The KTM Ride Orange Street Demo Tour gives riders the chance to check out the 2023 lineup.

Organized by KTM North America, Inc. in association with participating dealers, this will be your chance to get up close and to explore the 2023 lineup together with knowledgeable KTM experts on location, before taking to some of the most enjoyable roads in the country. Each ride will take place on pre-planned routes that will be sure to deliver an exceptional experience at this year’s KTM Ride Orange Street Demo Tour.

From the spectacular KTM 1290 Super Duke R Evo to the razor-sharp KTM 890 Duke R—until the new 790 Duke arrives—and KTM 390/200 Duke lightweight heavy hitters, there will be no shortage of Ready To Race performance on offer. In addition, riders will have the chance to climb aboard the current Adventure range, featuring the KTM 1290 Super Adventure R and KTM 1290 Super Adventure S models alongside the KTM 890 Adventure R, KTM 890 Adventure and KTM 390 Adventure variants. Plus, don’t miss the KTM 690 Enduro R, KTM 690 SMC R or KTM 500 EXC-F models.

Registrations for each stop of the 2023 Ride Orange Street Demo Tour open at 9 a.m. on the morning of that event, with riding to take place between 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Demos are first come, first served.

In order to participate, you must be 25 years or older for 690 cc and up, and 21 years old or above for 500cc and under. Participants 21-to-24 years old can ONLY ride motorcycles 500cc and under. Experienced riders only (no beginners). NO passengers are allowed at any time and KTM staff can revoke riding privileges at any time for any reason deemed necessary.

All riders must show a government issued photo ID with motorcycle endorsement and will be required to complete a signed waiver prior to any demo rides. Proper riding apparel is essential, including but not limited to a DOT-approved helmet, eye protection, gloves, long sleeves, pants and sturdy footwear.

KTM Ride Orange Street Demo Tour For 2022

If you want to demo an orange bike this year, KTM is giving you the opportunity. The Austrian manufacturer will be conducting a Ride Orange Street Demo Tour around the US .

The demo tour begins on February 26 at KTM’s headquarters in Murrieta, California.  It will make stops at some of the US’s large motorcycle events.  KTM says that the rides will be held on some of the nation’s best roads on preplanned routes developed in partnership with participating KTM dealers.

Available demo bikes

Many bikes from the KTM lineup will be available to demo, including KTM’s new RC 390, which you can ride starting in April.  Here’s a list of bikes that will be available during the “Ride Orange Street Demo Tour.”

• 1290 SUPER ADVENTURE R/S
• 1290 SUPER DUKE R EVO
• 690 ENDURO R / SMC R
• 390 ADVENTURE (at select demos)
• RC 390 (starting in April)
• 350/500 EXC-F* (at select demos)

Unfortunately, it seems KTM’s 890 Adventure will not make the tour this year.

“In order to participate in the KTM RIDE ORANGE STREET DEMO, you must be 25 years or older for 690 cc and up, and 21-years-old or above for 500 cc and under.  Participants 21 to 24-years-old can ONLY ride motorcycles 500 cc and under.  Experienced riders only (no beginners). All riders must show a government issued Photo ID with motorcycle endorsement. Demos are on a first-come first-served basis and registration will take place on-site the morning of the event.”

If you are curious about KTM’s lineup for the new year, this is your chance to get some seat time on many of their popular travel, dual sport, supermoto and naked bike models. Kicking off March 1st, each “Ride Orange Street Demo Tour” stop across the U.S. lets you get up close and personal with the available models while riding through great local routes.

The nationwide demo tour is currently set to include 10 ride events with several stops at some of the largest motorcycle events in the country, including the popular KTM Adventure Rally (see schedule below). Participants of the demo program will experience their bike of choice on pre-planned routes that navigate through some amazing riding areas.

KTM has yet to disclose the full lineup of specific models available for demo. However, they have confirmed that the heavy-hitting KTM 990 Duke, as well as the popular KTM 790 Adventure and 1290 Super Duke GT will make the list.

Participants will receive a VIP Card voucher (valued up to $500 MSRP), redeemable on KTM PowerParts, KTM PowerWear and/or KTM SpareParts at an authorized KTM dealer with the purchase of a new KTM STREET model.

The ride events are free but experience on a motorcycle is required (no beginners). In order to participate in the KTM Ride Orange Street Demo, you must be 25 years or older to ride any displacement. Riders 21 to 24 years can only ride bikes 500cc and under. All riders must show a government issued Photo ID with motorcycle endorsement and bring proper riding gear.

Registrations for each tour stop will take place on-site and open at 9am on the morning of that event, with riding to take place between 10am-3:30pm. Demos are first come, first serve.

