Excellent advise on what to do with the time available after leaving cruise ship and being able to book in at the hotel, and not waist a day of sightseeing. Hop on Hop-off, solved the problem. GREAT team offering excellent travel deals

I delighted in our recent cruise on Queen Victoria from Sydney to Singapore The deal was fabulous and the sales/support team were efficient, patient and easy to speak to. Thank U especially to Josh who willingly and patiently followed up on my questions and requests Emer was fabulous and tenacious in organising our next cunard cruise during cherry blossom time in Japan next March. Emer managed to seal the deal as we boarded the Queen Victoria this time!!!! Another top effort as she was in Perth whilst we were 3 hours ahead Today Jacqui has been most observant and diligent fine tuning personal details on my file and that of my travelling companion BRAVO x3!!!!! Imagine is a great company with competitive deals and a truly fabulous, knowledgeable staff

Catelyn at Imagine Holidays did a great job sorting out my issues on today’s phone call. Also our recent holiday to South Africa + Rovos Rail+ Azamara Pursuit cruise from Capetown from 6 January 2024 went seamlessly. Well done to Imagine Holidays AUS. Only hiccup was gastro on the ship! Seems it had been on ship since October 2023. Azamara informed us only AFTER we boarded the ship! Best kept secret by Azamara.😡 Have informed Imagine Holidays and they’re looking into it.

Airline changes…

We had several changes to our return flights from Singapore with Philippine Airlines. Wouldn't recommend them. We were able to get flights with Qantas thanks to Tom at Imagine Holidays. We had a package booked with Imagine Holidays. We found it very frustating with the changes as our return date kept changing but every time Imagine Holidays helped us out with an extra night in Singapore at their cost. The last change which Tom did was very prompt and now we can relax that we are no longer flying with Phlippine Airline. No doubt there was a cost that Imagine Holidays absorbed. Would certainly recommend Imagine Holidays for travel. Thanks Bev N.

No Follow-up with this Company

Hard to believe people are giving Imagine Holidays a five star rating. I guess we’re the unlucky ones. When something looks too good to be true, it usually is. First of all, we booked our holiday package on a Friday and the following Monday they reduced the price. When I called they said they wouldn’t give us the reduced price but would upgrade us to an oceanview cabin. We didn’t want the oceanview cabin. We wanted the discounted price based on our original cabin category. They wouldn’t do that so we ended up paying $1,000 each more when people who booked on the Monday got the discount price ($1,000pp less than what we paid). We couldn’t cancel because our hefty deposit was non refundable so they had us between a rock and a hard place. So upsetting given we are retired and on the pension and don’t have a lot of money for holidays. Secondly, they said they would contact us in February 2024 to talk about flight options. I emailed half way through February to see when we could expect to talk to someone and they said it would be March 2024. Well, we’re into April now and after emailing one more time in mid March, we haven’t heard anything. Just ignored us that time. It seems like we are not valued customers. All I can say is be careful. If this is what it’s like through the booking process who knows what we can expect on the tour. It’s too bad. Booking a package holiday should be carefree. Now we’re worried we may be left high and dry somewhere and alone, since we can’t get a response through their customer service department who is usually the first point of contact for most companies.

Again, I wish to assure you at the time in which you booked; you were provided with the best available pricing that we had available for that package. Since the time of your booking, there was a price change of the package offering to the market. This was enacted as the supplier extended a promotion where they provided a free upgrade on inside cabins. This promotion was only applicable to new bookings and could not be retroactively applied to bookings which had already been made. We understand the timing is not great in your circumstances, but this does not take away from the fact you were provided the best price available. I am sorry to hear that you feel you are not a valued customer. I can assure you we absolutely do value all of our passengers and always thrive to answer any phone calls or emails in a timely manner. What a champ Michael is!! from…

What a champ Michael is!!!Michael from Imagine holidays was so helpful before we left on our Middle East cruise and India holiday. He kindly went through each destination and outlined what visas were necessary. Then when disaster struck and because of a medical problem we had to come home early and miss the Indian part of the holiday, Michael kindly liased with my daughter and got flights changed so we could get home for treatment. Michael always replied quickly and with compassion and made a stressful situation less so for us both. Kim at Imagine Holidays was excellent to deal with. She was very thorough, patient and professional, and also accommodating with my requests to call back at particular times. She answered all my questions and addressed any concerns I had without making me feel 'silly.' When we rang and spoke to Daniel Mccormick he was friendly and very helpful in explaining everything about the Cunard cruise to Japan. He listened to our questions and when we agreed to go ahead he was very professional and everything was easy and we are very happy with our booking. Got over charged by $400.00 each, Rang, as the add quoted $6399.00 each, a story of a price increase was given. but after 5 phone calls to ( Michael 11/12/23/ Harrison 15/12/23/ Harrison 21/12/23/ Josh27/12/23/ Harrison27/12/23 ) finally Harrison quoted some small print on the bottom of the add. Be very careful when booking with this company

