before they hit the highway, the Fieris meet up with the five other families coming along for the adventure. Notorious for surprises, Guy reveals to the group that this isn’t an average vacation as there will be family vs. family competitions at each stop along the way. First up is Alexandre Family Farms, an organic, regenerative farm in Crescent City, CA, where they learn firsthand how to milk cows, and one family creams the others with the most amount of milk. The farm fun doesn’t stop there, as they head over to the chicken coop for a dizzying egg relay race. Then they head to Gold Beach, Oregon for a wild 64-mile long jet-boat excursion. After working up an appetite on the water, the Fieris and friends go back to the campsite to enjoy a real deal, homemade Mexican feast with Al Pastor, Carne Asada, and Achiote Chicken Fajitas.”

Hey, we haven’t seen the show yet, so we again turn to the helpful press release for some details: “With hundreds of miles to cover, and incredible roadside eats to enjoy, including campground curry, homemade pork eggrolls, and fresh Dungeness crab boil, the Fieris continue to lead the way up the West Coast. In Florence, Oregon, Guy and his buddies go on an epic ride in the sand dunes in Honeyman State Park, while the kids try sand boarding. Plus, the families go head-to head in mini golf and go-carting. Back at the campsite, Ryder gets a lesson on how to make the crispiest fried chicken.”

In addition, as viewers of “Growing Belushi” saw on that show’s recent season, Fieri and company also made a stop at Jim Belushi’s Southern Oregon cannabis farm.

“Guy’s All-American Road Trip” premieres at 9 p.m. Friday, June 3 on Food Network. Not sure where to find the Food Network channel? Here are some places to check to see if your service package includes Food Network: Verizon Fios , AT&T U-verse , Comcast/Xfinity , Spectrum/Charter , Optimum/Altice , Cox , DIRECTV and Dish .

The 5 Best Guy Fieri Shows

Guy Fieri has been a Food Network staple for 16 years, so we’ve ranked five of our favorite shows from the King of Flavortown.

Edited By Mikayla Rivera

Since winning The Next Food Network Star competition in 2006, Guy Fieri has hosted and produced dozens of foodie TV series, including the iconic Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives . All those sunglasses aren’t going to buy themselves.

In honor of Guy’s 16 years of Flavortown service on Food Network, we’ve compiled and ranked our five favorite shows from the Guy Fieri Cinematic Universe (GFCU). They’re bomb-dot-com tasty, amigo!

Hungry for Food Network?

If you’re looking to stream Food Network, it’s carried by all of the major live TV streaming services, including YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, and Philo. Read more about them in our Best Live TV Streaming Services guide .

Guy’s Big Bite | 13 seasons

Fieri’s debut series after winning The Next Food Network Star was Guy’s Big Bite in 2006. Unlike most of his later productions, Guy’s Big Bite was a no-frills cooking show featuring Fieri simply whipping up killer meals in the kitchen. Guy’s Big Bite ran for a decade on Food Network.

Guy’s Big Project | 1 season

It ran for only a single season, but Guy’s Big Project had a great premise: pro chefs, restaurant critics, foodie bloggers, and home cooks compete to pitch and potentially host their own culinary travel show. Show winner Rashad Jones’s series Eat, Sleep, BBQ premiered in 2017.

Guy’s Ranch Kitchen | 5 seasons

Part celebrity chef hangout, part friendly cooking competition, Guy’s Ranch Kitchen featured Fieri inviting culinarian pals like Alex Guarnaschelli, Justin Warner, Marc Murphy, and Jonathan Waxman to his ranch. The resulting spirited cook-offs produced stunning dishes every episode.

Guy’s Grocery Games | 29 seasons

Remember Supermarket Sweep ? Guy’s Grocery Games is kind of like that but with added cooking. In the still-running series, four chefs compete in themed elimination rounds (all frozen food, etc.) until one wins a chance at a mad grocery store dash worth $20,000. Big fun!

Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives | 35 seasons

You can’t top Fieri’s o.g. foodie travel show—and it doesn’t even have “Guy” in the title. Since 2007, Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives has road-tripped across the USA, spotlighting over a thousand deliciously unique mom-and-pop joints. If Fieri hasn’t been to your town yet, don’t worry—he’ll get there.

