Watch out world.”   And Adam Lambert says: “I can’t wait to tour North America one more time with the Rhapsody tour alongside the two unbelievably talented legends that are Brian May and Roger Taylor.”   Queen + Adam Lambert’s 150-minute career-spanning set list celebrates the band’s extraordinary back catalogue, lining up wall-to-wall immortal anthems like “We Will Rock You”, “Don’t Stop Me Now”, “Radio Ga Ga”, and “Somebody To Love” alongside classic deep cuts and vintage fan favourites. Featuring a dazzling state-of-the-art stage design, incredible special effects and set pieces, this sense-swamping extravaganza has been blowing critics and fans away the world over.   As with last year's UK and European dates, the 2023 North American tour will see Queen + Adam Lambert supported on stage by their regular band members, long-serving Queen keyboard player and musical director Spike Edney, bass guitarist Neil Fairclough and percussionist Tyler Warren.   Having extensively toured over the last few years, the Rhapsody show is forever evolving. But it remains at heart a tribute to Freddie Mercury’s majestic legacy, a confirmation of Brian and Roger’s undimmed musical prowess, plus a magnificent showcase for Adam’s vocal skills and electrifying stage charisma, all of which adds up to a glorious full-blooded celebration of one of the greatest songbooks in rock history. MORE ON TICKETS : Queen + Adam Lambert appreciates that it is an enormous task to try and stop scalpers from taking advantage of fans wanting to purchase tickets for the tour. In an effort to help minimize resale and keep ticket prices at face value for fans, the band are collaborating with the venues’ ticketing partners to restrict the ability to transfer tickets for The Rhapsody Tour so that they may only be transferred between fans at the original price.   Fans will still have protection against unforeseen circumstances. Those who purchase tickets and are no longer able to attend their show will be able to sell their tickets at the price they paid using a face value ticket exchange, including the Ticketmaster Face Value Exchange - which is free to use for buyers and sellers. More information on how the Ticketmaster Exchange works is available here .   Unfortunately, the states of NY, IL, and CO have laws in place that protect ticket scalpers - these laws prohibit artists from being able to restrict the transfer of their tickets to face-value exchanges only. Queen + Adam Lambert have announced ‘The Crown Jewels’: a limited 10-date run of shows at the Park Theater at Park MGM in Las Vegas for September.

Queen + Adam Lambert are set to rock the Las Vegas Strip this fall with a 10-date limited engagement, The Crown Jewels, at Park Theater at Park MGM in Las Vegas. Shows will be held September 1, 2, 5, 7, 8, 14, 15, 19, 21 and 22, with all shows starting at 8pm. One of their performance dates, Saturday, 8 September, lands on Queen Day in Las Vegas, which former Mayor Oscar Goodman declared in 2004.

Tickets for The Crown Jewels shows range in price from $79 to $350, as well as a limited number of on-Stage seats, not including applicable service charges, will go on sale Friday, May 11 at 10 a.m at the Ticketmaster website .  A limited number of VIP packages will also be available.

Members of both Queen and Adam Lambert’s Fan Clubs will be able to purchase tickets before the general public beginning Tuesday, 8 May at 10 am PT. M life Rewards members and Live Nation and Ticketmaster customers will receive access to a pre-sale running on Wednesday, May 9 at 10 am PT through Thursday, 10 May at 10 pm. PT. ‘Slang’: How Def Leppard Mastered A New Rock Language In The 90s

Queen + Adam Lambert have come a long way since first sharing a stage for the American Idol finale in May 2009. Since then, the critically acclaimed creative partnership has proved to be a global phenomenon, having played over 150 shows in all corners of the world. Filling stadiums and festivals, Queen + Adam Lambert’s awe-inspiring show has drawn across-the board rave notices.

Now, announcing this specially crafted The Crown Jewels show, Queen’s Brian May said: “We’re ready to take on the ultimate challenge … to dazzle Vegas!!”

Band mate Roger Taylor was equally as enthusiastic, saying he is: “Looking forward to rocking the Strip,” singing the praises of “the audaciously and phenomenally talented Adam Lambert.”

Lambert added: “I’m so excited to help share The Crown Jewels with the Strip. You’ll be humming them all night!”

Just as the original Queen scaled unprecedented heights and shattered audience records, so have Queen + Adam Lambert. Their first full live show, played in Europe in 2012, saw the band make a spectacular debut in front of half a million people in Kiev. More recent shows in Brazil, Portugal and Japan have regularly drawn audiences of up to 80,000 for a single concert.

But Queen + Adam Lambert are not a band to rest on their laurels. In the summer of 2017, they toured North America with a brand new state-of-the-art production specifically tailored to celebrate the 40th anniversary of News Of The World , which was originally released in October 1977 and remains Queen’s biggest-selling studio album to date. The tour extended across Europe and the UK through to the end of 2017, followed by Australia and New Zealand in early 2018.

It was North American audiences that first truly embraced Queen + Adam Lambert, paving the way to worldwide arena-filling success. Playing their first ever full tour with 24 shows across the U.S. and Canada in the summer of 2014, this generation-spanning super group not only sold out every date, but were later crowned Band of the Year at the 10th annual Classic Rock, Roll of Honor awards and Best Live Band of the Year in Ultimate Classic Rock’s reader’s poll. From that point on, there was no stopping the revitalized Queen machine and their incandescent new front man.

