The Day Trips/Tours to Lady Elliot Island offer a great opportunity for domestic or international visitors with limited time to explore Australia’s Great Barrier Reef. Lady Elliot Island is located on the southern tip of the Great Barrier Reef, 80km north-east of Bundaberg, just to the north of Fraser Island. 1 Day Fraser Island Tours

From $90. The perfect way to enjoy Fraser Island if you're short on time. These tours take the full day, from approx. 7:30am to 5:30pm.

2 Day Fraser Island Tours

From $299. For those with a little more time to spend on the island. A 2 day tour gives you the opportunity to experience all but the most remote highlights.

Unforgettable Fraser Island tours depart from Hervey Bay , Rainbow Beach , the Sunshine Coast , Brisbane and the Gold Cost . With one day or multi-day day tours available to explore Fraser Island you can experience this unique paradise whatever your travel plans or budget.

Tour sizes range from 5 to 50 people. All Fraser island tours are conducted by 4WD vehicles. These can be 4WD Land Cruisers for some of the smaller one day tours to 51 seater 4WD coaches for the larger groups. Prices for small groups are generally higher than for the bigger tour groups.

Oz East Coast Adventure 28 Days

One of my favourite parts of the tour was snorkelling the Great Barrier Reef. I hadn’t been in the sea for 13 years and every time we did a sea activity on the trip I didn’t participate. Shannon was determined to increase my confidence in the water. She helped me with a snorkel mask and showing me how to stay calm and breath. We made an agreement that I would snorkel in the Great Barrier Reef. I was so scared but Shannon was so supportive and helpful, if it wasn’t for her encouragement I probably wouldn’t have done it. Now I love snorkelling, and one week after this I did it again! Thanks so much Shannon, the best tour leader and friend!

Best of the Coast - Sydney to Cairns 16 Day Flashpacker Adventure Tour

I recently did a 16 day tour from Sydney to Cairns with Via Travel Australia. We had a small group and I had so much fun. The places we visited were beautiful. The entire group felt super safe and relaxed the whole time. We got to explore all of these amazing parts of Australia and learn about the culture. Best Beaches, Rainforest and Islands – 13 Day Flashpacker Adventure Tour

My boyfriend and I travelled from Brisbane to Cairns with Via travel two weeks ago and had the trip of a lifetime! The tour had the perfect balance of sight-seeing and relaxing so it really felt like a holiday while also seeing and experiencing some amazing places! It was fun, well-organised and stopped at all of the must-see places on the East Coast! Our tour guide, Jason, was friendly and informative and had an outrageous amount of knowledge on everything East Coast, from local knowledge, information about the wildlife, history and culture to restaurant and bar recommendations! His energy kept us going, even when we were tired, and made sure that everyone had a great time! Although everywhere we visited was amazing, some of the highlights for me were Magnetic Island (our favourite!!), which gave us the chance to see koalas, wallabies and lots of wildlife up close and in their natural habitats, snorkelling the Great Barrier Reef, where we saw incredible aquatic life and coral (an absolute must do!!) and our Indigenous culture experience with Kuku Yalanji tours where we were completely out of our comfort zone but learned so much and got a real insight into local culture. We absolutely loved the small tour group size too, which allowed us to get to know everyone really well within a couple of days and make friends from all corners of the world! The group dinners and nights out that we had were so much fun! Whether you're a nature enthusiast, adventure seeker, or simply looking to explore the beauty of the East Coast, this tour with Via travel is a must-do experience and one that I will be recommending to all of my friends!!

Fraser Dingo were very informative and well-organised in the lead up to the trip giving you all details you needed for an amazing adventure! The car was so much fun to drive across the island and the bed in the back was comfy! We were provided with all camping equipment for the stay as well as detailed information about the itinerary, tide times, weather etc. It couldn't have been easier! Fraser Island is stunning and a must-visit in Queensland. I highly recommend this trip with Fraser Dingo!

The Oz east coast trip with Intro is an amazing way to explore the entire east coast trip fast! It is well organised and as described, with the option to do extra activities along the way too. My leader was Molly who has fantastic. She got the group to each destination safe and sound, without any hassle, and with lots of laughs! She also was extremely knowledgeable about each destination we went to and about the general Aussie culture. She was extremely approachable to any queries that you had and gave me lots of tips and advice for working in OZ after! It is also a great way to make lifelong friends and travel safely. I would definitely recommend. I would also suggest bringing a suitcase or wheely backpack as it is much easier to travel with. ????

By drop bear adventures, ideal accommodation on our guided tour.

Highly recommend booking your K’gari Fraser Island tour with this company if you plan to visit. Our accommodation was ideal and had everything you’d need – own toilet, toiletries, shower, beds, towels etc. The campsite was great all our meals were included and cooked for us. Our tour guide Brett was fantastic, he had us up and out early every morning so we could enjoy the beautiful lakes and walks all to ourselves before other tour groups arrived. He knew so much history/stories about the island and it’s traditional owners the Butchulla people, which added to the whole experience.

sustainable, interesting and very fun

If you’re looking for a sustainable, interesting and very fun experience, I can truly recommend booking the 3 day tour with K’Gari Adventures! It was so worth it, we’ve spent so much time exploring the island, driving the cars on the beach and in the inland, our tour guide Troy was amazing!! He told us heaps of stories about himself, the island and its history and about the beautiful sky full of stars at night! We’ve seen all attractions and we’ve always been the first ones to arrive, which I see as a result of the guide’s experience. The accommodation and the food was amazing and the whole group dynamics were nice. It definitely felt like a small group even tough we’ve been quite a few people. Thank you!

