Luke Combs Will Play Back-to-Back Shows for Fall ‘Middle of Somewhere’ Tour

By Jon Freeman

Jon Freeman

Luke Combs has plotted out a busy touring schedule in 2022, making up for the lost time with various festival appearances at Stagecoach and New Orleans Jazzfest before he embarks on a summer stadium tour.

When that trek is over, the “Tomorrow Me” singer will regroup and head out on the Middle of Somewhere Tour in September, playing a series of back-to-back arena shows that’ll take him nearly to the end of the year.

The tour gets underway Sept. 2 in Bangor, Maine, and features Combs playing two consecutive nights in nearly every city he visits. Those stops include Green Bay’s Resch Center, Louisville’s KFC Yum! Center, and Uncasville, Connecticut’s Mohegan Sun Arena. The exceptions to Combs’ back-to-back lineup are when he heads to Canada for a series of dates — he’ll do one night only in Montreal and Quebec City, but double nights in Toronto and London, Ontario. The tour wraps on Dec. 9 and 10 with shows in Oklahoma City.

Tickets to most of the U.S. shows go on sale May 6 at 10 a.m. local time. Joining Combs on select dates of the trek will be an assortment of artists including Mitchell Tenpenny, Morgan Wade, Jordan Davis, Lainey Wilson, and Riley Green. A release notes that ticket prices will remain at the level they were pre-pandemic.

“I know that the price of everything has been going up these last couple of years and there’s nothing I can do about that, but the one thing I could do is set the price of my tickets,” Combs said in a statement.

Combs recently released the song “ Tomorrow Me ” from his new album Growin’ Up, which will be released June 24.

Event Information

“the most promising and influential new country star of the last five years”— The New York Times

ACM, CMA and CMT Award-winning artist  Luke Combs  will return to Canada next spring for a special headline tour including shows at Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena (two nights), Ottawa’s Canadian Tire Centre, Quebec City’s Videotron Centre, Montreal’s Centre Bell and London’s Budweiser Gardens (two nights).

Known for his electric live performances, Combs is currently in the midst of an extensive headline arena tour featuring a special new in-the-round stage design. Upcoming stops include New York’s Madison Square Garden (two nights), San Francisco’s Chase Center, Houston’s Toyota Center, Chicago’s United Center (two nights), Dallas’ American Airlines Center (two nights) and Boston’s TD Garden (two nights) among several others.

The tour adds to yet another monumental year for Combs, who is nominated in three categories at the  55th Annual CMA Awards :  Entertainer of the Year ,  Male Vocalist of the Year  and  Song of the Year  (“ Forever After All ”). With the platinum-certified “Forever After All,” Combs recently achieved his eleventh-consecutive #1 single, a first on the chart the  Billboard  Country Airplay chart. “Forever After All” was also his tenth single to spend multiple weeks atop the chart and his eighth consecutive, multi-week #1 single. The song, which debuted at #2 on the all-genre  Billboard  Hot 100 chart this past November—the highest entrance ever for a male country solo artist—is also the sixth-consecutive #1 from Combs’ deluxe album,  What You See Ain’t Always What You Get , tying the record for most #1 singles to come from the same album. Furthering his triumphant run at county radio, Combs’ current single, “ Cold As You ,” is currently top 15 at country radio and rising. Moreover, Combs recently released his new song, “ South On Ya ,” which has been selected as the official theme song for the SEC Network’s 2021 football season.

Out now via River House Artists/Columbia Nashville,  What You See Ain’t Always What You Get  debuted at #1 on the all-genre  Billboard  200 chart as well as  Billboard ’s Top Country Albums chart last fall. The deluxe edition features all 18 tracks from Combs’ double Platinum-certified, global #1 album,  What You See Is What You Get , as well as five new songs. With the release, Combs reached #1 on  Rolling Stone ’s Top 200 Albums chart, Top 100 Songs chart and Artists 500 chart—the first country artist ever to lead all three charts in the same week and first to top the Artists 500.  Combs also recently made history as the first artist ever to have their first two studio albums spend 25 weeks or more at #1 on  Billboard ’s Top Country Albums chart—breaking Taylor Swift’s previously held record at 24 weeks. The achievement comes as  What You See Is What You Get  topped the chart for the 25th time last summer, while his 2017 debut,  This One’s For You , has spent 50 non-consecutive weeks at #1—tying the record for the longest reign atop the chart with Shania Twain’s  Come On Over  in 1997.