Good Morning Peter, While I do apologise for the delay in getting back to you regarding your pricing enquiry, the information you quoted in your review of our service is not correct. As we discussed earlier this week, at the time of booking your holiday, you were advised that the previous week there had been an increase in the cost of the holiday package. Due to the variable nature of the travel industry, the pricing often fluctuates and is subject to change. This was confirmed with yourself well before your booking was completed, and accepted by yourself at that time. We have multiple departures of our holiday packages, and the price you are referring to in our newspaper advertisements is a 'from' price for a different departure date than what you booked. As I am sure you can appreciate there are variations in the costs of things such as flights depending on when you are travelling, which is why we quote different holiday package costs based on departure dates. There is a 'Terms and Conditions' section included in every print advertisement that we run, which confirms for you which departure date the prices are related to as well as any other relevant information. At no time were you overcharged or not aware of the total cost of your holiday booking, as I have confirmed with you multiple times and as per the call recordings I have also provided you with. While I can certainly understand wanting to be thorough and not taken advantage of - I would have followed up the same way were I in your position! - I would appreciate it if you could amend or remove your review as what you have described is not correct or accurate. 2023 Northern Lights & Christmas…

2023 Northern Lights & Christmas Markets Tour. Staying on board the river cruise Emerald Sun was excellent but didn't like staying anchored overnight waiting for more passengers to arrive. The Hurtigruten ship is a cargo ship and passenger ferry. The lunchtime food was very salty, nice though, cabins not suited for the time on board. When arriving at Kirkenes, get off as the ship does not dock for extra tours on the way back. Those few days were very boring as they did not open the bar until later in the day. I recommend Bergen to Kirkenes only. Fly to another country from Kirkenes.

If trips include flights know travel time from start to avoid disappointment..

This is the 2nd booking we have made with Imagine but none completed yet. The booking process with Ben and Shannon recently was very simple. All questions were answered and flights were arranged while on the phone. Very happy. My 1st booking was not so smooth when it came to confirming flights a few months later. Flight travel times were most unacceptable (37 hours instead of 19) We changed these but it cost several thousand $$ extra. If flights are known from the start of your booking there will be no unexpected problems. Looking forward to our 2 trips.

The price first

The price first, then the follow up service by the holiday planner. He showed an interest in getting the best deal. He helped over come small hiccup in the payment required, which was also a main deal. As a first time user of imagine services, I look forward to using them again in the future.

We have previously booked with imagine holidays and are waiting for that trip in July, so because they were so helpful then we decided that we would use them again for this next trip in January 2024. We have travelled with another agency and had a very bad and costly experience. The agent that we dealt with was very helpful and we will probably book with imagine again.

What made the experience great was the kindness and patience of Justin!!

What made the experience great was the help I received when ringing (often!) to clarify the process of finalising our cruise details , which was new to me. One young man stood out because of the lengths he went to make sure I had everything correct and also that I was aware of the final steps I needed to take in order to make sure everything was complete and I needed to do no more. His name was Justin . He did not rush me and even finished off the last part of our booking for us and emailed it through. Patient, pleasant and efficient. Who could ask for more?

Pickup was prompt and easy at the port. Our guide and driver, Biggie, was knowledgeable and we got to see some of the key sites with excellent commentary. Be sure to bring a head net because the Midges are fierce.

We booked this tour through Imagine Iceland Travel and our tour was driven and guided by Trausti . Our van was waiting at our port when we arrived by cruise ship and our small group of 12 set off in a comfortable van for our 6 hour tour. Our tour Lake Myvatn day tour and Godafoss waterfall for cruise ships from Akureyri port was fantastic. We booked off the ship Our guide was happy, laughing often, had a great local knowledge, answered many questions from our group and was patient when some of the group were late returning from site visits. Although we wish we had more time in each of our stops, we saw lots and ti finish off with a swim in the Myvatn springs topped our day off. Can throughly recommend this tour company and the tour we did

If I could I would give it zero star. The tour guide didn’t have enough experience and not well trained. He tells jokes just fine, but couldn’t answer questions related to the places in the tour. He was late at one stop because he went to smoke. And,most importantly, he cut short our trip by two hours. Overall quality is the worst we have experienced in our travel history.

The folks at Imagine Iceland Travel provided a wonderful and very satisfying experience! We all were very pleased with the manner in which a problem was resolved!

Poor quality tour and they just dismissed our concerns. Rushed all around in old van with no sound system so could not hear anything on tour.

I would give this company zero stars if I could. This is not a reputable company. They charged $500 per person for a cancelation fee on a trip that was booked 8 months in advance. They claimed that we agreed to this language, but we did not receive a brochure that included this. Nor did the representative - named David-- mention this significant cancelation fee in my email correspondence with him. I've used many travel companies over the years and have never experienced fees like this. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

My mother and I were scheduled to go on a tour in Israel March 2024. The tour has been canceled and imagine tours held $300 per person as an administrative fee. When I questioned it, I was told that they checked with accounting and Because the leader of the tour canceled it, the administrative fee would apply. The reason why the leader of the tour canceled it is because war broke out in the area. Any tour company that handles unforeseen circumstances in this manner should be avoided at all costs.

The recent events in Israel caused us to cancel our tour with ITT. Within 2 weeks they had our refund sent back to us minus what was spelled out in the literature we received prior to signing up for the trip. Fair, honest and a pleasure to do business with. This is the worse travel agency ever! My dream trip to Greece was a travel nightmare! The information we were given said it was an overnight trip. When we were mailed our travel documents ....the nightmare SURPRISE was that it was going to be 5 legs going (28 hours travel time) and 4 legs coming back. When our Pastor contacted that owner, we were told the flight had been cancelled and this was what it was and couldn't be changed.....with no heads up or discussion at all to the group. Upon looking into it ourselves, there were other overnight flights that could have booked. They are more interested in their profit than doing what's right for the customer. They had our full payment for months and could have found us another flight. This was a very expensive trip and I would never have voluntarily chosen to fly this way.

