On the first part of the cruise you get a great view of several of the historic sites in the city, including Bergenhus Fortress, Mariakirken (St. Mary's church) and Bryggen, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The boattrip continues through the magnificent and varied nature in Western Norway in the City Fjord, the Salhus Fjord and the Kverna Fjord towards the spectacular Alverstraumen. Alverstraumen is a strait in Alver municipality. The strait is between 100 and 200 meters wide and one kilometer long, and is characterized by strong tidal currents. On the way through the strait we pass a labyrinth of larger and smaller islands and islets.
About the boat: M/S Eric Bloodaxe is a modern sightsseeing boat that has plenty of space outside and inside, not to mention a stunning view from the panoramic deck. The boat is adapted for wheelchair users inside and outside on the main deck, and there is also space for strollers. Food is not sold onboard, but feel free to bring your own lunch.

Turen starter fra Zachariasbryggen, like ved det kjente Fisketorget i Bergen. På utseilingen fra Bergen vil du få god utsikt mot den berømte Bryggen, Gamle Bergen og resten av havneområdet. Vi seiler videre under Nordhordalandsbrua og inn i den 27 kilometer lange Osterfjorden i Hordaland. Innerst i den dype fjorden ligger Modalen, som med sine få hundre innbyggere er den nest minste kommunen i Norge. Underveis smalner fjorden til mellom stupbratte fjellsider. Vi styrer trygt gjennom den grunne og strie Mostraumen, og møter fossefall som kan gi en riktig så frisk dusj i ansiktet når vannføringen er stor! Vi stopper ved en foss for å smake på det kalde fjellvannet før vi snur i Modalen og tar samme tur tilbake gjennom det storslåtte landskapet.
