Established on January 22, 2018, Jetour is a Chinese automotive brand launched by  Chery Holding Group . The company is committed to create a good life car for today’s youth which helps them express their individuality and define the journey with actions together. The brand as a whole adheres to the concept of travel+strategy, travel+market.

Pronounced as "Jietu" in Chinese, the brand name JET+TOUR means convenient+travel, literally translating to “convenient travel”. Also, the name has two Chinese characters that originated from classic Chinese literature meaning “successful career” and “the world returns to the same place with different paths”.

Based on  Chery  Holding’s 20+ years of experience in vehicle manufacturing, Jetour brings cars that are even more intelligent, spacious, multi-functional, and specious. Its complete range of products includes conventional cars powered by internal combustion engines, fully electric vehicles, plug-in hybrid cars, and cars with potentially hydrogen powertrains.

In the Philippines, Jetour arrived as a joint collaboration between the Gateway Group and AutoSpeedyGo. THe brand made its public debut at the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) 2023. Here, Jetour introduced its initial product offering, including the Dashing (5-seater compact SUV), X70 Journey, X70 Plus, and the electric car model the Ice Cream EV. 

Jetour Philippines plans to establish at least 6 dealerships in 2023, one each in Manila, Alabang, Quezon City, San Juan, Cebu, and Davao.

These are the four new models Jetour plans to launch in PH

Last night, Jetour Auto Philippines held a celebratory dinner as it marked its first 100 days in the local automotive industry. Managing director  Miguelito Jose  announced during the program that the company had already sold 300 units in those first three months or so, which is quite the feat.

Suffice to say it’s been an eventful 100 days so far for the Chinese carmaker. But it has no plans of slowing down, as it already has four big new models in the pipeline.

First of the four new models confirmed was the T2, also known as the Traveller. This is the Ford Bronco-like off-roader in Jetour’s global lineup. Considering how much our market loved the Toyota FJ Cruiser, a 4x4 like the T2 could potentially perform well for the brand here.

The second model announced was the Dashing PHEV. Pictured here is the petrol-powered variant which we already have. The plug-in hybrid version produces a maximum of 322hp and 545Nm of torque, which is a massive upgrade from the 156hp, 230Nm 1.5-liter turbo engine we currently have.

Third on the list is the X90 Plus, a sizeable seven-seater vehicle that could contend in the local midsize SUV segment. Last is the X50, which is a soon-to-be-unveiled crossover that we have no details of just yet.

What we also don’t have info on is the actual schedule. Jetour Auto Philippines didn’t give us a timeline, but we do expect these launches to happen soon. The brand does aim to reach 50,000 local sales in five years, so we reckon it’ll continue to expand its lineup as soon as it gets the chance.

Iloilo Islas de Gigantes & Sicogon Island Hopping Shared Tour with Lunch

See the scenic islands of Iloilo in this Islas de Gigantes and Sicogon Island tour complete with boat transfers, entrance fees, a full load lunch, and the services of a guide. This is perfect for those seeking a getaway to some of the best beaches and islands in Iloilo.

After meeting up with your guide at Bancal Port Carles, you will fill up the registration form at the Tourism Office. You will then proceed to the group boat charter that will take you to the first destination, Sicogon Island.

Sicogon Island, situated off the coast of Northern Iloilo, is a hidden treasure. It has pristine beaches and clear turquoise waters, which include Buaya Beach and Tumakin Island. Buaya Beach is surrounded by giant coconut palms, nipa hut houses, and clear blue waters perfect for taking a swim. Like Buaya Beach, Tumakin Island also has crystal blue seas that are perfect for a swim at any time of year. 

Next, you will visit Islas de Gigantes or Gigantes Islands. Located in the municipality of Carles, Iloilo, it has beautiful lagoons, idyllic beaches thick mangroves, and secret coves. You will have lunch at Lantangan Beach first, a secluded beach with shallow waters and sandy shores, before heading to Antonia Beach . It is most renowned for its white sand beach, which is enhanced by the unusual limestone rocks that jut out in and around the place. For a more fun visit, book add-on activities like the banana boat ride and jet ski ride for a minimal fee.

Next, you will visit Cabugao Gamay Island, a small island off the coast of Carles, Iloilo. The island has an unusual rock structure at the end of the sandbar and is completely encircled by emerald green seas that are ideal for swimming. 

Next, you will go to Bantigue Sandbar , famous for its sands’ brownish tone changing to a golden hue at sunset. Head next for a cliff diving adventure at Tangke Salt Water Lagoon, which has refreshing shallow waters and beautiful rock formations. 

Puting Baybay Gamay, which is your next destination, has creamy-colored shores and blue waters, perfect for lounging and swimming. Enjoy before heading to Pulupandan Island, a small islet known for its aquamarine waters and white sands. Afterward, you will head back to Bancal Port Carles.

This is a shared tour available every weekend starting 8:00 AM. Bring your own snorkeling gear should you wish to do the activity. Cliff dive on your own risk. Always listen to the tour guide present for guest safety and protection.

Jetski and banana boat is available for advance reservation. Other activities not indicated are to be paid on site should guests want to avail themselves. Some destinations may be changed subject to weather conditions and water current.

Meet-up time is 8:30AM at Bancal Port Carles. No pick-up and drop off included, but you may add it as an add-on. The pick-up time will be between 4:00am-5:00am within Iloilo city only (Airport not included). To change the meet up time and location please request in advance so our operator may check if the itinerary will fit as we may need to move the pick-up time if the location is far and additional fee may apply.

The operator may cancel the tour in case of force majeure or unforeseen circumstances like weather conditions. In this case, you will be given the option to reschedule or request a full refund. Note that being late by 15-30 minutes without any advice is considered a no-show. Tour cancellation requests must be made 48 hours before your scheduled tour subject to approval.
