Smith was on hand last month at the White House when President Joe Biden signed the historic Respect for Marriage Act , protecting same-sex and interracial marriages across the country. At the ceremony,  Cyndi Lauper  sang her iconic hit, “True Colors,” while Smith took the stage to perform their breakthrough 2014 ballad, “Stay With Me.”

Set for release on January 27 via Capitol Records, Sam’s fourth studio album, Gloria , includes the GRAMMY®-nominated single “Unholy” ft. Kim Petras, which spent three weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and four weeks atop the UK Official Singles Chart. The song also took the #1 position on the Mediabase Top 40 Airplay chart, spent 29 consecutive days at #1 on the Global Spotify chart and topped the Apple and Shazam worldwide tallies. “Unholy” was the only pop collaboration of 2022 to be certified RIAA Platinum and the third collaboration across all genres to reach this milestone and the track has amassed over one billion combined global streams.

Watch out: the year of Gloria is just beginning.

Starting in late July, four-time Grammy winner Sam Smith will take off on the U.S. leg of their international “Gloria The Tour” in support of their new album “Gloria,” set for release on Jan. 27.

On the run, Smith has huge shows at Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Arena (Aug. 2), and New York City’s Madison Square Garden (Aug. 8) penciled into their tour itinerary.

They can’t wait to return stateside for their first official U.S. tour since 2018, either.

“This is going to be so special; it’s been too long, sailors,” they shared on Instagram . “Can’t wait to see all your gorgeous faces and celebrate the era of GLORIA together.”

And if you can’t wait to hear Smith’s new music as well as classic tracks like “Stay With Me” and “Latch,” tickets can be secured as early as today.

Although inventory isn’t available on Ticketmaster until Friday, Jan. 13, fans who want to ensure they have tickets ahead of time can purchase on sites like Vivid Seats before the on-sale officially begins.

Sam Smith 2023 tour schedule

After performing all over the world, including a pair of shows at London’s O2 Arena on April 18 and April 19 , Smith will finally make their way to North America on July 25 when he plays Miami’s FTX Arena .

Once here, they’ll hit notable locales like Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena (July 29), Boston’s TD Garden (Aug. 5), Chicago’s United Center (Aug. 15), Portland’s Veterans Memorial Coliseum (Aug. 25) and Phoenix’s Footprint Center (Sept. 3).

Smith’s sprawling run wraps up at Houston’s Toyota Center on Sept. 8.

Sam Smith new music

As noted earlier, Smith is releasing their latest album, “Gloria,” on Jan. 27, 2023.

Although not much is known about “Gloria,” it’s lead single, “Unholy,” featuring Kim Petras, proved to be a smash in 2022.

The song spent three weeks atop the Billboard Top 100 chart and was deemed the “ultimate party anthem” by Esquire ,

The record will be Smith’s first since 2020’s “Love Goes,” which featured collaborations with Burna Boy, Demi Lovato and Calvin Harris.

Joining Smith on all but one of their tour dates is 31-year-old budding pop superstar Jessie Reyez.

For those not familiar with Reyez’s music, she’s set to appear on Smith’s forthcoming album but has also made a splash of her own with mega singles “Promises,” “Figures,” and “Imported.”

Her 2022 record “Yessie” covers heavy topics too — “heartbreak, confidence and knowing your worth” are all significant themes touched upon in the music, according to Complex .

The following approved process will be implemented at the United Center for the General Admission (GA) pit:

• WRISTBAND DISTRIBUTION TIMES: At 9 a.m. on show day, guests will receive a numbered wristband. This represents the order they will be lined up in to access the GA area. Numbered wristbands will be distributed until 4:30 pm.
• LOCATION: Fans will only receive wristbands from a credentialed United Center security employee at Gate 5.
• LEAVING PRIVILEGES: Once the wristband is received, guests are free to leave and return to Gate 5 no later than 4:30 p.m.
• RETURNING TIME: All guests with a wristband must return to the United Center and be lined up in order by 4:30 p.m. to have wristband number honored.
• LATE ARRIVAL: If a guest with a numbered wristband arrives after 4:30 p.m., the guest will be placed in line after the last guest in line. Guests without wristbands arriving after 4:30 pm will also be placed in line after the last guest in line.
• ONE PROCESS: This is the only process approved for GA entry. No additional arrangements can be honored at this time.

**Please note- you must have your ticket to obtain a wristband and only one wristband per person.

Take I-90 East to the Madison Street exit and make a right onto Madison Street. The building will be on your left.

