Koe Wetzel Announces Massive World Tour

Country rocker Koe Wetzel will tour American and European arenas, theaters, clubs and amphitheaters this summer and fall on his extensive 46-date “Damn Near Normal World Tour.”

Kicking off July 27 at Cynthia Woods Pavilion in The Woodlands, Texas — Wetzel’s home state — the “Damn Near Normal World Tour” spans 34 U.S. dates with cities including Las Vegas, Washington, D.C., Boston, Nashville and more, with the stateside run culminating at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre on October 13 before Wetzel heads overseas for a dozen stops in the U.K., Netherlands, Germany, Sweden, Norway and Denmark. Texas-based touring favorite Koe Wetzel 's 2024 is taking shape. The artist looks to expand his reach beyond being a streaming-beloved genre favorite to make deeper and longer inroads into country music's mainstream moment.

With his just-announced world tour surrounding the release of his new single "Damn Near Normal," he'll change up very little about his push. To wit, other road-worn and rock-inspired country favorites, including Treaty Oak Revival, Kolby Cooper, Pecos & The Rooftops, Tanner Usrey, Dylan Wheeler, Kat Hasty, and Kolton Moore, will join as special guests on tour dates.

Wetzel's tour again visits Nashville's Ascend Amphitheater on Sept. 27, 2024 (he played the venue prior in May 2023).

Tickets will be available at http://www.koewetzelmusic.com on Apr. 5 at 10 a.m. local time. American Express cardholders can purchase tickets before the general public begins on Apr. 3 at 10 a.m. local time and goes through Apr. 4 at 10 p.m. local time.

The "Damn Near Normal" tour encompasses 46 dates spread over 34 American cities plus 12 overseas stops in the United Kingdom, Netherlands, Germany, Sweden, Norway and Denmark.

Alongside those tour dates, Wetzel's popularity has led to his playing at almost a dozen festivals in 2024, including Rock the Country, Tortuga, Cattle Country, Country Thunder, Country Jam, and Watershed. In addition, because of his massive Texas fanbase, he'll join Morgan Wallen's "One Night At A Time" world tour in Arlington, Texas, in July.

"It's been a fun winter in the studio working on new music, but we can't wait to get rowdy with the fans back on the road. And who knows, we might even have some more new music to sing for y'all at these shows soon," offered Wetzel in a press statement.

In the past half-decade, Wetzel's career has surged to now bear multiple gold and platinum-certified recordings, including 2020's "Drunk Driving," plus work from his genre-bending top-20 2022 album "Hell Paso."

Like the rest of his rootsy, genre-bending rock catalog, Wetzel's latest single celebrates his devil-may-care attitude and "waking up somewhere new on the road every day, up playing music all hours of the night with our fans" on a "wild ride we're on that looks totally different than most people's 'normal'… but I wouldn't have it any other way."

"Real job, good wife, two kids / Don't know what exit I missed / And this road I'm on, is kinda dark alone," he sings in the bare-truths song's open. "Fake job, no wife, no kids / Can't believe I'm living like this," he sings.

The track's creation also reflects where Wetzel's interests lie insofar as advancing his success.

"Damn Near Normal" was written by Wetzel alongside Gabe Simon (Lana Del Rey, Noah Kahan, Dua Lipa), Amy Allen (Justin Bieber, The Chainsmokers, Harry Styles), Carrie Karpinen and artist Sam Harris; the song was co-produced by Simon and Karpinen and mixed by Grammy-winning mixer and engineer Ryan Hewitt (Blink-182, Kacey Musgraves, Noah Kahan, Red Hot Chili Peppers).

