“I had to save a lot of money because I wanted very much to go on this journey with my friends. We planned our trip to take us around Europe. We were going to stop in various parts of Europe with family members and friends.”

The essay mimics Pittman’s travel itinerary during her journey in Europe. She includes all the trip details from the first to the last day and makes the readers feel as if they’re traveling with them. Pittman also offers some travel tips to help anyone who wants to visit Europe on a budget. These tips include staying with friends and relatives and taking comfortable train rides despite long distances.

“With proper planning, everything else seems effortless. You need to consider all factors when planning in order for you to enjoy a successful, stress-free adventure.”

The author believes that the primary purpose of traveling is to relax and have fun. They use the essay to teach how to plan car trips properly. Travelers must learn to budget and estimate expenses, including accommodation, gas, activities, and food. Picking a transportation means is also crucial as one needs to consider factors such as capacity, range, and utility.

“Although things didn’t go how I planned I’m still in college bettering myself and furthering my education. Anything is possible with a good support system and positive mindset.”

The essay narrates how the author’s journey into adulthood becomes a mini-vacation in Georgia after their top university rejects their enrollment. Ultimately, the author receives a full scholarship to a university closer to home.

“All people have the same journey to take – their life. As well as in the other journeys, there may be some inconveniences, disappointments and joys, and a lot depends on how we plan this particular journey and what attitude we develop towards it.”

In this essay, the writer shares that the best way to go on a life journey is with the most joy and minor damage you can endure. It’s constant work to continuously improve one’s life while developing positive qualities and thinking. But in doing so, you’ll have a solid foundation to achieve what you want out of life. However, the author still reminds the readers that they should always be ready to face unexpected events and deal with them in the best way possible.

“These days, people prefer traveling via airplanes because it is time-saving. But going by plane gets boring and monotonous. Train journeys are a relief from the monotony.”

For Prasanna, whether it’s a short or extended tour, a train journey offers an exciting travel experience. She talks about the local and regional trains in India, which are often overcrowded but still used by many as they are the cheapest, safest, and fastest mode of transport in the country. She also mentions that you’ll never get hungry when riding their local trains because of the vendors who sell Indian delicacies.

7 Prompts for Essays About Journeys

Essays About Journeys: Reasons to go on a journey

Everyone has different motives for traveling. Some go on a journey to appreciate beautiful sceneries, while some move to attend family or work-related gatherings. Some do so to run away from problems. For this prompt, research the common reasons to travel. You can also interview people on why they go on a journey and add any personal experiences.

It’s a trip when a person travels from one point to another without any transfers. Meanwhile, a journey is a more extended voyage that includes transfers and several trips. Compare and contrast trips and journeys to make your readers understand their similarities and differences. You can also have the advantages and disadvantages of each in your paper.

If writing an essay sounds like a lot of work, simplify it. Write a simple 5 paragraph essay instead.

The idea of having a long journey and discovering new things is exciting. However, the excitement can disappear when you’re far away from home. This is especially true for longer and farther travels. This prompt will help readers have a safer, more affordable, and more enjoyable trip by discussing the best long-distance travel tips. You can present an imaginary itinerary with estimated costs to make the essay more digestible.

Write about an unforgettable journey you’ve had through this prompt. Include the purpose of your travel, how you planned it, and if your timetable was followed. Share what you’ll improve on next time to make your journey even better; you can also talk about your companions and the activities that make the adventure worthwhile.

Journeys become meaningful when they enrich lives. It can be because of the destination, the people you are with, or the travel’s goal. Use this prompt to suggest how journeys improve us as humans. You can section your piece based on an individual’s objectives. For example, someone who wants to recharge and get away from the city will find meaning in going to a location far from technology.

Essays About Journeys: My dream journey

Although traveling can be tiring, 43% of travelers appreciate the experience they gain. Think of journeys you desire to be in and add your reasons. Then, you can share your plan on how to make it happen. For instance, you want to tour Southeast Asia and visit countries like the Philippines, Vietnam, and Thailand. To make this dream journey come true, you’ll save for an entire year and work around a tight budget.

It’s normal to see the main character in a movie or novel go through a character arc before they become a true hero. Use this prompt to explain a hero’s journey and why the character must go through it. To give you an idea, Peter Parker was a shy and introverted kid who lived an everyday life before becoming Spider-Man. This makes him relatable to the audience and lets them understand his decisions in the following scenes.

You can also talk about real-life heroes, such as doctors and firefighters. Interview someone with that profession and ask them why they decided to have their current career.

My Adventurous Trip Essay Example 1

Traveling is one of the most exciting experiences one can have in life. It allows us to explore new places, meet different people, and create unforgettable memories. My recent adventurous trip was one such experience that I will cherish for a lifetime. The trip involved hiking through a dense forest, crossing a river, and reaching the summit of a mountain, where I enjoyed a breathtaking view. Despite facing challenges such as unpredictable weather and rough terrain, the trip was a memorable and rewarding experience. In this essay, I will share my experience of this adventurous trip, highlighting the challenges, the exhilarating moments, and the memories that I will cherish forever.

Our trip started with hiking through a dense forest. The forest was full of tall trees, colorful flowers, and chirping birds. The trail was steep and rocky, and we had to be careful while walking. The forest was so dense that we could hardly see the sun, and the air was full of freshness. We had to take breaks in between to catch our breath and hydrate ourselves. As we walked, we could hear the sound of a river, and after a few hours of hiking, we finally reached the river. The river was wide and had a strong current, and we had to cross it to continue our journey. We had to be careful while crossing the river, and we held hands to maintain our balance. The water was cold, and we could feel the current pushing us, but we made it to the other side, feeling proud of ourselves.