Queen + Adam Lambert’s magnificent 2018 live show has been custom tailored for the band by some of the world’s most cutting-edge creative talents. Responsible for design and production is Ric Lipson from Entertainment Architects Stufish Productions, renowned worldwide for their innovative work with artists such as Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, and U2, as well the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Making use of over 300 moving lights during the show is the highly acclaimed lighting designer Rob Sinclair, who has illuminated tours for major artists including Adele, Peter Gabriel and Kylie Minogue. The production’s genuinely eye-popping laser elements are the work of ER Productions, behind both the opening and closing ceremonies of the London 2012 Olympics and seen by over 900 million people worldwide.

NCT Doyoung Concert Tour 2024: Dates and Cities Revealed

SM Entertainment artist Doyoung has announced the dates and cities of his first-ever solo tour , “Dear Youth.” Previously, the NCT star debuted solo with the studio album Youth on April 22.

Doyoung made his K-pop debut in 2015 with SM Entertainment’s NCT U. Since his musical debut, Doyoung joined the million-seller group NCT 127 in 2017. Later, the 28-year-old also participated in the NCT DoJaeJung sub-unit with Jaehyun and Jungwoon in 2023 and released the EP Perfume in April 2023.

NCT Doyoung announces first ever concert tour dates and locations

“Beautiful Day” crooner NCT Doyoung has announced the first set of dates and locations for his upcoming Dear Youth fan concert tours. The K-pop star will hold the first set of concerts in Seoul on May 25. Later, he will travel to Japan, China, Thailand, and other Asian countries for the tour.

Dates and cities of Doyoung’s 2024 concert tour include:

Meanwhile, Doyoung’s first official solo album, Youth, has brought significant success, showing the NCT star’s potential. The 2024 studio album contained ten tracks, including celebrity features like SNSD Taeyeon and NCT Mark.

The album sold over 259,500 copies within days of its release in South Korea, peaking at number 3 on the Circle Album Chart and number 17 on Japan’s Billboard Hot Albums chart . It also made a mark on Japan’s Oricon chart, standing at number 18 during its debut week.

Apart from its impressive sales numbers, Doyoung’s album Youth also had remarkable digital success. The album’s title track, “Little Light,” debuted at No. 1 on South Korea’s Bugs’ real-time chart. It peaked at number 2 on Melon’s Hot 100 and at number 21 on the Top 100. The studio album reached #1 on the iTunes Top Albums charts in at least 13 regions.

Now, to the news:

Pops rock:  The Boston Pops open their spring season tonight — and there’s a growing shift to appeal to people beyond just classical music fans. Pops conductor Keith Lockhart gave a preview of the lineup this week on  Radio Boston . “It’s a lot more about inclusivity and just making people realize that this is a great public institution that was founded to serve everyone,” Lockhart said, though he joked, “I do look at it and go, ‘How am I going to do all that in the next five weeks?’ ” Here’s a look at some of the new and notable performances:

• Harry Connick Jr.  ( May 10-11):  For the first time since 2001, the famous singer and pianist returns to Symphony Hall tonight and tomorrow to perform with the Pops.
• Encanto  (May 11 and May 18):  Symphony Hall will screen the animated Disney hit movie in two Saturday matinees, with the Pops orchestra live-performing  the catchy score .
• Queen  (May 15-16):  Mark Martell — who provided the vocals for the film “Bohemian Rhapsody” — collaborates with the Pops for two Queen tribute concerts next week. “You close your eyes, and it could very well be Freddie Mercury,” said Lockhart (who said Queen’s “Night at the Opera” was his first rock album).
• Jazz night  (May 22-23):  Kicking off during the pandemic, the Pops’ “Roots of Jazz” series continues with saxophonist Branford Marsalis (yes, that’s the brother of  Wynton Marsalis ), with a cameo by  viral piano phenom  Jesús Molina.
• Jurassic Park  (May 24-25):  Steven Spielberg’s blockbuster will be projected on screen, with the orchestra performing former Pops conductor John Williams’ iconic score live. The three-show Memorial Day Weekend run includes a Saturday matinee.
• Pride night  (June 1):  The Pops’ first Pride Night will feature drag star Thorgy Thor, a former contestant on “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” who is also a trained violinist. “She will be playing with us on stage, playing solo works with our concert master and all sorts of fun things like that,” Lockhart said.
• Up next: The Pops’ summer Tanglewood concert schedule  also branches out. There will be popular Broadway songs, more John Williams tributes and collabs with indie rockers like Trey Anastasio, Beck and Dispatch.

While you were sleeping:  MIT’s pro-Palestinian encampment has been torn down. Police officers moved in shortly after 4 a.m. this morning to clear the tents and arrest protesters. Organizers said only about 10 people were inside the camp at the time.  Click here for more updates  on the development.

• The early morning sweep comes after those at the encampment clashed with police yesterday during a rally on MIT’s campus . MIT said “fewer than 10” people were arrested for blocking traffic. The university has also begun suspending encampment demonstrators.

The fallout in Amherst : Award-winning author Colson Whitehead has withdrawn as UMass Amherst’s commencement speaker, citing the university’s  decision to call the police to break up a peaceful, pro-Palestinian encampment on campus . Whitehead called the response, which led to more than 130 arrests, “ a shameful act .”

• He’s not the only critic. UMass’s student government issued a vote of “no confidence” in Chancellor Javier Reyes. Rep. Jim McGovern, who represents Amherst, also called the response concerning. New England Public Media has more here .

Look up:  New Englanders may actually be able to see the Northern Lights tonight. Due to unusually strong solar flares from a  rare cluster  of sunspots, the  visible range of the aurora  is forecasted to cover much of the United States. The Boston Globe  reports  those as far south as the Cape may be able to see the spectacle overnight Friday. (Whether or not the clouds clear enough will be the big issue.)

• Pro-tip: If you still have your eclipse glasses, you may also be able to see the giant sunspot  during the day.