Now that you have a hankering for a good foodie watch, season 35 of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives is currently airing Fridays on Food Network. Most of Fieri’s past and present shows can also be streamed on-demand through Discovery+ .

The Barbecue Restaurant Guy Fieri Says Was A Favorite From Diners Drive-Ins And Dives - Exclusive

  • Oops! Something went wrong. Please try again later. More content below

Guy Fieri's signature Food Network show, "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives," is iconic for many reasons. For example, it's the platform that put the metaphorical idea of Flavortown on the map. It boosted the popularity of the mayor of Flavortown, Fieri himself, to stratospheric heights. Along the way, Triple D has introduced Americans to thousands of restaurants across the nation — and mostly, they're the kind of burger-flipping, deep-frying, saucy establishments that might have been otherwise overlooked by glitzy television shows.

Needless to say, throughout his exploration, this celebrity chef has eaten a lot of food (especially barbecue) at a lot of different places. So, when he mentioned one of his "favorite barbecue joints we ever did on Triple D"  in a recent  exclusive interview with Tasting Table , we had to know a bit more. As it turns out, not only did Bar-B-Q King of Charlotte, North Carolina, appear on "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives," but Fieri also declared it a certified classic when he chose it for Food Network's "Best Thing I Ever Ate."

Why Does Bar-B-Q King Rule?

To impress a man whose job it is to eat loads of barbecue, the food has to come first and foremost. Bar-B-Q King's specialty is traditional Carolina style , which means pork shoulder and vinegar-based sauce. While talking with Tasting Table, Guy Fieri pointed out the sauce as a particular sticking point, citing the extreme tang as something that makes "your mouth start to warm." Bar-B-Q King relies heavily on its sauce game, topping it over pork that's smoked for seven hours without any additional seasoning or flavors.

If barbecue doesn't fix your hankerings, you can visit this shop without worry. It's known for dishing up plenty of other Southern classics, including BBQ-dipped fried chicken, po'boys, shakes of all sorts, and hand-fried hush puppies . But it's not just the food that makes this barbecue restaurant an All-American all-star. The restaurant has a history: Its kitchens have been cooking for Charlotte since 1959, with the same family working the joint throughout all those years. Plus, it still operates a drive-in model, with press-to-order two-way speakers and bellhops to run the food. These days, you're sure to find a lot of diners and dives, but a true drive-in? That's a rare sight.

Flavortown On The Jersey Shore: Guy Fieri To Visit Beachfront Restaurant, Liquor Store

Food Network star Guy Fieri is returning to the Jersey Shore but it's not for "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" this time.

"The Mayor of Flavortown" is visiting Low Dive on North Ocean Avenue in Asbury Park on Friday, May 3. The beachfront restaurant and bar posted an Instagram story on Monday, Apr. 22 announcing Fieri's appearance from 5 to 6 p.m.

Fieri is promoting the Santo Tequila brand that he co-owns with rock legend Sammy Hagar. He'll have signed tequila bottles and Santo cocktail samples available to customers 21 and older.

Fieri will also appear at the Wine Outlet on Route 35 in Wall. His meet-and-greet and bottle signing will be from 5 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 4.

Santo's website said the tequila is additive-free and made with 100 percent Blue Weber agave that's "slow-roasted in traditional stone ovens."

"Double-distilled in copper pots and rested in American white oak barrels, Santo is the purest expression of agave flavor—the backbone of true tequila," the website said.

You can click here for free tickets to Fieri's event at Low Dive.

Stagecoach exec talks country, pop's mainstream moment of Post Malone, Beyoncé

Goldenvoice vice president and stagecoach booker stacy vee discusses april 26-28, 2024's event, country at-present, the culture and genre's next steps.

guy fieri travel show

For the past two decades, 2,000 miles from Nashville, the output of Music City's songwriting community has fueled the rise of Goldenvoice Entertainment's Stagecoach Festival from Coachella's relatively intimate little cousin into an event now attended by nearly 80,000 revelers yearly.