Luke combs announces 2022 canadian tour.

Posted by Buddy Iahn | Sep 17, 2021

Singer will perform seven shows

Luke Combs has announced his first headlining shows in Canada for 2022. The Canadian Tour 2022 with Riley Green and Chayce Beckham will kick off a run of seven shows with two nights in Toronto on March 20th and 21st with stops Ottawa, Quebec City and Montreal before wrapping with two nights in London, Ontario March 30th and 31st.

“I’ve been wanting to do a headlining tour in Canada for y’all for quite some time, so I’m pumped to announce a seven show tour for next year!” Combs shares.

Pre-sales for Bootleggers fan club members starts Wednesday, September 22nd at 10 am local venue time via Ticketmaster Verified Fan. Fans must sign up to become a Bootlegger before Sunday, September 19th at 11:59 pm CT in order to be selected. Those who are chosen will receive their code via text message the night before the pre-sale.

Combs is currently in the midst of his 2021 What You See Is What You Get Tour that was postponed from last year. He initially sold out 16 of the 24 shows of the What You See Is What You Get Tour when tickets went on-sale before the pandemic, including both of his Madison Square Garden headline debut performances.

Combs latest single is “South On Ya” following the release of “ The Great Divide ” with Billy Strings earlier this year.

The track follows Combs’ 10th consecutive No. 1 hit with “Better Together.” This extends his record-breaking streak at country radio as the first artist to have all ten of his singles reach the summit with only two studio albums and deluxe albums.

Last year, Combs also made history as the first artist ever to have their first two studio albums spend 25 weeks or more at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart — breaking Taylor Swift’s previously held record at 24 weeks.

Luke Combs Sets Stadium Dates for 2022

Luke Combs has announced the cities and dates for several stadium gigs that he'll undertake in 2022 as part of a massive international tour.

The newly-crowned CMA Entertainer of the Year is set to embark on his first-ever headlining stadium dates in 2022, announcing shows at Denver’s Empower Field at Mile High on May 21, Seattle’s Lumen Field on June 4 and Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium on July 30 in a press release on Friday morning (Nov. 12), along with a slate of other dates for 2021 and 2022.

Combs' tour dates will commence on Nov. 16, 2021, with a show in New Orleans, and the tour will take in performances in the U.K. and Canada before wrapping up on July 30, 2022, in Atlanta. Cody Johnson , Zach Bryan and Morgan Wade will accompany Combs as support acts on various dates of the upcoming tour.

There will be a pre-sale for tickets to the newly announced beginning Wednesday (Nov. 17) at 4PM local time via Ticketmaster Verified Fan. Members of Combs' official fan club, the Bootleggers, will receive early access through a Ticketmaster Verified Fan pre-sale that begins on Wednesday (Nov. 17) at 10AM local time, while American Express Card Members will be able to buy tickets to the upcoming dates beginning Thursday (Nov. 18) at 10AM in a pre-sale that runs through Thursday (Nov. 18) at 10PM local time.

Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday (Nov. 19) at 10AM local time.

News of the new dates comes just two days after Combs pulled off a major career victory at the 2021 CMA Awards , where he won the night's biggest award, Entertainer of the Year . He debuted a new song titled " Doin' This " during the broadcast, releasing it immediately afterward.

“This song means a lot to me personally," Combs shares. "Not to recite the lyrics, but for me, it’s truly about playing country music for a crowd, whether that’s 70 people or 70,000 people, and playing country music with my buddies in the band. It really doesn’t matter where we’re playing or how many people we're playing for because it isn’t about the fame, the fortune, the name, or the glory. It’s about getting to make and play country music.”

“I know that the price of everything has been going up these last couple years and there’s nothing I could do about that,” he says. “But the one thing I could do is set the price of my tickets. What I wanted to do was keep the ticket prices the same as they were before the pandemic. So these tickets will be priced just as they were the last time you bought tickets so I really, really hope you guys will come out and check us out. I can’t wait to see you on the road.”

Tickets for Luke Combs Middle of Somewhere tour dates are on sale next week, available to the general public on Friday, May 6 (with one on sale a week later, May 13). Fans can also gain access to a presale open to members of his fan club (the number to text is in his tweet above). There also appears to be plans for use of the Ticketmaster Verified Fan system for presale access, which requires fans to pre-register for up to two shows and doles out single-use passwords for the presale.

