However, since every GoPro user is unique, I made sure to include different types of cases, all with distinct specialties. This way, it will be easy for you to find the perfect GoPro case for your specific situation.

• Waterproofing: Water-resistant

The Casey is the ultimate GoPro travel case for action and adventure enthusiasts. It’s waterproof and versatile because of the customizable interior dividers. I use it to hold my GoPro HERO 10 Black, selfie stick, chargers, memory cards, and various mounts. 

Best of all, it’s lightweight and easy to carry. It will easily fit into your flight bag, keeping your GoPro equipment safe while you travel. In terms of its build quality, the Casey is made with a semi-rigid, weather-resistant shell. Therefore, the compression-mold case can keep your GoPro and equipment safe. 

The padded interior features soft tricot lining, which prevents scratches and impact damage if you accidentally drop or bump your Casey into something. This case also has a removable mesh pouch you can use to store small personal items, batteries, and memory cards. 

Furthermore, the case features a soft-grab carry handle, making it comfortable to carry the case in one hand. 

The only downside to this case is that it might not be large enough for some GoPro users. If you have a GoPro Jaws Clamp, Max Tripod, or Float Stick, you need to purchase a larger case or keep them separately in your travel backpack. Overall, I’m more than satisfied with the quality of this bag and the problems it solves.

The interior space features pre-cut high-quality EVA foam padding that holds your equipment in place. This case also has a durable zipper and comfortable carrying handle. 

The outer shell is constructed with a rigid cordura nylon material that’s shock-resistant and impact-proof. Furthermore, there’s a convenient elastic pocket on the lid for memory cards and other small items. Although this case is specifically designed for GoPro cameras, you can also use it to store anything such as music equipment or miscellaneous charging cables. 

In essence, the Amazon Basics GoPro case is the perfect size for on-the-go GoPro users. For example, I can comfortably fit my GoPro camera, 4 SD cards, 3 batteries, a charging cable, and 3 to 4 different mounts inside this case. You can also cut the interior foam yourself to fit the items you need to fit perfectly. 

However, similar to the Casey, this case might be too small for some GoPro users. If you have a lot of GoPro accessories you want to bring on your travels, I recommend the Ramson GoPro cases listed below. However, you can’t go wrong with the Amazon Basics GoPro case if you want a budget-friendly option perfect for travel adventures. 

My Verdict: Amazon Basics consistently provides high-quality alternatives at affordable price points, and they’ve done it again with their GoPro case. The exterior shell features a heavy canvas that offers moderate protection for your GoPro equipment. 

• Weight: 15.9 ounces
• Size: 13 x 9 x 3.4 inches (Length x Width x Depth)
• Waterproofing: Water-resistant 

The Vamson GoPro Case is a large GoPro case that comes at an affordable price point. Therefore, this is the perfect option if you want a safe place to store lots of different GoPro mounts and accessories. 

This case is built with a hard PU shell that’s impact-resistant and protects your camera from external shocks. It’s also stain–resistant and easy to clean with a cloth and water. Since the case is water-resistant, you don’t need to worry about rainy days or the ocean splashing onto your boat.

The Vamson GoPro Case features one long and two short foldable space dividers. It also includes a removable mesh storage bag you can use to store small accessories such as batteries, memory cards, and charging cables. 

With the Vamson GoPro case, you’ll never have trouble finding the exact GoPro accessory you are looking for. If you’re like me, you may have dozens of different accessories and mounts. This case organized everything in a safe and secure manner. This is also a great option if you need somewhere to store multiple action cameras. 

My only criticism of this case is that I wish it was constructed with a sturdier handle. Although the handle is perfectly functional, it’s not as comfortable to carry as other options on today’s list, such as the Casey’s handle at rank number one.

My Verdict: The Vamson GoPro Case is the perfect choice for GoPro users with a lot of different accessories, mounts, and attachments. Since it’s the largest case on today’s list, you can safely store and organize all your camera gear.

• Size: 9.6 x 5.5  x 2.8  inches (Length x Width x Depth)
• Waterproofing: Waterproof

The Smatree Waterproof Case is a hardshell case that easily fits your GoPro camera, charger, 4 batteries, 2 memory cards, and other small accessories. Since it’s constructed with ABS material, it’s water-resistant, anti-shock, and anti-scratch.

