Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir

Kickstart your day with a hearty meal as today is going to be a fun day. According to your pre-decided schedule, you will be visiting Tsomgo Lake (12,400 Feet), a high-altitude lake that is sacred to both Hindus and Buddhist. After spending few minutes at the lake, you will visit the Baba Mandir (13,200 Feet). Dinner and Overnight stay at Gangtok.

P.S: In the case of the landslide, you won't be able to reach Tsomgo Lake (12,400 Feet), thus, an alternative will be arranged for you.

Gangtok – Pelling (150 kilometer / 5 hours) via Chardham

Post breakfast; embark on a ride to Pelling, a tiny hamlet located in the West Sikkim. During the journey from Gangtok to Pelling, you will stop at Namchi where you will be going for sightseeing to Temi Tea Garden, Samdruptse & Siddheshwar Dham (Chardham). At the Siddheshwar Dham, you can see a replica of all the 12 Jyotirlingas and four Dhams and 108 feet high statue of Lord Shiva. On arrival in Pelling, you will be transferred to hotel for overnight stay and dinner.

Pelling Sightseeing

Early morning, treat yourself to the beautiful view of mountains. In the first half of the day, you will be visiting Darap village, Rimbi water Falls, Khecheopalri Lake & Khangchendzongha waterfalls. Then in the second half, you will visit Pemayangtse Monastery (one of the oldest monasteries in Sikkim), Rabdentse Ruins, and New Helipad Ground. Dinner and overnight stay at Pelling hotel.

Pelling – NJP Rly Station / IXB Airport (136 kilometer / 5 hours)

Post breakfast, Check out and embark on a drive from the hotel to reach New Jalpaiguri railway station (Siliguri) or Bagdogra Airport (Siliguri). Your arrival at the railway station or airport will mark the end of the tour.

Daywise itinerary

Day 1 : BAGDOGRA AIRPORT / NEW JALPAIGURI STATION - PELLING

On arrival at Bagdogra airport you will be received by our representative, who will be waiting for a warm welcome just outside of the airport (customs area)/ Rly. Station by your nameplate /your referral and proceed for peeling (7,000ft. /124 km. /6 hours), the land lies with Mt. Khnagchendzonga and also known as the Hallmark land of eastern Himalayan state in India. On arrival at Pelling check in at your hotel, overnight stay at Pelling.

Day 2 : PELLING SIGHTSEEING

Full day Excursion trip to Pemayangtse Monastery, built in 17th. Century, it is one of the oldest and most important monasteries of the Nyingmapa order of Buddhism in Sikkim also visit  Khecheopalri Lake & Shingshore Suspension Bridge is worth seeing – length & gorge height is 680 ft. It is the second highest bridge in Asia. This area also has its. Also Visit Kanchendzonga waterfalls. Rock garden, overnight stay in Pelling.

Day 3 : PELLING TO RAVANGLA VIA NAMCHI & CHARDHAM

Today proceed for Ravangla is one of the most popular tourist destinations in South Sikkim. At an altitude of 7000 ft, located on a ridge between Maenam and Tendong Hill, Ravangla offers unmatched views of the Greater Himalayas. The beauty of its landscape and its location as a transit point to nearby destinations has made Ravangla a must-visit place.

NAMCHI -  The mammoth statue of Guru Padmasambhava atop the Samdruptse hill. Claimed without dispute that the 135 feet statue of Guru Padmasambhava constructed at the statue of Guru Padma Shambhava at Samdruptse Hill, Namchi, Sikkim.

CHARDHAM -  This unique Pilgrim Centre has a main temple of 108 feet height on which is based the 87 feet high statue of Lord Shiva on the sitting posture at the Solophok Hill. Apart from Shiva statue, this Pilgrim Centre also has replicas of the twelve Jyotirlingas, to offer one platform for Shiva devotees. Solophok Chardham Lord Shiva incarnated as Kirateshwar in Indrakeel (Present Sikkim). Therefore, in this incarnation he is locally worshipped by the people of Sikkim as Lord Kirateshwar. A statue of 16 1/2 feet height of Lord Kirateshwar is also installed in the complex. In order to attain Moksha, the Hindu belief is to perform pilgrimage to all the existing four Dhams. Thereby, replicas of these four Dhams, namely Badrinath, Jaganath and Dwarka dedicated to Lord Vishnu and Rameshwar, dedicated to Lord Shiva is also constructed.

