Ho Chi Minh City (Phu My), Vietnam

Phu My is a cruise port located 40 miles southeast of the famed Pearl of the Far East: Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon). Tours take cruisers to the bustling metropolis, where they're greeted by the warm and energetic atmosphere. Strike a bargain at the Ben Thanh Market, the perfect place to snag locally made goods like Vietnamese silks and bamboo products as well as feast on authentic street eats from savory banh mi sandwiches to steaming bowls of pho. Other excursions visit the sights of the Jade Emperor Pagoda, an active shrine that touts a pond of hungry tortoises waiting for a tasty treat from temple-goers, and the 1880 Saigon Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica. History lovers can journey underground to the impressive 155-mile network of Cu Chi Tunnels-complete with living spaces and booby traps-that acted as a military base for the Viet Cong guerrillas during the Vietnam War.

Vietnam Luxury Cruises

It’s a sensory melting-pot of the region’s very best charms: the happy cacophony of street vendors, colourful offerings in front of sacred temples, long ribbons of paradisiacal shores and a complex history that will inspire even the most ardent historian. Underscored by serenity and flanked by staggering natural beauty, Vietnam is one of the world’s most unforgettable countries. Whether your idea of the perfect Vietnam cruise is snaking through the jumble of streets in a pedi-cab or floating past the jagged peaks of Ha Long Bay, Silversea takes you closer to the authentic beauty of Vietnam. Welcome aboard.

DESTINATION HIGHLIGHTS

Ha Long Bay

Ha Long Bay

A visit to the north is not complete without a trip to Halong Bay, where placid waters give way to more than 3,000 limestone karsts and wind-sculpted limestone formations that jut from foggy lagoons. Dotting the bay are tiny islands bordered by white sandy coves and hidden caves, adding to the majestic landscape of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Adding to this naturalist’s dream is the biodiversity of islets, grottos, and Cat Ba Island National Park.

Chan May (hue/danang)

Chan May (hue/danang)

Hue (pronounced hway), bisected by the Perfume River and 13 km (8 mi) inland from the South China Sea, in the foothills of the Annamite Mountains (Truong Son Mountains), stands as a reminder of Vietnam's imperial past. The seat of 13 Nguyen-dynasty emperors between 1802 and 1945, Hue was once Vietnam's splendid Imperial City. Although it was devastated by the French in the 19th century and again by fighting between the Vietnamese Communists and the Americans in the 20th, the monument-speckled former capital has a war-ravaged beauty.

Ho Chi Minh City

Ho Chi Minh City

Romantically referred to by the French as the Pearl of the Orient, Ho Chi Minh City (former Saigon) today is a super-charged city of sensory overload. Motorbikes zoom day and night along the wide boulevards, through the narrow back alleys and past vendors pushing handcarts hawking goods of all descriptions.

Nah Trang

Home to some of Vietnam's best beaches and dive sites, the coastal city of Nha Trang is a magnet for those seeking sunshine and underwater adventure. Backdropped by mountains, white sandy coves shelter lovely bays and distant islands. The capital of Khanh Hoa province, Nha Trang has developed more of an infrastructure for tourists than other cities but still has a few temples and such to remind you that you're in Vietnam.

How to Choose Your Cruise: Silversea’s Grand Voyages

  • Pole-to-pole
  • South America
  • Mediterranean
  • New Zealand

The desire to travel dates to the dawn of humankind, but then, it was for survival. For many of us today, it’s about pleasure. For seasoned travelers, time in destination is key to a successful trip.

Silversea’s Grand Voyages focus on one region of the world at a time. It’s the opposite of the each-day-a-new-country approach to travel. Instead, travelers can probe more deeply into the region, experience more cultural immersion and discover its authentic soul.

Silversea has added two new Grand Voyages for 2025: The Grand Voyage Mediterranean and the Grand Voyage Northern Europe.

“We are very purposeful about our grand voyages,” says Justin Poulsen, Silversea’s Vice President of Itinerary Planning & Destination Development. “Grand Voyages need to be more than the sum of their parts. They must tell a story that builds upon itself.”