During my testing, I dropped this case with all my equipment inside from eye level directly onto concrete. Although there was a tiny scratch on the case’s exterior, my GoPro camera and equipment were completely unharmed.

If you have never owned a GoPro case and want something exceedingly durable, you won’t find a safer and more secure case than the Smatree Waterproof Case. In terms of customization, you can easily modify the interior foam by cutting out additional sections to hold your specific equipment. 

This is one of the only cases I bring with me on underwater adventures such as scuba diving, snorkeling, and surfing. I’m more than comfortable letting water splash onto the case since it’s built for exactly this purpose. 

The only downside to this case is that it may be relatively small for some individuals. However, I don’t mind carrying my additional mounts and tripods in my backpack and using the Smatree Waterproof case to hold my essential GoPro gear that needs water protection.

My Verdict: The Smatree Waterproof Case is the best waterproof GoPro case constructed with a hard shell exterior and waterproof seal. In addition, the padded interior compartments keep all your camera equipment safe and secure. 

• Weight: 47 ounces (2.99 pounds)
• Size: 11.02 x 9.68 x 4.17 inches (Length x Width x Depth)

The Smatree SmaCase is an unbelievably durable case that you can compare to a heavy-duty toolbox because that’s precisely what it looks and feels like. In addition, this case features two layers and can easily store various GoPro accessories such as suction cups, head straps, chest mounts, and more.

The top compartment features foam inserts where you can store your GoPro camera, 2 SD cards, 4 batteries, 1 WiFi remote, and 2 battery packs. The lower compartment features two sections you can store larger equipment such as mounts and harnesses.

Personally, I use the bottom compartment to store my GoPro suction cup, a 6-foot USB cable, a head harness, a chest harness, and a float handle. However, you can use the bottom compartment to store whatever GoPro equipment you want to bring on your trip. 

In essence, this is a professional case that’s built with top-quality materials. As a result, it’s incredibly durable and can handle falls from nearly any distance without damaging the components inside. Furthermore, the foam is of higher quality and more protective than other options on today’s list. 

My only complaint about this case is that the Smatree logo stickers started peeling off after using it for a few months. Nonetheless, I was able to use superglue and push them back into place. 

My Verdict: The Smatree SmaCase is the best premium GoPro case because it’s made from heavy-duty ABS materials, making it incredibly durable. It provides the most protection for your GoPro equipment out of all the cases listed in today’s guide.

• Weight: 10.9 ounces
• Size: 9.44 x 6.69 x 2.55 inches (Length x Width x Depth)

The SUREWO GoPro Case is a mid-sized GoPro case you can use to store a moderate amount of GoPro equipment and accessories. Due to its size, it’s the perfect compact GoPro case you can put inside your backpack or carry-on luggage while traveling.

Built with high-quality PU materials, it’s water-resistant and damp-proof. Furthermore, the interior is made with premium pre-cut EVA foam you can use to store and organize your GoPro camera and equipment safely. There’s also a double-deck elastic mesh pocket that holds cables and other small items. 

Personally, I use the SUREWO GoPro case to store my camera, 4 batteries, memory cards, charging cable, battery charger, and floating GoPro handle. This case is lightweight and durable, and I recommend this case to anyone who needs a protective case to hold basic GoPro equipment.

Overall, the SUREWO GoPro case is very durable, tidy, flexible, and perfect for storing your action camera and all of its essential accessories. 

For an inexpensive GoPro case, there’s not much to complain about. However, it came with a slight scent that smelled like gasoline. However, the smell dissipated within a few days and didn’t come back to bother me.

My Verdict: The SUREWO GoPro Case is an excellent option if you want a case that stores extra batteries, selfie sticks, mounts, and SD cards. You can also put your charging cable and other small accessories in this case. 