Take I-55 North to the Damen exit and make a left, going northbound for approximately 7 minutes. The building will be on your right.

Take Madison Street west from the Loop.

Take I-290 East to exit 28A (Damen Avenue). Take Damen Avenue north to Madison Street. Make a right onto Madison Street and the building will be on your right.

Public Transportation

Take the Orange, Green, Purple, or Brown lines to Madison. Take #20 Madison buses west.

To the United Center : The #19 United Center Express Bus runs on game days. Service begins 90 minutes prior to game time, runs every 10 minutes until 30 minutes until start of game. Board at stops starting southbound on Michigan and Randolph. Connections are made with Metra trains at Millennium Station, Ogilvie Center and Union Station. The #20 Madison Bus travels west on Madison Street, starting downtown at Wabash Street and runs every few minutes, making all stops to the United Center.

From the United Center : The #19 United Center Express and the #20 Madison buses run every few minutes, departing from the eastbound side of Madison Street. Buses make all stops.

PLEASE NOTE: Parking lots and Uber lot open to public two and a half hours prior to event time.

All major credit cards accepted. The United Center offers free parking for select family shows in all official United Center parking lots. All Parking Policies outlined below remain in effect.

Suites Parking

Two reserved parking passes will be valid in lots C and K. The other two reserved parking passes will be for parking in lots A, B, D, or L. Holders of these passes will be directed to A, B, D, or L lots by traffic police and parking attendants based on traffic conditions. Parking passes are good for one space each. All parking passes are mobile entry only.

For all special events, each Executive Suite Holder will receive two complimentary parking passes per event ordered. These two passes will be for reserved parking located in lots C and K. In addition, Executive Suite Holders will also receive the option to purchase four additional parking passes in lots C and K for special events.

Suite Holder parking passes are also valid for buses or limousines under specific guidelines.

Lexus Club Parking

Lexus Club Seat members have reserved parking in fenced, well-lit and clearly marked parking lots adjacent to the United Center for all Blackhawks or Bulls preseason, regular season and playoff games. All Lexus Club members who purchase tickets to other events may also purchase one preferred parking pass (in lot C or K) for such events. Details on how to obtain parking for other events are included with the fax transmission announcing each event.

Lexus Club Seat members with two to four tickets receive a complimentary, reserved parking space in a closed-in, paved lot for all Blackhawks or Bulls preseason, regular season and playoff games. Lexus Club Seat members with five seats or more will be provided with two parking passes.

Rideshare/UberZone

UBER ZONE FAQs:

What is the Uber Zone (Lot E) at the United Center? To increase and streamline the fan experience for guests who take Uber to and from the United Center, the new Uber Zone is located at the corner of Madison Street and Wood Street (Lot E) and will combine the three former Uber locations around the arena. Traffic leading to the three prior Uber pickup locations 1) Zone A, previously located on Wood Street & Washington Blvd. near Lot A, 2) Zone D, previously located on Monroe Street & S. Paulina Street near Lot D and 3) Zone F, previously located on Monroe Street & Seeley Ave. near Lot F will now be directed towards the one new Uber Zone in Lot E.

What is the location of the Uber Zone? The new Uber Zone at the United Center is located on the corner of Madison Street and Wood Street. Fans will enter and exit through the sidewalk entrance located on Madison Street and cars will enter the lot by turning into the Uber Zone from Madison Street. Cars will exit on Warren Blvd.

What are the hours of operation? On event days, the Uber Zone is open two hours prior to games, concerts and events and will remain open up to one hour after each event. On non-event days, the Uber Zone will be closed and Uber rides will be dropped off near the corner of Madison Street and Wood Street outside of the Uber Zone.

What is the pickup process for fans?

• Using the Uber app, fans inside the United Center will call an Uber ride.
• Guests will then head to the new Uber Zone located at the corner of Madison Street and Wood Street in front of the United Center.
• When arriving, fans will show the Uber attendant the lane number their driver is in.
• Fans will be shown the location where their Uber vehicle is located to start their next journey.

What is the dropoff process for fans? When Uber drivers arrive with guests at the United Center, they will be instructed to pull into the Uber Zone from the Madison Street side to drop off fans. Once exiting the vehicle, guests will walk out of the main entrance located on the corner of Madison Street and Wood Street. Guests can cross the street to the United Center and are encouraged to enter through the East Atrium.

Sam Smith is embarking on another North American tour in 2023 — their first since 2018.

“Gloria the Tour” will span 27 dates, beginning on July 25 in Miami, Florida and ending on Sep. 14 in Mexico City.