The tour adds to an already busy year for Combs, who plays at Stagecoach Festival this weekend, with appearances at New Orleans Jazz Fest, BottleRock , CMA Fest , and other festivals coming up, as well as stadium dates on his own in the summer. Dates for this new tour begin with back-to-back shows at Maine Savings Amphitheater on September 2 and 3, and run through a December 9 and 10 pair of shows at Paycom Center in Oklahoma City. Other cities along the way include Louisville, Charleston, Albany, and Lake Tahoe, plus a number of shows in Canada that had been previously scheduled.

The tour will also make stops in Albany, N.Y.; Charleston, S.C.; Oklahoma City and more. Joining Combs are openers Jordan Davis , Mitchell Tenpenny , Morgan Wade and Lainey Wilson .

Jelly Roll Says 'It Wasn't Just Bullying' That Led Him to Quit Social Media

In announcing the tour, Combs is cognizant of the increasing prices people are paying for everything from groceries to gas, and he is adamant about keeping his concert ticket prices affordable.

“I know that the price of everything has been going up these last couple years and there’s nothing I can do about that, but the one thing I could do is set the price of my tickets,” Combs said via a statement. “So, what I wanted to do was keep the ticket prices the same as they were before the pandemic. I really really hope you guys will come out and check us out. Can’t wait to see you on the road!”

Combs added via a statement, “I’ve been working on this album on and off for two and a half years now. It was sort of a crazy process through what COVID brought, and what that meant for our touring life last year. It made me have to put a pause on this album for a second, but I’m just really stoked that it’s finally coming out. Working with Chip Matthews and Jonathan Singleton as a producer has been really great and I think that the fans are going to love these songs. I’m just excited to get them out and see what they think.”

Prior to his tour, Combs will make a headlining performance to close out the Stagecoach festival in Indio, Calif., on May 1, and will also headline festivals including New Orleans JazzFest and BottleRock in Napa Valley, Calif. in May. He also has sold-out stadium shows set for Denver’s Empower Field at Mile High (May 21), Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium (July 30) and Seattle’s Lumen Field (June 4).

Exclusive: Luke Combs Kicks Off 'Growin' Up And Gettin' Old' Tour With His Iconic Miller Lite Hat Collection

Combs gave us all the juicy details on his tour and awards nominations!

luke combs x miller lite

"I’m just excited to be touring again. My crew had a well-deserved break and I enjoyed time off with my family, but I love playing shows—that’s my favorite part of this whole thing, so I’ll love being back out on the road and getting to play two shows a week," Combs told Country Living.

Combs Shares the Motivation Behind Gettin' Old

A lot has changed for Combs since his country music debut, including marrying his wife Nicole , welcoming two sons into the world, and amassing millions of fans. As he's growing up and getting older, his music has evolved from light-hearted party anthems and breakup songs to more heartfelt and mature country ballads (don't worry, there are still a few party songs in the mix).

"I mean, just as I get older and as things in my life change—being married and having two boys—my music seems to follow that in more of a serious aspect when it comes to what I’m singing about. Of course still some party songs thrown in there, but definitely a lot more songs with a deeper meaning," Combs said of his musical evolution.

Life on the road looks a little different now for the husband and father of two, and he admits that he values family time on tour above all else. "I bring my wife, Nicole, when I can. That’s the best thing. And my dog sometimes. And of course the boys when we can. Anytime they’re out or my parents and family, the road feels like home," Combs explained.

He's Still the Same Luke Combs We Know and Love

While Luke Combs may be growing up, there's a few things that haven't changed about the "Beautiful Crazy" singer: his love for Tracy Chapman's "Fast Car," trucker hats, and Miller Lite.

Of course, we had to confirm whether "Fast Car" made the cut for the "Growin' Up and Gettin' Old" Tour setlist. Fans, breathe a sign of relief: "Yes, we'll definitely be playing 'Fast Car.' Tracy's song has really resonated with my fans so I love playing it for them as much as I love the songs myself," Combs said. Now that that important fact is cleared up, we can move on to Combs's other mainstays: his hats and his beer.