• Weight: 1.76 ounces
• Size: 3.94 x 2.76 x 1.77 inches (Length x Width x Depth)

The JSVER GoPro Case is a miniature GoPro case that’s 3.94 inches long, 2.75 inches wide, and 1.77 inches deep. In terms of storage, you can store one GoPro HERO 10/9/8 with an additional battery. However, if you have a GoPro HERO 7/6/5/4/3, you can store two additional batteries inside this compact case. You can also store additional memory cards. 

Furthermore, this case includes a carabiner you can use to attach it to other bags. Although this case is exceedingly small, it’s still water-resistant and shockproof. Built with a hard outer shell and a padded interior, you can rest assured knowing your GoPro is in safe hands.

If you need a small and durable case to protect your GoPro camera lens during travel, you can’t go wrong with the JSVER GoPro case. I love using this case when I don’t want to lug around my larger case with all my accessories. Therefore, I occasionally keep my GoPro in this case, attached to my backpack when I want to keep it handy in case I’m inspired to record something. 

Best of all, it’s small enough to fit into my back pocket. It lays open easily, resists being crushed while zipped, and the zipper is nicely installed and made with high-quality materials. 

The primary downside of getting this case is also its primary benefit, it’s extremely small. Therefore, you shouldn’t expect to be able to fit any GoPro accessories other than one or two batteries and a few memory cards. However, if you want a compact and sturdy GoPro case to keep your camera safe, the JSVER GoPro case is the perfect option.

My Verdict: The JSVER GoPro Case is a miniature option that only stores a GoPro camera. Therefore, this is the best GoPro case if you want extra protection for only your camera during travels and action adventures.

If you travel with your GoPro camera frequently, it’s a great idea to invest in a case. Not only will a GoPro case protect your camera, but it will also make it easier for you to organize and store your GoPro accessories and mounts. In essence, all your camera equipment is stored in one easy-to-access location.

I tested dozens of different GoPro cases rigorously to find the top seven best cases outlined in today’s guide. Hopefully, by now, you have found a GoPro case that fits your needs and budget. Although the Casey is an excellent case, you may need something larger like the Vamson GoPro case.

The exterior of this case can take a beating. The hard plastic is watertight, dustproof, and crush-resistant.

Its outside also features stainless-steel hardware that will not damage due to mishandling during flights. The durable exterior makes the Pelican an ideal case if you have to check the case during a flight.

Do not worry if you accidentally get the case wet. It features an automatic pressure equalization valve and an o-ring seal that keeps the box watertight. 

There is plenty of room inside for a GoPro, mounts, a small drone, and other accessories.

Using the Pick N’Pluck feature, you can customize the foam interior to match your gear so it stays snug inside the case. I found it very easy to customize – I just set the camera on top and started pulling out the corresponding foam bricks.

It comes in 6 colors: black, blue, desert tan, orange, silver, and yellow (pictured). This is great if you need multiple cases – you can color code by gear type.

For travelers looking for a compact case, the Pelican 1060 Micro GoPro case is an option. This case has a water-resistant casing (IP67) and a dustproof and crushproof exterior. 

The IP67 water resistance makes the Pelican ideal for boating or fishing. The case can survive for up to 30 minutes submerged in 3.3 feet of water.

The Thule Legend helps you keep your gear organized while traveling. The interior has spots for your camera, mounts, wires, and accessories. 

The case’s interior features padded compartments that match your GoPro and its accessories. There is also a lid pocket where you can safely store SD cards, batteries, cables , and more.

The exterior is a semi-hard shell and is incredibly tough. While not a true hard case, we found it provides plenty of crushproof protection for your gear. 

Thule Legend’s case features a quick-grip handle that can attach to a backpack or harness with a carabiner.

Inside you’ll find a deep case that should hold most of your gear while traveling. There are four removable walls for organizing gear inside the bag. If you need more room, you can remove one or two walls to increase the space inside the bag.

The interior of the lid has a mesh pouch for smaller accessories as well. 

5. Official (Included) GoPro Case

Some GoPro cameras ship with a free, basic carry case.

Which GoPro camera comes with a carry case? When you buy either the Hero10 Black or Hero9 Black, you’ll receive a basic carry case.

Here’s what the case looks like for the Hero10 Black.