Silversea’s Grand Voyages, which are scheduled through 2025, focus on such places as the Arctic, the Indian Ocean, South Pacific, Asia, South America, Africa and Arabia, Northern Europe, the Mediterranean and a Pacific-focused voyage that travels from Tokyo to Sydney, Australia. Perhaps the most interesting of all is the Grand Pole to Pole, an expedition voyage, because it travels through seasons and hemispheres between Chile’s Puerto Williams to Antarctica to Svalbard’s Longyearbyen.

Whichever you choose, we promise you this: Travelers slip into another headspace as they relax into a world beyond the one they know.

What is a Grand Voyage?

world map

Longer than a typical cruise but more focused than a circumnavigation of the globe, a Grand Voyage narrows its boundaries to one part of the world and stays there long enough for guests to dig into the destination. These sailings typically center on a single continent, but at other times they include other regions and even stretch across continental divides. Grand Voyages brush broad geographic strokes but also manage to define the finer details of each cultural picture.

South America Grand Voyages , for example, tend to stick to South American countries but may also include the Central American nations and Caribbean islands bordering them.

The Grand Pacific Voyage draws a ring around Oceania, islands in the Pacific Ocean, then drags it toward Japan for a comprehensive sample of some of the region’s largest island nations.

On voyages of eight to 18 weeks, guests sail a comprehensive itinerary that will take them to globally recognized cities (visions of tango in Buenos Aires, Argentina; the minarets and spice markets of Casablanca, Morocco) as well as lesser-known spots on a map. The combination of big cities and secluded beaches gives Grand Voyage participants a more complex finish than a single place.

Here’s another thing: Grand Voyages are offered as both expeditions and classic cruises.

How does a Grand Voyage differ from a World Cruise?

silversea cruise vietnam

Think of a Grand Voyage as a world cruise that sticks to one part of the world. World cruises are longer than Grand Voyages and cover more nautical miles and ground to showcase a broader variety of destinations. Many (but not all) World Cruises circumnavigate the Earth, meaning they sail all the way around in one pattern or another, often passing through the Panama Canal. Silversea’s World Cruises are offered once each year and tend to include one-off special events that are available only aboard each specific sailing.

A Grand Voyage also requires a commitment of a month or more, and guests spend that time within a smaller radius. In other words, they get to see the biblical sites of Israel in depth on a Grand Voyage in the Arabian Peninsula rather than a single stop on a broader itinerary.

Whether you hold a magnifying glass closer to a map or pull it away, the circumference is the same; each type of cruise requires a significant commitment of time, but the difference is in how — and where — the time is spent.

Unlike a world cruise, which is a one-off, typically offered once a year, several grand voyage destinations are offered each year, usually including numerous countries in the specified region.

What grand voyages have in common with a Silversea world cruise is perks that typically are offered only to guests on the latter. These include a private transfer from home to airport, an overnight pre-cruise stay at a hotel with a welcome gala event, complimentary laundry service and unlimited Wi-Fi. Silversea’s unique world cruise events also offer the ultimate in insider access in a variety of destinations.

Can’t stay away too long?

Grand Voyages, just like World Cruises, are available in shorter segments (typically 10 or 11 days) so you can choose a shorter part of a Grand Voyage. Where do you want to go?

Check out our options for grand voyages through 2025 (scroll down).

What Grand Voyages are on the schedule?

Although Grand Voyages are a separate category from world cruises, the length and logistics involved in sailing guests to dozens of ports in various countries for unique experiences still takes considerable time to plan and execute.

Silversea continues to innovate, adding new ports of call, experimenting with different routes, even introducing new itineraries within regions. In this way, grand voyages remain exclusive. Only a handful are organized and available each year, and they don’t visit every region of the world annually. I

From Tokyo, the first segment is a Japan-centric voyage that also stops at Busan, the Los Angeles of Korea with its beachy culture and film festival setting. From Tokyo, again, the next leg spends three days in Shanghai, plus a multiday visit at Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh City, and a stop in Hong Kong, before winding up in Singapore. From Singapore it’s on to Bali and around Australia’s eastern coast to Brisbane. And the last series of port visits is Australia-intensive, then on to New Zealand before winding up in Sydney.