It's rare to catch Luke Combs without a trucker hat on his head, whether he's on the red carpet, performing, or out on the town. Seriously, we think he may have an entire closet devoted to hats, but possibly the largest portion of his collection rep his favorite beer, Miller Lite. "I keep it casual most of the time. I love Miller hats. I have a huge collection of them and wear them all the time," Luke admitted.

Creating a Miller Lite x Luke Combs Tour Trucker hat was an absolute no-brainer. "Miller came to me about creating my own—it was perfect. We made sure to add elements of my album art and Miller Lite's design throughout. I really love the design that we pulled together," Combs continued.

Not only can you rock the same hat as Luke Combs for the price of a Miller Lite 24 pack, the hat could also end up being your ticket to a Luke Combs concert! When you buy The Miller Lite x Luke Combs Trucker (available April 17 at shop.millerlite.com ), you're entered to win two tickets to a Luke Combs concert, beer money, and two tickets plus free travel to Luke's Bootlegger Bonfire Weekend.

"I love Miller Lite and it's as simple as that. Miller Lite has been my go-to beer for years now and I love working with them to bring more beer and more music to fans," Combs concluded.

Luke Combs collabs with Miller Lite beer to bring new merch, a sweepstakes and more

luke combs tour quebec 2022

Luke Combs and Miller Lite have announced a concert tour collaboration together, renewing Combs' partnership for another North American tour with the beer by his side.

The two have collaborated on a concert sweepstakes, custom merch and a new Combs themed beer can.

Combs posted a picture from the "fine pilsner" brewery in Milwaukee, WI on Tuesday wearing a safety vest and hard hat in front of a wall of beer cans.

The caption said, "Really appreciate the folks at  @millerlite  showing me around their brewery and letting me get an up close look at how my beer cans are made from start to finish."

Here's everything we know so far about the 2024 collab.

What is the Luke Combs and Miller Lite concert sweepstakes?

Luke Combs is hitting the road for his "Growin' Up and Gettin' Old" 2024 tour in North America. He kicked off the tour on April 13 in Milwaukee, WI, where he toured the Miller Lite brewery.

The tour will continue with two stadium dates in 13 cities. The tour includes guests Cody Jinks, The Avett Brothers, Charles Wesley Godwin, Hailey Whitters, The Wilder Blue, Jordan Davis, Mitchell Tenpenny, Drew Parker and Colby Acuff.

On Miller Lite's website , fans can enter their information for a chance to win a trip to see Combs in concert on the tour.

Miller Lite's website says, "Continue below to enter for your chance to win a trip to see Luke Combs play live and other prizes from your friends at Miller Lite. Now you know why ice-cold beer never broke Luke’s heart."

The sweepstakes began on March 3 and will end on Sept. 30.

What do the new Luke Combs Miller Lite beer cans look like?

Combs' Instagram post shows his custom 16-oz Miller Lite can, which features a guitar headstock with American traditional tattoo-like text that says "Beer Never Broke My Heart," a nod to Comb's 2019 song.

The front of the can includes Combs' name under the traditional logo.

Miller Lite on Instagram: "Luke Combs is back on tour. To celebrate, we're dropping the new Miller Lite x Luke Combs Tour Trucker hat on 4/17, restocking daily until 4/20. Get yours while they last."

When did Luke Combs begin his partnership with Miller Lite?

In 2022, Combs partnered with Miller Lite, releasing his first limited edition custom can with the brand.

"Last year’s limited-edition Luke Combs cans did really well for us," Jamie Rubinstein, associate marketing manager for Miller Lite, told Beer & Beyond .

"Plus, we got great feedback that they worked well with our Americana displays, so we’re looking forward to seeing how this year’s cans come to life at retail this summer."

When will we see the 2024 Luke Combs Miller Lite cans in stores?

It is unclear when the new cans will be available for purchase in stores.

Fans speculate the cans will be available at Combs' upcoming arena tour stops.

What other Luke Combs and Miller Lite merch is there?

Combs and Molson Coors have collaborated to release the Miller Lite x Luke Combs Tour Trucker, a special edition hat. The hat features Combs' signature vintage style and is also a potential ticket to one of his shows.

Starting on April 17, Miller Lite began selling a limited number of the hats at their merch store online. On April 18, 19 and 20 a limited number of hats will be sold at 8 a.m. CST.

Each hat purchased is also an automatic entry in a sweepstakes contest, entering fans in a contest to see Combs at a summer show of their choosing.

