The 10 Best Snorkeling Tours On Oahu, Hawaii

This is the ultimate guide for the top Snorkeling tours on Oahu. There’s nowhere in the world quite like Oahu when it comes to marine life. With about a thousand miles of coral reef surrounding the Hawaiian Islands, snorkeling is one of the island’s most popular water activities. You can come face to face with tropical fish, green turtles, spinner dolphins, spotted eagle rays, and even hear the calls of majestic humpback whales.

My personal favorites are Turtle Canyon Snorkel Cruise by Catamaran   to snorkel with green turtles and Oahu Snorkel Cruise: Swim With Turtles In Waikiki to snorkel, eat delicious food and learn about Hawaiian history.

TURTLE CANYON SNORKEL CRUISE BY CATAMARAN

Turtle Canyon Snorkel Cruise by Catamaran : Have you ever dreamt of snorkeling with green turtles in Oahu? Then it’s time to do it! Let Catamaran Cruise take care of getting you there with everything you need for a lovely day of snorkeling and cruising. For $97, you will get pretty much everything you need from pick-up and drop-off, snorkeling and SCUBA equipment, lunch and snacks, complimentary alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, and an expert guide.

There are two tour options; a 2-hour morning tour and a 3-hour midday tour. It is impossible not to spot green turtles during the tour but if you don’t see any on your tour, you can book another tour for free. As a photo lover, I like the chill on the deck of the boat and taking photos of Waikiki’s insane scenery. Definitely worth the time and the money for this one!

ECO-FRIENDLY DOLPHIN SNORKEL HALF-DAY CRUISE (BEST SELLER)

Eco-friendly Dolphin Snorkel Half-day Cruise : If watching wild spinner dolphins and snorkeling with tropical fish and sea turtles are what you are looking for, Leeward Coast Dolphin and Snorkel Half-Day Cruise is just what you need. You’ll get a fully inclusive tour that offers transport to and from hotels, meals on-board your boat, two complimentary alcoholic beverages, and free use of snorkel gear. The captain and the crew are personable, knowledgeable, and professional so you will definitely enjoy their journey.

The excursion starts at 9:00 A.M. and you will return to Waikiki around 1:00 P.M. If you are lucky, giant humpback whales will be there to greet you. If ever you don’t encounter dolphins, you will still receive a snorkeling activity at no cost or a cruise with cocktail and sunset. Not as cheap as other tours in Waikiki but it’s worth it!

WAIANAE COAST SNORKEL CRUISE WITH DOLPHIN & WHALE WATCHING

Waianae Coast Snorkel Cruise With Dolphin & Whale Watching : I think this is the best tour of the island if you want to see spinner dolphins and turtles. What’s more, if you’re fortunate enough and go in the right season you will spot magnificent humpback whales. The tour guide picks you up from Waikiki and takes you on a snorkeling adventure on Waianae Coast, about a 45-minutes drive to the harbor before you board the boat.

Then, they will provide you a complete snorkel gear such as masks, fins, snorkel, and life vests.

NORTH SHORE SHARK CAGE DIVE ADVENTURE

The North Shore Shark Cage Dive Tour is the most easily the most epic and unique bout tours on Oahu. The tour takes you just a few miles offshore where you will put on a snorkel and get inside a cage. For 20 minutes under the water, you’ll be surrounded by around a dozen sharks or even more. Pickup and drop-off service and equipment are included. You don’t need to be a good swimmer as you just hold on inside the cage. This was one of my all-time favorite things to do on Oahu.

ECO-FRIENDLY WEST OAHU SNORKEL SAIL WITH DOLPHINS

Eco-friendly West Oahu Snorkel Sail With Dolphins : The west side of Oahu is the most underrated place on the island and also where you are most likely to have a natural encounter with a dolphin or turtle. I can tell you that from experience, you rarely go west and don’t see some sealife! Not only that, but the captain will also entertain you by talking about Hawaiian natural history whilst taking you to a hidden snorkeling spot.

You’ll be provided with all the gear you need for perfect snorkeling in a not-so-crowded spot. They have showers and changing facilities onboard for you to get comfy.

