Les Claypool, Larry LaLonde, and Tim Alexander has been the band’s backbone for many years, although the band had a difficult time getting off to a good start when it came to finding the right drummer in its early years. Primus was initially created in 1984 in El Sobrante, California; however, the band originally performed under the moniker Primate. Primus is now known as Primus. Frizzle Fry was the name of the band’s debut studio album, which was successful enough to attract the attention of big record labels in 1990.

The band’s subsequent album, Sailing the Seas of Cheese, was responsible for the band’s meteoric rise in fame and exposing the band’s music to an even larger audience. [UPDATE 10/5/23]: Primus , A Perfect Circle , and Puscifer have expanded their collaborative Sessanta tour celebrating Maynard James Keenan ’s 60th birthday.

After previously announcing a run of seven shows in the Western U.S., the majority of which have already sold out, the bands added dates around the East Coast and South, though the newly announced shows come before the West Coast run.

“Although I am slowly going deaf with all the rock song touring, and the aging and what not, the thunderous cacophony of whining and crying from the places we aren’t playing Sessanta was heard loud and clear,” the Tool singer said. “But instead of being a grumpy old fart and calling you all a Waahhhmnulance, we decided to book a few more shows.”

Among the new dates are stops in Raleigh, NC (4/7); Alpharetta, GA (4/9); Franklyn, TN (4/10);, Irving, TX (4/12); and The Woodlands, TX (4/13). Additional dates will be announced soon.

9/16/23: Tool singer Maynard James Keenan is turning 60 and to celebrate, he’s taking his other two bands, A Perfect Circle and Puscifer , on the road along with Primus for the Sessanta tour, a special joint outing that will see the groups rotate lineups on the fly and collaborate on stage each night. The tour will mark A Perfect Cirlce’s first shows in five years.

“Bands aren’t used to simultaneously sharing the stage with other bands, but if anyone can do it, it’s Primus, A Perfect Circle, and Puscifer,” Keenan said of the tour’s unusual format, which according to press materials, features a distinct set from each group with “musicians from the trio of bands joining each other’s performances throughout the concert.”

The run consists of seven shows, kicking off in Phoenix, AZ on Keenan’s birthday on April 17th, followed by stops in San Diego (4/18), Los Angeles (4/20), Berkeley (4/21), and West Valley City, UT, and culminating with two nights at Red Rocks Amphitheare on April 25th and 26th.

Primus, Puscifer and A Perfect Circle Add Dates to Joint Tour

Primus, Puscifer and A Perfect Circle have expanded their joint Sessanta Tour. The grouping of bands has added eight new stops to their impending run, which will pick up with a pair of appearances slated for Boston’s Boch Center Wang Theatre on April 2 and 3. 

After the newly added tour openers, the musical groups will move to the Premier Theatre at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Conn., for their follow-up on April 5. The next night, they’ll take part in a stand at Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena in Atlantic City, N.J. From there, the band will pick up a slew of already-announced gigs, including two sold-out nights at Red Rocks Amphitheatre on April 25 and 26. 

Following their time in Morrison, Colo., the band will pick up another string of freshly tacked-on appearances, including an April 30 show at Azura Amphitheatre in Bonner Springs, Kan. They’ll stop at Chicago’s Wintrust Arena next, followed by a Pine Knob Music Theatre performance on May 2. 

Primus, Puscifer and A Perfect Circle’s final added stop will occur on May 4 at  Forest Hills Stadium in Forest Hills, N.Y. Tickets for all newly announced dates go on sale this Friday, November 3, at 10 a.m. local time, with local pre-sales available on Thursday from 10 a.m. through 10 p.m. local time. Primus, Puscifer, and A Perfect Circle Announce Final “Sessanta” Tour Dates

In 2014, three legendary bands came together for a one-night celebration of Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan’s 50th birthday. That event, called “Cinquanta,” has expanded into a fully fledged tour for 2024, which will mark the singer’s 60th birthday.

Primus, Puscifer, and A Perfect Circle have announced the expansion of the tour, stating it will be the final dates for the outing. Beginning April 2nd and 3rd with two nights in Boston, the tour will hit spots across the East Coast, South, and West Coast before tacking on a few dates in the Midwest. The final date is slated for May 4th in Forest Hills, New York.

Each of the three bands will be performing a set of their own music. However, all of the band members – including bassists Les Claypool , Greg Edwards , and Matt McJunkins – will be joining each other’s performances throughout the night for a continually transforming night of music.

“What a glorious notion of combining three bands that all start with the letter ‘P’ for a tribute to Maynard Keenan’s 60th trip around the sun,” Claypool marvels. “I’ve known Maynard for more than three decades and I have to say, I’ve yet to meet a more creative, ambitious and industrious human being; that is assuming he is actually human. Often his perspective and output are more ‘extraterrestrial’ than that of this planet so, It wouldn’t surprise me if he has some sort ‘Prometheus’ type DNA deep in his marrow.”

A PERFECT CIRCLE, PRIMUS, PUSCIFER expand 2024 Sessanta tour

Maynard James Keenan 's 60th birthday tour just got even more badass. Last month, the TOOL frontman announced that his two other bands, A Perfect Circle and Puscifer , would be joining forces with funk-metal greats Primus  for an untraditional tour that will see all three bands share the stage at the same time. 

Dubbed Sessanta , the 2024 trek is a callback to Keenan's 50th birthday celebration, Cinquanta, which was supposed to be a one-off collaboration between APC, Puscifer and Primus in Los Angeles. 

Initially, Sessanta was limited to just seven West Coast shows next April, but now Keenan and Co. have tacked on five more gigs that expand the journey out to the Southeast.

Now, before the West Coast leg kicks off April 17th, the trio of bands will be playing in Raleigh, North Carolina, on April 7th, and then following that with shows in Georgia, Tennessee and Texas before trekking out to Arizona. 

"Although I am slowly going deaf with all the rock song touring, and the aging and what not, the thunderous cacophony of whining and crying from the places we aren't playing Sessanta was heard loud and clear," Keenan shared in a hilarious statement.

"But instead of being a grumpy old fart and calling you all a Waahhhmnulance, we decided to book a few more shows. Thank you @poopoopeepee69, @blunthole420 and many others for changing our minds. U.S. only, though. I gotta be in bed by 7:30."

Russia Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945

In May 9th Russia celebrate the day of victory of Soviet troops over Nazi Germany. On this day, parades, commemorative events, and festive fireworks are held solemnly throughout the country. The main military parade of the country takes place in Moscow on Red Square. Throughout the city, at special concert venues, art groups perform, songs of the war years are heard everywhere. People dance, relax. Many older people cry, remembering the horror of years gone by.

Night of museums

Museum Night is an annual project that will take place in Moscow 15 times. Most of the city’s cultural institutions traditionally take part in it. Most of the city’s museums and exhibitions are free to visit. In parks, country estates, thematic performances and entertainment cultural events are held. Build a huge stuffed animal from straw and burn it, ride on crusts, take part in a masquerade parade. At numerous venues it will be possible to see street performances and performances by the best vocal ensembles and folk artists.