Very disappointed with this agency. The trip rep. (Randy) came across as totally uncaring. They have our trip scheduled with a 7 hour layover state side. They have us arriving extremely late (we won't get to bed until after midnight) and leaving the hotel the next morning at 8:00 am. Randy did not care one bit. He said it's totally out of their hands; then why would anyone use them for travel. Very bad customer service!!!!

If I could leave no stars I would do that. I was so disappointed with this company. We were scheduled for a trip to Israel in January but the trip was cancelled because of the current conflict. The cancellation was done in November, after the full payment was due, but the company kept $300 per person from our payment. Of course the trip insurance the company recommended did not cover the cancellation cost so we are out that cost as well. they requested that we just change our reservation to January 2025. That seemed foolish - Allow them the use of nearly $11000 for 14 months? There were too many uncertainties to do that. Would the trip insurance be good at that time? Also, we were told by our tour leader that we would only be charged $250 each but the company stated $300 each. I contacted the company and received no satisfaction. Three friends had trips cancelled with other companies. All received full refunds including insurance and two couples received credit for future trips. This company has very poor service.

Great until there is a problem. 10 of us stranded in Israel. No help no communication.

Be VERY CAREFUL when dealing with this company. They are not refunding my family's deposit. Customer service is horrible. They told me directly they do what is best for their own company not for their customers. I had to open a dispute with my credit card company to get this company to respond. There is a reason why they only take checks for payment beyond the deposit, it is so you have no ability to dispute a charge when you pay via check. Buyer beware. I would not recommend this group at all.

Rick and his team at Imagine Tours is second to none. Their expert knowledge and relationships in the industry are stronger than most others. The timeliness of responses and professionalism is outstanding. I have hosted 5 or more International groups with them and am extremely impressed.

Hotels, itinerary and experiences were totally not as described by their specialist guide - we can only tell you that we would definitely not recommend the company as so many parts of the holiday of a life time were misrepresented in a multitude of aspects - we were not told the truth about length of journeys, best hotels to stay in or informing us of well known site seeing options on our doorstep even though they are meant to be specialists!

“Honeymoon Jan 2016”

I'm not one to usually write reviews, as I assume that it is peoples job to give good service... That being said, I could not bring myself to not write a review as my wife and I had the best Honeymoon ever and it was all thanks to Imagine Travel / Imagine Africa but mostly to our sales consultant.  Not only did she tailor our trip to fit in with all our whims (and there were a few) but she also managed to speak to both Safari camps (Saruni Samburu and Kilima Camp) as well as the Almanara Boutique Hotel and get us complimentary upgrades in each one! Both the safari camps were amazing, each for different reasons: Saruni Samburu was very nice and hot, had amazing rooms with gr4eat views, superbly knowledgeable guides (we saw a Leopard and her cub on the first afternoon), fantastic chefs (trained in Italy) and the most welcoming manager. All of this with hardly any other visitors made for a great stay... Kilima camp was completely different, in a brilliant way! Tented camps a stones throw from the Mara (10 minutes from camp and you were already looking at Lions). Again the standard of food was fantastic, our guide (aka The Cat Man) could spot lions from 1km away, not to mention the rest of the camp staff who made us feel very much part of the family. Finally Almanara, beach hotel heaven! Again, complimentary upgrade to a fantastic suite, hardy any other guests so the chef cooked whatever we wanted (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and you have to have the lobster thermidor - truly amazing! The beach was the whitest I have ever seen and the Indian ocean was basically warm all the time. We spent 7 days here, enjoying the food and lolling around by the beach or in the pool. Once again our stay was made that little bit nicer by our daily chats with the manageress and her recommendations of activities / foods! Honeymoon over, but we will definitely be using Imagine Africa / Imagine Travel again and are already talking about booking the Almanara Boutique Hotel for some more Winter Sun

“The Walton's 2 South African visits with Imagine Africa”

Imagine Africa did a great job organising a mostly safari type visit in April 2015 and a second visit all of September to South Africa. Two weeks in Namibia were superb especially the balloon ride over the dunes from the Sossusvlei Desert Lodge and the Hoanib Lodge from where we saw the stunning Skeleton Coast. Both visits we stayed at the very fine Cape Grace Hotel in Cape Town. Leopard Hills and sister Lodge at Madikwe had excellent safaris with great service. The second visit was to the the Strandloper Hotel at West Cape for the amazing vistas of wild flowers. Bushmans Kloof in the Cederberg gave us a wonderful time in stunning scenery. The Marine Hotel at Hermanus was luxurious with good whale viewing. The Plettenberg Hotel on the Garden Route allowed access to whale watching and delightful National Parks. Without exception all the hotels were a very high standard and we would gladly go back. Thank you Imagine Africa (Imagine Travel).

“Fantastic honeymoon in Tanzania”

Me and my husband recently returned from our 2 1/2 week honeymoon to Tanzania and Zanzibar which we booked with Imagine Africa. Our trip was extremely well organised and exactly what we wanted thanks to Imagine Africa. They really listened to what we wanted and provided us with loads of advice. We spent 3 nights in Serena River lodge which was really lovely. Great food, delightful attentive staff and a really nice lodge. Our guide was excellent and we saw loads of animals. A particular highlight was fishing on the river which was part of our boat safari. We then went to Ruaha where we spent 3 nights at Mdonya Old River Camp which was a real bush experience (animals wondered around the camp). The food was delicious and the atmosphere in the camp was very welcoming and authentic. On Safari we saw a vast number of animals including leopards and cheetah which was amazing. The scenery was also beautiful. We ended our trip in Breezes in Zanzibar which was a beautiful relaxing hotel. I would highly recommend Imagine Africa and would definitely book with them again.