Day 4 : RAVANGLA LOCAL VISIT & DROP TO GANGTOK

Ravangla is one of the most popular tourist destinations in South Sikkim. At an altitude of 7000 ft, located on a ridge between Maenam and Tendong Hill, Ravangla offers unmatched views of the Greater Himalayas. The beauty of its landscape and its location as a transit point to nearby destinations has made Ravangla a must-visit place.

After sightseeing proceed for Gangtok (5500ft. /69 km. /2.5 hours), the capital city of Sikkim state (Sikkim is the 23rd.state of India) which also known as most peaceful & beautiful state in India. On arrival at Gangtok check in into your hotel.  Overnight stay

Day 5 : TSOMGO LAKE BABA MANDIR

Today drive up for a memorable excursion tour to Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft. /39 km), this is one of the highest altitude Himalayan Lake. Most beautiful this oval shape lake almost 1 km long with its average depth 50 ft and situated in east Sikkim Himalaya. Again drive up for Baba Harbhajan Singh Memorial (13,000 ft/15 km/30 minute). Back to Gangtok and evening free for M.G Marg. the popular shopping area in Gangtok, overnight stay in Gangtok.

Day 6 : GANGTOK CITY (07 POINTS) SIGHTSEEING TOUR

Today Gangtok half day city sightseeing tour to Ganjan Monastery, Ganesh Tok, Tashi view point, Baktham waterfalls, Lasa waterfalls, Handicraft, Flower show. Ganesh Tok (6,500 ft.), A small temple dedicated to Lord Ganesha and from this place one can take a breathtaking view of Gangtok. Back to Hotel. Evening free for individual activity. Overnight halt at Gangtok

Day 7 : GANGTOK– BAGDOGRA AIRPORT / NJP RAIL STATION

Today is the farewell day of your magnificent tour so do spare few minute of your valuable time and write to tell us how much you enjoyed the tour. Today with many wonderful memories drive down to Bagdogra airport / New Jalpaiguri Rly. Station (124 km/ 4 hours) for Delhi or Onward Destination.

Day 1 NJP/IXB - Gangtok (130 km/4 hours travel)

NJP/Bagdogra arrival. Following a hearty greeting, our representative will transport you to Gangtok (1437 m) and assist you with hotel check-in. Clean up and unwind for a while. You can take a stroll along the MG Marg in the evening. Stay at the hotel for the night.

Day 2 Gangtok (Excursion to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir)

After a leisurely breakfast, depart for Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft/3750 m/3 hrs drive) and Baba Harbhajan Mandir (13,200 ft/4000 m) at around 8 a.m. Tsomgo Lake is reached through a zig-zag path through rocky alpine terrain.

The lake, which lies at an elevation of 12,400 feet, is surrounded by ethereal beauty and is considered sacred. The lake takes on varied appearances depending on the season. In the winter, it is covered in snow, but in the spring, the lake is alive with colourful blooms.

Baba Harbhajan Mandir, also known as the shrine, is a must-see attraction in Sikkim. It is dedicated to Baba Harbhajan Singh, a heroic Indian soldier.

Day 3 Gangtok (Full day sightseeing tour)

We will take you on a full-day sightseeing tour of Gangtok after breakfast. You will go to Ganesh Tok, which has been visited by humans for centuries and gives spectacular views of Kangchenjunga. Enjoy a picnic at the Banjhakri waterfall, which is a beautiful site. Then visit the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology to learn about Tibet’s rich cultural legacy and Buddhist culture. The Ropeway is the next attraction, which gives spectacular mountain vistas. The Bakthang Waterfalls, Do Drul Chorten Stupa, Tashi View Point, Directorate of Handicraft and Handloom, Enchey Monastery, and Flower Show are among the other attractions in Gangtok.