In addition to headlining his own Koe Wetzel’s Incredible Music Festival, he has packed arenas, amphitheaters, and ballparks across North America, attracting a devout audience. At the top of 2022, Koe and longtime collaborator Taylor Kimball retreated to Sonic Ranch recording studio—a stone’s throw from the Mexican border just outside of El Paso, TX. Holed up on a pecan farm for a month, they had nothing to do “except eat wonderful Mexican food and fucking play music.” “It was straight-up bliss, man,” he says. “I couldn’t go to the bar because there isn’t one. I just had to make music!” Fittingly, he set the stage for Hell Paso with “April Showers.” Powered by a galloping riff awash in distortion, it culminates on one of his most chantable choruses. “It gives you a taste of the entire record,” he adds. “It was a good song for everyone to jump into.” On its heels, the single “Creeps” crawls on grimy guitar towards a sing-song refrain tailormade for stadium-size crowds—or karaoke at your favorite old watering hole. “It was a feel-good song for me,” he says. “I’m big into the Zombie apocalypse like The Walking Dead, so I wanted an apocalyptic zombie video for this b*tch.” Punctuated by nocturnal Spanish guitar and Spaghetti Western-style whistling, “Cabo” recounts a weekend of endless debauchery in Mexico with no shortage of gory details. “It’s a million percent true,” he grins. “I’ve pissed off a lot of girlfriends and wives, but other than that it’s wonderful.” Hank Ealy from Turnpike Troubadours lays down tear-drenched pedal steel on “So Low” where Koe confesses, “I’m so low it’s f*cking awesome. Makes me glad there ain’t a cure for insane.” “It was like nothing we’ve ever done before, so I was like, ‘Hell with it, put it on here’,” he says. “YellaBush Road” brings him back home with vulnerable verses and another vital hook, “And I’m way too blessed to b*tch today.” “‘YellaBush Road’ is my community,” he goes on. “It used to be a lot bigger. They had a school, a church, and everything out there. Now, there’s not even a road sign for it. This is my hometown song though. You get on the road, you get away from everything you know, and you start to miss it. So, the tune puts me back there.” Then, there’s “Better Without You.” Guitar wails in between a punchy beat as he promises, “I’m doing better without you being around.” “I bought a house a year ago, and I’ve probably slept in my bed for maybe like two months out of the last year,” he notes. “I had to unpack everything in my garage. One of those boxes had all of my ex-girlfriend’s shit in it. It was raining outside. I was in one of those moods where I was like, ‘F*ck this, I’m going to sit on the couch and grab a guitar.’ You’re over it, but you’re not really over it.” The ride reaches its emotional highpoint on “Sad Song.” He concludes the record with a fiery final word. “I just got in the booth and sang,” he recalls. “It was all in the moment.” In the end, there’s nobody like Koe, and we should be really f*cking grateful. “We brought everything together into one on Hell Paso,” he leaves off. “You’ve got to be yourself. Once I put out something authentic, it worked. This record is going to get a lot of flack, but it’s going to get a lot of love too. I’m not going to stop. Hopefully, I go home at some point, kiss grandma, and she’ll maybe cook me breakfast.”

Koka Booth Amphitheatre has enhanced it's public safety policy to include a clear bag policy.

PREMIERE PARKING:  A limited number of Premiere Parking  will be available for $25 in advance and will be sold at the event, if spaces are available. Parking spaces will be held closest to the Main gate. Pass entitles 1 car to cark in Premiere Parking section in the FRONT of the Preferred Lot.

PREFERRED PARKING:  A limted number of Preferred Parking  will be available for $20.00 in advance and will be sold at the event, if spaces are available. Parking spaces will be held across from the Main gate. Pass entitles 1 car to park in the Preferred Parking section in the BACK of the Preferred Lot.

Parking passes may be purchased at the box office in person, by phone through Etix or online at etix.com.

Koe Wetzel Announces World Tour in 2024

There’s been quite a bit of buzz about Koe Wetzel lately. It’s not easy to merge two genres like country and grunge and make it work, but this singer/songwriter has it down to a science. And fans will be happy to hear that he’s kicking off a world tour in 2024!

The Damn Near Normal World Tour will kick off this summer and span the United States, United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Germany, Sweden, Norway, and Denmark. He’s not going alone, either. Supporting acts for the trek will include Treaty Oak Revival, Kolby Cooper, Pecos And The Rooftops, Tanner Usrey, Dylan Wheeler, Kat Hasty, and Kolton Moore.

The Koe Wetzel 2024 Tour will kick off on July 27 in The Woodlands, Texas at Cynthia Woods Pavilion. The tour will end on November 13 in Copenhagen, Denmark at Lille Vega.

