olivia rodrigo guts tour

Update: 9.19.23

Registration for Olivia Rodrigo’s GUTS world tour is now closed.

There has been massive fan demand for Olivia Rodrigo’s GUTS world tour, and even after the tour added 20 additional dates to meet the demand, there are still more fans who registered than there are tickets available. Due to demand, a limited number of fans will get access to the sale based on ticket availability and the majority of fans will be placed on the waitlist.

Every effort is made to give fans who are invited an opportunity to shop. If any tickets remain after the initial group of fans are given the opportunity to shop, we will begin moving additional fans off of the waitlist and inviting them to shop the sale.

Key Dates To Know

  • Registration for American Express® Early Access and the Registration Onsale closed on Sunday, September 17 at 10 pm ET .
  • Invitations for American Express® Early Access will be sent by the evening of Tuesday, September 19 .
  • American Express® Early Access to see Olivia Rodrigo takes place on Wednesday, September 20.
  • Invitations for the Registration Onsale will be sent by the evening of Wednesday, September 20 .
  • The Registration Onsale takes place on Thursday, September 21 .

Registration does not, however, guarantee that every fan will get access to the sale. We expect there will be more demand than there are tickets available. A limited number of randomly selected fans will get access to the sale, and others will be put on the waitlist. Getting access to the sale doesn’t guarantee tickets. Tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

How do I register for Olivia Rodrigo’s GUTS world tour?

Registration is now closed.

Please remember: This sale can only be accessed by the randomly selected individuals who registered and received a unique access code.

Registering does not guarantee you’ll get a code, and receiving a code does not guarantee you will get a ticket.

If you were waitlisted you may still be invited to future opportunities if tickets remain.

Common Questions

What happens if i’m on the waiting list.

There are often far more fans registered than there are tickets available, and in that case the majority of  fans are placed on the waitlist.

Sometimes, if tickets remain, additional fans may be randomly selected from the waitlist for future ticketing opportunities .

How will I know if I move off the waitlist?

Should additional tickets be available, fans may be randomly selected to move off the waitlist .

I got an email saying I’m on the waitlist, what does that mean?

When demand exceeds availability, random selection will determine which registered fans receive a unique access code and which are put on the waitlist.

If you’re currently on the waitlist, stay tuned — you may still have a chance to shop for tickets .

What’s the difference between American Express® Early Access and the Registration Onsale?

Registration for American Express Early Access is limited to American Express Card Members only. An American Express Card is required to proceed with the registration. Card Members will be prompted to sign in with their Ticketmaster account to continue and confirm their Card Member status. If you don’t have your American Express Card on file, you will be able to add it during the registration process. Anyone who is not an American Express Card Member can register for the registration onsale.

I received a confirmation email, what does that mean?

This email is to confirm your details and that we successfully received your registration. Please note that your confirmation email is not an invitation to shop. Once we get closer to the sales, you’ll receive an email with additional information about your invitation status.

Does registering mean I will get an invitation to purchase tickets?

No, registering does not guarantee that you will be selected for the chance to purchase tickets during the sales. Due to the limited quantity of tickets available, if demand for tickets exceeds supply, registered fans may be selected at random to participate in the sales.

Does receiving an invitation mean I will get tickets?

Receiving an invitation means that you’ll have the opportunity to shop for tickets. However, the ability to purchase tickets is determined by supply and demand, and is not guaranteed. Tickets are available on a first-come-first-served basis.

If I am selected to shop for tickets, will I be able to buy for more than one show?

If you are selected to participate in one of the sales, you will receive a unique text message for each show you have been invited to shop for. Please follow the instructions included in each text message to shop for your respective show(s).

When do tickets go on sale?

Tickets will go on sale on Thursday, September 21 . Only those who were sent a link and unique code will be able to access the waiting room and queue. Tickets will be sold on a first come, first served basis.

How do I access the ticket sale once I get a unique access code?

If you’ve received a sale link and unique access code, follow these steps:

  • Using the link provided to you via text, you can join the Waiting Room up to 30 minutes prior to your sale opening.
  • Sign in to your Ticketmaster account with the same email and password used for your registration — this is used to confirm you have access to the sale. Only those who were sent a link and unique code will be able to access the waiting room and queue.
  • When the sale opens, you will be placed in a virtual line.
  • Once it’s your turn, enter your access code exactly as it appears, and join the sale.

Remember: Access to the ticket sale does not guarantee you will be able to purchase tickets.