The highlight of our trip was reaching the summit of the mountain. The climb was steep and exhausting, but the view from the top was worth every effort. From the top of the mountain, we could see the entire valley, and it was a sight to behold. The sky was clear, and the sun was shining brightly, making the view even more beautiful. We took pictures and sat there for a while, enjoying the serene beauty of nature. We could hear the sound of birds and feel the cool breeze on our faces. It was a moment of pure bliss, and we felt grateful for being able to witness such a beautiful view.

Despite facing challenges such as unpredictable weather and rough terrain, the trip was a memorable and rewarding experience. We had to face unexpected rain and strong winds, which made the climb more challenging. We slipped a few times, but we managed to keep going, motivated by the thought of reaching the summit. The journey was long and tiring, but the memories we created were worth it. We bonded with our fellow travelers, shared laughter, and created memories that we will cherish forever. The trip taught us to be resilient, to push ourselves beyond our limits, and to appreciate the beauty of nature.

In conclusion, my adventurous trip was an unforgettable experience that allowed me to explore the beauty of nature, push my limits, and create memories that I will cherish forever. Hiking through a dense forest, crossing a river, and reaching the summit of a mountain were challenging but rewarding experiences. Despite facing unpredictable weather and rough terrain, we persevered and created memories that will stay with us for a lifetime. The trip taught us the importance of resilience, perseverance, and appreciation for the beauty of nature. It was an experience that I will always treasure and would love to relive again.

My Adventurous Trip Essay Example 2

My adventurous trip was an experience of a lifetime. It was a chance for me to step out of my comfort zone and explore the great outdoors. The trip was filled with activities such as hiking, camping, and kayaking. The beautiful scenery and wildlife sightings made the trip memorable. Overcoming challenges such as inclement weather and physical exertion added to the sense of accomplishment and adventure. In this essay, I will share my experiences of this unforgettable trip.

Hiking was one of the most exciting activities of the trip. We started our hike early in the morning, and the trail was challenging, but the view was worth it. The trail led us through dense forests, and we saw wildflowers, butterflies, and birds along the way. We stopped for a break at a small waterfall, and the sound of the water was soothing. As we continued our hike, we came across a steep incline, which was physically demanding, but we pushed on. At the peak, we were rewarded with an incredible view of the valley below. The sense of accomplishment we felt after completing the hike was indescribable.

Camping was another activity that added to the adventure of the trip. We set up our tents near a lake, and the view was breathtaking. We spent the night sitting around a campfire, roasting marshmallows, and sharing stories. The night sky was clear, and we saw countless stars, which was a beautiful sight. The next morning, we woke up early to go kayaking on the lake. The water was calm, and we saw fish jumping out of the water. We even saw a family of ducks swimming nearby. Kayaking was a peaceful and relaxing experience.

The trip was not without its challenges, however. We faced inclement weather during our kayaking, and it was physically demanding. The waves were strong, and the water was choppy. We had to navigate our kayaks through the waves carefully. At times, it was nerve-wracking, but we were able to push through and complete the activity. Overcoming these challenges added to the sense of adventure and accomplishment.

In conclusion, my adventurous trip was an experience that I will cherish forever. The activities such as hiking, camping, and kayaking, the beautiful scenery and wildlife sightings, and the challenges we faced made the trip unforgettable. It was an opportunity for me to step out of my comfort zone, explore the great outdoors, and create memories with friends. I hope to have more opportunities like this in the future.

My Adventurous Trip Essay Example 3

Going on an adventurous trip is an experience that many people crave. It is an opportunity to explore new destinations, push oneself to the limit, and create unforgettable memories. I recently had the chance to embark on one such journey, and it was an experience that I will never forget. My adventurous trip involved hiking through a dense forest to reach a remote waterfall. Along the way, I encountered challenging terrain and had to navigate through rough terrain. Despite the difficulties, the stunning views and sense of accomplishment made the trip a truly unforgettable adventure. In this essay, I will describe my trip in detail, highlighting the challenges and the rewards that came with it.

The first part of my adventurous trip involved hiking through a dense forest to reach a remote waterfall. The trail was not well-marked, and the terrain was challenging, consisting of steep inclines, muddy patches, and slippery rocks. The dense foliage made it difficult to see the path ahead, and we had to rely on our instincts and map reading skills to find our way through. The forest was alive with the sounds of birds and small animals, and the air was fresh and invigorating. As we got closer to our destination, the sound of rushing water became louder, and we knew we were getting close. Finally, after several hours of hiking, we arrived at the waterfall, and the sight before us was breathtaking. The waterfall was a powerful force of nature, cascading down from a height of over 100 feet. The water was crystal clear, and the surrounding rocks were covered in moss and ferns. It was a sight that made all the hiking and exertion worth it.

The second part of my adventurous trip involved navigating through rough terrain. The terrain was rocky and uneven, and we had to be careful not to slip or fall. At some points, the trail was so steep that we had to use ropes to climb up or down. The weather was also unpredictable, and we had to be prepared for sudden rain or wind. Despite the challenges, the sense of adventure and excitement kept us going. We were a group of friends, and we encouraged and supported each other along the way. We shared food and water, helped each other over difficult patches, and cheered each other on when we reached a milestone. The journey was not just about reaching the destination; it was also about the bonds we formed and the memories we created.