Return to the motel to spend the night.

Day 4 Gangtok – Pelling (120 km, 5.5 hours)

We will drive you to Pelling after breakfast. The route from Gangtok to Pelling is spectacular, passing through beautiful tea plantations, stunning mountains, and beautiful scenery. Pelling is a charming village nestled in the pine forest. It provides spectacular views of snow-capped peaks including the massive Kangchenjunga. It also has a number of historic monasteries.

You will be fatigued after a long travel of more than 5 hours, so rest and enjoy the rest of the day.

Day 5 Pelling (Full day local sightseeing)

Prepare to tour Pelling’s local sights after breakfast. Start with the Kanchenjunga waterfalls, which will undoubtedly refresh you with their cascading water and lush surrounds. Then visit the beautiful Sewaro rock garden, which is lush with flora. Darap Valley, a picturesque hideaway, is next on the list. Take a break for lunch before continuing your tour to Pema Yangtse monastery, Helipad Ground, Rimbi waterfalls, Khecheopalri holy Lake, and Rabdentse Ruins. In the evening, return to the hotel and remain the night.

Day 6 Pelling – Darjeeling (73 kilometres, 3 hours and 37 minutes)

Drive to Darjeeling after breakfast. Although the road is not particularly smooth, you will pass through beautiful green gardens, rivers, picturesque villages, and old bridges along the way.

Arrive at the Darjeeling hotel, check in, and stay the night.

Day 7 Darjeeling (Full day local sightseeing)

Begin your tour early in the morning (about 4 a.m.) by driving to Tiger Hill (2590 m) for breathtaking views of the dawn over Mt. Kanchenjunga. It is the hill station’s highest peak. On your way back, stop through Batasia Loop and Ghoom Monastery. After a hearty breakfast, head to the Japanese Temple, a well-known Buddhist temple that features traditional Japanese architecture. Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park (closed on Thursday), Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Tenzing Rock, Peace Pagoda, and Chitrey Tea Garden are among the other attractions that will be explored (outer view). Take a stroll around Mall Road in the evening.

Day 8 Darjeeling – New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP)/Bagdogra Airport (IXB) (88 km/3 hours)

Check out of the hotel after breakfast and we’ll transport you back to New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP)/Bagdogra Airport (IXB) – Gangtok with memories to last a lifetime!

Itinerary – Gangtok Pelling Tour

Day 01 : siliguri/bagdogra to gangtok (distance 135 km. / approx 4.30 hrs).

Welcome to Gangtok Pelling Tour  . On arrival at Siliguri (NJP) railway station or Bagdogra (IXB) airport meet & greet by Navigator India’s representative. Drive to Gangtok. On the way you you will visit Corotation Bridge & magnificent view of the river Tista.

Day 02 : Gangtok sightseeing

Proceed on a city tour in Gangtok including Tashi view point, Ganesh Tok, Hanuman Tok; 3 view points offering panoramic view of snow capped Himalayan peaks & Gangtok city. Proceed to visit Rumtek Monastery/ Jhakri Falls (any one), Institute of Tibetology to have a glance of Tibetan Thanka and antics, Orchid House (having numerous collection of orchids), Enchay Monastery ,Dodurl Chorten etc.

Day 03 : Excursion – Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir

Early in the morning (7.30 am) drive for an excursion to Tsomgo Lake , situated 32 km away from the city at an altitude of above 12,000 ft. & Baba Mandir another 01 hour drive. Enjoy yak ride around the lake (own cost). Drive back to hotel for lunch. Enjoy your evening at MG Marg in Gangtok.

Day 04 : Gangtok to Pelling via Ravangla (Distance 118 km./ 5 hrs)

Today you will transferred to Pelling via Ravangla , a small township & of South Sikkim. As the road condition is not very good, it will take approx 5hrs to reach Pelling Check into your hotel in Pelling. Afternoon free for refreshment.

Note: You can go from Gangtok to Pelling via Namchi (148 km/ 6hrs) & visit Siddheswar Dham (Char Dham) at Namchi on an extra cost.