Why do I see tickets for sale before the Amex Early Access sale has even happened?

Many unofficial sellers will list tickets before they even go on sale. This practice is called speculative listing and fans should not trust resellers claiming to have tickets. Those speculative listings are not real tickets in hand. Beware of these sellers. Learn more about spec tickets here.

When should I expect my access code?

If you are selected to receive an access code, you will receive a code via SMS the evening before the ticket sales begins. This message will include information on when the sale starts, a salelink, and your unique, non-transferrable access code.

Can I share my access code with my friends or family?

No. Your access code is unique to your account, and for this reason, you cannot share your code with friends or family. Do not trust anyone selling an access code , as codes cannot be purchased or transferred .

Tickets have gone on sale, I registered and never received my access code?

Registering does not guarantee you will receive a n access code nor that you will have the ability to purchase tickets. Please note, we expect there will be more demand than there are tickets available. Tickets will be sold on a first come, first served basis.

Why didn’t my access code work?

Please make sure you entered the correct code and have not exceeded the ticket limit. Due to demand, all events have a ticket limit to allow more fans like you to get tickets.

There are often far more fans registered than there are tickets available, and in that case more fans placed on the waitlist than randomly selected for access.

Sometimes, if there are tickets available, additional fans will be randomly selected from the waitlist for access and receive an email with a unique access code and purchase link. Keep in mind, your notification may come at any time after tickets originally went on sale.

Should additional tickets become available, a select number of registered fans may be randomly selected to move off the waitlist. If this happens, you will be notified via text message.

If I was selected for American Express® Early Access, do I need to use an American Express Card to purchase tickets?

Yes, all tickets options available during American Express Early Access will require an active American Express Card to successfully complete your purchase.

Can I change or update my American Express Card to a different one after I register?

Yes, you may change or update your American Express Card between registering and purchasing tickets. An active American Express Card is required for both though, so please always ensure your Payment Options are up-to-date in your Ticketmaster account.

How much will tickets cost?

Standard tickets will range from $49.50 – $199.50 plus taxes and applicable fees in the U.S. Additional ticket options including a limited number of Charity Platinum and VIP packages will be available for purchase as well, with a portion of the proceeds from all ticket sales going to Olivia Rodrigo’s Fund 4 Good.

If my parent uses their credit card to buy tickets for me, do they need to attend the show and bring their card?

No. The tickets will be in the Ticketmaster account holder’s account. (Remember, receiving a code does not guarantee tickets.)

The Breeders, PinkPantheress, Chappell Roan, and Remi Wolf to Join on Select Dates

Registration for access to tickets is open now through sunday, september 17 at 10 pm on oliviarodrigo.com .

Today, multi-platinum, three-time Grammy award-winning artist Olivia Rodrigo announced her highly anticipated GUTS world tour in support of her second studio album, GUTS , which was released September 8 via Geffen Records to critical acclaim. Produced by Live Nation, the massive global 2024 tour kicks off its 57-date run on Friday, February 23 in Palm Springs, CA at Acrisure Arena, with stops across North America and Europe, including Miami, Toronto, New York, London, Amsterdam, Paris, and many more before wrapping up with back-to-back shows on Tuesday, August 13 and Wednesday, August 14 at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. The Breeders, PinkPantheress, Chappell Roan, and Remi Wolf will join on select dates across the tour.

Following the incredible success of her 2022 debut tour The SOUR Tour, the GUTS world tour will be Olivia’s first arena tour, taking her to iconic venues around the world including Madison Square Garden, Kia Forum, Sportpaleis, The O2 and more. During this run, she will be performing multiple nights in various cities, including two nights in New York, Los Angeles, and London.

One of the most highly awaited albums of the year, GUTS arrived as the follow-up to Rodrigo’s 4x Platinum 2021 full-length debut SOUR and features her No. 1 hit “vampire” and the new focus track “get him back!” Like “vampire,” GUTS ’ second single “bad idea, right?” was named a Best New Track by Pitchfork , who hailed the latter as “one of the best pop performances of the year.” Released last month alongside its B-movie-inspired video , “bad idea right?” also drew raves from the likes of Rolling Stone (who called it a “sugary headbanger”) and the New York Times (who praised the track as a “bright, kaleidoscopic head-rush of a pop song…” in its weekly column “The Playlist”).