Highlights: This is a thorough tour through Central America, South America and the Caribbean and includes plenty of calls at lesser-known destinations as well as multiday visits to marquee ports. Silver Ray, as the newest ship in the Silversea fleet, is outfitted with all of new aspects of the Silver Nova-class of ship, including with an asymmetrical design that makes a great connection between ship and sea, and now legacy S.A.L.T. (Sea and Land Taste) programs; don’t miss out on regional piscos served on this itinerary at the S.A.L.T. Bar.

Grand Asia 2025

silversea cruise vietnam

The Trip: In 2025, Grand Asia, on Silversea’s Silver Whisper, travels from Singapore roundtrip, beginning February 15 and ending on April 26.

The itinerary: The 70-day cruise visits 34 destinations in nine countries with calls in Thailand, Vietnam, Hong Kong, the Philippines, China, Korea and Japan. Calls include marquee ports in each country as well as smaller, offbeat destinations such as Nha Trang, Jeju Island, and Koh Samui.

Highlights: You won’t want to miss the exclusive events for this Grand Voyage in Bangkok and Manila, Philippines. Visits to major cities in Japan are timed to the cherry blossom season.

Grand Voyage Mediterranean 2025

silversea cruise vietnam

The trip : The 54-day cruise on Silver Spirit sails from Venice, Italy, to Lisbon, Portugal, from September 18 to November 1, 2025.

The itinerary : Silver Spirit travels to 43 ports and 13 countries and entities in five segments.

Highlights : A classic Mediterranean cruise , but how do you decide where to go? That’s the beauty of the Grand Voyage Mediterranean: You can have it all.

“This is an itinerary where you don’t have to compromise,” says Justin Poulsen, Silversea’s Vice President of Itinerary Planning and Destination Development. “We will take you to all the iconic places but also add surprise and delight to the itinerary.”

silversea cruise vietnam

That means combining popular destinations such as Venice, Dubrovnik, Istanbul and Naples with off-the-beaten-path locations — think Kotor, Montenegro, and Palamós, Spain — accessible only by small ships. The journey offers a comprehensive exploration of the cradle of Western civilization in luxury and with plenty of time to explore.

Positioned at the end of the summer season, the itinerary visits the Adriatic Coast, Greek Isles and Eastern Mediterranean as well as the Southern and Western Mediterranean. It begins in Venice and heads south with stops in modern-day Slovenia, Croatia and Montenegro, which once belonged to the powerful trading empire of the Republic of Venice .

silversea cruise vietnam

It continues on to ancient destinations along the Greek coast and islands, stopping at Rhodes, Crete, Santorini, Patmos, Volos and the little-known gem Syros, which has quaint medieval villages and monasteries, and a fringe of beautiful beaches. Then it’s on to Istanbul with a cruise through the Dardanelles Strait, which separates Europe from the westernmost tip of Asia, and a land trip in Turkey to view the scenic landscape of Cappadocia by hot-air balloon.

From there, Silver Spirit heads back around to Sicily and Naples in southern Italy to explore the Southern Mediterranean, north to Rome, and along the Cote d’Azur with stops in Marseille, France, and Monaco. The final segment sails Spain’s Iberian Coast, with opportunities to explore Barcelona, Cartagena, Málaga, the landmark British cliff-top holding of Gibraltar on the tip of the Iberian Peninsula and Tangier, Morocco, before ending in Portugal.

Grand Voyage 2025: Grand North Atlantic & Northern Europe

silversea cruise vietnam

The trip : On northern Europe’s grand voyage, the 83-day cruise on the Silver Shadow sails round trip from New York City from June 11 to September 2, 2025.

The itinerary : Silver Shadow travels to 55 ports and 16 countries and entities in six segments.

Highlights : For three centuries, the Vikings embarked on arduous journeys to Britain and Europe as well as Iceland and parts of Canada in the constant push toward new lands. Silversea’s ambitious Grand Voyage Northern Europe was added to track that history by retracing routes between Scandinavia, the European continent and the New World .

“The underlying theme is of migration and exploration and Viking history,” says Justin Poulsen, Silversea’s vice-president of Itinerary Planning and Destination Development. “You’re really going to follow in the footsteps of the Vikings.”