We have just come back from the most fantastic 2 weeks in Kenya where we stayed in the Samburu - at Saruni - which was breathtaking, Naibor Camp in the Masai Mara - camping at its absolute best and then Almanara Villas at Diani on the Indian ocean. Matt - our Imagine Africa representative - clearly listened to all our thoughts about the holiday and chose this itinerary for us that would give us a variety of landscapes and experiences. He was also very reassuring when we worried about safety before our trip. We didn't need to worry - the camps were so remote and the people everywhere were so friendly and welcoming. All our transfers went smoothly, the food was amazing - really top quality, the staff were always helpful and professional. We could not have been in better hands and, given that we really did have the most brilliant time, we would happily book with Imagine Travel again.

I travel 4/5 times a year to mainly out of the ordinary places with various companies. I have never used Imagine Travel before but they were the first company to respond to my initial query regarding a tailor made tour for three of us to Venezuela. Not only did they respond immediately with an excellent itinerary but they undercut the competition. I was sceptical how they could do this tour for the price but not only was the trip expertly arranged, they also managed to do it using top quality guides, drivers and accommodation. The other point which impressed me that all queries were answered in a friendly and efficient manner As far as the three of us are concerned this is how a travel company should operate, friendly and efficient manner. There is no doubt that I will use Imagine again, as will the friends I travelled with. We have all recommended in turn to other people will know and in my experience word of mouth is the best form advertising!

We booked part of our honeymoon with Imagine Travel and I can honestly say from the very first phone call to landing back in the UK everything was catered for. The team were responsive and listened to our requirements. The location and tour were spectacular. Guatemala is just superb, with a range of stays across this beautiful country we were able to gain an insight into the culture. All transport and guides spoke English and were able to provide us with the relevant information and answered all of our questions. Lake Atitilan was breathtaking and a must for anyone who wants to see and stay at one of the Worlds most spectacular lakes. Belize was everything we hoped it would be - crossing the border was interesting but did not take too long on foot! The Belize guides were excellent, providing useful insight into the mayan tribes and local traditions. We have been on tailor made tours with other companies, but I for one would recommend Imagine Travel and we are looking forward to booking our next adventure with this on the ball company.

Eight flights, three hotels, lots of excursions and "handoffs" to other guides and/or hotels--and it all went without a hitch! We would recommend Imagine Latin America--and likely use them again. From the Atacama desert to Santiago and then to Easter Island, we stayed in pretty terrific hotels, ate some pretty terrific food and saw magical and mystical and beautiful terrain and monuments/statues and culture, and more. Lots of hiking and biking and the outdoors that was just, well, amazing! Imagine Latin America did a great job, with lots of recommendations and suggestions. It kept in constant contact with us, leading up to the trip. We loved everything about the trip and about Chile!

“Amazing Tanzania Honeymoon!”

My husband and I worked with a lady at Imagine Africa to plan our honeymoon. We changed our minds about 100 times and she was extremely patient and helpful in guiding us towards the best countries, accommodations and overall options. When we first started working together, she asked a few questions around our travel style and budget; and all of her recommendations were in line with exactly what I was looking for. I was impressed that she had been to most of the locations to which she was referring us and could personally speak to the best times to visit, weather, and other nuances that are difficult to understand simply through internet research. Ultimately, she arranged for us to go to Olakira in Serengeti and then Raz Nungwi in Zanzibar. Both were incredible! Olakira is the hands down best vacation accommodation I have ever had. The game drive guides were unbelievably knowledgeable and each day we had a customized drive to see exactly what we wanted. The nightly bonfires and excellent dinner with other travelers created a lovely ambiance. And Raz Nungwi was just as fantastic. One evening they even put together a special dinner for the two of us on the beach complete with flowers, candles and a singing / dancing performance. It was truly a very memorable and special vacation, and I am grateful to Imagine for all of their help in making it happen!

Initially, we planned to use American Express Platinum Travel for our entire journey around the tip of South America. It soon became clear that their agents had neither the understanding nor the time to customize the trip in a way that would make it truly memorable, for us. Searching the internet for ideas, we contacted several travel agencies. It was a gamble, pinning the outcome of our vacation to a company that we didn't know; and one that was also relatively new to the industry. The good news....we chose Imagine Latin America.....and our gamble paid off.....big time! From the outset our experience with Imagine Latin America was positive. Every person we spoke to was professional, responsive and convivial. Follow up and travel information was right on point. We felt they had our interests at heart. Few companies have the impressive corporate culture evidenced by Imagine Latin America. The trip wasn't absolutely perfect. I might have upgraded one or two hotels, not because they didn't reflect what we asked for, but because of personal preferences. All else was great, especially the guides, which was very important to us. I am happy to give Imagine Latin America a five star rating..... I expect to use their services in the future....you should too!!

Just back from an amazing holiday booked by Imagine Africa! I am a fussy client, and every one of my needs were met at the crucial stage of booking. If I found a hotel on Trip Advisor I liked, then they would factor that in, even if we changed our plans or had a new idea, nothing was too much trouble. Would have liked to recieve the travel pack sooner as it would have added to our excitement and made planning for our holiday easier but that is all I can say I was less happy with. If you are thinking about Africa, look no further. There are specialists in the field who know their stuff!!

