10 Elf Filming Locations in NYC To Visit!

' src=

Buddy the Elf, what’s your favorite color?! Check out some of the most famous Elf filming locations in NYC, one of the most beloved holiday classics and best Christmas movies set in NYC !

Are you a fan of the 2003 Christmas film Elf? Ever wondered where Elf was filmed? I’ll tell you—right in New York City, with the exception of a few interior scenes filmed in Vancouver.

Of course, there are a lot of movies filmed in NYC , but few films have done such an excellent job of encapsulating what this city is truly like during the holiday season the way Elf has, which is probably why so many love this Christmas classic!

Without further ado, below we will give you the most notable NYC filming locations used in Elf!

Elf Filming Locations in New York!

Empire state building.

top of empire state building from 230 rooftop bar in nyc

So, where was Elf filmed? Remember the scene where Buddy (Played by Will Ferrell) goes into his father’s (played by James Caan) office with him, attempts to be a business-oriented adult, but his child-like personality can’t help but seep through?

The company (‘Greenway Press’) where Buddy’s father works, is located in the Empire State Building (2t 20 West 34th Street at 5th Avenue). It’s one tall building, so be prepared if you plan on visiting!

When you watch the film you’ll notice a few establishing shots of exterior views of the Empire State Building as well as scenes of Buddy going inside.

If you’re planning a visit to NYC during Christmas , you can visit the Empire State Building and check out the observatory too!

Central Park West

One of the most memorable scenes in the entire movie would have to be the dinner scene where Buddy is seen downing an entire liter of Coca-Cola, and then immediately scarfing down a bowl of maple syrup-covered spaghetti!

This scene was shot at the apartment building located at 55 Central Park West. For those who don’t know, it was the same building used for Sigourney Weaver’s character in 1984’s Ghostbusters, another one of the best movies set in NYC of all time!

Pinebank Arch Bridge

View this post on Instagram                         A post shared by Brig McGee (@brig.on.bridges)

And not too far away, filmed at Pinebank Arch Bridge (Central Park at West 62nd Street) was the big snowball fight scene! After defeating the group of bullies, it’s at this point in the film where Michael (Played by Daniel Tay) begins to see Buddy in a new light and starts to admire him!

As far as NYC filming locations go, this is a particularly popular spot as it’s been used in other films like Great Expectations (1998) and Léon: The Professional (1994). As photogenic of a spot this is—who can blame them?

Lincoln Tunnel

Remember the scene where we see Buddy as he walks through the Lincoln Tunnel? Traffic looked pretty real, didn’t it?

It was said by Jon Favreau (the director), that during the filming, there were a lot of close calls and fender-benders—due to the drivers being distracted by a grown man dressed up as an elf! Understandable.

This famous mall (Located on 34th Street) was used for highly comedic section of the film. It’s here we see Buddy enter the mall, spray perfume in his mouth mistaking it for breath freshener, struggle to figure out how to go up an escalator, and being mistaken for an elf that works at the mall.

Not to mention where Buddy the Elf works, decorates and meets Jovie not to mention the scene where Walter Hobbs finds Buddy sleeping in the holiday window display on his way to work.

Unlike most of Elf’s NYC filming locations, this one more or less improvised. Apparently, the producers wanted to use Macy’s (On 34th Street), but ended up settling for Gimble’s which was a real department store that closed in the 1980s. Not too bad with all things considered, as it still ended up being a pretty fun scene!

Remember when Buddy the Elf is jumping across the crosswalk? This scene was along the popular 5th Avenue (where you can find many holiday displays) at the crosswalk between East 22nd and East 23rd Streets on 5th Avenue.

As is the case with a lot of the filming locations in NYC, 5th Ave can be pretty busy during the evening. Make sure to look both ways when crossing this street!

The Gimbels exterior scenes were also filmed along 5th Avenue and 30th Street. The moviemakers used CGI magic to bring this former department store back to life!