The final part of my adventurous trip was the sense of accomplishment that came with it. After several hours of hiking, navigating challenging terrain, and enduring unpredictable weather, we finally reached our destination. The feeling of standing in front of the waterfall, surrounded by the beauty of nature, was indescribable. It was a sense of accomplishment that came from pushing ourselves beyond our limits, from facing our fears and overcoming them. We took pictures, laughed, and savored the moment. It was a feeling that stayed with us long after the trip was over. The adventurous trip was not just a physical journey; it was also a journey of the mind and the spirit.

In conclusion, my adventurous trip was an experience that I will never forget. It involved hiking through a dense forest to reach a remote waterfall, navigating through rough terrain, and the sense of accomplishment that came with it. The trip was challenging, but it was also rewarding. It reminded me of the beauty of nature, the importance of perseverance, and the power of friendship. It was an experience that taught me to appreciate the simple things in life and to embrace the adventure that comes with it.

An Unforgettable Trip Essay

My most unforgettable Trip occurred about 3 years ago during the summer vacation, when I and my sister were embarking on our journey to Spain due to relocation. The day of the trip I laid in bed thinking about the friends of mine whom I was going to leave behind. Thoughts kept coming in. A night before we planned the journey from a city in Nigeria to the capital to catch the plane the next day. We didn’t book to take a van.

So thought of waking earlier to get to the station were they hire cars and taxis for travelling because we could drive down due to the far distance. So the day came when we had to travel and got to the station as planned.

When we arrived at the hire station we seemed to have some problems with our luggage because they were too much for a car our taxi so we had to book for a van to be able to take our luggage.

We waited for a long period of time to find the perfect car that would fit our luggage but they seemed to too small or parked up. My aunty who was going to accompanied me and my sister to the airport got so angry because she tend to get very hot tempered because we didn’t have a very long period of time to waste before our plane could take off because the journey from were we where to the airport was about 3 hours long.

Write An Essay About My Trip

And we had to be their before 7pm. It was about 12pm we hungry so we went for food everyone looking frustrated at the time hoping we leave soon. We where about to leave to another hire company when they assigned us to the perfect van that could take us to the place and fit our entire luggage. Before leaving we had to pray, and I felt very bad because I was going to a different country and was going to miss all my friends and family. I was not comfortable and I cried and wished I never moved. I then got used to the fact that I could come and visit them often and call them.

So we took some pictures and we where very happy. The journey was almost perfect but they rain started and it was extremely heavy the drivers driving couldn’t see as far due to the rain and that caused a huge traffic jam. I was sitting close to the window with my can of coke and eating my lunch which I had purchased earlier on from the shop. My aunty and my sister fell asleep. During that time I was bored and thinking about other things that were bothering me. My eyes moved into seeing the hill at were in font of us.

A bus suddenly came into the picture and which was very close to us. Every car speeding by passing, no limit what so ever. At my side I could say lakes which were very deep inside: I wondered to myself ‘what if something someone fell in side it’ Then suddenly the bus that was in front of our van suddenly stopped, due to the rain and the speed those cars where taking no one could see what was going to happen and, ‘Boom’ we smashed into each other. Our car tumbled and we were in luck that the car didn’t stumble into the lake.

People came across to help us get out of the car because we where stocked and the driver was half dead. We struggled to get out of the car and our entire luggage went lost. Everything was very strange; I had never had that kind of experience before. It was like watching a horror movie. Some people who also participated in the accident started crying, looking for their children, tears beginning to increase, and my leg was deeply injured, my aunty was seeking some help, and my sister was full of injury.

It almost seemed that the strategy was never going to end. It felt that I was dreaming and was confused. I was losing a lot of blood and then the emergency aid came and took me and some other people to the hospital where we where treated. We had to pay for some fees but someone came to our aid and did the payments. That was miraculous because we didn’t have any money on our hands. We finally got to where we where headed to. And rested but didn’t miss our flight. We were happy that we made it through because someone could have lost their life.

  • Think of the Experience: Take some time to seriously consider your big event and how it has affected your life. Think about the feelings, difficulties, and lessons you’ve learnt. Ask yourself why it was important and how it influenced your development, principles, or goals.
  • Create a Main Theme: Decide on a main idea or statement that best captures the spirit of your memorable event. Your essay’s central subject will act as its compass and aid in giving it cohesion and focus. It could involve fortitude, sympathy, internal change, or any other pertinent quality.
  • Create a Captivating Introduction: Your essay should begin with a strong introduction that captures the reader’s interest. You can utilise anecdotes, challenging questions, or evocative descriptions to create the scene and entice the reader into your tale. Indicate the experience’s importance and its main subject in clear terms.
  • Give Context: Give the reader adequate background information to enable them to comprehend the setting of your noteworthy event. Give details about the situation’s surroundings, participants, and any other pertinent information.

However, I knew that confronting this fear was crucial for my personal growth and future success.

To tackle my fear, I enrolled in a public speaking course and made a commitment to work through it. I finally conquered my fear through constant practice, preparation, and determination, delivering polished and confident presentations. The experience taught me the importance of stepping out of my comfort zone and the value of hard work.

Key Takeaways:

  • Conquering one’s fears can lead to self-improvement and personal growth.
  • Hard work and dedication can yield great results.

Example 2: Finding My Passion for Community Service

While in college, I was constantly searching for opportunities to make a difference in the community. Then, I stumbled upon a local non-profit organization whose mission was to assist underprivileged youth. After signing up to volunteer, I was immediately struck by the children’s joy and enthusiasm, and I knew right then that community service was my passion.

Over time, I became more involved with the organization and even started my own initiative to raise funds and awareness for their cause. Through this experience, I learned the power of community service and how helping others can bring meaning and fulfilment to one’s life.

