Unbelievable! Best show I've ever been to! He has such an amazing voice and is so natural with it. He makes the show inclusive for the audience and his funny stories really tie the experience together.

An amazing performance with so much energy. Far far better than we even hoped. The only criticism was that the onscreen projection audio and video were out of synch, which was really irritating. We were sitting near the techies and I passed the info to the security guys who were literally only 3m from the sound desk but they didn’t bother passing the message on. Shame as I had explained that I’m a videographer so wasn’t just complaining to be a nuisance. I really hope they don’t make the same mistake throughout the tour!
I didn't know what to expect. 11,000 fans at Manchester Victoria and he didn't disappoint. His voice is so unique, the songs catchy and at times emotional. It felt like I knew all the songs even though I can guess I had only listened to about 5. Not once was I disappointed. He engaged the audience as though we were all friends. The band were tight and I liked the 3 floating screens. Well worth £25 of anyone's money and will be back next time he tours

James Blunt announces European tour for album ‘Who We Used To Be’; where is he playing in the UK + tickets
James Blunt is set to tour Europe in 2024 in conjunction with the release of his new album, “Who We Used To Be.”
Taking time away from being perhaps one of the funniest, self-referential musicians to grace Twitter/X, musician James Blunt is set to release his brand new album “Who We Used To Be” on October 27 2023 and to celebrate, the “ You’re Beautiful ” singer has announced a widespread tour of Europe earlier today - with a number of UK dates confirmed in the process.
This would mark, according to Setlist.FM , the second time since 2022 that James Blunt will have performed live when he took to the stage at Feel Good festival in Belgium in September of that year, with a forthcoming BBC Radio 2 In The Park performance scheduled for September 16 2023.
The polarising singer first shot to fame through the release of his second single, “You’re Beautiful” from his album “ Back to Bedlam ” in 2005, which topped a number of singles charts across the world and at one stage could boast that his single “Goodbye, My Lover” was the most requested funeral song back in 2006. Though the singer has had detractors within the music industry (namely reviewers), he still remains a popular figure - especially thanks to his online presence.
Blunt has been known to take to Twitter at times to call out fans who have attempted to belittle him, and showing that he isn’t a “super serious artist” trope has on more than one occasion shown his lighter side. He performed a version of his hit single on Sesame Street , changing the lyrics to “My Triangle,” becoming one of a number of modern artists to grace the hallowed Children’s Workshop/Jim Henson Workshop institution.
“Who We Used To Be” is available for preorder now on vinyl and CD formats through the musician’s website, including an interesting looking “lenticular” CD edition and a recycled vinyl edition.
Where is James Blunt performing in the UK as part of his European tour?
James Blunt will be performing at the following locations in the United Kingdom as part of his “Who We Used To Be” album tour:
- March 30 2024 - First Direct Arena, Leeds
- March 31 204 - Bristol Beacon, Bristol
- April 2 2024 - Brighton Centre, Brighton
- April 4 2024 - Utilita Arena, Newcastle
- April 5 2024 - OVO Hydro, Glasgow
- April 6 2024 - Motorpoint Arena, Nottingham
- April 7 2024 - Utilita Arena, Birmingham
- April 9 and 10 2025 - Royal Albert Hall, London
- April 12 2024 - AO Arena, Manchester
- April 13 2024 - Motorpoint Arena, Cardiff
- April 14 - Bournemouth International Centre, Bournemouth
How can I get tickets to see James Blunt on tour?
Tickets to see James Blunt at the host of UK tour dates he has announced can be purchased through Ticketmaster from August 30 2023.

‘Who We Used To Be’ is due October 27 and features 10 new songs, marking his first studio LP since his 2019 album, ‘Once Upon A Mind’.
It’s preceded by the feelgood lead single Beside You , which debuts an uptempo electronic direction for the You’re Beautiful hitmaker.
“It’s a bit of a celebration, an upbeat banger about finally being with the one you’ve been searching for your whole life,” says James of the song.
Two years ago, Blunt released his first greatest hits record, ‘The Stars Beneath My Feet (2004-2021)’ , which features recordings from across his career along with four new songs.
His latest move comes on the back of a nationwide tour in 2022.

James Blunt announces huge Manchester gig as part of 2024 UK tour
Contains affiliate links
James Blunt has announced a massive gig here in Manchester at the AO Arena.
The former British Army officer-turned-singer-songwriter announced news of his European tour this morning, in support of his upcoming album.
Who We Used To Be will be James Blunt’s seventh album and his first release since 2019.
His 2024 tour will take him to cities including Manchester , Leeds, Bristol and Newcastle, as well as two shows at the iconic Royal Albert Hall in London.
After his AO Arena gig on 12 April, he’ll finish the tour with final shows in Cardiff and Bournemouth.
The singer’s debut album Back to Bedlam was released way back in 2004 and went on to be 11x Platinum certified, spawning hit singles like High, Goodbye My Lover, and You’re Beautiful.
And even if you’d rather listen to nails on a chalkboard for the rest of eternity than hear You’re Beautiful one more time, James Blunt has become a bit of a national treasure – especially thanks to his sharp wit and no-nonsense banter on social media.
🆕 With his upcoming album #WhoWeUsedToBe on the way this October, @JamesBlunt also announces a brand new tour – and he's coming to the @AOArena ! 🎟️ Tickets available from 10AM Friday 1 September! ℹ️ https://t.co/5e7OHxT8Mz #JamesBlunt #Manchester pic.twitter.com/wkruqIjlqZ — AO Arena (@AOArena) August 23, 2023
For example, earlier this year, he tweeted: “OTD in 2006, You’re Beautiful hit Number 1 in the US, and i think we can all agree that the world has gone to sh*t since.”
You can pre-order Who We Used To Be for access to a ticket pre-sale.
General tickets go on sale on Friday 1 September at 10am through See Tickets .