Rockefeller Center Plaza

On Jovi and Buddy’s fun and romantic date, another landmark where Elf was filmed is Rockefeller Center Plaza, where we get to see both the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree and the ice rink.

This is not only one of the best Christmas trees in NYC (used in many movies and tv shows) but this is also one of the most famous ice rinks in NYC too!

In the movie, this is where we see these two characters start to fall for one another. For any couples in New York—don’t be afraid to steal this as a date idea, this is always a popular proposal spot too.

Queensboro Bridge

At one of his lowest points in the film, we see Buddy climb the Queensboro Bridge (At 59th Street) as a way to escape his own sadness and loneliness.

Fortunately for him and the viewers, he sees Santa crash his sleigh before doing anything too rash. And of course the park that the Santa’s sleigh lands in just so happens to be…

Central Park

Central Park. It’s here where we see Buddy, with his newfound motivation to live, attempts to come to Santa’s aid.

Here we get our grand finale, as Buddy is assisting Santa and while Michael convinces the crowd that Santa is real on live TV and has to work with Jovie and the rest of the crowd to get Walter to sing “Santa Clause is Coming to Town”—Granting Santa enough holiday spirit to get his sleigh up and running again!

This is also where we see the scary horseback Central Park rangers chase Santa and his sleigh! This Elf filming location in NYC is one of the most intense and suspenseful!

Bethesda Terrace

Another Elf NYC filming location in Central Park. As Santa’s sleigh flies off, we get to see the Bethesda Terrace, one of the most iconic features of Central Park. When it comes to NYC landmarks being used as filming locations, Elf was right to at least briefly show this one.

It’s a beautiful landmark that should be visited by everyone who visits Central Park—whether you’re a New York resident or just visiting! Also, in addition to chasing down some of the best Elf filming locations in NYC, you can also visit the best- hidden gems in Central Park too!

Get in the Christmas spirit by joining us on our Buddy the Elf Sites Tour!

You will experience New York City through the eyes of our favorite curious, yet not so little elf from the North Pole. This city has so much to offer, but as Leon the Snowman told Buddy, be careful of the yellow snow!

This guided sightseeing tour will be full of stories! Can you expect anything else though?

So, put on your favorite elf hat and meet us in Central Park where Santa and Buddy take off in the sleigh with the magic of Christmas spirit! Then you’ll head to the Pinebank Arch, but watch out for snowballs! From there, you’ll visit the Rockefeller Plaza to see the ice skating rink and the famous Christmas tree. Make sure to be on your best behavior when we arrive at the Empire State Building because Buddy wasn’t so lucky when he visited. On this tour, you’ll pass through the Upper West Side, Times Square, Flatiron District, and more NYC neighborhoods!

What Will You See On This Tour?

  • Visit Bethesda Terrace, where Buddy and Santa escape from the Central Park Rangers on Santa’s sleigh with the magic of Christma spirit
  • Walk across the Pinebank Arch to get a view of how Buddy and Michael get ambushed in a snowball fight
  • Take pictures of the ice rink and Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center as seen during Buddy and Jovie’s first date
  • Stroll past the Empire State Building, but be careful of the taxis!
  • See the Gimbels building, Buddy’s North Pole home away from home
  • Drive by Walter Hobbs’ apartment, which is also the iconic “Spook Central” from Ghostbusters

Meanwhile, Elf, famously starring Will Ferrell, is another classic staple of the holiday season and, of course, scenes from New York are featured in the movie, which is about to celebrate its 20th anniversary.

Other beloved holiday movies were also filmed in New York City and the tour takes you to Macy’s spectacular holiday window displays, just like you saw in Miracle on 34th Street. Of course, this is the home of Macy’s famous holiday parade.

However, the tour isn’t just about movies as it is also a great sightseeing tour for anyone wanting to see more of the Big Apple . Even better, the tour guides are local New York City actors and actresses. Along the way, they will test you with fun trivia questions, and share little-known facts and behind-the-scenes information about the movies. While doing so, they get everyone firmly into the holiday spirit (if they aren’t already there!).