Day 05 : Pelling sightseeing

Today you will proceed to full day Pelling sightseeing including Rimbi False, Rimbi Rock Garden, Kanchandzonga False, Khecheopalri Lake, Pemayangtse monastery etc.

Tsomgo lake .

Tsomgo Lake – Gangtok

Changu Lake is approx 40 Km away from Gangtok on the way to Nathula Pass. In Bhutaia Lacguage the word Tsomgo means the ‘Source on Lakes’. At an altitude of approx 12,000 ft above the sea level it is the most important place to visit in Sikkim. the  Lake is oval in shape and approximately 1km long. It has an average depth of about 50 ft.  Snow melted water from the mountains around created the lake & the lake created a river namely Lungtze Chu. The lake further falls into Rangpo-chu.

According to the myth the spirituals gurus of Sikkim used to study the colour of the water of Tsomgo Lake to forecast the future of the state. So the local people considered the lake as sacred.

Changu Lake is a paradise for the ornithologists. The migratory birds takes a break near the lake while flying long way from Syberia to the Indian plains. Brahminy Ducks  is a one of the spices.

Tsomgo Lake permit

Foreigners need a Protected Area Permit to visit Tsomgo Lake. Permit can be obtained in Gangtok. All the guests must carry 2 copies passport size recent colour photographs, Passport & copy of Restricted Area Permit (RAP).

Rumtek Monastery (Dharma Chakra Centre)

Rumten Monastery is 24km away from the city. After Tsomgo Lake it is the most important tourist spot. It also works as the Buddhist head quarter of India. The monastery was constructed in the year 1960 by the Gyalwa Karmapa, who was the 16 th  Karmapa & settled in Sikkim in late fifties. Rumtek is the largest monastery of Sikkim. Namgyal (Research) Institute of Tibetology

About one kilometer away from the Gangtok main market there is Namgyal Institute of Tibetology surrounded by magnolia, oak & brich trees. The institute building is a perfect example of Tibetan style of architecture & a major sightseeing point. It is one of the renowned institutes of the world with rare collection of books, documents & manuscripts on Buddhism. There is a huge volume of xylographs (printed wooden documents), translation of original teachings of the Lord Buddha & Buddhist scholars around the world. The institute also conducts research on Buddhism along with Tibetan culture & language. The adjoin museum has a rare collection of antiques like Thankas, coins & Buddhist sculpture. The foundation stone of the institute was laid by Dalai Lama in 1957 & was inaugurated by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru in 1958.

Places to Visit in Pelling

Kecheopalri lake.

Situated in the north-west of Pelling, Kecheopalri Lake is a sacred pilgrimage site in Pelling sightseeing for both Hindus and Buddhists. Believed to be a wish-fulfilling lake, this place is heaven for nature lovers and travellers. Many interesting legends revolve around the origin and history of the lake. The shape of the lake looks like a footprint if viewed from the top. Hindus consider this as the footprint of god Shiva while Buddhists believe it to be the footprint of goddess Tara. Another interesting fact about this lake is that in spite of being situated amidst so mush of greenery, no fallen leaves can be seen floating on its surface. It is said that the birds keep the lake clean all the time. Emerging as a popular tourist attraction in Sikkim, Kecheopalri Lake is visited by pilgrims from all around the world.

Kanchendzonga Waterfalls

24 km from the beautiful township of Sikkim, Kanchendzonga waterfall is one of the major tourist hotspot in west Sikkim. It is a perennial waterfall and remains active throughout the whole year. Noted for its fascinating view of surrounding hills and countryside, this stunning waterfall is doubtlessly one of the most magnificent waterfalls in the entire Sikkim. Here, one can also find many small food-stalls selling snacks and tea, which make this place an ideal picnic spot to spend some quality time with near and dear ones.