The latest edition of Stagecoach is scheduled for Friday-Sunday on six stages spread over 1,000 acres at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California.

"The power of the work of Nashville's songwriting community inspires my booking and curatorial choices," says Stacy Vee, Goldenvoice's vice president and Stagecoach booker. She's been employed by the organization, owned by Los Angeles-based Anschutz Entertainment Group, for two decades. Thus, she's been with Stagecoach since its 2007 founding.

"Nashville's culture and songs have permeated county music's community and inspired much of its current growth," she says. "Those songs still exist at the heart of what we're doing (at Stagecoach) and at the heart of country music overall."

This year's Stagecoach occurs at a fascinating crossroads for the event — and an even more fascinating one when contemplating how similar an ever-more-cosmopolitan and lucrative Nashville has become as related to Stagecoach as an event.

Pop superstars now in Stagecoach's orbit

Pop culture and pop music's more prominent stars and broader influences are arriving in country music.

Thus, something more significant than the power of the song is the power of superstar personalities fueled by massive revenues and audiences and an expanded spotlight works to amplify country's deep — and, in Stagecoach's case, well-curated — culture.

This year could be the first that Nashville's work springboards from Indio's stages to create dynamic pop superstars who redefine the potential of American commerce and culture.

One of those superstars crossing into country is Post Malone, who will perform at the festival's "Mane Stage" on Saturday night.

Vee describes Malone as an ideal pop superstar with clear country roots. His ability to ease into Stagecoach's culture highlights how he could be a bellwether for how Americans overall embrace the genre.

Regarding Coachella icon Beyoncé's current moment in country music, Vee highlights that "Act II: Cowboy Carter" collaborators Malone and Willie Nelson will be joined on 2024's lineup by Tanner Adell, Willie Jones and Brittney Spencer. In previous years, other album collaborators, like Rhiannon Giddens and Tiera Kennedy, have appeared at the event.

"Without trying, our festival bookings are aligned with Beyoncé's listening habits," Vee says. "That's a pretty great thing."

Nashville's growing (and lucrative) national impact

By 2025, Stagecoach's three 2024 headliners — Eric Church, Miranda Lambert and Morgan Wallen — will also have their names plastered on honky-tonk's on downtown's Lower Broadway. Nashville has recently seen Garth Brooks spend $50 million to purchase and renovate a six-story honky-tonk, and the Country Music Association's 2023 fan festival and the Nashville Convention and Visitors Corp.'s July Fourth celebration, saw consumers spend $86.3 million in the area.

Add $38 million that Nashville's country-focused New Year's Eve Big Bash at nearby Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park earned in 2023 and that revenue total jumps to $124 million.

Comparatively, the Coachella and Stagecoach festivals in 2022 saw spending by consumers in Indio alone reach $106 million .

Nashville's nearly 33% jump in mega-event spending power in the past decade — alongside country music's surge, which has seen acts like Jason Aldean, Luke Combs and Morgan Wallen become all-genre chart-toppers — creates a space for dynamic evolution.

Country music's always-burgeoning festival circuit has many stages. However, taking a lucrative set of stars, joined by the era's biggest superstars, to legendary stages shared by Coachella presents a different set of possibilities.

Dance, Diplo and Stagecoach's evolution

"Country music and its festivals are leaning more towards pop music in many respects," Vee says. "People of all ages, cultures, musical preferences, and walks of life are trying country music"

Musical discovery during the streaming era's growth in pop and country music will benefit how this pop evolution will entrench itself as country music expands into an broadened festival marketplace, she says.

"(The act of) musical consumption is maintaining excitement (in the genre)," Vee adds.

Since 2019, Stagecoach has blended the growth of its parent company, Anschutz Entertainment Group, to book acts like electronic dance music kingpin Diplo. In general, performers like him are growing as the boldest arbiters of crossing genres, alongside consumers of all ages discovering music via streaming platforms.

For 2024's Stagecoach, Diplo expanded on the first two successful releases under his Western-themed Thomas Wesley persona with a mixtape featuring a pulsing, house music-aimed reworking of the Outfield's four-decade-old rock classic "Your Love" and a refreshed, dance-ready take on Bailey Zimmerman's double-platinum-selling country chart-topper "Religiously."