Initially we intended to book our entire vacation around the southern part of South America through American Express Platinum Travel. I've been a member for 40 years.It became clear that even their most experienced travel agents, and we spoke to several, had no intimate appreciation of the cities and experiences we might enjoy. Frustrated, I did a simple internet search and after speaking with a number of competitors decided to work with Imagine Latin America. The hardest part of that decision was betting the success of our vacation on a company and a travel agent, Meike Bracht, that we did not know. Well, that bet paid off handsomely! Meike was great, genuinely interested in doing it our way and I was very impressed by the professionalism and follow up evidenced by everyone in the organization. Best corporate culture of any travel agency we ever used. I stressed the need for excellent tour guides and got them. We may have changed one hotel, due to personal preference, but not because Meike made a bad choice. It was fun, no nonsense experience working with Imagine Latin America, they got the job done and we have no trouble recommending them to others. We will certainly use them again in the future.

My family of 4 just returned from a 10 day trip to Costa Rica. My husband and I used Imagine Africa 18 months ago and were so happy with our trip that we decided to book with them for Latin America. We could not have planned a more perfect itinerary. They were spot on with their recommendations of venue and activities. The white water rafting, zip lining, hiking, hot springs and nature tours were amazing. At the end of our journey, we got to relax at the beautiful resort "The Parador" in Manuel Antonio. I can't wait to book our next holiday with Imagine!

We have recently returned from a brilliant trip through Guatemale and Belize organised by Imagine Latin America. All in all the whole time was so great. I must let you know how incredibly taken we were with the people in general but most especially the guides. They were so brilliant, they told us so much and could not have been kinder. Benny, JJ and Sylvestrie (please forgive my spelling) were incredibly lovely. Sylvestrie even took us via his wife in San Ignacio to pick us up some home made banana bread and a cinnamon swirl. “guatemala belize tour”

We chose Imagine Latin America for our special (40th wedding anniversary-60th birthday) trip because their agent seemed very knowledgeable and was able to offer some sound advice about timing. I described my ideal holiday to her and let her do the rest, she got it spot on. The outgoing flight was long but went like clockwork, the hotels (bar 1) were perfect, the guided tours with well trained, English speaking guides, were interesting and just the right length. The overseas agents Viaventure were outstanding, we have done several similar long haul adventures, they were the best yet. We had 1 stay that was too long at the particular location (possibly linked to on going internal flights) and several that were too short for us to explore all avenues, given my status as a pensioner and flexible dates, it might have been better to compromise a bit on room up grades and have 2 or 3 extra days away. There was nothing i did not like but I would recommend flights avoiding Miami where we spent 3 panic stricken hours in a long queue, only just managing to get our connecting flight back to Heathrow.

“Perfect every time...”

We travelled to Namibia with Imagine Africa earlier this year. We booked with Pierre and, once again, the trip was utterly fantastic. This is probably our 6/7th holiday with Imagine Africa and they just get it right everytime, whether we are camping on a budget, doing a DIY self-drive or indulging in a bit of luxury. Pierre and his colleagues' knowledge of Africa is unbeatable. This, coupled with the fact they spend time getting to know their clients' likes and dislikes so well, means it's hardley surprising that you are virtually guaranteed a holiday of a lifetime. Africa is an amazing continent but travelling there presents its own unique challenges. Imagine Africa ensure the experience is exactly what it should be, I wouldn't dream of travelling there without their expertise.

“If heaven was a holiday...”

...then this would be it. We spent 2 weeks in Chile and Argentina - the highlight has to be Torres del Paine in Southern Chile: walking, horse riding, food, wine, scenery - you couldn't ask for anything else. Meike from Imagine Latin America persuaded us to spend some time here - in fact, more time than we'd originally planned and she really got this one spot on. Words cannot describe. The rest of the holiday had a lot to live up to, but a few days in Buenos Aires followed by some well deserved R&R at La Bamba lodge just outside BA more than did the job. We loved BA - its huge but has the perfect combination of history and trend setters not to mention the fanatastic food and drink (the Argentine Experience in Palermo was brilliant and a must try experience). La Bamba was equally as good - they can't do enough for you and the cooking is sensational. 5 flights, numerous transfers, many hotels, even more restaurants and, as always, Imagine Latin America absolutely nailed it from an organisational perspective and managed to pick places and locations that suited us perfectly. Thank you (again...)!

“A Dream Come True!”

We have just returned from our holiday of a lifetime and cannot recommend Imagine Africa highly enough. Everything was perfect from start to finish and we want to go back and do the whole thing again! The 'tailor-made' aspect is what really made it a success as you can choose what you want as a family rather than having to go along with everyone on a package tour. We were able to choose our dates, itinerary, locations and accommodation on the expert advice of the staff and we would not have changed anything if we were to do it again. We had six nights on safari, split between the Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti, in tented camps followed by four nights in Zanzibar. Private game drives meant that we could focus on what we wanted to look out for and both the drivers we had, asked us every day how we wanted to plan the day. It has been a lifelong dream to go on safari as a family and our trip not only met, but exceeded our expectations in every way. Thank you so much to all the staff and we would definitely travel with them again.