According to KTM’s recent press release , the Sreet Demo Tour – and all related festivities – are scheduled to run from March 1-9. Registration will open at 9:00am, so be sure to be on time because the riding will begin at 10, and the bikes are only available on a first-come, first-serve basis!

Any rules to keep in mind when trying out KTM’s 2024 range at the Street Demo Tour?

There is, of course, the age limit for this tour (typical for a large bike testing event like this one). 

KTM’s 2024 motorcycle range will be available to anybody over the age of 21 with a valid motorcycle license, though only those over the age of 25 will be able to ride whatever they like.  If you’re between the 21 and 24 year range, you’ll be limited to bikes 500cc and lower in displacement. 

KTM also holds a strict “no two-up” policy, with a preference for experienced riders. That means a smart list of gear, too. 

For ease of access to KTM’s beauty bikes, we recommend bringing: 

• A DOT-approved helmet
• Eye protection (if not included in the helmet)

Opened in 1935, under Stalin’s regime, the metro was not only meant to solve transport problems, but also was hailed as “a people’s palace”. KTM North America is proud to announce the 2021 KTM Ride Orange Street Demo Tour, with dates all over the United States. The 2021 KTM Ride Orange Street Demo Tour is scheduled to kick-off Saturday, March 20, at KTM’s North American Headquarters in Murrieta, California. Touring the Top 10 Moscow Metro Stations

Hidden underground, in the heart of Moscow, are historical and architectural treasures of Russia. These are Soviet-era creations – the metro stations of Moscow.

Our guide Maria introduced these elaborate metro stations as “the palaces for the people.” Built between 1937 and 1955, each station holds its own history and stories. Stalin had the idea of building beautiful underground spaces that the masses could enjoy. They would look like museums, art centers, concert halls, palaces and churches. Each would have a different theme. None would be alike.

The two-hour private tour was with a former Intourist tour guide named Maria. Maria lived in Moscow all her life and through the communist era of 60s to 90s. She has been a tour guide for more than 30 years. Being in her 60s, she moved rather quickly for her age. We traveled and crammed with Maria and other Muscovites on the metro to visit 10 different metro stations.

Moscow subways are very clean

To Maria, every street, metro and building told a story. I couldn’t keep up with her stories. I don’t remember most of what she said because I was just thrilled being in Moscow.   Added to that, she spilled out so many Russian words and names, which to one who can’t read Cyrillic, sounded so foreign and could be easily forgotten.

The metro tour was the first part of our all day tour of Moscow with Maria. Here are the stations we visited:

1. Komsomolskaya Metro Station  is the most beautiful of them all. Painted yellow and decorated with chandeliers, gold leaves and semi precious stones, the station looks like a stately museum. And possibly decorated like a palace. I saw Komsomolskaya first, before the rest of the stations upon arrival in Moscow by train from St. Petersburg.

2. Revolution Square Metro Station (Ploshchad Revolyutsii) has marble arches and 72 bronze sculptures designed by Alexey Dushkin. The marble arches are flanked by the bronze sculptures. If you look closely you will see passersby touching the bronze dog's nose. Legend has it that good luck comes to those who touch the dog's nose.

3. Arbatskaya Metro Station served as a shelter during the Soviet-era. It is one of the largest and the deepest metro stations in Moscow.

4. Biblioteka Imeni Lenina Metro Station was built in 1935 and named after the Russian State Library. It is located near the library and has a big mosaic portrait of Lenin and yellow ceramic tiles on the track walls.

5. Kievskaya Metro Station was one of the first to be completed in Moscow. Named after the capital city of Ukraine by Kiev-born, Nikita Khruschev, Stalin's successor.

6. Novoslobodskaya Metro Station  was built in 1952. It has 32 stained glass murals with brass borders.

7. Kurskaya Metro Station was one of the first few to be built in Moscow in 1938. It has ceiling panels and artwork showing Soviet leadership, Soviet lifestyle and political power. It has a dome with patriotic slogans decorated with red stars representing the Soviet's World War II Hall of Fame. Kurskaya Metro Station is a must-visit station in Moscow.

8. Mayakovskaya Metro Station built in 1938. It was named after Russian poet Vladmir Mayakovsky. This is one of the most beautiful metro stations in the world with 34 mosaics painted by Alexander Deyneka.

9. Belorusskaya Metro Station is named after the people of Belarus. In the picture below, there are statues of 3 members of the Partisan Resistance in Belarus during World War II. The statues were sculpted by Sergei Orlov, S. Rabinovich and I. Slonim.

10. Teatralnaya Metro Station (Theatre Metro Station) is located near the Bolshoi Theatre.
