The Montego Bay Bob Marley Museum Tour  will take you to Nine Mile, a quaint little village in the beautiful mountains of St Ann, Jamaica.

Each year thousands upon thousands of Bob Marley fans make their pilgrimage to the Bob Marley Museum to pay their respects and to experience the birthplace and final resting place of the King Of Reggae.

Our Bob Marley Reggae adventure begins directly from your hotel or cruise ship pier. From Ocho Rios, Nine Mile is a 1 1/2 hour drive through the countryside and is a journey that introduces you to a part of Jamaica that few visitors have the opportunity to appreciate.

Our breathtaking drive to the Graceland of Reggae begins with a tour through the famous Fern Gully, where we wind our way uphill through some of the most beautiful scenery in Ocho Rios.

Our ride continues into the Jamaican countryside as we enjoy the sounds of Bob Marley and take in the rural villages of Jamaica’s hillside. Upon your arrival to Nine Mile, you will experience the neighborhood and home that influenced Bob Marley to write lyrics for some of his most famous songs.

Your tour starts with a walk through the same house where Bob lived as a young child. Then, your Rastafarian guide will share tales of Bob Marley’s childhood and musical career.

Our Bob Marley Nine Mile Excursion is a tour for die-hard Bob Marley fans and for those seeking a better understanding of a young man whose music and vision helped change people’s thoughts worldwide. His music and message had a global effect, and his untimely death made him a legend and an icon.

On your return trip to Ocho Rios, we can stop for some shopping or visit a Local Jerk Chicken center where you can experience an authentic lunch of jerk chicken, pork, and rice & peas.

Robert Nestor Marley spoke of the simple ways of rural life. He spoke of peace, respect, and freedom. These are the values and qualities instilled during his youthful days in the small mountain village locals still call Nine Mile.

One love and one great Jamaican adventure. If you are a Bob Marley fan, do not miss it.

Was first made to feel comfortable by the quality of the equipment and the professionalism (with humour) of the entire staff. Led by Jason, he gave us a great overview of the process and then led us up to our 1st of 7 zip lines and 3 suspension bridges. Of course it was scary at first but I learned to enjoy the ride knowing I was safe and in great hands with Jason and his team. Thank you for helping me face my fear! Onto the Dunn’s River Falls climb, last time did it I was about 35 years old, now I’m almost 68! You definitely need to be steady on your feet and strong enough for some stretches but everyone is helpful to one another and supportive to get you there. It’s loads of fun and rewarding when you reach the top. This was a great day where I stretched my limits and felt proud by the end of the day. Highly recommend! Read more Written April 15, 2024

Captain Pablo was outgoing, helpful, and full of information. The lunch stop included time for a swim, and it was great. Bring sunscreen, suit and towel Belinda’s red snapper lunch was fresh and delicious. So glad we tried it! About $2500 Jamaican. Driver was waiting at the end of the trip. • 0720melanies 0 contributions 2.0 of 5 bubbles Not worth $90!! I did this adult only excursion on 3/29/24. The price was $90 through Amstar. It said to offer unlimited drinks, snacks, snokling, a party on the boat, a tour of Negril and then get to go to Rick"s Cafe. Jamwest is a cool hangout spot. The staff is friendly and cool. Check out the gift shop. Back to the excursion... it was not worth $90. The drinks were unlimited and the "snacks were just bags of chips. Getting onto the boat from the beach, they make you walk through the water with all of your belongings. That was not told when booking. Also, getting on and off the boat is dangerous. You really don't need to bring anything, but money. The ride was horrible. Myself and 2 others became nauseous. You couldn't get up and party due to the horrible ride. The bathrooms had no soap or running water. If you decide to snokle, you get the gear. For those who are not snokling, you just sit on a quiet boat. The DJ turns the music off and it is completely quiet on the boat. You only get an hour at Rick's Cafe. Which isn't not enough time to truly enjoy yourself. Once there you can jump of the cliffs. Rick's is always super crowded. You will definitely enjoy the dancing, the music and just the vibe there. It is not just worth $90. Read more Written March 30, 2024

When we got there we were told that we could not go on the excursion if we did not have closed toe shoes. We had to purchase them at the site which was very expensive. We had to pay our way back too and I didn’t want to. I was told by Velma that the resort will call the cab if we want to leave earlier than 3. At 2 we asked Velma for our cab and he was on another route, couldn’t come. We asked other taxi drives from the same company to take us back to the ship and they said we have to pay again. Then, we found our cab hiding in the parking lot, waiting for 3 o’clock so he can take more people in one transport. The name of our driver was Dexter. The beach was crowded and shallow water to the waist. Narrow beach! When locals lie to tourists is bad business. Never again there! Read more Written February 3, 2024

Also got us back in good time. The island has 5 “kitchen” set up for 5 different cruise companies bringing to island. My outsider recommendation is to clean the beach. Nobody coming there wants to walk through the crap to get to the kitchen. Take off the sponges and leaves to better welcome guests. Also need to get someone on clean up duty. The island is littered with trash, nobody paying $1200 for a boat ride to private island expects the trash that over shadows the experience. Clean up the beach and amenities for the guests. Pick a boat company each week to haul off some trash. Read more Written January 11, 2024

We actually had an amazing time. Both our drivers were amazing. They stayed with us, made sure we were safe and that we felt comfortable. They shared information about Jamaica with us and were knowledgeable. We really enjoyed our excursions and they met or exceeded all of our expectations. All 6 people in our group was very please with the tour.

Thank you kindly!

My excursion to Bob Marley Nine Miles Tour from Ocho Rios with Karandas Tours was fantastic. My husband, my son, and I thought we would be going on a tour with a bus load of people and really didn’t know what to expect. However, we had a private, tour/transportation driver (think his name is Davidson) that made us feel comfortable and special on our tour. He was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable during the drive to Nine Miles. Karandas Tours met all my family’s expectations. We were very pleased with the services we received from Karandas Tours and would book with your company again in the near future.

We don’t know when we will come back, but it’s for sure that we will book with you again! Many thanks for this great day! Wish we were still there….:-) Best wishes, See You

Several cruise lines sail to Jamaica with most itineraries departing from the United States. Royal Caribbean sails to Jamaica from Tampa, Florida. Celebrity cruises to both Ocho Rios and another Jamaican port, Falmouth. Carnival has several itineraries that stop in Jamaica, including a few that sail the Panama Canal. Carnival Cruise Line and Princess Cruises sail to both Montego Bay, located on the northern side of the island, and Ocho Rios. Cruises to Jamaica tend to be longer, with many itineraries falling into the five- to seven-night range, so you’ll need more than a long weekend for this vacation. Ships sailing here tend to be larger and stacked with onboard entertainment and activities. Ocho Rios on Jamaica’s northern coast is the island's largest and best-located cruise port. It offers easy access to two of Jamaica’s top attractions—Dunn’s River Falls and Mystic Mountain, where you’ll find bobsledding and zip-lining—and several of Jamaica’s most popular activities. This itinerary does include several sea days, but with cabins that feel more like a home than a room on a ship, lots of great food, and a selection of cocktail experiences, you may not mind. The luxurious ship also offers cooking classes, shows, a spa, and lots of gorgeous photo spots.