Critical Acclaim for GUTS:

“Rodrigo is a songwriter of rather astonishing purity — even in her most stylized lyrics, she never wanders far from the unformed gut-kick of a feeling.” – The New York Times

“… Guts is another instant classic, with her most ambitious, intimate, and messy songs yet. Olivia’s pop-punk bangers are full of killer lines” – Rolling Stone

“Guts is a no-skip album”  – USA Today

“All over Guts, she’s so witty, so pissed off, so angsty at the same time, the way only a rock star can be. And this is the album of a truly brilliant rock star.” – Rolling Stone

“With Guts, Rodrigo has released the most complete pop album of the year.”–  Billboard

About Olivia Rodrigo

After shattering records with her chart-topping, 4x Platinum debut album SOUR – the fastest album in history to have all of its songs certified RIAA Platinum or higher – Olivia Rodrigo makes a monumental return with her new album GUTS , revealing newly heightened sophistication as a vocalist and lyricist. Produced by and co-written with Daniel Nigro (her main creative partner on SOUR ), each song intensifies the emotional honesty that’s always imbued her storytelling. Rodrigo expands her expressive palette, uncovering entirely new dimensions of her artistry, as exemplified by lead single “vampire.”

Hailed by Pitchfork as the “Best New Track” upon release, “vampire”debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, set the Spotify record for the biggest debut for a solo song in 2023, and ultimately shot to No. 1 at Top 40 Radio. Most recently, “vampire” reached the No. 1 spot on the UK Official Singles Chart — a turn of events that made Rodrigo the female artist with the most No. 1 singles in the UK this decade. “vampire” amassed over 100 million combined streams in its first week and charted at No. 1 in Australia, New Zealand, and Ireland. The 20-year-old is the youngest artist in Hot 100 history to debut three hits at No. 1.

Named the #1 Album of 2021 by Rolling Stone and hailed as one of the Best Albums of 2021 by The New York Times , among others, SOUR is now 4x Platinum in the U.S. and has sold over 17.9 million global album adjusted units with over 42 billion streams worldwide. Each of the album’s 11 tracks landed in the top 30 of Billboard’s Hot 100, making Rodrigo the first female artist to simultaneously chart 11 or more songs in the top 30.

She received seven GRAMMY® Award nominations—including nods in each of the Big Four categories—and took home awards for Best New Artist, Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Pop Solo Performance at the 64th GRAMMY® Awards. Rodrigo was named New Artist of the Year at the American Music Awards, Woman of the Year at Billboard’s 2022 Women in Music Awards and Songwriter of the Year at both the ASCAP Pop Music Awards and Variety Hitmakers.

Olivia Rodrigo

Definitely not a bad idea, right? Olivia Rodrigo announced the Guts World Tour on Wednesday (Sept. 13) in support of her sophomore album — and she’s hitting arenas for the first time.

Olivia Rodrigo Appears to Tease Guts World Tour in Lyric Video: Fans React

“Soooo excited to announce the GUTS world tour!!!!” the pop star captioned an Instagram post with the tour dates, which are set for 2024.

Trending on Billboard

If you don’t see your city on the list of tour dates yet, don’t despair. “Stay tuned for more dates coming soon!!!” Rodrigo teased in the caption of her announcement.

Fans are encouraged to register for tickets now through Sept. 17, 10 p.m. ET, on Ticketmaster.com in order to help ensure that tickets aren’t going to scalpers. After registration closes, fans will be randomly selected to receive codes that will give them access to tickets, which will allow them to purchase tickets Sept. 20-21. American Express card holders can also register for early access on Ticketmaster’s website. Amex’s early access begins Sept. 20 at 3 p.m. local time.

Rodrigo is also aiming to make her concert tickets affordable for fans. According to the press release, there will be a limited number of tickets available at a later date that will sell for $20 (plus taxes and fees) as part of the new Silver Star program. These tickets are required to be purchased in pairs, with a limit of two tickets per purchase. Though the seats will be next to each other, fans won’t know where they’re sitting until the pick up the tickets on the day of the concerts. Seats may be located on the floor, lower and upper levels, or limited view sections.

The 20-year-old singer-songwriter first teased the Guts World Tour in the lyric video for “Making the Bed,” which dropped Sept. 8, the same day as second album Guts . In the visual, next to the lyrics written on a sheet of notebook paper was what appeared to be a general admission concert ticket with the label “Guts World Tour.” The tour tease even noted the kickoff city — “Palm Springs, CA, USA.”

Olivia Rodrigo Is the Actual Rock Star We’ve Needed in a Galvanizing ‘Guts Tour’ Opening: Concert Review

Olivia Rodrigo performs onstage for the kick off of GUTS World Tour at Acrisure Arena on February 23, 2024 in Palm Springs, California.