Photos show what the iconic locations in 'Elf' look life in real life

  • I've lived in New York City for over a year, and I've been to many of the spots where the movie "Elf" was filmed.
  • Most of the locations shown in the 2003 film look the same today, like the Empire State Building and Central Park.
  • Gimbels, where Buddy (the elf the movie is about) works, used to be a real department store in NYC, but it closed in the '80s; the Textile Building was used as the exterior of Gimbels in the movie instead.
  • Visit Insider's homepage for more stories .

Insider Today

Warning: Spoilers ahead for the movie "Elf."

Every December, my brother and I watch "Elf" together. Then, we spend the whole year referencing its many hilarious bits to one another whenever they are relevant.

Now that I live in New York City, where my favorite holiday movie was filmed, I've passed through many of the film's iconic locations from Rockefeller Center to Central Park.

But while you can visit some of the sites from the movie, I've found that they don't all look like they do in the film.

"Elf" is my all-time favorite Christmas movie.

new york elf tour

The 2003 film stars Will Ferrell as Buddy, an adult who grew up in the North Pole among Santa and elves. Buddy thinks he's an elf too until he leaves the North Pole to find his human father, Walter Hobbs, played by James Caan.

Buddy finds his father, who is initially reluctant to care for him, in New York City. While Buddy explores the city, gets to know his family, and falls in love with a lady, Santa struggles to prepare for Christmas Eve. His sleigh runs primarily on Christmas spirit, a source of fuel that the world is running low on.

Santa ends up crashing in Central Park while trying to deliver gifts, and Buddy gets the chance to act as his elf by helping him with the sleigh. Meanwhile, Buddy's new loved ones help Santa by bringing the Christmas spirit to Central Park through song. And together, they all save Christmas.

I live in New York City, and I've been to the film's many iconic locations.

new york elf tour

Much of the film takes place around Central Park, where Buddy's dad lives, and the Empire State Building, where Buddy's dad works.

It also features other iconic locations like Rockefeller Center, and seemingly random ones, like the 23rd Street subway entrance east of Broadway.

Iconic spots and unforgettable moments in the film were shot in the middle of Manhattan, from the Flatiron Building to Central Park.

new york elf tour

The film is depicted in Manhattan, one of New York City's five boroughs.

When Buddy gets to New York, he finds his father at the Empire State Building.

new york elf tour

In the movie, Walter Hobbs works for a publishing company inside the Empire State Building.

The real-life lobby is pretty much identical, except there aren't always Christmas trees inside.

new york elf tour

The lobby has the same mural in real life as it does in the film.

Just a couple blocks away from the Empire State Building is the building that was used as the exterior of Gimbels.

new york elf tour

Gimbels, the store where Buddy meets his love interest, Jovie (played by Zooey Deschanel) used to be a real department store in Manhattan's Herald Square.

The store opened in 1910, becoming a competitor to the nearby Macy's flagship store (which opened in 1902), according to the Chicago Tribune.  That rivalry came to an end when Gimbels closed in 1986, The New York Times reported .

In real life, the Textile Building is stripped of the Gimbels logo and holiday decor.

new york elf tour

Manhattan's Textile Building was used as the exterior shot for Gimbels in the movie, according to the IMDb page for "Elf." CGI was used to transform the building's facade into a Christmas wonderland for the film, its IMDb page says.

It takes about seven minutes to walk from the Textile Building to the subway entrance where Buddy ate stale globs of gum he picked from beneath the railing.

new york elf tour

Although Santa told him not to, Buddy can't resist the sweet temptation of chewed gum he finds beneath a subway entrance railing at East 23rd Street. Buddy eats all kinds of sugary foods throughout the movie thanks to his sweet tooth.