It’s also a deep dive into world-class fjords and some of the most remote areas of Scandinavia. The extensive journey ventures across Eastern Canada to the British Isles, the Baltic Sea, Norway and Iceland with extended stays in some ports to allow deeper explorations of destinations and experiences in nature.

From New York, the Silver Shadow heads north to Canada and then crosses the Atlantic Ocean, landing at Belfast, Northern Ireland. It continues along the coast to such cities as Dublin, Ireland, and Liverpool, England, and smaller destinations, such as the Isle of Man and the self-governed isle of Jersey.

It stops in Cardiff, Wales, where guests will be treated to a traditional choir music concert in a castle in the countryside. The itinerary heads to the coast of France, Belgium and the Netherlands before heading north to Sweden and Denmark, crossing the Baltic Sea with stops in Finland, Estonia and Latvia, then swinging back west and north to Norway.

silversea cruise vietnam

More than a dozen stops in Norway underscore the country’s remote and remarkable coast, including sailing in two fjords — Geiranger and  Nærøyfjord   — that have been named UNESCO World Heritage sites for their natural beauty.

From there it’s on to Iceland and a return journey across the Atlantic with stops in Canada before returning to New York City.

“By the time you reach Newfoundland,” Poulsen says, “you’ve got the whole story of Viking history.”

Grand Voyage Australia 2025

silversea cruise vietnam

The trip: The 47-day cruise on Silver Nova sails round-trip from Melbourne, Australia, from Oct. 14 to Nov. 30, 2025.

The itinerary: Silver Nova travels to 23 ports (including seven overnights) in a circumnavigation of Australia.

Highlights : This is an  Australian cruise  like no other because, instead of jumping off from Sydney to other parts of the globe, Grand Australia circles the continent and stops at ports that accentuate its ancient aboriginal roots, its past as a British penal colony, and its incredible beaches and natural wonders found only Down Under.

The cruise stops in all of the country’s six states and two territories in an intensive adventure to the largest island in Oceania, a vast region made up of New Zealand, Papua New Guinea as well as Melanesia, Micronesia and Polynesia, which includes the state of Hawaii. Each port highlights a place of historic, natural or cultural value and includes cities, such as Melbourne (the start and end point),  Sydney , with its landmark opera house and bridge, and Adelaide.

Smaller remote areas have their own stories to tell, like the 19th-century whaling town of Eden, where aboriginal hunters once used orcas to trap and kill humpbacks. The resort town of Broome in Western Australia serves up stunning beaches and pearl farms, and the town of Hobart at the southern tip of Tasmania, in the shadow of Kunanyi, or Mount Wellington, provides a gateway to the remote outdoors.

silversea cruise vietnam

And there are islands to explore. Kangaroo Island in South Australia offers a glimpse of one of the most remote, unspoiled places in the country, and Fraser Island off Queensland reveals a one-of-a-kind landscape of sand dunes and tall rainforests.

On this journey, travelers will come face to face with the world’s smallest marsupial, the quokka, and the endangered Tasmanian devil. Destinations also include the Great Barrier Reef; Exmouth, Western Australia; Busselton, Western Australia; and Thursday Island, Far North Queensland.

Grand South Pacific Expedition

silversea cruise vietnam

The trip: The 74-day cruise on the Silver Cloud sails from Perth, Australia, to Valparaíso, Chile, Aug. 20 to Nov, 2, 2025.

The itinerary: Silver Cloud travels to 58 ports and 11 countries (with seven overnights).

Highlights: This expedition heads to more than 50 remote and pristine places in the South Pacific. Prepare to be astonished by the obscure, including a stop at the volcanic ocean peaks in Papua New Guinea’s Vitu (also called Witu) Islands. Visitors to the largest, Garove, walk on the lush ring of land that is actually the rim of a volcano caldera; the island has a body of water at its center.

Other stops in the nation include Madang, a pretty town known for its rainforests, rugged mountains and epic snorkeling, and Rabaul, a veritable ghost town since falling ash from a volcanic eruption destroyed many buildings in 1994.