Pemayangtse Monastery

Pemayangtse monastery is a popular Buddhist monastery. It is situated at a distance of 2 km from Pelling. Built in 1705 by Lama Lhatsum Chempo, it is one of the oldest monasteries in Sikkim. The word Pemayangtse means ‘sublime lotus’ and it is considered to represent one of the four plexus of human body. With its beautiful collection of Buddhist idols, scriptures, sculptures, carvings and paintings, this three storied building is a heavenly place surrounded by magnificent Himalayan ranges of snow-capped mountains. Outside the monastery, there is also a very beautiful picturesque garden well maintained by the monks. Undoubtedly this monastery is one of the must see places when one is in Pelling.

Itinerary (Day Wise)

Bagdogra airport – darjeeling (approx. 93 kms, 3 hrs drive).

Arrive at Bagdogra airport and proceed to Darjeeling. Often referred to as the “Queen of the Hills”, it remains just as alluring with its tiny waterfalls, little villages and a narrow gauge railway track. Arrive at Darjeeling and check into your hotel. Evening is at leisure. Overnight at Darjeeling.

Note: All guests are requested to carry documents (04 passport size snaps and copies of valid Indian Photo ID address proof like election card driving license and passport)

Darjeeling Sightseeing

Early morning visit Tiger Hill to see a beautiful sunrise and Himalayan Range like Kanchandzonga, Mount Everest etc. One can see the horizon changing colors just before sunrise and then the entire Himalayan range turns golden. After breakfast at hotel proceed for city tour visiting Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed on Thursday) which was started by Tenzing Norgay after he climbed Mt. Everest, Zoological Park (closed on Thursday), Tenzing Rock, Gombu Rock, Tea Estate (from outside), Japanese Temple and Peace Pagoda. Overnight in Darjeeling.

Darjeeling – Pelling (75 kms 3 hours approx.)

After breakfast proceed to Pelling (2000 mts.). Pelling is another serene, mountain village which lies in the western districts of Sikkim. On arrival check-in to hotel, rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight at Pelling.

Pelling sightseeing

After breakfast proceed for city tour visiting Khechipalri Lake, Rimbi Falls, Skywalk (Ticket on direct payment), Darap Village, Orange Garden and Rabtense Ruins. Overnight at Pelling.

Pelling – Gangtok (2 Nights)

After breakfast proceed to Gangtok. Gangtok is the capital of Sikkim, known for its mesmerizing beauty, scintillating mountains, and the gorgeous winding hill roads. Later proceed for half day sightseeing in Gangtok visiting Flower Show, Handicraft, Institute of Tibetology, Do Drul Chorten. Overnight at Gangtok.

After breakfast proceed for a full day trip to Tsomgo Lake which is 35 Kms from Gangtok at an altitude of 12,400 feet. The lake derives its waters from melting snows off the surrounding mountains Legends say that lamas could forecast the future by studying the colour of the lake’s waters. Also visit New Baba Mandir. Overnight at Gangtok.

Gangtok – Bagdogra Airport

Cancellation Policy & Payment Terms

• If the Guest decides to cancel the tour for any reason whatsoever then s/he shall give a written application to the Company within specified time limit along with original receipt issued by the Company. Such cancellation will attract cancellation charges stated hereunder.
• Cancellation charges will be calculated on gross tour cost and the cancellation charges shall depend on date of departure and date of cancellation
• Cancellation charges for any type of transport ticket are applicable as per the rules of the concerned authority.
• Air tickets issued on special fares are NON REFUNDABLE and Guest shall bear cancellation charges.
• Any refund payable to the Guest will be paid after the Company receives refund from the respective authorities. The Company deducts processing charges from the refund to be paid to the Guest.

Payment Terms

• Airlines/Room up-gradation and complimentary will not be entertained during the tour unless if specified at the time of booking.

DAY 7: TRAVEL TO CHANGU LAKE, BABA MANDIR [1 HR 33 MIN (44.4 KM)]

As the morning sores in, the warm rays of the sun knocks through the window to give a startup call for the second day. Enjoy breakfast at the hotel in its peaceful surroundings, and load the bags with dry foods before leaving for a full day trip to Tsomgo Lake with Baba Mandir / Nathula Pass Excursion.