In real life, it's the uptown and Queens entrance to the East 23rd Street subway station next to Broadway, and it looks just like it does in the film, minus the gum. Yes, I checked.

new york elf tour

I'm thrilled to report that I found no gum underneath this particular railing.

About three miles north of the subway entrance, you'll find the building where Buddy's family lives: 55 Central Park West.

new york elf tour

Walter Hobbs lives in 55 Central Park West with his wife Emily, played by Mary Steenburgen, and his son Michael, played by Daniel Tay. Buddy moves in with them.

Unlike Gimbels, this building looks just like it does in the film in real life.

new york elf tour

The building was also Spook Central in the film "Ghostbusters," where the Ghostbusters' first client lived.

Central Park is across the street from the apartment building. The park is massive, but the bridge featured in the scene of the snowball fight is very close by.

new york elf tour

Buddy and Michael bond through a snowball fight as they charge underneath a bridge. It was the Pine Bank Bridge, according to Movie-Locations.com . The bridge is in Central Park West next to Umpire Rock.

Aside from the snow, this area looks the same as it does in the film.

new york elf tour

There are many arches and bridges in Central Park West, but I found this to be the prettiest one in the area. It's the one I'd pick to use in a film.

A couple miles south of Central Park West, Rockefeller Center's skating rink is where Buddy and his love interest Jovie kiss for the first time.

new york elf tour

Buddy has a romantic evening with Jovie where they explore New York City's Christmas decor in department store windows and try some of Buddy's favorite activities, like running around inside revolving doors. They end up at the ice skating rink at Rockefeller Center.

The scene looked similar in 2019 around Christmastime, but the rink appeared less crowded in the movie.

new york elf tour

In reality, visiting Rockefeller Center is an ordeal. Without a VIP ticket, massive lines can take hours. I've never skated the rink, but every time I've gone to the area in December, it has been incredibly crowded, making it less romantic than it appears in the film.

Aside from the crowds and CGI additions, all the iconic locations from the 2003 film hold up in modern-day New York City.

new york elf tour

I'll have to take my brother on this "Elf" tour of New York City next time he visits.

  • What all the iconic locations in 'Home Alone 2: Lost in New York' are like in real life
  • I visited Salem to tour iconic locations from 'Hocus Pocus' and they looked exactly like they did in the movie
  • The Rockefeller Christmas tree always looks like a hot mess when it arrives, and photos from years past prove it
  • The best films to watch if you can't go home for the holidays this year

How to spend a day in Manhattan as Buddy the Elf

WABC logo

MANHATTAN, New York (WABC) -- Don't be a cotton-headed ninnymoggins this holiday season!

Thousands visit Manhattan during the holiday season, but to make your trip unique, use Buddy the Elf as your muse. From visiting the Empire State Building to hopping across the street, these Elf-inspired activities will make your Christmas Eve both festive and funny.

1. Walk through Lincoln Tunnel (OK, well, bad idea).

Entering Manhattan by walking through the Lincoln Tunnel is probably the most authentic way to start your day as Buddy the Elf. According to Port Authority, however, doing this will land you a criminal court summons. So to make travel both Buddy friendly and legal, get to any destination by hopping. (But watch out, the yellow ones don't stop!)

2. Gallivant through Macy's on 34th Street.

Location: 151 W. 34th St.

The real department-store giant Gimbels closed its doors in the 1980s, and so the Gimbels featured in Elf is actually a digitally altered version of the 34th Street Macy's. There are several activities required for this stop, including tasting perfume samples, racing around the revolving doors and, of course, singing. You should also sit on Santa's lap, but please avoid telling him that he smells like beef and cheese.

3. Congratulate store owners for serving the World's Best Cup of Coffee.

Location: 21 East 27th St.

Every time you buy a coffee, whether it's from a corner deli, a Starbucks, or a hipster hotspot, make sure to publicly congratulate the store for serving "The World's Best Cup of Coffee." But if you're jones-ing for a truly praiseworthy cup of Joe, stop by NoMad's Birch Coffee, which has one of the highest ratings on Zagat for a Manhattan coffee shop.