While on tour, Smith will make a stop at Madison Square Garden on August 8 .

Sam Smith has announced the North American leg of his 2023 “Gloria the Tour,” where they’ll be supported by Jessie Reyez .

Picking up a month after wrapping their tour of the UK and Europe, Sam Smith will come stateside July 25th in Miami, Florida. The 27-date trek will include big cities such as Washington DC, New York, Toronto, Phoenix, and Los Angeles, before finishing up September 14th in Mexico City.

General on-sale begins Friday, January 13th at 9:00 a.m local time via Ticketmaster , though a variety of pre-sale options will be available beforehand. American Express cardholders can get tickets January 9th through January 12th, a fan pre-sale kicks off January 11th for 24 hours, and over at Ticketmaster, pre-sale begins Monday, January 9th (use code SOUND ). Sam Smith Anounces 27-Date Summer Tour Of North America

Following the success of last year's smash hit son "Unholy," Sam Smith is heading out on tour this summer. The Gloria tour is named after the pop singer's upcoming fourth studio album set to release later this month and features opening act Jessie Reyez at every stop of the tour.

The two have famously worked together in the past, both featuring on Calvin Harris ' 2018 hit song 'Promises.' For Smith, the North American dates follow a series of European shows lasting from April to June. In Reyez's case, she's going on a shorter European tour in the second half of January before departing with Smith later this year.

Sam Smith ended 2022 on a high note with the success of their song "Unholy" alongside fellow trans pop artist Kim Petras . The song serves as the lead single for the forthcoming Gloria album, Smith's first since 2020's Love More . The Gloria tour is also among the biggest new tour announcements since Ticketmaster's controversial mishandling of ticket sales for Taylor Swift 's Eras tour late last year.

Fans who RSVP ahead of time can get access to the pre-sale tickets on Wednesday, January 11th via a password before the general public is granted access on Friday the 13th.

Sam Smith has announced the North American leg of his 2023 “Gloria the Tour,” where they’ll be supported by Jessie Reyez .

Picking up a month after wrapping their tour of the UK and Europe, Sam Smith will come stateside July 25th in Miami, Florida. The 27-date trek will include big cities such as Washington DC, New York, Toronto, Phoenix, and Los Angeles, before finishing up September 14th in Mexico City.

General on-sale begins Friday, January 13th at 9:00 a.m local time via Ticketmaster , though a variety of pre-sale options will be available beforehand. American Express cardholders can get tickets January 9th through January 12th, a fan pre-sale kicks off January 11th for 24 hours, and over at Ticketmaster, pre-sale begins Monday, January 9th (use code SOUND ). Smith’s fourth studio album,  Gloria,  will be released January 27th. It includes the smash hit “Unholy” with Kim Petras, which hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, and which made Smith and Petras the first publicly nonbinary and transgender artists to top the chart. Last month, Smith performed “Stay with Me” at the White House as President Biden signed the Respect for Marriage Act.

Trek hitting North American arenas this summer

Sam Smith has announced Gloria The Tour, the pop star’s first North American run since 2018. The 27-city headline outing will kick off on July 25th at FTX Arena in Miami, FL and include shows at New York City’s Madison Square Garden on August 8th and the Kia Forum in Inglewood, CA on August 31st. Jessie Reyez, who guests on Sam’s forthcoming album, Gloria , will be the special guest on all dates except August 4th.

American Express Card Members can purchase tickets before the general public beginning Monday, January 9th at 9 am local time through Thursday, January 12th at 10 pm local time. An exclusive 24-hour ticket pre-sale for fans will begin on Wednesday, January 11th at 9 am local time. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, January 13th at 9 am local time via Ticketmaster .

Set for release on January 27th via Capitol Records, Smith’s fourth studio album, Gloria , includes the Grammy-nominated single “Unholy” featuring Kim Petras , which spent three weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and four weeks atop the UK Official Singles Chart. The song also took the No. 1 position on the Mediabase Top 40 Airplay chart, spent 29 consecutive days at No. 1 on the Global Spotify chart and topped the Apple and Shazam worldwide tallies. “Unholy” was the only pop collaboration of 2022 to be certified RIAA Platinum and the third collaboration across all genres to reach this milestone and the track has amassed over one billion combined global streams.

Eager fans can now but tickets to Sam Smiths 2023 Manchester show as part of their upcoming 'GLORIA' tour. A host of pre-sale options have launched on Ticketmaster for the singer's show at the AO Arena on May 24 next year.