Fans can sign up for ticket alerts via Wetzel’s website . Some tour dates are also available on Ticketmaster , complete with a few presale events for various tour dates that will start on April 2.

Koe Wetzel has gained notoriety for the rowdy, raucous atmosphere at his live shows, with his ferocious blend of blistering electric guitars and fiery, anthemic hooks translating perfectly into a high-octane set.

The Texas native is currently in the middle of his popular 2023 Road to Hell Paso Tour , with Wetzel recently adding a whole new roster of dates to the already expansive run of shows.

With Koe Wetzel having five full-length projects to his name, it's safe to say he has no shortage of songs when it comes to narrowing down his live show setlists.

So far, the ‘Creeps’ hitmaker has been kicking off his performances with the heavy-hitting, alt-rock-inspired ‘Kuntry & Wistern’, before transitioning into his 2022 single, ‘April Showers’.

Unsurprisingly, Wetzel's recent Diplo and Kodak Black collaboration, ‘Wasted’, has made its way into his 2023 setlist. The genre-blending track was the lead single from Diplo's new Thomas Wesley: Chapter 2 - Swamp Savant project, which fuses EDM, country and hip-hop.

The chart-topping DJ's new album serves as the follow-up to his country-inspired 2020 project, Snake Oil.

Fans will be excited to see that - alongside ‘April Showers’ and ‘Creeps’ - Wetzel has been performing a number of other highlights from his latest project, Hell Paso , which inspired his 2023 tour name. These include ‘Cabo’ and ‘YellaBush Road’.

Other staples at Koe Wetzel's electrifying live shows are ‘Cold & Alone’, ‘Ragweed’ and ‘Something to Talk About’, while the Texan still concludes his sets with his fan-favourite hit, ‘February 28, 2016’, from his celebrated project, Noise Complaint .

Koe Wetzel Stops Country Thunder Festival After Fan Losses Service Dog

F or decades, the Country Thunder music festival entertained fans in numerous states like Arizona, Wisconsin, and even Florida. Hosting a string of concerts that focused on country music, the festival welcomed top singers like Morgan Wallen, Chris Young, Blake Shelton, Thomas Rhett, Luke Bryan, and the iconic Toby Keith. This year, the festival welcomed Koe Wetzel to the stage. Releasing songs like “April Showers”, “Money Spent”, and “Oklahoma Sun”, the country singer not only entertained fans of country music but also helped locate a missing dog. 

While wanting nothing more than to entertain fans, Wetzel found himself on a rescue mission when he found out that a person was missing their service dog. Hoping to help find the missing dog, Wetzel decided to stop his show to address the crowd. Putting out what he considered to be a “red alert”, the artist advised those in the crowd to help locate the missing animal. He even offered them the dog’s name. “Just look around; if y’all see a black dog, just be like, ‘Yo Sosa…come here.’ Boy right? It’s a boy dog named Sosa, just throwing that out there. We are on red alert.” 

Tanner Usrey Shares His Excitement To Tour Alongside Koe Wetzel

Outside of Country Thunder, Wetzel prepares to hit the road once again for his Damn Near Normal tour. Excited to tour, the country singer won’t be alone as he is bringing another country singer, Tanner Usrey, with him. Excited about the opportunity to tour with Wetzel, Usrey decided to share his love for country music but cover Wetzel’s hit song “Love.” Not only featuring Wetzel, but the ballad was a collaboration with Parker McCollum.

Posting his performance on Instagram, Usrey gained high praise from fans as they filled the comments with love. One person wrote, “Dig Koe for sure but your music is just top notch. Glad to see yall getting together.” Another person added, “Please tell me you’re gonna sing this with him. If so someone better video that for me lol”

As for Wetzel , his tour will continue through the summer and run until October when he performs at the famous Red Rocks Amphitheatre.