  • Finding one’s passion and purpose is crucial for personal fulfilment.
  • Assisting others brings happiness to both the helper and the beneficiaries.

Example 3: Getting through Adversity

Unexpected difficulties and barriers might come along in life, and how we respond to them shapes who we are. In my instance, I had to step up and assume additional obligations due to a challenging family circumstance. Initially, I felt overwhelmed and unsure, but I knew I had to get the courage to keep going. I was able to conquer these obstacles with courage and dedication, coming out stronger and more resilient than before. This incident taught me the value of tenacity and the necessity of depending on our inner strength while facing challenges.

Key conclusions

  • We can be defined by how we respond to hardship.
  • The importance of tenacity and inner fortitude.

Summing It Up

To sum up, the “significant experience” essay prompts offer a potent forum for people to consider and discuss the pivotal events that have affected their life. Through this introspective practice, one develops self-awareness, clarity of purpose, and a better comprehension of their values and ambitions. These pieces promote self-improvement, resiliency, and the cultivation of a growth mindset. People can engage with others, arouse empathy, and create lasting connections by creating fascinating tales around these important experiences. Here is an example of a college essay question that demands you discuss challenges and how you overcame them:

“Describe a significant hardship or obstacle you have faced in your life. How did you confront and overcome it? What did you learn from this experience, and how has it shaped you as an individual?”

  Essay Answer:

I can clearly remember the heartbreaking day my family learned of my father’s cancer diagnosis. We were surprised and terrified as the word resonated across the space. Our lives were abruptly flipped upside down, and the difficulties we encountered felt insurmountable. But this struggle turned into a turning point that put my fortitude to the test, gave me priceless life lessons, and helped me become the person I am today.

I had to stand strong for my family while we dealt with my father’s illness. I assumed obligations that were above my years, helping with housework, scheduling appointments, and offering emotional support. It was difficult to juggle my academic obligations with my newly acquired duties, but I refused to let my situation define who I was. I turned to my passion for studying for comfort, utilising it as a way to manage my emotions and keep things in perspective.

A mindset change was necessary to overcome this adversity. I chose to concentrate on our happy and grateful times rather than dwell on the bad. I came to understand how crucial it is to treasure each special moment and look for the positive aspects of even the most trying circumstances. With this new perspective, I was able to develop resilience because I approached each obstacle with tenacity and a firm conviction that we could conquer it.

My father’s sickness taught me the value of compassion and empathy. Seeing his fortitude and bravery in the face of suffering motivated me to be compassionate to those going through similar struggles. I started a support group at my school to offer a secure environment for kids going through various difficulties. My grasp of the human experience has grown due to this event, and I now desire to guide people through their own difficulties.

The journey we went on together as a family taught me the importance of harmony and unwavering love. In the course of supporting one another through the highs and lows of the treatment process, we developed an unbreakable friendship. My mother became my pillar of strength, exhibiting unflinching fortitude and giving me the conviction that love and support could overcome even the most difficult challenges.

This struggle has completely changed who I am. I’ve come out with a greater capacity for empathy, a fortitude that helps me move ahead, and a profound understanding of how fleeting life is. Additionally, having personally seen the positive effects of caring and committed professionals on the lives of patients and their families has strengthened my desire to pursue a career in healthcare.

This well-written essay answer shows how the student encountered a huge challenge, overcame it with tenacity and persistence, gained important lessons, and was moulded by the encounter. It demonstrates the growth and development that resulted from conquering the challenge by incorporating personal tales, thoughts, and a link to future objectives. When replying to a similar prompt, keep in mind that your essay should reflect your individual experiences and writing style.

A Short and Eventful Journey on the Inscribe Writer's Programme

an eventful journey essay

I can scarcely believe it was almost eight months ago, on a cold, dark December day when I made a trip I wasn't sure about. I was waist-deep in boxes, packing up my house to move. And the following day I was going travelling for two weeks. Feeling emotional and frazzled, it wasn't the best time for a Christmas party. But then being freelance, I don't often get invitations to these. So I thought, why not?

I arrived at Peepal Tree's office in Leeds and headed upstairs, ushered in by Hannah . The familiar face of Dorothea creased in a smile and I got a wave from Adam , who I knew from attending a few workshops. The rest of the small group were strangers to me. I wondered if I'd made a mistake coming, as the assembled writers and publishers were chatting comfortably and tucking into the nibbles on the table. Half an hour, I thought. So I got a drink and sat down. Introductions were made and I realised the man opposite me was Jacob Ross . I'd devoured his book The Bone Readers of which I'd been given a copy to read for an upcoming workshop with the author. I was going to be away for the workshop, so I was delighted I had Jacob right there. We had a stimulating time discussing the feminist tone of the book, the influences which had led to the feminism, the characters in the book, and the choices the author and characters made as the story unfolded.

I chatted to some of the others and around six o' clock, having had an absolutely lovely time, said my goodbyes. As I gave Dorothea a hug, she said she would be seeing more of me. I was mystified until she explained that the programme managers had decided to take me on for the Inscribe Writers Programme. I started spouting gibberish along the lines that I would work hard, that I wouldn't let them down and that they wouldn't regret taking me on. Dorothea reassured me with a big smile and still in a daze I left the building, just about managing to drive to my friend's to share the news.

