Today, multi-platinum rock band Disturbed announce their 36-date Take Back Your Life summer 2023 North American tour which will kick off at Montreal’s Bell Centre on April 27th (full dates below). The tour, produced by Live Nation, will feature support from Theory of a Deadman in Canada and very special guests Breaking Benjamin & JINJER in select markets in the United States. Disturbed’s eighth full-length album Divisive is out now via Reprise Records . Divisive pulls no punches as a precise, pummeling, and powerful hard rock opus. Over the last year, the quartet cut these ten tracks with producer Drew Fulk [Motionless In White, Lil Peep, Highly Suspect] in Nashville, TN. After Donegan shared initial ideas with the rest of the group, they locked in like never before with the groove as the backbone. Drummer Mike Wengren bolted down some of the strongest and boldest rhythms of their career punctuated by John Moyer ’s punchy bass. Together, the musicians collectively conjured the focus and fire of their seminal early output augmented by airtight songcraft and a heightened level of musical chemistry that could only be forged by years of writing and touring together. “Hey You,” the album’s first single, emerged as their 15 th #1 single at Rock Radio and retained that position for 3 weeks Their current single, Bad Man is currently in the top 10 on that chart. Divisive is available on all formats HERE .

ABOUT DISTURBED:

Emerging out of Chicago at the turn of the century with an insidious, infectious, and inimitable vision without comparison, Disturbed have quietly dominated hard rock on their own terms. They make the kind of music that pushes you to hold on tighter, fight harder, and persevere forever. It’s why they’ve quietly claimed a place at the forefront of 21 st century rock with record-breaking success, sales of over 17 million-plus units, nearly 8 billion streams, and sold out shows around the globe. The two-time GRAMMY® Award-nominated quartet have notched five consecutive #1 debuts on the Billboard Top 200, occupying rarified air alongside Metallica—the only other hard rock group to accomplish this feat. Since their influential 5x-platinum debut The Sickness in 2000, they have built a bulletproof catalog highlighted by a procession of smashes, including the platinum “Stupify , ” “Inside The Fire , ” and “Land of Confusion , ” 2x-platinum “Stricken , ” 6x-platinum “Down With The Sickness , ” and 7x-platinum “The Sound of Silence , ” to name a few. The latter notably received a GRAMMY® Award nomination in the category of “Best Rock Performance” as the band earned “Best Rock Artist” at the 2017 iHeartRadioMusic Awards. Still, Disturbed never stop, igniting their next chapter with their 2022 album Divisive featuring their 15 th #1 at Rock Radio “Hey You , ” “Unstoppable , ” and more.

DISTURBED U.S. tour kickoff: See setlist and video

Last night (July 11th), Disturbed kicked off the U.S. leg of their "Take Back Your Life" North American tour in Denver, Colorado. Disturbed's 20-song setlist spanned the band's entire career, while Breaking Benjamin and Jinjer served as openers for the explosive show.

Disturbed hit fans hard with favorites like "Stupify" and "Ten Thousand Fists" early in the set, while vocalist David Draiman delivered a heartfelt speech about suicide prevention after the band played "A Reason to Fight."

Draiman has made similar speeches following the song throughout Disturbed's 2023 touring schedule. On May 4th in Milwaukee, Draiman noted that diseases such as depression and addiction are "no different than cancer" while paying tribute to musicians we've recently lost, such as Chester Bennington, Chris Cornell and Scott Weiland.

The night concluded with a three-song encore — "Unstoppable," "Down With the Sickness" and "Inside the Fire." See the full setlist (courtesy of setlist.fm ), as well as fan shot video, below.

He responded: "I think the older we've gotten, the more mature and more respect that we have for each other and everybody's role that we play. That's just developing over time — from the early days of being in a band in the beginning and finding our way and finding our sound and whose contribution to what. Everybody has a slightly different role in the band, and just being able to accept certain things — why certain things work that way and just kind of respecting that. And everybody's important, but we have slightly different roles too. And there's just that great deal of respect, like I said.

"In our time apart, it is literally apart — everybody lives in different states," he explained. "Maybe that helps that there's a little bit of breathing room, if we are too much around each other. I think we've just got such a strong bond and a good friendship. Like I said, we respect each other. It doesn't mean we don't have differences [and aren't sometimes] at odds, especially in the studio, if we're trying to work on what we feel what's best for the song; somebody might feel differently about it. So we definitely have those moments. But it's all for the good of the band and of the song."

Donegan 's comments echo those of his bandmate, DISTURBED drummer Mike Wengren , who told the 100.3 The X Rocks radio station that "respect" is the main reason he and the other guys in the group have managed to stay together for so long. "We are all four — we're brothers, but we're all different individuals as well," he said. "And we pool off of each other's strengths. We have a tremendous team in the four of us, but also in the people that work behind the scenes as well — our crew, our management, record label; I mean, the list goes on and on — we have a tremendous team. But as far as the four of us are concerned, it really just comes down to mutual respect. We actually like each other. [ Laughs ] We check in with each other."