As you’ll see, it is very basic, and the cardboard insert probably won’t last a long time. But the little carry case isn’t bad and will keep your cables and mounts all in one place.

I don’t think you can purchase this one separately – you’ll get it for free when you buy either the Hero11, Hero10, or Hero9 cameras.

North Korea’s Kim Jong Un sends condolences to Russia’s Putin over deadly Moscow attack

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has offered his condolences to Russian President Vladimir Putin following the deadly concert attack in Moscow, state media Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported on Sunday.

Kim “expressed deep condolences and sympathy” to Putin, the Russian people, the victims and their families on the news of heavy casualties caused by a “large-scale terrorist attack in (the) Moscow region,” KCNA reported.

North Korea opposes “all sorts of terrorism and nothing can justify the heinous terrorism threatening human life,” Kim said in the KCNA report. “Our people regard the misfortune and sorrow of the friendly Russian people as their own pain.”

ISIS releases graphic video they claim shows Russia concert hall attack

ISIS-affiliated news agency Amaq released a graphic video on Saturday that purports to show Friday’s attack at a concert hall in suburban Moscow recorded by one of the attackers, suggesting the perpetrators had a direct link to ISIS in order to be able to send the video.

CNN has geolocated it to the concert hall and notes that its identifying metadata has been erased.

The video, which is about 90 seconds long, shows four attackers with their faces blurred and voices distorted in what appears to be the Crocus City Hall complex.

The video shows one attacker signaling to another gunman, who then walks past a door where people are hiding and opens fire on them.

Bodies and blood can be seen on the floor, with fire raging at a distance.

The video also shows one of the attackers slitting the throat of a man lying on his back.

The video ends with the four attackers walking away inside the building as smoke can be seen at a distance.

On Friday, ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack, according to a short statement published by Amaq.

On Saturday, Russian President Vladimir Putin suggested Ukraine was behind the attack, stating the perpetrators had “tried to hide and moved towards Ukraine, where, according to preliminary data, a window was prepared for them on the Ukrainian side to cross the border.”

Ukraine has vehemently denied any connection to Friday's attack.

Company that owns Crocus City Hall venue calls attack a "monstrous tragedy"

The Russian company Crocus International, which owns Crocus City Hall, expressed its deep condolences in a statement Sunday to the victims of the terrorist attack at the concert hall in the Moscow region Friday, which left more than 130 people dead.

"Together with the whole of Russia, we mourn the dead and hope for a speedy recovery of those who’ve suffered in this monstrous tragedy," the company said. "In these difficult days, we are doing and will do everything possible to help the authorities and special services with their difficult work, and together with the whole country help victims of the terrorist attack."

The statement thanked concert-goers, partners and artists for their support and assistance.

"Special thanks to the concert hall team, who acted professionally, clearly, and heroically in a crisis situation, and thanks to this, managed to save most of the guests and employees who were in Crocus City Hall that evening," it continued.

White House says there was "no Ukrainian involvement whatsoever" in Moscow region onslaught

US Vice President Kamala Harris and the White House National Security Council said there is no evidence that Ukraine is behind the attack at a concert hall near Moscow.

“There is no, whatsoever, any evidence — and in fact, what we know to be the case is that ISIS-K is actually, by all accounts, responsible for what happened,” Harris said in an interview with ABC News. “What has happened is an act of terrorism and the number of people who've been killed is obviously a tragedy and we should all send our condolences to those families."

National Security Council spokesperson Adrienne Watson said:

"In early March, the US government shared information with Russia about a planned terrorist attack in Moscow. We also issued a public advisory to Americans in Russia on March 7. ISIS bears sole responsibility for this attack. There was no Ukrainian involvement whatsoever."

Here's what you should know about the moscow area concert venue shooting.

A Friday night attack at Crocus City Hall, a popular concert venue complex near Moscow, left more than 130 people killed and even more wounded after assailants stormed the venue with guns and incendiary devices. ISIS has claimed responsibility for the attack, without providing evidence.

Four suspects involved in the attack were detained in the Bryansk region and taken to Moscow, where they are now in the custody of Russia's Investigative Committee, Russian state media TASS reported Saturday.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said "miserable" Russian President Vladimir Putin waited   overnight before publicly addressing Russians, only to accuse   Ukraine of having a hand in the terror attack at a concert hall near Moscow.

