App isn’t working

This app has been very helpful to me until today I don’t know what happened. I opened the app and i cannot access the services anymore. The real-time bus routes, the free ticket that i downloaded (for metrolink), it just keeps on loading and brings you back to the home page. I ask my friend to download the app and even her experience a problem like registering/creating an account isn’t working. I already filed a complaint good thing filing complaint in the app is working. I will change my review if this app goes back to normal. Edit: after filing the complaint it went back to normal. Thank you for fast response in resolving this problem.

Worst app with worst back end customer service

Dear all reading this , this app is ridiculous as the reason being worst personal experience after recharging 100QR online through all the transaction is failed and money is still not refunded and even the customer service is horrible they are still advicing to tap on online recharge option in the bus even after trying that for 20+ times it’s still not reflecting not they have initiated. Leaving that aside the new problem after update app is not signing in even after trying too many times which eventually means I can even use the rechargeable QR card which also has a balance of 100+QR . And successfully Karwa being a solution to easy travel itself making someone not to travel only ! For all valuable mates if you have any other option to travel please go ahead with it coz this service provided is useless ! Thanks :]

Improve this app and bug fixes

This app is good but mostly it doesn’t look good with putting admin information, my problem is putting my phone number and it won’t accept it. I hope someone reads this and improve soon or later. This is so important but the app itself is good.

With Karwa Journey Planner, you not only gain access to real-time information on Karwa buses, but you can also plan your travel with points of interest , making it useful in Qatar. Other helpful apps include Hayya to Qatar 2022 or Qatar Rail .

Companion app for Karwa buses

The Karwa Journey Planner app was developed by Mowasalat, the transport company that also manages the Karwa buses that travel across Qatar. As such, one of its key features is the integration with the Karwa smart card , which passengers use to pay for their trips. To use the app, you enroll a valid smart card onto it and you can download e-tickets right into the app.

Also, as mentioned, its choice of color lends to the visual advantage of the app. It also uses large buttons and fonts , making it accessible to a wide range of users. Aside from smart card management, it also has a trip planner that lets you build an itinerary, the closest bus stop to your GPS location, current bus routes, and a list of points of interest around town.

Unfortunately, it also suffers from optimization issues . For starters, it doesn’t have any sort of offline support, which means you can’t expect any of its services if you’re in a dead spot or place with poor reception . It still pays to keep your actual Karwa smart card as a backup. Similarly, users have reported problems with the app, such as crashing immediately after opening because of an “ unexpected error .”

A key transport app, in development

In terms of features and designs, Karwa Journey Planner is a promising step in making Mowasalat’s bus transport system more accessible and more convenient. It has the app color and layout nailed down, and in the right conditions, it’s actually smart and fun to use. Unfortunately, unless the network and app optimization issues are addressed, you can skip this one.

Karwa to Require Metrolink Passengers to Scan ‘Smartcard’ from 1 October

Karwa announced that tapping in and out will be mandatory for Metrolink services starting from 1 October. Commuters can use the Karwa Smartcard or the Karwa Journey Planner App QR code for this purpose. The service, however, will continue to remain free of charge.

To use the Karwa Journey Planner App, passengers have to sign in to the app and then download an e-ticket before boarding the bus. This QR ticket needs to be downloaded only once and it will be valid for all Metrolink journeys. The golden QR code needs to be scanned on the ticket reader as one enters and leaves the Metrolink bus.

The QR Code Ticket can be accessed on the swipeable home screen or in the Card Management section of the app.