In February 2017, I came along to the Annual Inscribe Writers' day feeling very proud to be part of the programme. Kei Miller was there as guest speaker. I thought we would probably write at some point of the day. But Kei had other plans. He spoke with fire about a controversial article ridiculing a gay man. Kei had written a counter to it on his blog and had had a few run-ins with the author of the article since. Under other circumstances, I would have thought that this was a conversation for half an hour at the most. (Notice my favourite time span!) But we spent the entire morning debating and discussing all the facets of the issue, the psychology on both sides of the picture, the writer and the written about, and of course the responsibility every writer carries towards their subject and the world at large. We have a calling to speak up about injustice and shine a light on things that need to change. We will not be silent bystanders on political, social or economic topics. Kei left no doubt about that!

This energising opening gambit of the programme was followed by another challenging workshop a couple of months later. Nick Makoha talking about writing the 'Metic' experience. I reached for Google to look up the meaning of the word, only to see Nick had helpfully provided the definition on the event description. Nick started by letting us rifle through his belongings to build trust. He asked us to think about all the places we belonged to. Then he demanded that each of us write six poems over the next three months about our experiences as displaced people, people who had made journeys through their ancestors, and by themselves, to end up living where we were now. I hate to admit I haven't written the poems as yet, but I have written other ones, and I've incorporated the concepts into my novel-in-progress. One day those Metic poems will rise to the surface from under the bedrock.

In June, I went to the Debden Centre in its idyllic setting in Epping. Jacob Ross was supposed to run part of the Crafting Fiction weekend, but to my great disappointment it didn't work out. Instead, we had Romesh Gunasekara . Booker-nominated Romesh, whose books I hadn't read (is there no end to my ignorance?) looked very much the writer with his shock of salt and pepper hair, linen jacket and faraway look in his eyes. Within minutes he had the room eating out of his hands, and with each exercise he got us all furiously scribbling away. Cracking a whip of velvet! Romesh was kind enough to listen to my (brief) rant about the pressure on the first thirty pages for an unpublished novelist. And I laughed out loud in recognition at a comment he made about the start of his writer's journey. For years he'd been frustrated that nothing was happening in terms of writing success, until he realised nothing would happen unless he made it happen. Romesh had articulated in almost the exact words a feeling I'd had a few years ago before I came to the very same conclusion. How life follows arcs just like characters in a satisfying story!

Of course, I've since been to a Jacob Ross workshop at one of the monthly meetings run by Inscribe in Leeds. There was more whip than velvet on that, but I loved every minute of it. Now I wonder what next? Which other fabulous writers will I get to pick up pearls from? I look ahead with excitement and am so grateful for the opportunity. I realise this all sounds very gushing. But I've never met a bunch of more talented, committed, humble, warm and funny people. They put so much work and heart into progressing the writers under their care, it's incredible. All I can say is thank you Inscribe and Peepal Tree Press!

How to Write a Narrative Essay on Your Last Journey

How to Write a Narrative Essay on Your Last Journey

A narrative essay on a journey is an exciting chance to express yourself and reflect on your last trip’s adventures. This writing can be approached from various angles and may be experiential, anecdotal, or personal. If you haven’t written such papers, we encourage you to explore the following steps to create an appealing and captivating narrative essay easily.

Brainstorm About Your Journey

First, you need to consider what information you will include in your writing and recall your last journey, especially if it was long ago.

● Think of the event by simply closing your eyes. You can use a voice recorder on your phone to catch your thoughts or write down your memories after the reflection session. Think about your feelings, key events, lessons learned, etc.

● Try to refresh memories from your last journey by reviewing photos you’ve made or videos you have taken to remember details, events, locations, and other meaningful details that will improve your narrative quality.

● Read more information for inspiration. Look at what other travelers say about the location you have visited, gain more general information (like the history of the place), and read articles related to the place you have seen.

Experiment with Writing Tools

To bring your writing to the next level and speed up the writing process, you can use ChatGPT or another free AI generator to develop some fresh ideas for your essay, but don’t forget to write the draft yourself to avoid plagiarism. Also, you can try an essay writing service like essayshark.com and get a totally unique narrative essay from professional writers according to your instructions.

How to Write a Narrative Essay on Your Last Journey

Decide on the Narrative Type

In fact, you can develop the story about your last journey in various ways. You can describe your journey in a classical way and describe events chronologically. Or maybe you wish to focus on the journey’s particular moment or theme? Consider which approach will clearly express everything you want to discuss in your essay.

● Chronological type. It lets the reader experience your journey from start to end and gives a sense of an unfolding story.

● Reflective type. Choose this type if you wish to share your emotions and personal transformation experience through your journey.

● Descriptive type. Let the reader clearly imagine the picture of sightseeing and locations you have visited. Use vibrant and sensory descriptions to achieve the goal.

● Thematic type. A great option if you wish to talk about personal growth, relationships, environmental awareness, cultural diversity, and other themes of self-discovery through your journey.

● Flashback narrative. Suppose you wish to talk about the most captivating and exciting events. In that case, you can use this type of narrative to focus on various moments without sticking to the chronology of the events.

● Literary narrative. For this type, you will need to use literary devices such as allegory, metaphor imagery, personification, etc. For example, you can compare the journey to the mountains to the visit to ancient giants that have seen a lot during their existence.

Depending on the writing goals you wish to achieve and the tastes of your audience, you can mix the narrative types to give the reader more depth about your journey experience.

Create an Outline

Write all the points about your journey you wish to write about in your essay. Consider that the narrative should have an introduction, a body paragraph with a climax or turning point, and a conclusion. This approach will allow you to express your thoughts and consider all ideas effectively. Use a mind-map service to fill in the boxes of your points and logically tie them down to the core idea of the essay. Remember to stick to the narrative type you have chosen. an eventful journey essay

Think About an Interesting Introduction

As you are writing a narrative essay, which refers more to personal writing, you have many options to choose from. You can start with a captivating description of the place you have visited, focus on the emotions, tell an anecdote that has happened during your journey, dialogue, fact, or a topic-related question.