The Co-op Live has announced it is postponing both The Black Keys gig and Peter Kay’s performance.
Both shows were set to take place this week as the huge arena finally opens in Manchester.
This is the second time Peter Kay has been rescheduled – the show was meant to officially open the venue earlier this week.
Co-op Live went ahead with a test event with Rick Astley last Saturday, albeit with a capacity that was reduced at the eleventh hour.
But the huge venue was hit with ‘power supply issues’ and took the ‘difficult decision’ to postpone Peter Kay.
It’s now gone one step further and pushed back The Black Keys – meant to be their first proper live music event – as well as Peter Kay AGAIN.
An important update from Co-op Live pic.twitter.com/Yr9FQZajSf — Co-op Live (@TheCoopLive) April 26, 2024
In a statement shared today, the Co-op Live said it has been ‘undertaking an extensive protocol of testing critical procedures to ensure all areas are ready for fans’.
It said that the shows are being rescheduled to ensure they can ‘run safely’.
The 23,500-capacity arena said this will give them ‘the extra time we need to continue testing enhanced emergency communications thoroughly’.
The Black Keys will now perform on 15 May, and Peter Kay on 23 and 24 May.
As for the Bolton -born comedian, he sounds somewhat in disbelief himself:
My apologies once again but unfortunately the Co-op Live still isn’t ready and so, as yet, remains untested for a large-scale audience. Consequently, they are having to reschedule my two shows yet again (I know I can’t believe it either). Read the full statement below. pic.twitter.com/QgiIdiNVlu — Peter Kay (@peterkay_co_uk) April 26, 2024
Co-op Live’s statement reads: “Since making the difficult decision to postpone the live shows at Co-op Live due to take place this week, we have been undertaking an extensive protocol of testing critical procedures to ensure all areas are ready for fans.
“To ensure that we can run all shows safely, regretfully we have now had to take the decision to reschedule the planned The Black Keys and Peter Kay shows.
“Both The Black Keys and Peter Kay have graciously agreed to reschedule their shows. The Black Keys will now perform on 15 May 2024, and Peter Kay will now perform on 23 and 24 May 2024.
“All tickets remain valid and ticket holders will be contacted by their point of purchase. Refunds will be available for those who can no longer attend.
“We deeply appreciate the impact this will have on excited fans, and sincerely apologise for the inconvenience that this change will undoubtedly cause.
“Rescheduling Peter Kay and The Black Keys will give us the extra time we need to continue testing enhanced emergency communications thoroughly.
“This is vital to satisfy the rigorous set of guidelines and protocols that are necessary for a venue of this size to ensure that our fans, artists and staff have the safest experience possible.”

The boss of Co-op Live, Manchester’s enormous, ground-breaking new arena, has resigned from his position just days before the venue is set to open.
The enormous music-first arena has been taking shape beside the Etihad Stadium for several years, and was due to welcome its first official audiences this week, but has been hit with last-minute challenges.
And now Co-op Live ‘s boss Gary Roden has quit the mammoth project, with the news of his resignation announced late Thursday evening.
Oak View Group, which Co-op Live is part of, said in a statement that they would like to ‘thank Gary for his help bringing the UK’s newest arena to live entertainment fans’.
Stepping into his shoes as interim general manager will be Rebecca Kane Burton, who previously ran the U.K.’s highest-grossing venue, London’s The O2 arena.
Gary has previously come under fire for saying that some grassroots music venues ‘poorly run’ – a statement that OVG has now distanced itself from.
A separate statement said that ‘neither Co-op Live nor Oak View Group share the sentiment expressed by former Co-op Live General Manager Gary Roden regarding the grassroots industry’.
It continued: “As OVG Chairman and CEO Tim Leiweke has repeatedly stated, Co-op Live remains committed to grassroots music in Manchester and beyond, including teaming up with Mayor of Greater Manchester Andy Burnham on the Artist of the Month campaign, and as a founding partner of Beyond The Music.
“Co-op Live also donates over £1m a year to the Co-op Foundation to support communities and empower young people to take social action through its new Young Gamechangers fund.
“Oak View Group and Co-op Live remain happy to meet with grassroots organisations once the venue is fully operational.”
The news of the venue’s boss stepping down comes at a time when all eyes are on Co-op Live, the opening of which has been delayed.
The Co-op Live’s opening event – two nights with Bolton comic legend Peter Kay – was pushed back due to ‘power supply issues’.
The venue did host a test event with Rick Astley last weekend, but even that faced difficulties, with thousands of tickets cancelled to reduce capacity just hours before showtime.
It’s now set to officially open this Saturday 27 April with a performance by rock group The Black Keys.
The full statement from OVG about Gary’s resignation said: “Gary Roden has decided to resign. We’d like to thank Gary for his help bringing the UK’s newest arena to live entertainment fans and wish him the best for the future.
“Rebecca Kane Burton has been named Interim GM, effective today. Rebecca is a seasoned veteran of venue management and live entertainment in the UK having served as VP/GM of The O2 from 2012-2016 and CEO of LW Theatres from 2016-2021.
“We are focused on opening Co-op Live.”