The pre-sale starts at 10am today (October 25) for fans with Three network, who can buy tickets until 9am on Thursday, October, 27. Fans who bought Sam's new album 'GLORIA' on the official store before 4pm yesterday are also able to access the pre-sale today, with a unique access code.

General sale starts at 10am on Thursday, October 27 on Ticketmaster and SeeTickets. Because of the two presale options and as it's Sam's first UK tour since 'The Thrill Of It All' back in 2018, the demand to get tickets is expected to be high today.

The sale starts at 10am but fans can get ahead by joining the waiting room on Ticketmaster, which is a holding queue that automatically places fans into the online queue, or set a reminder on SeeTickets.

As well as a one-night-only show in Manchester the 'Lay Me Down' singer will perform across the country in Sheffield, Glasgow, London, Birmingham. A host of European shows, including Dublin, Oslo and Amsterdam are also on the list.

The highly-awaited tour is in celebration of their latest album 'GLORIA' which has had great success with the breakout track 'Unholy', a collaboration with artist Kim Petras. Reaching No.1 in the UK charts, thousands of fans are eager to catch a glimpse of their more unique style of music.

How much are tickets?

The prices have been revealed and we now know just how much it will cost to see Sam Smith.

Tickets on O2 Priority, for the London show, range from £48.85 up to £99.85. Fans looking to buy tickets for the Manchester show can expect the prices to be similar.

Tickets are now on sale!

It's the moment we've all been waiting for, tickets are now on sale on Ticketmaster .

And just like William Byrne on Twitter we've never been more excited to see 'GLORIA' performed live:

10 minute warning

There's just 10 minutes to go before tickets go on sale, the countdown is well and truly on.

Now's your chance to log into Ticketmaster , make sure you payment details and info is all up to date and join the queue.

Get ahead in the queue

Ticketmaster's waiting room is thought to open shortly, get ready to join here.

This is a holding room for fans to wait before the queue starts, and joining it does have many perks. The best advantage is once joined you don't have to worry about manually clicking into 'join queue to get tickets' as you will automatically be placed in the queue.

Another one being that it gives you an extra fifteen minutes to join on another browser, even if its for the same date. Once you join, don't refresh or close your browser as you will lose your place.

Tips for getting pre-sale tickets today

Getting the pre-sale access codes is the first step, in what can be a stressful series of events; long queue's, limmited tickets and rising prices.

We've got a few tried and tested tips that can help boost your chances of getting tickets to Sam Smith's 'GLORIA' tour today.

Tips to get Pre-sale tickets:

• Save your pre-sale access code, or star the email in your inbox
• Know which site to go to - pre-sale is only available on Ticketmaster today
• Be early and join the waiting room 15 minutes before the queue starts - at 09:45 today
• Be flexible with venues and dates - go for Manchester but join the queue for another venue just incase
• Know when to refresh - not once you've joined the queue as you will be moved to the back
• The more devices the better - phone, laptop, tablet the more devices you join the queue only increases your chances
• Remember the 'demand based ticketing' - the longer the queue or time in day the more expensive tickets will be

Everything you need to know about 'GLORIA' 2023 tour

Sam Smith's newly announced tour is in celebration of their latest album, GLORIA.

We've only had a small glimpse at the new music, with songs 'Love Me More' and 'Unholy'. Both songs have had a great reaction from fans, and his collaboration with singer Kim Petras on the 'Unholy' track reached NO.1 in the UK charts.

The full UK tour dates:

• April 12 - Sheffield - Utilita Arena
• April 14 - Dublin, Ireland - 3Arena
• April 18 & 19 - London - The O2
• April 22 - Glasgow - OVO Hydro
• April 25 - Birmingham - Resorts World Arena
• May 24 - Manchester - AO Arena

The two pre-sale options

Tickets are available to buy on pre-sale in just over an hours time, on Ticketmaster.

The two options for the Manchester show are:

• Buy GLORIA album on official site to gain a pre-sale access code (the deadline was yesterday at 4pm but worth noting if you bought the album)
• Three Presale available to all network members with the Three App (there is no deadline for this)

Fans can also get early access with O2 Priority but this is only available for the London show at the O2 Arena on April 18. If you have forgotten about pre-sale then don't worry as general sale starts next week on October, 27 on Ticketmaster and SeeTickets.

There's two pre-sale options, if you're one of thousands of fans who bought Sam Smith's new GLORIA album through their official website then you would have been emailed an access code for today's pre-sale.

If not, the other pre-sale option is for fans with Three Mobile, who can access the sale today through the Three App.