For example:

“In the ancient ruins and breathtaking sense of history, a voice of fresh wind invited me to explore the new path. I sensed the whisper of old stones and something unknown to explore with every step. I already knew that this journey would reveal the old city’s mysteries and reveal secrets of my own soul.”

Write the First Draft and Proofread It

Write the text freely as your thoughts flow. Consider the outline, add sensory details , share your emotions, and focus on your experience. Forget about perfection and add as many details as you can to allow the reader to immerse into your journey. When you put the last word in your essay, leave it for some time to refresh your mind. Use a grammar checker and reread the text to fix the main mistakes. Cut unnecessary detail, rewrite some sections, and improve the narrative’s logical flow if needed.

Writing a narrative essay on your last journey allows you to immerse in memories and reflect on your past experiences. By creating a vivid picture for the reader, you start thinking about your trip from various angles and how it has influenced you personally. Combine narrative types, and intervene with your personal reflections and facts to write a compelling and engaging narrative essay.

The Best Journey of My Life

There is nothing better than the emotions and feelings one can receive from setting out on an adventure. Journeys help us to forget about our everyday issues. That is why I want to tell you about the best journey of my life.

It started at home as I began to pack items for a journey. I was excited because my parents and I were going to Thailand, the most interesting place to me. I could not imagine what it would be like.

The first experience we had when we got out of the plane to enter Thailand was the tropical, wet, hot air that permeated the environment. We arrived at our hotel on the south of Phuket Island. Beauty seemed to be all around us. From the one side of the road there was the lush greenery of the tropical forest, from the other there were turquoise waves of the Andaman Sea.

We decided to spend our first days on a cozy seacoast and take a rest from a tiresome trip. The weather was wonderful. The sun was shining and the water was so warm, placid and limpid that we could see our shadows in it. I had the impression nothing else existed in this world besides us, nor the cares of everyday life nor urban fuss. We were enjoying every minute of our rest, slowly sipping coconut milk through a tube straight out of a coconut. The days were changing from one to another with new, bright, unforgettable emotions and impressions.

We wanted to pass one day away on motorbikes, studying the island. Our trip took a whole day and we managed to bike the half of the island riding along the coast. The views we saw on our journey showed us another side of local life. People were in a hurry going to work or attending other business. The traffic in Thailand is extremely busy and noisy. A lot of people ride motorbikes, which is a distinguishing feature of Thailand.

All the way long, we made breaks to taste the delicacies of the local cuisine in snack bars. I enjoyed Thai food immensely with its extraordinary combination of sweet, sour, and spicy flavors. Sometimes the dishes were so spicy, that tears streamed from my eyes.

We also decided to diversify a bit, and go to less touristic parts of the island. Our island was covered by steep hills. The picturesque view of the tropical jungles and endless spaces of the sea with many adjoining islands, and the beauty and splendor of local nature was opened to us. I was overfilled with the sense of infinite freedom and peace of mind. There was the impression that nothing is necessary in life except this place and moment.

It was a truly sad realization when we knew we had to travel back home. The whirlwind of emotions and feelings swept over my mind: this is completely another world, with its climate, people, food, traditions, and customs that charm and dip you in the extraordinary atmosphere of calmness and composure. I remember it now with freshness and understand that it was the best journey of my life.

Essay on “The Most Eventful Day in My Life” Complete Essay, Paragraph, Speech for Class 10, Class 12 and Graduation and other classes.

The Most Eventful Day in My Life

No other day in my life was more eventful than the one on which I was to go abroad for the first time. I reached Delhi, from where I was to fly, early in the morning that day, and as my flight was scheduled for late afternoon, decided to put myself up at a hotel until then. I left the hotel a while after I had checked in, to spend sometime in the city. Though it was the morning rush hour, with all the city-bound buses crowded, I was lucky to get a rear seat in one of them.

No sooner did the bus travel a few hundred meters, than a loud sound was heard near the engine. Almost simultaneously, the front portion of the bus blew off. The passengers near the driver’s cabin were thrown off their seats even before they could realize what was happening. I assumed. in the nick of time, that the sound was due to a bomb explosion, and with presence of mind, opened the door of the emergency exit which was behind me. Though the door was opened within a few seconds of the blast, a number of passengers has already reached it to jump out. I could feel the passengers pushing my back, trying to make way for their escape. With many passengers crowded around me, all of them waiting to jump out at the same time, it was very difficult for me to make my way out.

A little later, the push from behind gained enough strength to eject me and a few other passengers on to the road beneath. Though I fell a few feet, and a couple of others piled over me soon afterwards, I was not, quite surprisingly, seriously injured. I fell on my side with my left arm beneath me; but except for a few bruises on my forearm and a pulled shoulder muscle, I was quite unhurt.

A few of us who were less hurt, broke open the window panes with stones to let more passengers escape. The exercise continued until all the trapped passengers had been rescued. It was gratifying at the end to note that, except for a few who suffered bruises, all the others escaped without injuries, Meanwhile, people from nearby houses joined in the rescue work and they arranged vehicles to send those injured to hospitals. I too, despite my stiff shoulder, stayed on at the scene, contributing my bit-to the effort. Though not seriously injured, I was badly shaken by the incident, and for a while, even forget about my more important journey that was to follow later in the day.