4. Visit the Empire State Building.

Location: 350 Fifth Ave.

As the location of Walter Hobbs' office, the Empire State Building plays a critical role in "Elf." Unfortunately, sending Christmas grams to office buildings and getting drunk off of "syrup" in the mail room are forbidden. Instead, take a trip up to the Observation Desk to get a Santa's eye view of New York!

5. Visit one of the 30 Ray's Pizzas.

Location: 736 Seventh Ave.

According to Santa, the real Ray's Pizza is on 11th - or at least, it was. The pizza joint shut down in 2011, reopened as Famous Roio's pizzeria, then closed its doors again in 2013. Still, a few impostors have locations in Midtown. Stop by for a slice, and make sure to let your servers know (nicely) that their store sits on a throne of lies.

6. Eat a whole roll of cookie dough as fast as you can ... sort of.

Location: 362 West 45th Street

Although scarfing down an entire roll of Tollhouse Cookie dough seems fun, pairing this with a spin around revolving doors may have catastrophic results. For a stomach friendly alternative, check out Schmackary's in Midtown West, which serves chocolate chip cookies smothered in cookie dough frosting on Mondays, Fridays and Sundays. See who can eat a dozen of these the fastest!

7. Ask a special someone, "Do you want to get food?"

Location: 200 W. 44th St.

Those looking to use the "secret code" on a special someone should consider going somewhere that serves "real food." Since spaghetti is the only Buddy-approved dish that's not in the four main food groups, a trip to the legendary Italian restaurant Carmine's is a must. Unfortunately, none of the family-style pasta dishes are served with maple syrup, so customers must bring their own.

8. Go ice skating at The Rink in Rockefeller Center.

Location: 600 Fifth Ave.

No holiday trip to New York City is complete without stopping by the Rock. After enjoying your "real food," skip on over to The Rink in Rockefeller Center to go ice skating under the lights of the famous Christmas tree. Maybe you can even hold hands with another human with affinity for elf culture.

9. See Elf the Musical!

Location: 4 Pennsylvania Plaza

Adapted from the now legendary movie, "Elf the Musical" allows patrons to experience the magic of Elf live - with even more singing! The Theater at Madison Square Garden will host the musical from now until Dec. 27th, with ticket prices ranging from $39-$160.

How To Plan The Ultimate ‘Elf’-Inspired Day In NYC

Claire Leaden

“Elf” is such a New York Christmas movie, with so many iconic locations and insider city references. That also makes it the perfect inspiration for an incredible holiday outing in NYC that you can follow along.

Buddy’s first stop in NYC is at the Lincoln Tunnel, though it isn’t pedestrian-friendly so it’s probably not worth a visit on its own. Remember, he “passed through the seven levels of the Candy Cane forest, through the sea of swirly-twirly gum drops, and then walked through the Lincoln Tunnel” to arrive in our beloved Manhattan…

Here’s what he did the rest of the day, which you can easily do as well to get fully in the Christmas spirit!

Pick up the “World’s Best Cup of Coffee!”

new york elf tour

The diner where Buddy wishes a sincere “congratulations!” for the best cup of coffee isn’t an actual location in NYC (that we know of), but you can still congratulate your favorite coffee shop on making the best cup in the world, at least in your opinion! This scene was likely filmed around the Flatiron area, so if you’re really trying to be accurate, try Birch Coffee or Stumptown Coffee Roasters. Or, head to the country’s best coffee shop a borough away.

Get your shoes shined at Grand Central Terminal

new york elf tour

Just try not to fall off the seat laughing!