“He’s the most genuine brand fan we could have asked for, and we’re excited to share his love for Miller Lite with consumers this summer,” Rubenstein said to Beer & Beyond.

“If you’re a fan of Luke Combs, you’re probably a fan of Miller Lite. It’s a match made in heaven.”

Before Luke Combs plays in front of the 'best fans' for his Milwaukee concerts this week, he tours Miller Brewery and even shotguns a beer

B efore Luke Combs kicks off his "Growin' Up and Gettin' Old" tour in Milwaukee this week, he went on another kind of tour. One that is quintessentially Brew City.

Combs, one of country music's biggest stars, is playing two shows at American Family Field : One Friday and another Saturday. But ahead of that, he took a tour of the Miller Brewery . And, we got to tag along.

Yes, he was every bit as kindhearted, down-to-earth and genuine as he seems. And yes, he shotgunned a beer just like he does on stage. Except this time, he was hanging out on a brewhouse rooftop with the iconic giant red Miller sign and the Milwaukee Brewers' ballpark as his backdrop.

Get daily updates on the Packers during the season.

Not only did Combs — a longtime Miller Lite fan and years-long partner — see where the magic happens, he also checked out the specialty packaging on cases and cans that's coming out in honor of his blockbuster tour.

"It's just surreal, you know?" Combs told the Journal Sentinel. "I feel like I get to live so many amazing, surreal moments. And, I'm really thankful for that for sure. It's crazy. It's crazy."

Here's what we learned about Combs' tour and what he got into on the Miller tour. And, how about his eight Academy of Country Music Awards nominations that were announced earlier this week? We asked him about those, too.

Luke Combs talks about his 'Growin' Up and Gettin' Old' tour and why he's kicking it off in the Midwest

A or A+ shows don't cut it for Combs. He's shooting for A++.

"I try to do everything I can do to take care of my voice, take care of myself, make sure that we're doing everything we can," Combs said. "People that come are the only reason we get to do what we do. Putting on an A++ show is really important to me."

About to embark on his 25-date stadium tour, he's excited — and "a little nervous."

"You feel like you're standing at the bottom of a mountain and you're looking at the top a little bit," he said.

But after last year's "Luke Combs World Tour," he said he feels more prepared for what's ahead of him.

"We've played everywhere all over the world," Combs said. "But, the Midwest, it feels like home to me. So, good place to start it."

HOW TO AVOID TRAFFIC: Luke Combs concerts could cause delays on I-94 this weekend

Combs, who grew up in North Carolina, hadn't been anywhere close to Milwaukee when he started his music career — his first plane ride came at age 25. But, he remembers his earlier stops up here fondly.

He opened for Blake Shelton at Summerfest in 2018 and made an appearance at Farm Aid at Alpine Valley Music Theatre in 2019.

"The Midwest is like the best fans in the world," Combs said. "I mean, honestly. People probably say that all the time."

But, that doesn't mean pulling out of the driveway Tuesday night wasn't hard after the "amazing" time he spent with his "awesome" wife Nicole and their two sons — Tex and Beau — these past few months. Fortunately, he won't have to miss his other half too long. She'll be headed up this way this weekend.

What will always make it onto Combs' setlist this time around? "The songs that people would expect," Combs shared.

"Playing all the hits," he said. "That's why people are there, and I want to give them what they want."

But, each night of the tour will have a different vibe.

Combs' opening acts Friday — in the order they'll hit the stage — are the Wilder Blue, Charles Wesley Godwin and Cody Jinks.

"Friday's more in the Americana, singer-songwriter world," Combs said. "So, our set reflects that a little bit. But, obviously, still playing all the hits."

Saturday's openers will be Colby Acuff, Drew Parker, Mitchell Tenpenny and Jordan Davis.

"Saturday night is more mainstream, Top 40 country stuff, which is what I do, really," Combs said.

Combs loves watching Jinks and Davis perform — they keep him honest, he said — and he knows they're going to kick some you know what.

The first opener will start at 5:45 p.m. Friday and Saturday, with gates opening at 5 p.m.

The parking lots will open at 3 p.m. Friday and 2:30 p.m. Saturday. Tailgating will be permitted. Give yourself plenty of time to drive in and get through security.