Tsomgo Lake (12400ft) Tour - Also known as Changu Lake is an oval shaped glacial lake which is only 40 km from Gangtok City, and almost about 1Km in length with 15 meters depth. The name Tsomgo is made of two words in Bhutia Language 'Tso' means 'lake' and 'Mgo' means 'head' in a short 'source of the lake'. This high altitude lake is surrounded by snow-capped steep mountains and remains frozen during wintertime. As summer beings to step-in, the glacier melts and the lake gets its origin. The locals consider the lake to be sacred, and it reflects different colors with the change in seasons.

New Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir Tour - The Baba Mandir was built in the Memorial of Baba Harbhajan Singh or the 'Hero of Nathula', a soldier in the Indian Army. It is situated at a distance of 12Km from Tsomgo lake, and 52Km from Gangtok city. Baba Harbhajan served as a part of border patrol force, and in the year 1968 while escorting a mule column he felts on a fast-flowing stream and got carried away by the powerful water current. Soldiers found his remains after 3 days and cremated with full military honor along with a shrine on his Samadhi built as per Baba’s wish, which he expressed through his friend post-death. The original bunker of Baba Harbhajan Singh is located further up near the Gnathang valley which is the Old Baba Mandir but because of its difficult terrain tourist can’t reach there so they build a New Mandir for easy access. This shrine believed to have wish-fulfilling powers along with that Baba is still guarding the international border between India and China. On Sundays, a 'Langar' runs at the temple, which provides free meals to the visitors.

We availed services from NatureWings for our Sikkim Darjeeling Tour last month December 12, 2019. We had a great time and our itinerary was smoothly and efficiently managed without any hiccups. Special mention for Indrajit and Arpan who catered to our grievances immediately. The hotels were good and booked in some of the top localities across Sikkim and Darjeeling with good accessibility and all the transport facilities and vehicles were excellent. We would specially like to mention our driver in Darjeeling Mr. Pritam for his outstanding service and punctuality. Overall we found the package to be a little expensive since we had to pay separately for Nathula and zero point (total of Rs 6500 for both since it was subject to availability of vehicle permit) and an additional Rs 1200 for a halt at Buddha Park in Ravangla. I would like to give a minor suggestion to the team to include major tourist points that fall on the way for eg. in our case Chardham at Namchi and Buddha Park at Ravangla fell on our way to Pelling from Gangtok.

We went to Sikkim December 12, 2019 and had a great time. Naturewings made our trip smooth and beautiful.

DAY 1 : New Jalpaiguri Railway Station(NJP)/Bagdogra Airport(IXB) – Gangtok (130 km/4 hrs drive)

Arrival at the NJP/Bagdogra. You will be warmly received by our representative who will then drive you to Gangtok (1437 m). Check in at the hotel. Get refreshed and relax for some time. In the evening, take a leisurely walk on the MG Marg, the main street of Gangtok. Overnight stay at the hotel in Gangtok.

DAY 2 : Gangtok Sightseeing (Full-day)

After a delicious breakfast, get ready to explore the local attractions of Gangtok. Start with the Ganesh Tok, a temple which is highly revered by the local people for years and is also a perfect place to capture magnificent views of Kangchenjunga, the world’s third highest mountain. Spend some quality time at the lovely Banjhakri waterfall, a famous picnic spot for the locals. A visit to the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology will introduce you to the richness of Tibetan architecture and Buddhist culture. Enjoy some adventure at the Ropeway while you treat your eyes with amazing views of the mountains. Other attractions of Gangtok that will be covered are Do Drul Chorten Stupa, Bakthang Waterfalls, Tashi view point, Enchey Monastery, Directorate of Handicraft and Handloom and Flower Show. DAY 3 : Gangtok (Excursion to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir)