“Disappointment at 8K per person”

Booking our Namibian Safari with Imagine Africa started out wonderfully. The person we spoke to was responsive and seemed knowledgeable. However, once we were there we discovered that we had made an error in trusting his and his assistant's judgment and advice: 1) Since we were traveling in August, we knew it could be cool: we were told to bring layers" and we did, including down jackets. However we were not told that all our lodging would be totally unheated, some in canvas tents that leaked air, all in places where the nights approached freezing and in some cases below freezing. At our first hotel (in Windhoek) we were incredibly cold; things deteriorated from there. The absolute absence of insulation in the camps when the indoor temperature was below 0 was intolerable: the water in our glass froze overnight. Because it didn't warm up a lot during the day and because all spaces, including the dining area, were unheated, we didn't warm up for the first 5 days of the trip. Appropriate forewarning would have resulted in our opting for other lodging or even giving up Namibia for lodging a safari with appropriate heat. 2) After 5 days, we wrote Imagine Africa and requested a change of hotel to one with central heating for our last night in Windhoek. Although we requested this nearly a week ahead of time, we were told that we could have to pay for a 2nd reservation--that no credit would be given for the canceled hotel! So having shelled out over $18,000 for a miserably cold 9 day trip, the agent couldn't manage to absorb a $218 charge. Unacceptable. In a similar way, we were given no refund for 2 taxi rides that had been planned from our first--far away--hotel, even after we shelled out the extra cash to get into a heated hotel that was within walking distance of town. 3) There were also other ways in which we found Imagine Africa to be less than competent: prior to leaving the States we phoned the agent twice to inquire whether it would be possible for me to run at any of the camps, indicating that we wanted to bring running clothes if it were. They "checked" and told me that it was not safe to run at any the camps because of the animals. Seemed reasonable so we left running stuff home. However on arrival we discovered that at only one of the 4 camps we visited was this an issue. At every other camp the manager said it would have been "no problem" to run, either freely or in a more limited area. Clearly Imagine did not check with the camps directly. Since we had made two attempts to check this out, this was a real failure to follow through on their part. 4) Finally, the camps themselves were not adequately described to us and the level of accommodations was too uneven to reflect the very high cost of this trip. At one, no attempt was made to accommodate our food requirements (we don't eat meat; we were given the side vegetables alone, no fish or other source of protein). Subsisting on power bars at those prices is ridiculous. We came home feeling ripped off and not well cared for. And we're not that hard to please. Have traveled extensively in other parts of the world and never had a problem. It's also notable that before posting this review we attempted to contact Imagine directly to let them know how we felt. We were stonewalled. Don't use them.

Imagine Africa spoke to us like human beings and arranged our safari & beach holiday specifically around what we asked for. You did not feel for one moment that we were just another random customer being dealt with by a busy call centre. They were very understanding gave us alternative packages, changed hotels an even internal flights in order to allow us to spend time with friends in Dar es Salaam. The accommodation was first class quality without any flashiness. They even suggested we might be able to arrange cheaper international flights ourselves (which we did and saved several hundred pounds) It was our first time visiting Africa and their efficient attention to detail with itemised itineraries really put us at ease. Everything looked like clockwork, every flight was met by a representative and a taxi plus we had numerous emergency numbers provided if ever anything went wrong (which it didn't). Imagine Africa were our comfort blanket on a fantastic eye opening trip.

Grand Design Imagine Review

In this post, we’re going to take a look at the Grand Design Imagine travel trailer. So let’s get started. The Grand Design Imagine is a lightweight travel trailer with some very Innovative floor plans. It’s a travel trailer that is lightweight but doesn’t compromise luxury . It has some outstanding features including LED lighting, and their residential Master Suite to name a few.

Before I begin my review of The Grand Design Imagine, Please be aware that I do not own this travel trailer, this review was based on Research I have conducted on the manufacturer’s website RV forums and consumer product review forums.

Imagine Overview

The Grand Design Imagine is available in 11 different floor plans. All the plans feature a 60 by 80 queen bed and sometimes even have a fireplace. You’ll also find a 30 by 36 shower with skylight refrigerator pantry and a 32in LED TV entertainment center. A couple of the plans have bunk beds with bike storage.

Grand design imagine construction.

When it comes to construction, the Grand Design Imagine seems to be one of the better-constructed travel trailers on the market. It has a gel coated fiberglass exterior, a one-piece roof membrane with a 12-year warranty. In addition, the insulated storage doors and the rear wall side walls are laminated aluminum framed with an R-value of 7.

On the slide-out rooms, The Grand Design Imagine also has a laminated aluminum framed roof and walls.

The floor on the Grand Design Imagine has an R-value of 30, and it is also a laminated aluminum framed.

One thing to know on the fully laminated walls is that they use rigid foam insulation instead of soft fiberglass insulation. It’s been known that soft fiberglass insulation can sometimes settle and leave uninsulated gaps on the roof the floor.

When it comes to features, The Grand Design Imagine is loaded, there are dozens of standard features Let’s take a look at some of them:

In the kitchen you will find some cover, residential countertops, stainless steel microwave, stainless steel 3-burner range with oven, and a double door refrigerator.

The bedroom has a master suite with a 60 by 80-inch Queen bed, solid bedroom door leading to the master suite, oversized under-bed storage, residential bedspread, and TV and cable ready.

Grand Design Mandatory Packages

The Grand Design Imagine has three feature packages that are mandatory.

Peace of Mind Pacakge

The first one is gold the Peace of Mind package and includes among many things a drop frame front pass-through storage, aluminum entry steps, a walk on roof, a trifold hide-a-bed sofa, nitrogen filled radial tires, a diamond plate front rock guard, aluminum rims.