Quality is Definitely a Five Star…

Amazing tour! We took the circle island tour with John Jr. as our tour guide. There was never a boring moment from the beginning to the end. Every stop was worth visiting and even my 6-year-old daughter said “The tour was so much fun!”. We purchased the tour from Groupon, but the quality of service is definitely a five star. This tour has become the highlight of our trip to Oahu. Highly recommended!

Highly Recommend!

We went on the Island tour last week and we loved it! Cousin John Jr. was the best tour guide! Loved his ukulele playing and singing! Our 8 old year daughter enjoyed it too. She especially liked the snorkeling with the turtles! Highly recommend!

Definitely Would Do This Again…

John Jr. was our tour guide today and he was great! Really enjoyed my time the whole bus ride, kept us entertained with singing and playing the ukulele, making jokes and wonderful facts of the wonderful island of Oahu. Definitely would do this again and I prefer John Jr. ?

snorkel hawaii oahu tours

WOW. I Cannot Say Enough!

WOW. I cannot say enough about this tour and especially the tour guide!! Well worth the money. Our tour guide was Cousin A. One of the most knowledgeable people I’ve ever met, and not just about Hawaii. Beautiful views, provided donuts, history, delicious lunch (not included), snorkeling – BEAUTIFUL. Experience was bar-none and I wish I could have Ariel tour me around the globe!

Holy Cow! Snorkeling With…

My wife and I are in Honolulu celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and can’t thank cousin Johnny Jr. enough for starting us out on such a fun day. From the start we could tell we probably made the best choice selecting Aloha Circle Island Tour as an introduction to Honolulu. Little did we know we would get the history of the island, but Hawaii itself and the people as well are fascinating. Or, was cousin Johnny Jr. just that good of a tour guide… I am typically not too interested in hanging out on a beach and especially not eager to see what’s lurking around inside the water, but holy cow! snorkeling with sea turtles was absolutely awesome! Thank goodness for lifeguard Dan and his aloha attitude to making that experience a reality for everyone. The poi donuts were an interesting start to the history introduction and made for good conversation, so please don’t stop doing that. The ukulele is a nice touch too cousin. Don’t give up your day job, please. Just to finish the thought about the day, it ended with an unbelievable fireworks display here at the hotel. Thanks again Aloha Circle Island Tour!

The Atmosphere Was Good Times…

I managed to squeeze this one trip in still before I left Oahu. I am very glad I did. Uncle Tony did a great job making us all feel welcome and connected with the rest of our group, for the whole trip we treated eat other as Ohana and made sure everyone was happy and on board. The conversation and information was good, the jokes were funny, the atmosphere was good times as we went from site to site. Yes we snorkeled, yes we saw turtles and even a monk seal, yes we ate well (probably too many nuts), we saw a lot of beautiful scenery and got many photos. Enjoyed the songs, the music, the stories, the people and the whole experience. It will not be forgotten. Mahalo.

Top 10 Boat Tours & Water Sports in Kapolei!

This was our favorite experience during our two weeks in Hawaii. Great friendly crew, good lunch. The whole thing felt relaxed and lovely. We went snorkeling and we saw a turtle. This really made us happy. The pick up from the hotel was also very good.

If you are looking for a sunset cruise, this is the one to take! The crew exemplified the saying “Do what you love but call it work.” Their enthusiasm, friendliness, and love of the natural beauty surrounding us made this a truly memorable evening.

This was an amazing experience. Really, I can't say enough good things. The team worked together to give us a wonderful morning of both relaxation and fun. If your vacation budget only really allows you to do one thing, this should be it!!

We did the Sunset Cruise, absolutely amazing, Staff was just awesome......Grace, Tamiko, Taylor and Captain Travis...and a special shout out to, Jake who entertained my 4 year old daughter and made her birthday!! Also let Mom and Dad enjoy the Sunset!!! A definite must do!!!

They were some of the first to pioneer safe and non-intrusive dolphin encounters and whale watching with these wonderful ocean creatures, with thousands of amazed, happy and repeat customers attesting to their success. They added another great snorkeling adventure, the Catamaran Sail & Snorkel Tour. They and their current Captains Matt, Todd, Travis, and Taylor, their crew, and staff continue Ko Olina Ocean Adventure’s tradition in providing Hawaii’s visitors with an adventurous, fun, memorable and safe ocean experience.