There also will be a "Bootleggers Tailgate Party" at 3 p.m. Saturday with two up-and-comers picked by Combs and Nashville-based concert series Whiskey Jam: Ryan Larkins and Graham Barham. It'll take place at Am Fam Field's Third Base Plaza, and will be free to attend for Combs concert ticketholders, with food and drinks available to purchase.

Luke Combs' love for Miller Lite and his visit to Miller Brewery

After getting into Milwaukee Wednesday morning, Combs hung out at the Brewers stadium for a couple of hours, worked out, then was off to the Miller Brewery.

How long has Combs been a fan of Miller Lite? "Forever, probably."

"My dad's been drinking it for a long time," Combs said. "It was always around the house."

If his music career never worked out, he said, he would still be sporting a Columbia fishing shirt and drinking a Miller Lite somewhere in the world.

"That's what I would be doing anyways," he said. "So, I really wanted to go after things that I was already passionate about that felt natural and authentic to me. So, I'm very thankful for (Molson Coors) being receptive to have me on board. I feel super lucky."

Sporting a Brewers Barrelman hat, Combs and his team walked into a conference room on the brewery's complex Wednesday. He was met by a small group of longtime brewery employees and other Molson Coors staffers. The beer cases and cans with his new specialty packaging were displayed on tables.

The design features a ribbon that says "Beer Never Broke My Heart" wrapped in between the tuning pegs of a guitar. Combs' name is at the top of the headstock.

After everyone went around the room introducing themselves, they were instructed to suit up in PPE — yellow safety vests, glasses, hard hats, toe caps and headsets.

On Combs' VIP tour of the brewery, he got a first-hand — and at times, hands-on — look at the operations with facts and history lessons along the way.

The first stop was a packaging plant, where Combs met machinist Jeff Malecki who has "But they ain't seen us together" from Combs' song "Forever After All" tattooed across his arm.

The two shook hands and got a picture together. That would become a reoccurring scene throughout Combs' visit.

It seemed like every employee who crossed paths with Combs received a handshake. And, if they wanted a photo or autograph, they got those, too, without any hesitation.

In the warehouse, Combs saw cases with the specialty packaging sliding out of a machine — he pulled his phone out to document that — and stacks of those cases getting carried off on a pallet via forklift.

At one point, Combs stood in front of what looked like a mountain of the cases. "Get this one," he said to a photographer as he hugged the cases as far as his arms would stretch.

Later, he'd get to snag one of the cans right off of a quick-moving line.

He got a taste of that and a few different brewery roles, including one that involved flipping a cardboard box filled with unconstructed cases into place. A few cases snuck out the back, but not too shabby for a first-timer.

"Thanks for letting me do that," Combs said to the workers as he shook their hands. "Thanks for letting me be in the way."

Combs also tried his hand at adding hops, one of which was liquid. "Have y'all seen 'Superbad'?" Combs asked with a bucket of hops in hand.

It reminded him of the scene when McLovin was trying to buy booze at a liquor store and said to the cashier: "You know, I heard they recently decided to add more hops to it."

Toward the conclusion of the tour, Combs said he had a "truly amazing" time. But, his favorite part had to be the grand finale.

He got to go up on a brewhouse rooftop with striking views of the city, the home of the Brewers and that big red Miller sign.

Up there is where he shotgunned a beer in under 5 seconds, and had the honor of sampling an exclusive maturation stock that not many get to try.

"To be standing up here is really a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity," Combs said.

How about those eight ACM Awards nominations

The 59th Academy of Country Music Awards nominations were announced earlier this week. Combs leads the nominations with eight , including entertainer of the year, male artist of the year, album of the year, song of the year, single of the year and music event of the year.

"It's really awesome," he said. "Always surprising, I think ... In a lot of ways, it feels like I've been doing this a lifetime. And, in a lot of ways, I feel like I've been doing it for six months. So, I feel like sometimes I'm so conflicted with knowing what to feel or think ... It's an honor. It's my wildest dreams coming true. So, I'm a very lucky guy every day."

A 2024 win via Combs nomination for entertainer of the year would clinch the coveted triple crown award, which consists of an entertainer of the year win plus wins in an act's respective new artist (male, female, duo, or group) and artist (male, female, duo or group) categories, a USA TODAY report said.

The event will air on Prime Video and the Amazon Music channel on Twitch live from Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas, on May 16.

Piet Levy of the Journal Sentinel staff and USA TODAY contributed to this report.