Ultimate Power Package

The ultimate power package Which is also mandatory includes electric awning with LED light, LED interior lighting, motion sensor pass through lighting, Bluetooth stereo a high-definition LED television and 30 amp service.

Four Season Package

The Four Season protection package this one too is mandatory and includes a 35k BTU high capacity furnace, heated and enclosed underbelly with suspended tanks, designated heat duct to subfloor, high-density roof insulation with attic vent, double insulated roofing front cap.

Grand Design Imagine Owner Reviews

As per my research on RVinsider.com The Grand Design Imagine gets an average rating of four stars.

These are some of the positive that owners have reported about The Grand Design imagine.

• The layout of the Grand Design Imagine is well-thought-out, bedroom layout is great lots of storage.
• The slide-out creates a comfortable living area, more storage than I would ever use.
• The bathroom is a good size it has a large shower in a real toilet.
• Excellent outdoor cooking space and the 21-foot awning is great
• The Grand Design customer service has been amazing

And there are some negative reporting from owners as well, for example:

• One owner after the first trip the latches for the screen door main door have to be fixed.
• The same owner reported that the awning leaked in 5 places and that the water pump extra trailer Shake all over.
• Another owner has reported that the trim Ash falling apart after only Seven Trips and that it had to reattach it every single time.
• In addition, the vent covers pop off in the bedroom door stops fell off. They always seem to be fixing something and have stated they would not buy from Grand Design again.

Grand Design Imagine Review Summary

Overall and based on my online research, I think the Grand Design Imagine travel trailer is a very good travel trailer. On average, it is getting a 4-star rating which is very good compared to other similar travel trailers, Grand Design themselves seems to take customer service seriously, and from what I’m reading they seem to be very responsive to customer issues.

The Grand Design Imagine has lots of room, the floor plan design are very functional. The available features and amenities are high-quality. Like all other travel trailer manufacturers, there’s a chance you might end up with one that’s not well put together.

Keep that in mind, as it is usually not a sign of the entire line. Make sure you are dealing with a reputable dealer who can address any issues you may have with the Grand Design Imagine in an expedient manner.

The XLS and AIM campers were created for RVers who want the quality and features of an Imagine camper, but have a truck that can only handle a smaller RV.

Sometimes towing restrictions keep an RVer from purchasing a camper they love. To solve this, Grand Design created these two trailers that include the quality and features of an Imagine camper with more towing options.  

Imagine XLS models start just under 5,000 lbs. and weigh up to 6,200 lbs. This camper is meant to fit most medium trucks and larger SUVs. The Imagine XLS 25BHE even won RV News’ 2023 Lightweight Travel Trailer of the Year Award.

A new Imagine will be listed online for $49,902 – $64,386 MSRP (manufacturer suggested retail price). 

Because of agreements with the manufacturer , dealers can’t list new Grand Design RVs for less than MSRP. Find a Bish’s dealership that sells Grand Design RVs and ask for their sale price – it’s likely lower!

A used Imagine AIM camper will cost anywhere from $15,000 to $60,000, depending on its year, make, model, condition, etc. 

A new Imagine AIM costs from $31,937 to $36,208 MSRP . 

Some used Imagine XLS campers can cost up to $44,000, again depending on its year, make, model, condition, etc. 

A new Imagine XLS is listed from $40,188 to $47,322 MSRP . You can usually find one priced around $45,000.

Extended Season Camping:

Every Grand Design Imagine is tested in rigorous temperatures (from 15 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit) to ensure that Imagine campers can function well and be comfortable for campers in times and places where the weather is not-so-nice.

The Imagine includes a high-performance, high-efficiency furnace that delivers maximum heating power throughout the entire camper when temperatures drop.

The heated underbelly includes suspended tanks and enclosed dump valves. A designated heat duct runs through the subfloor to provide residual heat to the tanks and underbelly. 

For warmer temperatures, the roof includes an attic vent to provide extra airflow when the weather is nice.

I inadvertently used this business to book a flight for my wife with Frontier Airlines ( their listing in Google looks as if it is the Frontier booking site). I received a confirmation of the booking which indicated the e-ticket would follow shortly. When this didn't arrive I called to enquire I discovered that Travel Reimagine had not been able to book the flight as they had not registered in time and the seat at that price had been taken. I had to pay double the advertised original price to secure one of the last two seats on the flight.

If you're looking for travel insurance that allows you to confidently participate in a wide range of sports and adventure activities around the world, then World Nomads Travel Insurance might be right for you. The company's policies cover travel to almost anywhere on the globe and are available to residents of nearly every country. 

World Nomads Travel Insurance Review

Among the best international travel insurance companies , World Nomads is particularly good at insuring athletes, covering well over 300 sports, including skydiving, bungee jumping, and golf. World Nomads is also a great last-minute purchase, allowing you to purchase coverage even after your trip has started. However, if you purchase a plan after departure, you will have to wait 72 hours before your plan kicks in.

That said, World Nomads lacks crucial coverage options, such as cancel for any reason coverage and coverage for pre-existing conditions. It also doesn't insure travelers older than 70.

Additionally the service has received middling reviews from customers, averaging 3.4 stars out of five across 2,510 reviews. Customers often complained about their lengthy claims processes and poor customer service.

Some also took issue with the "Nomads" branding, as some travelers with multiple destinations and long-term trips found their trip wasn't covered by Nomads' specific policies. It's worth noting that World Nomads was very responsive to positive and negative reviews on Trustpilot.