Then it’s on to Champagne Beach on Espiritu Santo, the westernmost island of Vanuatu, so named because waters around the white-sand beach “bubble” from volcanic vents below the surface; and Adamstown, the capital of Pitcairn Islands, where the descendants of the mutineers of the famed HMS Bounty and their Tahitian companions settled to build a new life in the late 18th century.

silversea cruise vietnam

Today about 50 people continue to live in the place that’s more than 400 miles from the nearest populated land. Other itinerary stops include bird-rich volcanic Ambrym and Pentecost islands in the nation of Vanuatu; the stone monoliths (known as moai) of  Easter Island , or Rapa Nui, in Chile; Aitutaki Island and the coral atoll Palmerston in the Cook Islands; Robinson Crusoe Island in Chile; Neiafu in Tonga; Fiji islands; and the remote Kimberley Coast in Western Australia.

Luxury Cruises to Vietnam

Vietnam cruises with Celebrity show you the many faces of this intriguing country. Ancient temples, incense heavy in the air, contrast with a backdrop of glassy skyscrapers. A constant stream of scooters and motorbikes forms a river of activity through the busy cities, where street food sizzles on roadside stalls. But there’s serenity, too. Historic palaces and ornate pagodas lie in the midst of dense tropical vegetation, while emerald rice paddies reflect the vast sky.

Join a cooking class to prepare fresh, spicy Vietnamese specialties. Take a cycling tour around the enchanting town of Hoi An. See the sheer-sided limestone towers of Halong Bay from a kayak, and delve into modern history in Ho Chi Minh City, with its poignant museums and nearby, the famous Cu Chi Tunnels. You’ll find a dazzling choice of activities and excursions on a luxury cruise to Southeast Asia with Celebrity.

Vietnam Cruise Highlights

Ancient temples.

Vietnam’s countryside is dotted with majestic temples displaying an ageless beauty of bygone cultures. My Son temple complex, near Danang, is one of the most impressive, dedicated to the Hindu god, Shiva. Although the crumbling buildings are partly consumed by tropical greenery, a visit here gives you an insight into the wealth and sophistication of Vietnam’s Cham dynasty. Near Hue, visit the Imperial City, a complex within the walled citadel that was once the seat of Vietnam’s Nguyen rulers.

Dazzling Scenery

When it comes to jaw-dropping natural beauty, Vietnam has it all. Some 1,600 jungly limestone towers are scattered across an often mist-shrouded sea in Halong Bay, where tooth-like mountains are reflected in mirror-calm paddy fields. In the far south, rivers criss-cross the vast maze of the green Mekong Delta, coconut palms lining their banks. You’ll find endless golden beaches, too, especially around Danang, lapped by the warm waters of the South China Sea.

Exciting Cuisine

Vietnamese food is both elegant and unique, and packed with contrasts. Spicy dishes are tempered with fresh herbs and vegetables, while crispy salads are paired with refreshing soups and noodles. During your cruise, you could learn to make classic dishes like crispy spring rolls, stir-fried beef, minty chicken salad, and green papaya salad topped with fresh shrimp. Even if you prefer not to cook, don’t miss a chance to browse Vietnam’s colorful markets and dine in a local restaurant.

Vietnam Cruise Itineraries

Explore the coast of Vietnam on itineraries lasting either 12 or 13 nights. You could sail from Singapore to Tokyo, or between Singapore and Hong Kong in either direction. Ports of call include Ho Chi Minh City; Chan May, for Hue and Danang; the beach resort of Nha Trang; and Halong Bay, gateway to the capital, Hanoi, and magnificent limestone landscapes. Most cruises include an overnight in Halong Bay.

Itineraries

Why cruise to vietnam with celebrity cruises.

Celebrity’s luxurious ships take you along the coast of Vietnam in style. Toast to the end of a thrilling day ashore with cocktails at the al fresco Sunset Bar. Enjoy the flavors of iconic Italian dishes in Tuscan Grille, or specialty coffee and pastries from Café al Bacio. On Solstice-series ships, visit the Lawn Club on the upper deck for relaxing, sunbathing, or a game of croquet. Choose The Retreat for the ultimate in luxury, with access to an exclusive lounge and sundeck, fine dining in Luminae, exclusive to guests of The Retreat, and chic suite accommodation.