Address: 87 E 42nd St., Grand Central Terminal

Stop in the Empire State Building

new york elf tour

Next, Buddy goes to meet his dad for the first time in the Empire State Building. The look of the lobby is undoubtedly iconic, and it was even designated a historic landmark by the Landmarks Preservation Commission. You used to be able to enter the space without a ticket, but unfortunately now they made it the finale of the tour experience, so you’ll have to do the full visit to the top if you want to see the location from the movie.

Just don’t press every floor button in the elevator, even if it does look like a Christmas tree!

Address: 20 W 34th St.

Shop at Macy’s aka “Gimbels”

new york elf tour

Gimbels doesn’t actually exist anymore, as it was a department store that permanently closed in 1986, but they used it in the movie because Macy’s wouldn’t allow them to use their name. Nothing will be as good as Buddy’s DIY decorating, but at least you can check out their amazing window displays !

Address: 151 W 34th St.

Have a snowball fight in Central Park

new york elf tour

Head to Central Park for a snowball fight if the weather is cooperating. If not, just take a stroll around the park, particularly near the Pinebank Arch where Buddy and Michael have their epic snowball fight. Just don’t chop a Christmas tree down!

Address: Central Park, enter through Central Park West between 61st and 62nd St.

Pick up “elf food” at Dylan’s Candy Bar

new york elf tour

This wasn’t in the movie specifically, but you need somewhere to get the four main elf food groups: candy, candy canes, candy corns and syrup. You might have to go to the grocery store for the syrup, and don’t forget a box of spaghetti while you’re at it!

Address: 1011 3rd Ave.

Go ice skating at Rockefeller Center

new york elf tour

Have a magical holiday date night like Buddy and Jovie with a trip to the Rockefeller Christmas Tree and ice skating in the famous rink!

Address: 45 Rockefeller Plaza

Some other first-time-in-New-York activities he partakes in: hopping across the crosswalk lines, running around and around in a revolving door, and eating gum off the subway railing (though we definitely do not recommend this!).

Celebrate 20 Years Of Elf In New York City

Celebrate the movie Elf and head to New York City for the 20th anniversary.

" Buddy The Elf, What's Your Favorite Color ?" Tuesday, November 7th marks the 20th anniversary of the beloved Christmas movie, Elf! On Location Tours in spreading Christmas cheer by singing loud for all to hear on the brand new Elf Movie Sites Tour on Tuesday, November 7th at 2PM in New York City. Celebrate a whole two decades since the film was released and experience Manhattan through the eyes of our favorite curious yet not-so-little elf from The North Pole.

This tour will make the following stops:

1) You'll visit Bethesda Terrace, where Buddy and Santa escaped from the Central Park Rangers on Santa's sleigh.

2) You'll be able to walk across the Pinebank Arch, the scene of the infamous snowball fight.

3) You'll stroll past the Empire State Building (but be careful of the taxis!).

4) You'll see Macy's, Buddy's North Pole home-away-from-home, and more.

The tour is packed with fun behind-the-scenes secrets and filming trivia and is led by a local actor tour guide (who doubles as the ultimate Elf fan). So don't forget your festive elf hat, and as Leon the Snowman tells Buddy- Don't eat the yellow snow.

Buddy's disastrous trip to the Gimbels department store was filmed during the daytime when it was still open to the public. Shoppers were asked to sign release forms to appear in the movie, but many of them didn't realize they were in a film until it was released."

If you'd like to reserve your spot, please email Erin at [email protected]. Space is limited.

What Is the Story of Elf ? Elf begins at Santa’s North Pole workshop when one of the elves, Buddy, learns that he is not actually an elf; he’s human. When Santa tells Buddy the whereabouts of his birth father, Buddy heads to New York City hoping to reconnect with his dad. His father turns out to be a cranky workaholic who wants nothing to do with Buddy or his Christmas-loving antics. Buddy however develops a bond with his step-mother, half brother and a beautiful Macy’s co-worker and helps restore the lost holiday spirit of his jaded New York family.

Thanks for contacting us. We've received your submission.

Till Lindemann wears thick glasses while looking down in a photo.