"Authenticity, genuine fandom and respect for the artists and culture — that's why Diplo works so well in country music," Vee says.

She was initially reticent about combining Diplo's work since 2005 in the Goldenvoice universe at Coachella with what happens at Stagecoach.

Coachella has comfortably evolved from a Pearl Jam concert to a space where everything from Daft Punk, 2Pac in holographic form, a Beyoncé Netflix special-as-performance and the wildest industry expectation-shifting moments have occurred.

However, Stagecoach was still a place where the country's biggest mainstream names shared a heavily curated space with an assortment of classic favorites, including 2024 festival participants Clint Black, the Beach Boys, Pam Tillis and Dwight Yoakam, plus critically acclaimed indie-beloved artists like Wyatt Flores, Charles Wesley Godwin, Zach Top and Jake Worthington.

It's also a festival where Vee, who says that watching Americana-beloved traditionalist Sturgill Simpson perform at Los Angeles' Troubadour in 2014 was a key moment in her embrace of modern country's possibilities and potential popularity, is amplifying country music's growth while simultaneously fervently protecting its roots.

On the surface, giving a DJ known for blending Dutch house music with dancehall and queer-friendly club music with festival-style electro the space to work at Stagecoach is provocatively fun. However, it also has the potential to go too far. However, that has yet to occur.

"Diplo's talent at viewing artists and sounds that pique people's interests through both a pop and traditional country lens has offered a space for country music-loving, creative and forward-thinking people to be open to doing new things with a new energy and perspective in different (but sustainable) ways."

Guy Fieri's superstar template

Country music's ability to create superstars within its culture is an industry.

However, via an unlikely personality — celebrity chef Guy Fieri — the potential emerges for country music stars to now have an avatar whose yearly presence at Stagecoach creates a standard based on separate traditions at which to aim their already famous personas.

Century-old archetypes, stereotypes baked into the fabric of America's roots and traditions, are already lucrative, with a potential value of hundreds of millions of dollars.

Country music has always paired well with personality-driven and variety-show-style entertainment.

Fieri, a Food Network star whom The New York Times calls an Emmy award-winning emissary of "rowdy, mass-market culture," is preparing for the sixth edition of his Smokehouse Cooking Demo at Stagecoach. The stage will feature crossover country and rock stars HARDY and Jelly Roll.

Pairing with Fieri could virally explode their already growing fandoms.

"Guy is the Stagecoach Festival's biggest fan," says Vee.

He's a lifelong, California-raised country music fan whose parents owned a Western outfitter store and raised him on the music of Bakersfield icons like Merle Haggard, plus a mix of Nashville and Texas pop favorites and outlaws like Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson and Conway Twitty.

"Guy has a heartfelt love of grilling, music and hearing the fans' and artists' stories — he also drives around with free tacos to our first responder, medical, security and staff encampments," Vee says.

She believes that the passion of the artists and fans of the genre exhibited at Stagecoach pulls that level of emotion out of superstars like Fieri.

"When someone (of his stature) is all heart, cares about people and has that rock star energy, it makes being (approachable) into something so much greater."

Discovering what's next

Vee is keen to remove the limitations of Stagecoach's perception at a festival Goldenvoice promotes a week after Coachella.

She mentions expanding dance superstars booked at 2024's event, including frequent Diplo collaborator Dillon Francis and Latin pop performer Carin Leon, or highlighting acts like Texans Leon Bridges and Charley Crockett or Post Malone and Willie Nelson in back-to-back sets as defined by an "uncharted" future that serves as a gateway for an unprecedented expansion of the culture and music Nashville (and pop's expanding mainstream) is lucratively incubating.

"Country's culture and music allow a diverse group of people who have many thoughts about many things to sing the same songs together without a care in the world," she says. "In general, music has the ability to create (a continuum) of moments where people from different backgrounds can share being on the same page. People having that experience (at Stagecoach) and then taking that energy and the artists behind those moments back to their communities elsewhere is essential to discovering (what's next)."