Start your day early at around 8 am to visit the beautiful Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft/3750 m/3 hrs drive) and the famous Baba Harbhajan Mandir( 13,200 ft/4000 m). On the way halt for a quick breakfast. The mountainous route to the Lake is a nice drive. The Lake is perched at a height of 12,400 ft and is endowed with enchanting beauty. It is held sacred by the locals. Come winters and the lake looks angelic as it gets enveloped in snow. As the spring takes its turn, the lake comes back to life with colourful flowers blooming in its surroundings. Baba Harbhajan Mandir or the shrine is a well-known attraction of Sikkim. It was built in reverence of Baba Harbhajan Singh, a brave Indian soldier. He was carrying supplies to a remote place when due to extremely bad weather he lost his life. Post-excursion, our representative will bring you back to Gangtok. DAY 4 : Gangtok – Lachung(116 km/6 hrs drive)

Enjoy a fulfilling breakfast, and then head to Lachung, a wonderful hamlet surrounded by snow-capped mountain peaks. It is well known for its apple, peach and apricot orchids, cascading waterfalls and lovely streams. The Lachung Chu river flows through the middle of the village dividing it into two. On the way to Lachung, stop at the Singhik View Point for arresting sights of mount Silnoulchu. The Seven Sister Waterfall is also on the way. Take a lunch break at Namok and later a tea break at Chungthang. Reach Lachung and check in the hotel. Refresh yourself and relax. The evening is at leisure. You can visit the handicraft center to buy souvenirs such as exquisitely woven rugs and blankets and the Lachung Gompa which was built in 1880. You will be served a delicious dinner at the hotel. Have a relaxed stay overnight at the hotel.

DAY 5 : Lachung – Yumthang Valley (24 km/1 hr drive) – Lachung – Gangtok

Start your journey early morning to capture the unparalleled beauty of the Yumthang Valley (11,800 ft) which is popularly known as the Valley of Flowers. The greenery punctuated with a variety of colourful flowers and trees makes this valley a famous attraction of Sikkim. The valley also boasts of a lovely river and grassy plains where you come across horses, yaks and goats grazing. This is such a picture-perfect view. Take a break for lunch and then come back to Gangtok. On the way back you will come across Twin and Bheema waterfalls. Get back to the hotel in Gangtok and enjoy an overnight stay. DAY 6 : Gangtok – Pelling (120 km/5.5 hrs drive) via Namchi Char Dham and Samdruptse Statue

Post breakfast set out on a journey to Pelling. It is a picturesque town in west Sikkim dotted with pine trees. The journey to Pelling is as exciting as the destination itself. On your journey, you will drive past aromatic tea gardens, beautiful surroundings, and majestic mountains. On the way our representative will take a diversion leading to Namchi, meaning ‘top of the sky’ where you can catch great views of the mountains and the valley. Visit the sacred Namchi Char Dham which is home to 108 feet tall statue of Lord Shiva and replicas of 12 Jyotirlingas. Head to Samdruptse Hill where stands the 118 feet, world’s largest statue of the Buddhist Padmasambhava, the patron saint of Sikkim. This hill is called the wish-fulfilling hill. Continue your journey to Pelling. The fascinating views of Kangchenjunga await you at Pelling. It is also a home to years old monasteries. Reach Pelling and check in at the hotel. Spend the evening at leisure.

DAY 7 : Pelling Sightseeing

Enjoy a delicious breakfast, and then head out to explore the enchanting world of Pelling. Visit Kanchenjunga waterfalls to get refreshed to the core. The surrounding greenery adds more beauty to it. The other attraction on the list is Sewaro rock garden with fountains, greenery, and serenity. Then head to Darap Valley whose natural beauty will surely win your heart. Breathe in the fresh air and enjoy picturesque views. Halt for lunch and then proceed further to explore Pema Yangtse monastery, Helipad Ground, Rimbi waterfalls, Khecheopalri sacred Lake and Rabdentse Ruins. Drive back to the hotel and stay overnight.

DAY 8 : Pelling – New Jalpaiguri Railway Station(NJP)/Bagdogra Airport(IXB) (88 km/3 hrs drive)

This day marks the end of your tour! Check out from the hotel and our representative will drive you to New Jalpaiguri Railway Station(NJP)/Bagdogra Airport(IXB) – Gangtok.