Till Lindemann is leaving Rammstein behind in 2024.

Starting in September, the bombastic frontman will embark on his first solo U.S. tour with special guests Twin Temple and Aesthetic Perfection in support of his 2023 solo album “Zunge.”

Midway through the fall run, the 61-year-old drops into New York’s The Rooftop at Pier 17 on Tuesday, Oct. 1.

While this will be Lindemann’s first solo stateside jaunt, it won’t be the first time he’s performed without Rammstein.

Most recently, he wrapped an international 2023-24 solo tour in Mexico, according to Set List FM . On that run, he regularly performed 19 songs — including two encores — per show.

While we can’t guarantee what he’ll bring to the stage on his forthcoming North American tour, we do know the best way to find out is live.

Ccan’t wait to see the lively Lindemann?

You’re in luck. Tickets can be snagged for all of his 2024 U.S. and Canada concerts and festival appearances as soon as today.

Although inventory isn’t available on Ticketmaster until Friday, April 26, fans who want to ensure they have tickets ahead of time can purchase on sites like Vivid Seats before tickets are officially on sale.

Vivid Seats is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

They have a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and will be delivered before the event.

Till Lindemann tour schedule 2024

A complete calendar including all tour dates, venues and links to buy tickets can be found below.

Till Lindemann festival appearances

This September and October, Lindemann will lend his talents to a pair of heavy multi-day musical extravaganzas.

For a closer look, here are the dates, venues and fellow headliners at both festivals.

Till Lindemann set list

As noted above, Lindemann wrapped his 2023-24 in Mexico on Jan. 4.

Here’s what he performed that night, courtesy of Set List FM .

01.) “Zunge” 02.) “Schweiss” 03.) “Fat” 04.) “Altes Fleisch” 05.) “Allesfresser” 06.) “Golden Shower” 07.) “Tanzlehrerin” 08.) “Ich weiß es nicht” 09.) “Sport frei” 10.) “Blut” 11.) “Praise Abort” 12.) “Platz Eins” 13.) “Fish On” 14.) “Gummi” 15.) “Steh auf” Encore

16.) “Knebel” 17.) “Ich hasse Kinder” 18.) “Skills in Pills” Encore II

19.) “Entre dos tierras” (Héroes del Silencio cover)

Till Lindemann new music

On Nov. 3, 2023, Lindemann dropped his solo album “Zunge.”

Comprised of 11 tracks, the heavy rocker stretches his musical muscles and alternates between intimate quiet and chaotic, epic loud — the sound Rammstein is known for — with ease.

Highlights include the quirky “Sports Frei,” thumping “Altes Fleisch” and warbly anthem “Du hast kein Herz.”

Personally, we were most taken with the Ennio Morricone-esque “Tanzlehrerin” with its guitar licks, yearning vocals and gifted yet pained backing singer giving her all behind Lindemann.

Don’t sleep on the shockingly fun album closer “Selbst verliebt,” either. It’s an unexpected pop delicacy.

Want to hear for yourself?

You can listen to “Zunge” in its entirety here .

On Christmas 2023, Lindemann followed up the album release with the whirly, tongue trilling single “Entre dos tierras” en español.

It has our stamp of approval as well; the song is quite a bit of fun.

Till Lindemann special guests

At all shows, Lindemann will be joined by a pair of opening acts.

To make sure you’re acquainted with their sounds, you can find each band’s most-streamed song on Spotify below.

Twin Temple: “Lucifer, My Love”

Aesthetic Perfection: “Spit It Out”

Till Lindemann controversy

Lindemann was accused of sexual assault by a female fan last June over social media. She alleged he drugged her at a pre-show Rammstein VIP party in Lithuania and later approached her fox sex during intermission.

This led to backlash against Rammstein’s “VIP Experience;” fans believed Lindemann was using the ticket tier to bed fans.

After looking into the case, German prosectors dropped the case due to lack of evidence and testimony.

