Cocoa Beach Nature Boat Tour

This daily two-hour excursion is the best value around. We depart from 499 Ramp Road in Cocoa Beach, the boat comes to pick you up. This 2 hour tour consists of a slow ride through the Thousand Island nature preserve. We explore the Banana River Lagoon. During the tour we generally see all different types of wildlife in the canals. Manatees, Dolphins, Birds, and beautiful vegetation are just some of the highlights on our tour in Cocoa Beach. The Captain and mates narrate sharing their knowledge of the diverse area. The routes vary depending on the weather and animals.

The quiet motor catamaran with comfortable wrap around seating allows passengers to move around for optimal viewing and to interact with the crew and other passengers. The stability of the boat provides an excellent platform for photographing wildlife. The sun cover and on-board restroom add to customer comfort and relaxation. We provide free soft drinks and water. There are some binoculars for your use. Adults usually appreciate that our tours are educational and informative and just plain fun. Kids love the surprises we have for them.

We have free water and soda on board; however, you may bring snacks or anything else that you would like to drink.

Private Charters

We of course have some beverages on board, but you are welcome to bring your own. Food is welcome too but should be finger or lap style.  Call with your special request and we’ll work to make it happen. Cost is $650 for up to 26 people for two hours. $150 for each additional hour. Charter the whole boat with a Captain and crew for:

Cancellation Policy

We have a 24-hour cancellation policy. Should you need to cancel your reservation or change the number of people in your party, please allow us at least 24 hours’ notice.  If you cancel or change your group size within 24 hours of your scheduled tour time, or do not show up for your tour, you will be charged the full price for the tour. If purchasing in advance, we will gladly refund you as long as you cancel or make adjustments to your reservation at least 24 hours before your tour. In the event that we need to cancel your tour due to weather, you will not be charged.

Wildside Nature Tours has been offering quality birding and wildlife adventures worldwide since 1993. Their group sizes are small (6-8) and they carefully select their accommodations in-country, opting to be as close to wildlife as possible! They look for ways to support local businesses and organizations, many of which are associated with local nature preserves. Their Caribbean specialist is Gabriel Lugo, a native of Puerto Rico, and an expert in the birds of several Caribbean islands, including Cuba, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Trinidad, and of course, Puerto Rico!

Ryan Chenery was born and raised on Barbados and formed Birding the Islands in order to share with the world the phenomenally bio-diverse and breathtakingly beautiful islands where he has birded his whole life - the magical Lesser Antilles. He will get you to the very best sites to see the more than 40 endemic and near-endemic in this part of the Caribbean. You will get close to stunning and often critically endangered endemics like the Whistling Warbler in St. Vincent, the majestic Imperial Parrot in Dominica, the dazzling Purple-throated Carib and bemusing Gray Trembler on St.Lucia, the flame-breasted Montserrat Oriole on the “emerald isle” of Montserrat and rarest of them all, the gentle, unassuming Grenada Dove, still found serenely walking the pathways in the only area of suitable habitat remaining on the spice isle of Grenada.

Carefree Birding’s philosophy is to have fun. Their excursions are slow-paced, physically easy, and fun-filled. On select cruises, they invite expert birding guides to join you. They also arrange birding field trips with local environmental non-profits at each port of call and 100% of the money collected for the tours will go to those local groups. Traveling with someone who is not a birder? No problem! There will be plenty of activities onboard the cruise ship and other shore excursions available to keep everyone happy.

Italian fashion designer Roberto Cavalli has died . He was 83.

“It is with great sadness that today we say our final goodbyes to our founder Roberto Cavalli,” his namesake brand announced in a statement on Instagram Friday.

“From humble beginnings in Florence, Roberto succeeded in becoming a globally recognised name loved and respected by all. Naturally talented and creative, Roberto believed that everyone can discover and nurture the artist within themselves.

“Roberto Cavalli’s legacy will live on via his creativity, his love of nature and via his family who he cherished.”

Cavalli’s cause of death was not immediately shared.

The legendary maximalist was known for his love of bright colors, animal print and bejeweled designs worn by celebrities from Zendaya to Rihanna , Jennifer Lopez, Rita Ora, the Spice Girls and more. His creations included skin-baring designs, embellishments, exotic motifs and all manner of bold accents that made a Cavalli look instantly recognizable.

Cavalli was a fan of the phrase “excess is success” — and the motto was apparent in his work as well as his personal sensibilities, including his purple metallic yacht , among many other cherished items.

He launched his brand in 1970 after studying at the Art Institute of Florence. He later invented and patented his own printing process on leather and quickly opened shop in St. Tropez, where he gained notoriety for his leather goods.

Cavalli shared children Tommaso and Cristina with his first wife, Silvanella Giannoni, whom he married in 1964. Ten years later, the couple divorced.

He was married to pageant queen Eva Maria Düringer — whom he met while serving as a judge at Miss Universe in the Dominican Republic, where she was a contestant — from 1980 until 2010, and the pair share three children: Robert, Rachele and Daniele. Düringer was also a fashion designer and was named creative director of his brand in 1994.

Cavalli had been dating model Sandra Nilsson-Bergman, 38, since 2014, and, earlier this year, she gave birth to his sixth child, Giorgio.

The Italian star’s talents expanded well past clothing, with Cavalli opening up clubs and cafés as well as designing home furnishings like wallpaper, furniture, textiles and more. A penthouse he designed completely was even featured on “The Real Housewives of Orange County” when Heather and Terry Dubrow purchased the $14 million Los Angeles property — the first Cavalli had ever done in the United States — in an episode of the Bravo show last year.

He also penned an autobiography called “Just Me!” in 2014, discussing the hardships of his life and his rags to riches story.

In 2015, as Cavalli slowly exited the fashion industry, selling a majority stake in the eponymous brand and giving up creative control, Peter Dundas was named creative director and was succeeded by Paul Surridge in 2017 . In 2020, Sicilian star Fausto Puglisi took over the collections.

Puglisi honored Cavalli on Instagram, writing, “Dear Roberto, you may not be physically here with us anymore but I know I will feel your spirit with me always. It is the greatest honour of my career to work under your legacy and to create for the brand you founded with such vision and style.

“Rest in peace you will be missed and you are loved by so many that your name will continue on, a beacon of inspiration for others, and especially for me.”

Ordinary hop-on-hop-off bus tickets are entitled to group savings. Attractions, pass items and combo tickets aren't.

Due the nature of this type of tour and varying demand, group travellers should be aware that there is no guarantee that the group will be able to travel altogether as the available seats vary from stop to stop and depends on demand each day. The group may need to split up and/or wait for the next bus(s).

As, we cannot guarantee that the group shall be able to travel together as one group, therefore we will reduce the group size down to 4-5 smaller groups per ticket (depending upon group size).