The Bolshoi Theatre

The Bolshoi Theatre is the oldest, the most famous and popular opera and ballet theatre in Russia. The word “Bolshoi” means “big” in Russian. You can buy a ticket online in advance, 2-3 months before the date of performance on the official website . Prices for famous ballets are high: 6-8 thousand rubles for a seat in stalls. Tickets to operas are cheaper: you can get a good seat for 4-5 thousand rubles. Tickets are cheaper for daytime performances and performances on the New Stage. The New Stage is situated in the light-green building to the left of the Bolshoi's main building. The quality of operas and ballets shown on the New Stage is excellent too. However, you should pay attention that many seats of the Bolshoi’s Old and New Stages have limited visibility . If you want to see the Bolshoi’s Old Stage but all tickets are sold out, you can order a tour of the theatre. You can book such a tour on the official website.

If you want, following Russian tradition, to give flowers to the performers at the end of the show, in the Bolshoi flowers should be presented via special staff who collects these flowers in advance.

In August the Bolshoi is closed.

The Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Music Theatre

This theatre is noteworthy. On one hand, it offers brilliant classical opera and ballet performances. On the other hand, it is an experimental venue for modern artists. The theatre has a very beautiful historic building and a stage with a good view from every seat. Tickets are twice cheaper than in the Bolshoi.

The Novaya Opera

“Novaya” means “New” in Russian. This opera house was founded in 1991 by a famous conductor Eugene Kolobov. Its repertoire has several directions: Russian and Western classics, original shows and divertissements, and operas of the 20th and 21st centuries. It is very popular with Muscovites for excellent quality of performances, a comfortable hall, a beautiful Art Nouveau building and a historic park Hermitage, which is situated right next to it. Galina Vishnevskaya Opera Center

The Opera Center has become one of the best theatrical venues in Moscow. It was founded in 2002 by great diva Galina Vishnevskaya. Nowadays its artistic director is Olga Rostropovich, daughter of Galina Vishnevskaya and her husband Mstislav Rostropovich, great cellist and conductor. Not only best young opera singers perform here, but also world music stars do; chamber and symphonic concerts, theatrical productions and musical festivals take place here. Tchaikovsky Concert Hall and The Great Hall of Moscow Conservatory

These are two major concert halls for symphonic music in Moscow. Both feature excellent acoustics, impressive interior, various repertoire and best performers. Moscow International Performing Arts Center (MIPAC)

This modern and elegant concert hall houses performances of national and foreign symphony orchestras, chamber ensembles, solo instrumentalists, opera singers, ballet dancers, theatre companies, jazz bands, variety and traditional ensembles. Actually, it has three concert halls placed on three different levels and having separate entrances. Tanner Usrey Covers Koe Wetzel’s “Love” Ahead Of ‘Damn Near Normal Tour’

Leading up to Tanner Usrey hitting the road with Koe Wetzel , Tanner is getting into the touring spirit by jamming out to “Love.” If you know anything about Koe’s catalog, you know that this duet with Parker McCollum is one of the best sad country songs out there…which makes us oh so incredibly happy.

The duet with the two Texas natives hit you where it hurts, and with Tanner Usrey being a sad song connoisseur himself, it makes for a perfect cover choice. Hanging out in his bedroom, Tanner pulled out his guitar and recorded a little snippet of him singing the song.

“Was it an accident When a broken heart and a bullet mark is all that she left? To ask if I give a damn, should be out of the question Don’t ask me no question ’cause

I don’t love you Selfish don’t love nobody And I can’t love you like you should be loved.”

Tanner belts out the words as he strums his acoustic, drilling the sad words into your head as they leave his lips. As someone who personally loves “Love,” and Tanner’s sound, this is a match made in heaven for my ears.

I hope that Koe pulls Tanner out on stage to sing this one while they are boppin’ around on the road together. Talk about a helluva treat for the crowd if that happens.

While I’d die to see clips of these two performing “Love” together, Koe’s recent Instagram caption would also lend itself to a one-of-a-kind show.

“Playing nothing but 80’s Billy Joel covers in California this week, y’all come catch a show and drink some cold pop with us.”

I know he is kidding, but now the idea is in my head and I’d LIVE to see Koe cover some Billy Joel. Fire up a little “It’s Still Rock and Roll To Me.”