A brief rest in the hotel room helped me re-cover from my shoulder injury as well as revive my enthusiasm for the important journey ahead. My mood was quite buoyant when I was airborne on my maiden overseas journey. However, after flying for nearly an hour, the pilot received a bomb threat, which made him return to Delhi. For me it was the second time in a few hours that I had come face to face with weird adventure and possible death. But since nothing happened well after the aircraft started its return, the passengers’ stress started easing. Many passengers, in fact, seemed cheerful.

However, we were in for a rude shock while the plane was preparing to land. The pilot announced that the tyres of the aircraft had burst and that everyone was to prepare for an emergency landing. Real panic broke loose after the announcement, but none could afford to be hysterical. We were given last-minute instructions on how to escape through the chutes after the plane touched the ground. The rumbling noise of the aircraft landing on its belly was the indication that the moment of truth had arrived. It was also a signal to us to move to the exit doors. Through the exits that automatically opened into the chutes, the entire complement of passengers, numbering over three hundred, were evacuated within seconds, with none of them suffering even a mild scratch. All of us were thankful to the crew for having arranged our escape most efficiently, and to God for our good fortune. We were too excited and dazed to express anger when we came to know later that the threat was a hoax. But, lying in bed in my hotel room, later in the day, I could not help wondering how it was possible to ward off two close calls of deaths within a period of a few hours.

How To Write the Meaningful Activity Essay for Princeton

This article was written based on the information and opinions presented by Elias Miller in a CollegeVine livestream. You can watch the full livestream for more info.

What’s Covered:

Structuring the essay, showing personal growth, what to avoid.

Are you interested in Princeton University ? The college requires a few supplemental essays, and while the prompts may seem simple, you could find yourself stumped when it comes time to write. You also have very limited space you can use to express yourself. This article will help you figure out how to plan an essay about a meaningful experience and offer some tips about the writing process.

This prompt asks you to elaborate on an activity, organization, work experience, or hobby that has been particularly meaningful to you. With a word limit of 150, you may not have enough space to say all that you want to, so you should try to find a targeted story or angle.

When you’re planning this essay , you should keep the shortness of the piece in mind. Only 150 words probably isn’t enough to describe an experience or pastime to the fullest extent. You need to formulate a precise approach that lets you convey as much emotion as possible, along with your personal voice and a few specific details that let the piece come to life.

Although you don’t have many words available to you, you still need to write multiple paragraphs. One long paragraph makes your essay look shorter and cramped, and the reader won’t want to engage with it as much as they would multiple paragraphs. Three or even two paragraphs let the reader see a fleshed-out narrative much more clearly. Admissions officers often don’t view single paragraphs as very appealing, so don’t write only one.

If you’re struggling to come up with an idea, keep the word “meaningful” in mind. Figuring out what’s meaningful to you will let you respond to this prompt thoughtfully and in a way that will resonate with your admissions officers.

Once you have an idea in mind, you should get right into it. You can include enough details about the setting to provide your reader with context, so don’t waste the word count. You have to pack in as much action as possible into a short space, so avoid unnecessary background information or explanations. You should be trying to tell a story. Jump right into where the story begins.

While you don’t want to make the entire essay about how you’ve grown and changed, writing about how this experience has shaped you makes for a more compelling narrative.

You want to make the person reading your essay root for you. You should consider starting with a moment of failure or doubt. Because pretty much everyone has messed up at some point or another, this kind of scene provides a good, relatable emotional hook for the reader. Think about sports movies: the protagonist often begins by falling on their face or struggling in some way, only to overcome the odds in the end. Working past these devastating moments makes for a more compelling narrative than writing about something that’s always come easily to you.

This can also help to highlight why the activity is meaningful to you—you’ve had to work past difficulties. It gives an admissions committee better insight into your experiences and how you’ve grown.

You don’t even need to pick an activity where you’ve accomplished a lot. While you would ideally have success in something meaningful to you, and that you’re very passionate about, you sometimes have the most profound experiences in something that you’re not naturally good at. It’s totally fine if you’re not super impressive in the activity you selected. What matters is capturing exactly why it has meant a lot to you.

Don’t Restate Your Resume

While it might be tempting to use this essay as an opportunity to share your many accomplishments, you should avoid writing a list of experiences or extracurricular activities. This doesn’t single out anything particularly meaningful. It also can read like a resume. Admissions officers already see your Common App resume , so you don’t want to write about a lot of different activities.

If you’ve won some awards and want to write about how that came to be, you should work to avoid sounding braggy. Maybe you led a benefit dance or held a major position in the National Honor Society. Maybe you made varsity and led your team to a championship victory. All of that is excellent, and it’s fine to write about it. But you don’t want to focus on how impressive other people might find it. Ask yourself: What did you gain from that experience? How did you work to make it happen?

Focus on the Journey

You have to show why all the work you did paid off, and you have to put emotion behind your writing. Try to focus on your feelings, and how you grew from it all. Rather than writing about the moment of success, emphasize the long nights and the early mornings. Draw on specific scenes and emotions to ground your essay in something real.

College essays, including this one, show an admissions committee who you are—what you stand for, how you’ve grown, and how you express yourself. This essay should help to remind you of what work you find meaningful. Just go from there, and the rest will follow.

I have always been an avid supporter of train journeys. My involvement with train journeys began in childhood . I live in Lucknow and from here I have undertaken many train journeys. Furthermore, since childhood, I have paid several visits to the hill station of Almora to meet my relatives. Almora is a hill station located in the state of Uttarakhand. Most noteworthy, Almora is situated in the Himalayan mountain region. Due to this, trains cannot travel directly to Almora. As the train undergoes motion and leaves the Lucknow railway station, my excitement begins to rise. Moreover, as the train gathers speed, a thrilling feeling overtakes me.