Passionate guide, Great food & clean  accommodation

Most people who go and visit K’gari would probably absolutely love it but what I loved about this tour was our tour leader Mark and his clear passion and excitement about the island. With his history, stories and love for this island, it would be hard not to fall in love with this place and want to come back again (which I desperately do!) The food was great, the accommodation was clean and nice and the tour gave you just enough time in each place to enjoy it but also you visited so many different areas. I also liked that you did all the driving as that was all part of the experience. I would literally recommend this to anyone!

Please note this tour may not be suitable if you have existing neck or back problems or are pregnant. Check with your agent to make sure this tour is suitable for you. 

Your Responsibilities:

Please advise us before booking if any passengers are under 18 years old to ensure this is the appropriate trip. 

You must reconfirm all booked tours prior to travel as specified on your voucher. If applicable, notes such as dietary requirements, pick-up locations and additional fees should also be confirmed at this time. Reconfirmations cannot be actioned through Fraser Tours / Mr Travel, and must be done so directly through the Service Operator as specified on each ticket.

It is your responsibility to notify us of ticket discrepancies. Please read through the details on your voucher thoroughly to ensure all details such as passenger names, ages and dates of travel on vouchers are correct.

It is the responsibility of all passengers travelling to advise both your travel agent at the time of booking and vessel check-in agent before boarding of any medical conditions including food allergies you may suffer from.

You need to allow adequate time to check-in prior to the specified departure time. 

Prices/Extra Costs:

All prices are stated in Australian dollars and include GST. Surcharges over peak holiday seasons may apply. 

The Service Operator reserves the right to alter prices and extra costs. Extra costs may include EMC fees, Stingersuit/Wetsuit Hire, Luggage Storage, Insurance, Linen Hire, National Park Fees, Fuel Levies, Dietary Fees, etc. Bonds may also apply.

We will also endeavour to communicate these extra costs with you at the time of booking, and on your ticket. However, it is your responsibility to confirm which (if any) additional costs apply with each Service Operator upon reconfirming your trip.

Travel Risk/Insurance:

It should be noted that adventure travel involves risk. Whilst we make every effort to safeguard clients, we cannot be responsible for personal injury or loss due to the actions of our clients which are beyond our control. All departures and itineraries are subject to weather. Tours may be changed or cancelled for any reason at the discretion of the Tour Operator. We highly recommend that all clients have travel insurance covering illness, injury, loss or damage to personal belongings and not being able to travel on the confirmed date of departure. You should also ensure your travel insurance will cover special circumstances including weather events preventing guests from travelling to their tour departure destination and cancelled flights due to unforeseen circumstances. 

Merchant Fees:

Please be aware operators pass on credit card merchant fees so there is a non-refundable 1% surcharge for VISA and MASTERCARD card purchases.

All ticket/voucher reissues attract a $20 administration fee.

Open Date Vouchers / Gift Certificate:

Shipping Costs are in addition to the ticket price and will be added at check-out. Shipping costs are non-refundable and do not makeup part of the ticket value. 

E-Vouchers incur no shipping fees. You have 5 years to use the value of the voucher. Seasonal Price Rises will apply if travelling out the current seasons pricing. Vouchers can be exchanged for free up to the full value of the voucher excluding credit card fees and charges.

Cancellations

Client Cancellations:

All cancellations forfeit 25% of the recommended retail price (RRP) - not the discounted/sale price. No shows or client cancellations made within 72 hours of departure forfeit 100% of the total ticket price. 

Transfers between tours can be made at the suppliers discretion, however, it should be noted that supplier fees may apply. Tour transfers also incur a $20 administration fee. 

It is compulsory that all cancellation requests are in writing and sent via email to [email protected]. Cancellations attempted via online chat or phone will not be actioned.

Supplier Cancellations:

The Service Operator reserves the right to alter prices, alter itineraries, apply a fuel surcharge, cancel departures, arrange alternative transport and vary itineraries and services if necessary.

All departures and itineraries are subject to weather. Tours may be changed or cancelled for any reason at the discretion of the Service Operator. If the Service Operator has to cancel the trip or activity (prior to departure) and we cannot offer a suitable alternative, then a refund will be given minus a 20% administration fee and any associated card fees. We strongly recommend that you have travel insurance, especially during the wet season.

In the unlikely event of your trip being cancelled or stood down, all guest communication is required to go through our Online Store via telephone or email. While there is a Sailing Whitsundays retail outlet located Airlie Beach, please be aware that they operate as a separate entity and are unable to access reservations made by the Mr Travel online department.

All refunds are in Australian Dollars and must be made to the card of payment. Sailing Whitsundays/Mr Travel is not liable for exchange rate fluctuations or fees, or any other merchant/bank fees associated with domestic and/or international transactions.

Where a full refund is applicable, there is the option to transfer the whole cost of the tour to another tour or “Credit” to avoid the administration fee. A transfer fee of $20 will apply.

You will be emailed confirmation once the refund has been processed. Once the refund has been processed, it may still take time for the banks to clear the amount. Please allow 7-10 business days for the funds to clear into Australian accounts and up to 21 business days for international accounts.

Accountability/Misconduct:

All Service Operators have the right to provide client feedback and to cancel bookings based off of feedback from other Service Operators.

Sailing Whitsundays/Mr Travel will treat this as any normal client cancellation and therefore the cancellation fees stated in the Client Cancellation Policy will apply.