Here are other headlines you should know:

• More on the attack: According to the interior ministry, “all terrorists detained in the Bryansk region are foreign citizens ,” Russian state media reported. RIA Novosti published on Telegram the purported confession of one of the apprehended men. CNN cannot independently verify the RIA Novosti report or the statements made by the alleged attacker, which may have been made under duress.
• Ukraine vehemently denies any connection: Defense Intelligence of Ukraine spokesperson Andrii Yusov firmly denied his country had anything to do with the terror attack. Earlier Saturday, Putin  told the Russian people  that the perpetrators had “tried to hide and moved towards Ukraine, where, according to preliminary data, a window was prepared for them on the Ukrainian side to cross the border." A handful of Russian officials have suggested  without evidence  that Ukraine may have been involved in the attack as well.
• Global reactions: Leaders around the world — such as the French, Israeli and Turkish presidents — have expressed their condolences and condemnation of the onslaught. The United States “ strongly condemns ” the shooting, according to the White House and Secretary of State Antony Blinken. United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres also denounced the attack , stressing that ISIS is a significant global threat at a news conference Saturday.
• Belarus claims it thwarted suspects: Belarusian special services helped Russia prevent the "terrorists" who allegedly carried out the deadly attack from escaping across the border Friday night, the country's ambassador in Moscow said.
• Estimated damage total: The total estimated damage to the Moscow region's Crocus City Hall after Friday's terror attack is between 9.5-11.4 billion rubles, or approximately $103-124 million, according to a shopping union vice president, as reported by Russian state media RIA Novosti.

Zelensky accuses Putin of trying to blame concert hall attack on Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said "miserable" Russian President Vladimir Putin waited overnight before publicly addressing Russians, only to accuse Ukraine of having a hand in the terror attack at a concert hall near Moscow.

On Saturday, Putin told the Russian people that the perpetrators of the Crocus City Hall attack had “tried to hide and moved towards Ukraine, where, according to preliminary data, a window was prepared for them on the Ukrainian side to cross the border.”

Zelensky and several Ukrainian officials have vehemently denied Ukraine has any kind of involvement in the attack.

In his nightly address, Zelensky also said that Russians "have come to Ukraine, burn our cities – and try to blame Ukraine."

Zelensky added that if the Russian people do "not ask any questions to their security and intelligence agencies, then Putin will try to turn such a situation to his personal advantage again."

More background: The terror group ISIS claimed responsibility for Russia's attack, according to a short statement published by ISIS-affiliated news agency Amaq on Telegram Friday. ISIS has not provided evidence to support the claim.

Earlier this week, Putin had dismissed warnings by the US embassy that there could be terrorist attacks on large groups, telling the Federal Security Service (FSB) that the embassy warnings were "provocative" and "outright blackmail."

White House "strongly condemns" Moscow region terror attack

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said in a statement Saturday that the United States “strongly condemns” the terrorist attack at a concert venue complex near Moscow that left at least 133 people dead.

She added that ISIS, which has claimed responsibility for the attack without providing evidence, is a “common terrorist enemy that must be defeated everywhere.”

“We extend our deepest condolences to those who lost loved ones and to those who were injured or affected by these unconscionable attacks against innocent civilians," Jean-Pierre said in a statement issued by the White House. "ISIS is a common terrorist enemy that must be defeated everywhere."

4 suspects in Friday's attack are being questioned by Russian investigators, state media reports

Four suspects in Friday's terrorist attack on Crocus City Hall were detained in the Bryansk region and taken to Moscow, where they are now in the custody of Russia's Investigative Committee, Russian state media TASS reported Saturday.

The suspects were brought in two prisoner transport vehicles, which are still in the courtyard of the committee, a TASS correspondent reported. This indicates that the suspects are being interrogated and the investigation is ongoing, according to TASS.

In the coming days, investigators are expected to file a court motion asking for imprisonment as the chosen preventative measure. All four suspects face life imprisonment, TASS reports.