“I don’t know if you guys know this, but I just turned 21,” Olivia Rodrigo told her audience during the opening show of her 2024 tour Friday night. (They knew.) “I’m really fucking excited about it — big birthday. I went to the gas station the other day and I bought a pack of cigarettes and a case of beer. I promise I didn’t consume it, but I bought it just ‘cause I fucking could.” There was no mention of whether the attendant making the sale did any kind of double-take after carding her and getting a gander of the most famous driver’s license in the history of pop culture.

Popular on Variety

It should be mentioned that it still feels like a Rock Show even though Rodrigo has added a few of the tropes of a Pop Show since her barer-bones introductory tour of 2022. Her five musicians and two backing singers are now joined by eight dancers, a femme-presenting, inclusive ensemble that adds good dollops of taste spice to the show without ever making it feel overwhelmed by choreography. There’s a Busby Berkeley moment when the leggy octet surrounds a reclining Rodrigo, shot from an overhead camera for the big screen in the rear. They gaze into and play with personal mirrors shaped like giant lollipops during “Pretty Isn’t Pretty,” the most message-heavy number of the night. But overall, their dance routines aren’t overly high-concept or exhaustingly athletic. They’re fast-moving grace notes, and they ghost the stage at regular enough intervals that it always feels like a pleasure when they pop back in to add a bit of visual poetry or just break completely out of formation to bring the party.

It’s not a show remotely driven by costume changes or big production elements, either — allthough there is a modest enough amount of both to stave off any possibility of things getting visually stale. The one big production number, as it were, occurs when Rodrigo hops on to a floating quarter-moon for “Logical” and “Enough for You,” taking flight to circle around the circumference of the arena’s floor area. Stars descend from the rafters while she’s doing her moonflight, but however much that bit of business might have cost, it feels kind of like something you’d see at an especially well-produced prom — a lovely example of analog charm.

Rodrigo is at that young stage in her career where she can perform almost every song she’s released and still have the show clock in at an economical, just-right 95 minutes. Unlike her 2022 tour, there are no covers, at all. (At the Acrisure Arena, she wore an “I’m just a girl” T-shirt for the encore, raising memories of when the No Doubt song of that name figured into the prior tour.) While the set probably could have used a surprise pick just for the sake of online chatter, it’s hard to fault her for being satisfied with her own material, when she’s delivered one of the best one-two album punches this century. All 12 songs from the standard edition of “Guts” got aired out, plus a snarly bonus track, “Obsessed,” for the lucky 13 th . Nine out of 11 songs from “Sour” got played, too, making for a show that somehow felt both generous and compact.

Rodrigo is not one to spend much time talking about the origins of the songs on stage, beyond saying “This song means a lot to me” before “Teenage Dream,” and augmenting it with some video footage of herself as a pre-teen show-biz aspirant. Least of all was she about to give a tour audience any tease of what lay behind some of the songs that are ongoing subjects of online speculation; “Lacy” remained as gorgeously cryptic as ever. It did seem interesting that, in the setlist, she immediately followed “Déjà vu” with a stark, super-dramatic reading of “The Grudge,” which may or may not have something to do with the behind-the-scenes circumstances of the preceding hit. Was the juxtaposition sending a message of some sort, or just coincidental? She’ll never tell, probably.

But it’s not that Rodrigo was uninterested in engaging her hyper-enthusiastic audience — which nearly counted as a hometown crowd, as she noted she grew up in not-so-distant Temecula. At one point, she took a survey of the audience. Was there anyone at the Acrisure Arena on a first date? (The overhead screen briefly turned into a Kiss-Cam.) And: “By a show of screams, is anybody here with their dad? That’s sweet. My dad’s here, and he was walking around and he said he saw a dad with a ‘Dad Idea, Right?’ shirt on. So if that’s you, that’s pretty cool.”

She also asked if anybody was attending their first concert, and another loud roar went up. Some of these people may have been lying, or misunderstood; the crowd skewed young, but not so young that it averaged out at “Baby’s First Arena Show.” But, yes, surely, it was true for at least a small portion of the crowd…

And to those youngsters, we would say: You’ve just officially been spoiled. Not many of your future gigs are going to involve world-class talents, caught in the preternatural bloom of youth, who happen to be equally, proficiently gifted in the areas of singing, songcraft, self-revelation and the fine art of rocking out. It’s gonna be all downhill from here, kids.