He continued: "It was so funny because during the pandemic, living in different states, [we] couldn't see each other for a while. And when we wrapped up in October of '19, was the last show we did, me and Danny actually took a trip. David [ Draiman , vocals] was living in Hawaii at the time, and we went out there to go stay with him and his wife and son and just chill out for a little bit. The thought was maybe when we got home, we would start writing again, and blah blah blah. And lo and behold, just about — what? maybe two months later, everything was shut down and almost two years later we finally see each other. It was almost like [scene in the movie] 'Chariots Of Fire' on the beach — we all ran into each other's arms practically. Like, 'Hey…'"

DISTURBED 's latest album, "Divisive" , was recorded early last year with producer Drew Fulk ( MOTIONLESS IN WHITE , LIL PEEP , HIGHLY SUSPECT ) in Nashville, Tennessee.

Donegan 's divorce inspired the "Divisive" song "Don't Tell Me" , which is a duet with HEART 's Ann Wilson . In two decades, it breaks ground as the first-ever guest collaboration on a DISTURBED record.

According to Billboard , "Divisive" sold 26,000 equivalent album units in its first week of release, with 22,000 units via album sales.

On the all-format Billboard 200 chart, "Divisive" debuted at No. 13.

DISTURBED has had five No. 1s on the all-genre chart, beginning with "Believe" in 2002.

Disturbed: Take Back Your Life Tour with Breaking Benjamin & Jinjer at Pine Knob Music Theatre

Pine knob music theatre, clarkston, michigan.

Hey you! Are you ready? Are you ready to get down with The Sickness?! Are you ready to get down with Disturbed, Breaking Benjamin and Jinjer at Pine Knob Music Theatre on Friday, September 1st 2023 for the Take Back Your Life Tour? That’s right, it’s time to take it all back, grab some tickets and live your life how you want to, rock out to some serious 90s rock music and stop giving a flying f*** about everything! Hold on tighter, fight harder, and persevere forever, this is your life.

Disturbed: Take Back Your Life Tour with Breaking Benjamin & Jinjer at Pine Knob Music Theatre

Disturbed quietly dominated hard rock on their own terms after emerging from Chicago at the turn of the century with an insidious, infectious, and inimitable vision. They make music that makes you want to hold on tighter, fight harder, and persevere forever. It's why they've quietly risen to the forefront of 21st-century rock, with record-breaking sales of over 17 million units, nearly 8 billion streams, and sold-out shows all over the world. The two-time Grammy Award nominees have notched five consecutive number one debuts on the Billboard Top 200, joining Metallica as the only other hard rock group to accomplish this feat.

Since their influential 5x-platinum debut The Sickness in 2000, they've built a bulletproof catalog highlighted by a string of smashes such as platinum "Stupify," "Inside The Fire," and "Land of Confusion," 2x-platinum "Stricken," 6x-platinum "Down With The Sickness," and 7x-platinum "The Sound of Silence," to name a few. The latter was nominated for a Grammy Award in the category of "Best Rock Performance," while the band was named "Best Rock Artist" at the 2017 iHeartRadioMusic Awards. Disturbed, on the other hand, never stops, kicking off their next chapter with their 2022 album Divisive, which includes their 15th number 1 at Rock Radio, "Hey You," "Unstoppable," and more.

Divisive is Disturbed's eighth studio album, released on November 18, 2022. The album's first single, "Hey You," was released on July 14, 2022, and is said to be similar to the band's earlier albums such as, The Sickness, and, Ten Thousand Fists. The album peaked at 13 on the Billboard 200, 3 on the Top Rock Albums chart, and 1 on the Top Alternative Albums, Digital Albums, and Hard Rock Albums charts.

Meanwhile, Theory of a Deadman's new album, Dinosaur, will be released on March 17. Breaking Benjamin is still riding high on the success of their 2018 album, and Aurora, a reimagined collection of existing songs, released in 2020. Jinjer is still touring in support of their 2021 album, Wallflowers.

Disturbed: Take Back Your Life Tour with Breaking Benjamin & Jinjer at Bank of NH Pavilion

Lead singer and frontman, David Draiman, guitarist and keyboardist Dan Donegan, bassist John Moyer, and drummer Mike Wengren make up Disturbed. The Chicago-based heavy metal band formed in 1994. The band has released eight studio albums, five of which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. Since their influential 5x-platinum debut The Sickness in 2000, they've built a bulletproof catalog highlighted by platinum hits like "Stupify," "Inside The Fire," and "Land of Confusion," 2x-platinum "Stricken," 6x-platinum "Down With The Sickness," and 7x-platinum "The Sound of Silence," to name a few.

Divisive, Disturbed's eighth full-length album, was released last year, and it is a precise, pummeling, and powerful hard rock opus. The musicians conjured the focus and fire of their seminal early output, augmented by airtight song craft and a heightened level of musical chemistry that could only be forged through years of writing and touring together. The album's first single, "Hey You," became their 15th number one single at Rock Radio and remained there for three weeks. Bad Man, their current single, is currently in the top ten.

Breaking Benjamin is still riding high on the success of their 2018 album, Aurora, which was a reimagined collection of songs that had previously come out before. Jinjer is still on tour to promote their most recent album, Wallflowers, which came out in 2021.