World Nomads Plans Available

World Nomads has two basic policies: Standard and Explorer. Each covers essentially the same things, but Explorer has higher amounts that World Nomads is willing to pay out for claims. The company's policies cover more than 150 specific activities. These range from bungee jumping and rock climbing to hang gliding and hot-air ballooning. Additional Coverage Options (Riders)

One of the most common upgraded features of a travel insurance policy is cancel for any reason (CFAR) , where you really can cancel for reason beyond what's in a standard policy. This is not available on every policy, but it is often a feature that travelers are looking for while shopping for travel insurance before their trip. At this time, World Nomads doesn't offer CFAR coverage.

At the time of this review, World Nomads also offers sports equipment coverage. In February of 2022, it expanded coverage to include more than 150 sports and activities including Pickleball and FootGolf. It currently covers over 300 sports. So, as you can imagine, plans with sports coverage will cover virtually any sport you might play.

World Nomads Travel Insurance Cost

You can obtain a quote from World Nomads on its website by providing details about you and your trip. Be prepared to provide the following information:

• Your destination(s)
• Duration of trip
• Your country of residence
• State of residence (if you're from the US)
• Number of travelers
• Traveler(s) age

Notably, World Nomads does not ask you for the price of the trip, which many travel insurance companies factor into the trip of your policy. As such, World Nomads may be a good option if you're going on a particularly expensive trip. 

We ran a few simulations to offer examples of how much a World Nomads policy might cost. You'll see that costs usually fall between 5% and 7% of the total trip cost, depending on the policy tier you choose.

As of April 2024, a 23-year-old from Illinois taking a week-long, $3,000 budget trip to Italy would have the following  World Nomads travel insurance quotes:

• World Nomads Standard: $76.58
• World Nomads Explorer: $123.34

Premiums for World Nomads's plans are well below the average cost of travel insurance .

World Nomads provides the following quotes for a 30-year-old traveler from California heading to Japan for two weeks on a $4,000 trip:

• World Nomads Standard: $85.83
• World Nomads Explorer: $155.06

Once again, premiums for World Nomads plans are between 2.2% and 3.8%, below the average cost for travel insurance.

A couple of 65-years of age looking to escape New York for Mexico for two weeks with a trip cost of $6,000 would have the following World Nomads quotes:

• World Nomads Standard: $152.96
• World Nomads Explorer: $276.34

Premiums for World Nomads plans are between 2.6% and 4.6%, once again below the average cost for travel insurance. This is especially impressive as travel insurance is often more expensive for older travelers.

How to File A Claim with World Nomad Travel Insurance

You can start an insurance claim by filing it on the company's website. 

You can call toll-free in the US and Canada if you need to reach the company in an emergency at: (877) 289-0968.

World Nomads is particularly good at insuring traveling athletes, but let's see how it stacks up against the best travel insurance companies .

World Nomads Travel Insurance vs. Allianz Travel Insurance

Allianz Travel Insurance is a strong competitor against World Nomads, especially for travelers looking for a more business-oriented option. The company has been in business for more than 120 years and offers a wide range of insurance, not just travel-related, around the world.

A key difference between World Nomads and Allianz Travel Insurance is that Allianz Travel Insurance offers travel insurance that can cover multiple trips in the same year. You can take an unlimited number of trips within the same calendar year, but you do have to double-check that all of your destinations are covered by the policy you select. 

Another difference is that Allianz Travel Insurance offers pre-existing condition waivers for qualifying customers. World Nomads doesn't have the same coverage, requiring that the pre-existing condition is fully stable in order for limited coverage with respect to trip cancellations or having to end a trip early.

World Nomads Travel Insurance vs. AIG Travel Guard

Travel Guard , a product backed by AIG Travel, is another potential alternative to World Nomads. AIG is a prominent player in the insurance industry, and the Travel Guard product represents true global coverage. 

Unlike World Nomads, Travel Guard has coverage for pre-existing medical conditions, but there are conditions. Travelers must purchase their policy within 15 days of the initial trip payment to qualify for a pre-existing condition waiver. 

Both travel insurance companies use a tiered approach, but Travel Guard has higher dollar amounts across the board. For example, trip cancellation for Travel Guard covers 100% of the trip cost, while with World Nomads the amount will depends on the tier of the coverage you purchase. Trip Interruption is also a fully covered event with Travel Guard's. Depending on the plan selected, it will either cover 100% or 150% of the trip cost. 

If you're concerned about COVID-19 coverage with trip insurance, there's more coverage with World Nomads than Travel Guard. With Travel Guard, coverage for having to stay in a country past your original booking dates is an add-on, not a standard part of the policy.

Compare World Nomad vs. Credit Card Travel Insurance

If you already have a major credit card in your wallet, you most likely have some travel insurance benefits that come with it. These benefits do vary from card to card. Be sure to check your card's specific policies.

Not all credit cards will feature travel insurance protection. The ones that do may have specific limitations. For example, many credit cards with travel protection require that your airfare is paid for with the card in question for protections to take effect. 

Reimbursement isn't guaranteed. The credit cards do require that you file your claim and wait for a decision. World Nomads makes it easy to file a claim online and submit receipts and documentation. The response is fairly quick based on reviews from travelers that have actually had to file claims. 

The more premium the credit card, the more likely expanded travel protections are part of its features. If you don't already have a premium credit card, it's better to get travel insurance. This is also the case if you have multiple trips planned. Some credit cards limit not just the total dollar amount, but the number of claims within a 12-month period.