A cruise to Vietnam with Celebrity will give you an in-depth insight into this complex and fascinating country, from the buzz of cosmopolitan Ho Chi Minh City to the intricate, 19th century citadel of Hue and the French colonial architecture of Hanoi. You’ll have time to bask on the sandy beaches of Nha Trang, gaze at the otherworldly scenery of Halong Bay, and indulge in one of the most exciting cuisines in Southeast Asia.

7 amazing cruise itineraries to book in 2024

I don't know about you, but each year, as the weather turns cold, I start daydreaming about getting out of Dodge — or, in my case, Pennsylvania. My mind wanders to cruises that will take me to places where the temperature is warmer, but I also take a hard look at the (exceptionally lengthy) list of places I'm longing to visit.

After digging through what's new for 2024, I've come up with a shortlist of sailings that I think are noteworthy. They range from a standard Bahamas voyage with a new twist and an extended Alaska sailing that includes a foray across the Arctic Circle to more far-flung destinations in the Asia-Pacific region.

Dream on, dear reader, and add these to your list of 2024 cruise itineraries.

Note: All prices listed are per person, based on double occupancy, unless otherwise noted. Fares do not include taxes and fees.

Seabourn's 'Kimberley Expedition: Waterfalls and Wandjinas' itinerary

Last year, the Australia and New Zealand cruise region gained momentum following the pandemic shutdown. In 2024, the hardly populated Australia region of The Kimberley is gaining popularity. Luxury cruise brand Seabourn will be offering a series of six 10-night voyages between Broome and Darwin on expedition vessel Seabourn Pursuit during what will be early winter in the southern hemisphere.

The line's " Kimberley Expedition: Waterfalls and Wandjinas " will take passengers to places along the coast few passengers are able to visit to see the stunning teal waters and horizontal waterfalls of Talbot Bay, sample wines in the Hunter River Region and check out nature preserves in Wyndham.

Details: The first sailing, from Darwin to Broome, embarks on June 12. The final voyage, from Broome to Darwin, departs on Aug. 1. Prices start from $6,134 per person ($613 per person, per night), double occupancy, for the July 2 cruise. All accommodations are suites with balconies.

Celebrity's 'Best of Japan' and 'Vietnam and Thailand' cruises

The number of voyages in Asia was trending upward notably prior to 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic brought cruising in the region to an extended halt. And it's once again on the rise. Following that curve, Celebrity Cruises will be running new 11- to 13-night Asia sailings in 2024 on two ships — Celebrity Millennium and Celebrity Solstice — that bring stops in Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Vietnam and Thailand.

What's notable about the offerings is that they will aim to immerse passengers further into the destinations by including overnights in a total of 11 ports across all itineraries. That means more time to explore Hanoi's Old Quarter as the sun sets, indulge in nighttime gastronomy in Hong Kong, visit one of Bangkok's many markets, or learn why Osaka is known for street food.

Details: Celebrity Millennium's " Best of Japan " cruises run from early mid-March to early October. At press time, the least expensive fares — for a 12-night sailing — start from $1,330 per person ($111 per person, per night) for an inside cabin. It travels round-trip from Yokohama and visits Hiroshima, Pusan and other ports, including Osaka, where the ship will overnight.

Celerbrity Solstice's Vietnam and Thailand cruises kick off in mid-January and run through March. The ship will resume them again in the fall of 2024 and run through the winter season. Prices start from $1,255 per person ($105 per person, per night) for an inside cabin. The voyage sails from Hong Kong to Singapore with stops in Da Nang and Koh Samui, plus overnights in Hanoi and Bangkok.

SeaDream's 'Yachting the Adriatic & Greek Isles' sailing

Here's one to put on your radar if you're looking to book — but not necessarily sail — in 2024. It's a new Mediterranean itinerary that doesn't start up for nearly three more years, in 2026. The SeaDream routing brings stops at seven ports that are rarely visited by cruise passengers. During the seven-night voyages, there will be calls at Primosten, Croatia; Cesme, Turkey; Cetubal, Portugal; and Kythira, Kythnos, Syvota and Tinos, Greece — making these sailings unique and well-suited to anyone who loves the region but who's looking for new places to experience.