My train journey from Lucknow to Kathgodam is probably 8-10 hours duration. However, I enjoy every minute of it in spite of the journey being so long. Furthermore, all along the journey, one can purchase items of food and drinks. I almost always purchase meals and refreshments at least twice in the journey.

When slumber overtakes me, I make use of the sleeping berth. I personally find sleeping on the train berth very comfortable. When I wake after a deep sleep, mountains are visible from a distance. Moreover, as the train approaches Kathgodam with menacing speed, the view of mountains gets bigger and bigger. Also, my amusement greatly rises as I see the Himalayas draw closer. Finally, as the train stops at Kathgodam, my delightful train journey comes to an end.

Let’s take a look…

100 Words Essay on An Event Attended

Introduction.

An event I attended was my cousin’s wedding. It was a fun and joyous occasion. The wedding took place in a beautiful church. It was decked with flowers and lights.

Preparation

Before the wedding, there was a lot of preparation. I helped in decorating the church and setting up the food. The whole family got together for this. It was a great bonding experience.

Wedding Ceremony

The wedding ceremony was beautiful. My cousin looked stunning in her white dress. The groom also looked handsome. They exchanged vows and rings. Everyone clapped and cheered.

After the ceremony, there was a reception. We had a delicious meal. There was also dancing and music. I had a great time with my family and friends.

Attending my cousin’s wedding was a memorable event. It was full of joy and happiness. I will always remember it.

250 Words Essay on An Event Attended

Last month, I had the chance to go to a music concert. It was a grand event, planned for many days. The concert was in our city park, and a famous band was going to play.

The Preparation

Before the day of the concert, there was a lot of work to do. The park was cleaned, and a big stage was set up. Bright lights were hung everywhere. The whole park looked like a fairytale land.

The Day of the Event

On the day of the concert, I reached the park early. There was already a big crowd. Everyone was excited to see the band. The air was filled with happiness and joy.

The Concert Begins

As the band started playing, the crowd went wild. The music was loud and full of energy. Everyone was dancing and singing along. The band played many popular songs. The lead singer’s voice was powerful and clear. It was a magical experience.

After two hours, the concert ended. The crowd clapped and cheered for the band. I felt a little sad that it was over, but I was also happy. I had a great time at the concert.

In summary, attending the music concert was an amazing experience. It was full of excitement, joy, and music. It was an event I will remember for a long time.

500 Words Essay on An Event Attended

An event is a happening or an occasion that brings people together for a common purpose. It can be a birthday party, a school function, a festival, or a concert. The event I will talk about is a book fair I attended last year. It was a magical experience that I will never forget.

The Book Fair

The book fair was held in our city’s most massive park. It was organized by a well-known publishing house. They invited many famous authors, illustrators, and poets from different parts of the country. There were stalls selling books, food, and drinks. The fair was open for three days, and I went there on the second day with my friends.

First Impressions

As we entered the park, we saw rows of stalls filled with books. Bright banners and posters were hung everywhere, creating a festive atmosphere. The smell of new books mixed with the aroma of food from nearby stalls was delightful. The fair was crowded with people of all ages, from small kids to elderly people, all excited to explore the world of books.

Exploring the Stalls

We started exploring the stalls one by one. There were books of all kinds – fiction, non-fiction, comics, academic books, and more. I was thrilled to see many of my favorite authors’ books on the shelves. The stall owners were friendly and helped us find the books we were looking for. It was exciting to hold a book in my hand, flip through its pages, and decide whether to buy it or not.

Meeting the Authors

The highlight of the book fair was the chance to meet some famous authors. They gave talks about their books, shared their experiences, and answered questions from the audience. It was inspiring to hear their stories and learn about their journey as writers. We also got a chance to get our books signed by them, which was a memorable experience.

Attending the book fair was an enriching experience. It not only gave me a chance to explore a wide variety of books but also to meet and interact with authors. It made me appreciate the hard work that goes into writing a book. The book fair was a celebration of the joy of reading, and I look forward to attending more such events in the future.

In conclusion, events like these not only entertain us but also educate us and broaden our horizons. They bring people together and create a sense of community. Whether it’s a book fair, a festival, or a concert, every event has its unique charm and offers a different experience.

That’s it! I hope the essay helped you.

all-elite-wrestling-aew-dynamite-will-ospreay-april-21-2024-aew-dynasty-pro-wrestling-news-bryan-danielson.jpg

Brilliance between the ropes is the status quote at AEW Dynasty. All Elite Wrestling brings its newest pay-per-view to St. Louis on Sunday with some of today's best in-ring professional wrestlers, including Bryan Danielson, Samoa Joe, Swerve Strickland and Will Ospreay.

It's a gold rush in St. Louis with nine championship titles at stake, including a winner-take-all match for the AEW trios and Ring of Honor six-man tag team titles. The night's most prestigious title match sees Joe defend the AEW world championship against Strickland, a man in rare form who is overdue for a run at the top. The Elite is well represented this weekend as the Young Bucks battle FTR for the vacant tag team titles, plus Kazuchika Okada makes his first continental title defense against Pac.

Dynasty's most anticipated match is arguably one of the few non-title bouts. Danielson has long been a frontrunner in debates about today's greatest in-ring performers. Ospreay crept up in the conversation with banger-after-banger in recent years. "The Aerial Assassin" looks to clip the wings of "The American Dragon" Danielson to assert himself as the best the business has.

Below is how you can catch all the action on Sunday night.