“The rapid termination of investigative proceedings by the Berlin state prosecutor’s office shows that there is insufficient evidence that our client allegedly committed sexual offen(s)es,” Lindemann’s lawyers said.

Rammstein drummer claimed Lindemann “has distanced himself from us in recent years and created his own bubble” and “things seem to have happened that, although legally ok, I personally don’t think are ok.”

Huge metal acts on tour in 2024

If Lindemann’s brief jaunt isn’t coming to a venue near you, we have just the solution.

Here are five metal acts that might be headed to your city these next few months.

•  Rob Zombie with Alice Cooper

•  Limp Bizkit

Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy learn how much loyalty is worth in new PGA Tour equity program

Players are receiving a portion of a nearly $1 billion equity share for staying loyal to the pga tour amid lucrative recruitment by liv golf., by doug ferguson | associated press • published 3 hours ago.

Players who stayed loyal to the PGA Tour amid lucrative recruitment by Saudi-funded LIV Golf are starting to find out how much that loyalty could be worth.

The PGA Tour on Wednesday began contacting the 193 players eligible for the $930 million from a  “Player Equity Program” under the new PGA Tour Enterprises .

The bulk of that money — $750 million — went to 36 players based on their career performance, the last five years and how they fared in a recent program that measured their star power.

How much they received was not immediately known. Emails were going out Wednesday afternoon and Thursday informing players of what they would get. One person who saw a list of how the equity shares were doled out said the names had been redacted. The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because many details of the program were not made public.

Get Tri-state area news and weather forecasts to your inbox. Sign up for NBC New York newsletters.

The Telegraph reported Tiger Woods was to receive $100 million in equity and Rory McIlroy could get $50 million , without saying how it came up with those numbers.

Commissioner Jay Monahan outlined the first-of-its-kind equity ownership program in a Feb. 7 memo to players, a week after  Strategic Sports Group became a minority investor  in the new commercial PGA Tour Enterprises.

Nelly Korda ties LPGA Tour record for consecutive wins with Chevron Championship triumph

The private equity group, a consortium of professional sports owners led by the Fenway Sports Group, made an initial investment of $1.5 billion that could be worth $3 billion. The tour is still negotiating with the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia — the financial muscle behind the rival LIV Golf league — as an investor.

Any deal with PIF would most certainly increase the value of the equity shares.

Another person with knowledge of the Player Equity Program, speaking on condition of anonymity because of the private nature of the dealings, said the equity money is not part of the SSG investment. That money was geared toward growth capital.

Golf.com received a series of informational videos on the Player Equity Program that was sent to players and reported only 50% of the equity would vest after four years, 25% more after six years and the rest of it after eight years.

It also reported how the 36 players from the top tier were judged on “career points,” such as how long they were full members, victories, how often they reached the Tour Championship and extra points for significant victories.

Jason Gore, the tour's chief player officer, said in one of the videos, “It's really about making sure that our players know the PGA Tour is the best place to compete and showing them how much the Tour appreciates them being loyal.”

Emails also were sent to 64 players who would share $75 million in aggregate equity based on the past three years, and $30 million to 57 players who are PGA Tour members. Also, $75 million in equity shares was set aside for 36 past players instrumental in building the tour.

The program has an additional $600 million in equity grants that are recurring for future PGA Tour players. Those would be awarded in amounts of $100 million annually started in 2025.

Players only get equity shares from one of the four tiers now, although everyone would be eligible for the recurring grants.

Even with equity ownership geared toward making the PGA Tour better, the concern was players questioning who got how much and whether they received their fair share.

LIV Golf lured away seven major champions dating to 2018 since it launched in 2022, all with guaranteed contracts and most of them believed to have topped $100 million.

McIlroy, playing this week in the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, was asked how much would make players feel validated for their decision to stay with the PGA Tour.

“I think the one thing we’ve learned in golf over the last two years is there’s never enough,” McIlroy replied.