SeaDream's small ships, each of which carries just 112 people, are able to reach locales about which passengers on megaships can only fantasize. Couple that with excellent service, and you'll be visiting the Our Lady of Loretto statue in Primosten, touring the Cesme Castle and lounging on stunning Greek beaches from a home base that puts you squarely in the lap of luxury.

Details: An itinerary that includes three of the seven new ports is the 11-night " Yachting the Adriatic & Greek Isles " itinerary from Venice, Italy, to Athens, Greece, departing on Aug. 8, 2026, on SeaDream I. Prices start from $10,399 per person ($946 per person, per night) for a room with a porthole view.

Holland America's 'Alaska Arctic Circle Solstice' Legendary Voyage

Alaska is an absolute must for anyone who enjoys the vastness of untouched wilderness, the wildlife it houses and adventurous pursuits it provides. (Think whale-watching, hiking on glaciers and salmon fishing.) However, Holland America 's Westerdam is hosting a 28-day sailing that's anything but your standard cruise to the Last Frontier .

Passengers will visit the usual Alaska ports, such as Ketchikan, Sitka and Juneau, with scenic sailing through the Inside Passage, past Hubbard Glacier and to Glacier Bay. But they can also expect less-common stops at places like Nome, Kodiak, Anchorage (with an overnight) and Homer. Plus, about halfway through, this cruise crosses the Arctic Circle — a rite of passage for many travelers.

Details: Holland America's 28-day " Alaska Arctic Circle Solstice " cruise — one of the line's Legendary Voyages, known for longer durations and a unique mix of port calls — sails June 9-July 7, round-trip from Seattle. Inside cabins start from $5,299 per person (about $189 per person, per night).

Silversea's summertime French Polynesia cruises

Another consideration for future travel is Silversea Cruises , which is featuring its first full-summer season in French Polynesia in 2026. Silver Whisper will offer two immersive itineraries, including overnights, across 17 voyages between April and September.

Passengers can choose seven-night sailings that visit idyllic favorites like Tahiti, Moorea and Huahine and which also include overnights in Bora Bora. Or, they can cruise for twice as long by selecting a 14-night voyage that calls on the same ports as the seven-night option but with Fakarava, Nuku Hiva, Fatu Hiva, Atuona and Tahuata added.

Details: Silversea's seven-night voyages begin April 6, 2026, and start from $5,650 per person ($808 per person, per night) for an ocean-view cabin.

The line's 14-night sailings start on April 20, 2026. Fares start from $10,450 per person ($747 per person, per night) for ocean-view accommodations.

New Bermuda voyages on Carnival Venezia

Beginning in May of 2025, Carnival Cruise Line 's Carnival Venezia will sail a series of eight four- and five-night cruises to Bermuda from New York. These itineraries are notable because the line is aiming to increase its presence there but also because the style of the ship is new to even most of the brand's most dedicated passengers.

In 2022, Carnival announced its Costa by Carnival concept after revealing it would be transferring ships from its Costa sister brand to the Carnival fleet. Now, when travelers visit the Gibb's Hill Lighthouse or check out the island's renowned pink-sand beaches during a sailing on Carnival Venezia, they can enjoy both the Italian style of the ship and Carnival's fun atmosphere and high service standards.

Details: Voyages kick off on May 22, 2025. Prices start from $429 per person ($108 per person, per night) for an inside cabin on a four-night cruise departing Sept. 18, 2025.

Disney Cruise Line's Lighthouse Point itineraries

Disney Cruise Line 's new Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point , a private destination on the Bahamian island of Eleuthera, is set to open in June with a three-night preview sailing on June 6 aboard Disney Magic. Following the initial voyage, the line will run regular three- to seven-night voyages to Lighthouse Point on Disney Magic, Disney Fantasy and Disney Dream.

The island will feature a dedicated family beach and water play area, an arts and culture pavilion focused on Bahamian culture, 20 family cabanas, an adults-only beach and a selection of shore excursion options.

Details: Prices for itineraries that include Lighthouse Point start from $624 per person ($208 per person, per night) for a three-night cruise on Disney Magic. The cruise departs Nov. 5 and sails from Fort Lauderdale's Port Everglades to San Juan, Puerto Rico.
